    1. Socialist

Socialist Principles

  • Article 38: Justice (social, economic, political)
  • Article 39: Free legal aid and equal opportunities
  • Article 41: Right to education and work
  • Article 42: Humane conditions for work, maternity relief
  • Article 43: Living wage, decent standard of life
  • Article 43A: Worker participation in industry management
  • Article 47: Nutrition and public health

    • Overworked workers in poor conditions → lack of humane conditions and low wage.
    • No union allowed → workers lack participation in management.

Article 39 Breakdown:

  • LDC goes to PHC: LDC = Livelihood, Distribution, Concentration of wealth; PHC = Primary Health Center:
    • L: Adequate means of livelihood for all citizens.
    • D: Distribution of material resources.
    • C: Prevention of concentration of wealth and means of production.
  • P: Equal pay for equal work.
  • H: Preservation of health and strength of workers and children.
  • C: Development opportunities for children.

Gandhian Principles

  • Key Aspects: Village, Panchayat, Cottage Industry, Cooperative Societies, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Prohibition of Drugs/Alcohol, Cows and Cattle Slaughter

Mnemonic Story

  • Imagine a village with a panchayat:
    • People live in cottages.
    • Formed "Amul Co." → cooperative society, cow milk production.
    • No discrimination → promotion of scheduled castes/tribes.
    • Alcohol is prohibited.
    • Village panchayat is run by Mahatma Gandhi.

Liberal Intellectual Principles

  • JPCEMENT:
    • J: Judiciary separated from Executive.
    • P: Peace and security (international).
    • C: Civil code (Uniform Civil Code).
    • E: Early Childhood Care and Education (less than 6 years).
    • M: Modernization of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.
    • E: Environmental Protection.
    • N: Protection of monuments and historical sites of national importance.
    • T: Promotion of international peace and security.
