Forces and Redemption in Israel

The lecture deals with an attempt to understand the forces of the era, their identity and essence operating in Israel and the world, with a comparison to prophetic and historical interpretation, and a call for faith and trust in the redemption of Israel.

Forces Operating in the Era

• The pace of events is very accelerated and accompanied by the awakening of diverse forces in the country and the world.
• Main forces: Ishmaelites, Edomites, Amalek, the mixed multitude, and the foreign multitude – each has a unique essence and aspiration.
• The mixed multitude is identified with secular rule in Israel, the foreign multitude with the traditional-national public.
• Exile is defined as a historical "grave," an experience of losing national hope.

Prophetic and Rabbinic Interpretation of the Gathering of the Exiles

• The prophet Ezekiel speaks of the gathering of Israel's exiles "against all odds."
• The tree of Joseph and the tree of Judah are interpreted as the return of all the tribes of Israel to the land.
• The vision is the unification of the tribes and one king (Messiah son of David), and the revelation of a permanent Divine Presence in Israel.

Exile, Divine Presence, and Jewish Identity

• The Divine Presence in exile is defined as dwelling in "shells" – mainly among the sons of Ishmael.
• Kabbalah likens Israel to a glove, and God’s hand inside the glove – the connection returns abundance and the Divine Presence to Israel.
• In exile, most abundance passes to the nations of the world, and in redemption – to Israel.

The Essence of the Palestinians and the Arab Threat

• It is claimed that the Palestinians are not pure Arabs, but their origin is in the seven biblical nations.
• Most Arab countries do not accept the Palestinians, and their ideology focuses on denying Israel's existence.

• Christianity (Catholic and liberal Protestant) is complicit in historical antisemitism, among other things around theological concepts of "replacement covenant."

• It is claimed that the left in Israel is allied with the global left and sometimes acts against the national–Jewish interest.
