Overview
This lecture explains how to add and customize headers and footers in Microsoft Word documents, including font and style changes across multiple pages.
Viewing Multiple Pages
- Go to the View section and click "Multiple Pages" to see all document pages side by side.
- This view helps you observe header and footer changes across all pages.
Inserting Headers
- Click the "Insert" tab and select "Header."
- Choose a template: blank, three columns, or a custom header via "Edit Header."
- Typing in the header on one page applies it to all pages.
- To edit font style, right-click the header, highlight text, and adjust font size, color, or style.
- Header formatting applies to every page automatically.
Inserting Footers
- Go to "Insert" and select "Footer."
- Type your footer text; it appears on all pages.
- Highlight the footer text to change font size, color, and style using right-click or the Home tab.
- Select different footer templates for custom styles.
Customizing Headers and Footers
- Return to "Insert" > "Header" or "Footer" for advanced or stylized templates (like "bended header").
- Selecting a style applies it to all document pages.
