• The captain saw the blimp descend rapidly and drop flares into the water.
• Blimp rockets back into the clouds and disappears.

Disappearance and Reappearance

• Air control tries to contact the blimp multiple times but gets no response.
• Sea planes dispatched to find the blimp; initially unsuccessful.
• Eventually, blimp is spotted unusually high and off course, then suddenly descends rapidly and disappears again.

Final Witness - Ida Ruby

• Ida sees the blimp again, noticing its deflated state and strange behavior, drifting uncontrollably towards her.
• Through her binoculars, she saw three men inside the gondola. There should only be two pilots.
• The blimp crashes in Daly City after scraping rooftops and hitting power lines.

• No one found inside the gondola. Everything inside appeared to be in working order.
