Baro ad and I'm the operations director for elite mentoring program Elite mentoring program has been going on for four years and through covid and everything by the grace of God we've been able to overcome the challenges and we're here and today we're going to have some wonderful time and one of the initiatives that we're using for this development is the career and professional development initiative which helps to guide you or in the career path that you've chosen or help you unlock the opportunities that you look to have so the first part will be me doing the talk on LinkedIn optimization then the second part is going to be with Mr osward another guy and Mr osward is a wonderful friend he he started his startup in um some years back and the startup has gone from a startup to an international company he's won awards all over let me just mention some of the awards that he's won um so he's he's the winner of the African Union Global competition for young for youth startups 100 most impactful change makers in Africa best democracy affirming startup in Africa and top five World worldwide top 20 exceptional outstanding law students in Africa so Mr oswal is also a lawyer and but the part that we're focusing on is his Tech side and his love for Tech and impacting young people so he also going to be speaking on how you can start your startup and take it globally so it's going to give you tips on what to look out for if you're trying to position yourself for an organization I believe that his story is going to inspire many of you Tech graduates out there the third section is going to be with um um Linda Miss Linda latte and Miss Linda latte is going to be speaking on um graduates education and everything in terms of you looking to further your education in and what's it called abroad so she's going to give you the various opportunities that are available in that aspect yeah so before I I continue I have a surprise for all of you I don't know if um George can help me out if you can unmute HIC our founder is in the house and it would like to say a few words hicc Mr joh much yeah um so he's been unmuted I think okay so if he can unmute yeah hello sir you have your hand up okay so I think I'm going to continue on when he he is's able to figure it out do it yeah so Frank um kindly open the first slide all right so I'm talking about LinkedIn optimization today and a lot of us have heard about LinkedIn most of us have accounts over here but one of the things I've noticed is that there's an a potential concerning LinkedIn that we've not tapped on to that we need to focus and develop and make use of and I believe that it's going to go a long way in our Tech careers and everything so um um unlocking your career potential that's true LinkedIn optimization for Alx graduates congratulation on finishing your courses with Alx well done all of you I'm excited for all of you because I know how difficult it is to um commit to um doing an online study so congratulations so the career and professional development initiative is dedicated to empowering individuals like you who have graduated from Alx and software engineering um backend and front end Salesforce AWS Computing data science data analytics and the virtual assistant roles to secure rewarding career opportunities through our comprehensive LinkedIn optimization so I'm going to talk about a few things that you can do to optimize your LinkedIn to make the most out of it um can we go to the next slide please beautiful when you open your typical LinkedIn account most of us just have maybe a picture or or nothing else or some people don't even have a picture they just created a LinkedIn account and just put their name there so that when they ask oh yeah I can I have a LinkedIn account okay is it better can you hear me better eser okay so I'll continue speaking and I hope you can hear okay great turns up great all right so most of us have accounts like how um when you do your CV you can write or I can speak flu ly in French English Linguistics and all sorts of things we put certain languages there and then when you are called to the sports to come and answer concerning the languages or some of the things you've put in your CV then you are like hey what I just put it there mine is more basic French jel Mark paragraph such things but in terms of LinkedIn there's a whole world out there that we are we are missing out and that we are not tapping into that I'll encourage all of us to look carefully at so um if Frank doesn't mind can I see Frank's um LinkedIn accounts yeah Frank is going to show us his LinkedIn account and when you even look at Frank's LinkedIn account this is what typically most LinkedIn accounts look like yes Frank has hash open to work it's like Frank he has even gone at head cry and puts a picture there computer pencil and a number of things going on there and even the background for the head that there's nothing over there there's nothing showing he has his name which is great and he has used the pipe method which is also a good method of putting out your skills so Frank says it's a vital freelancer 3D animator graphic designer Avid art AR Enthusiast and the thing is that if you were someone employing someone and you see a profile like this and this person says he's a graphic designer think about it Frank say is a graphic designer in a 3D animator and we go to Frank's page and I'm looking for someone to help me with my graphic design I'm wondering because if you a graphic designer what's happening at the space behind there like can't you design a a a nice header and put it over there behind your picture and you're supposed to also take a professional picture and puts it as the profile picture and I believe that when someone even comes to your account and they see that oh you've taking it a step further it goes a long way to give you better Optics in terms of positioning yourself out there because the thing is that you may be very good at the thing you may be exceptionally great and I've worked with Frank on a number of things and I think Frank is really really good in his graphic design but the thing is Frank has hasn't positioned himself himself out there properly in such a way that he can be found and given the opportunities that will fit what he can do so that's a lot of the challenge that many people in the space are suffering from or having um in terms of positioning yourselves out there for a job because yeah you've gone through the course you acquire the skills and nowadays most people are even not employing based on your certificates per se but on your skills your ability to show that hey I can do the job but over here when we come here LinkedIn is a place where thousands of people are getting jobs every second about six people get a job so if you position yourself out there properly you can go a long way to get a job request so one of the things you should look at when you're working on your LinkedIn optimization is to do that hether over there and you can go to canva Cana gives you free options you can go there and edit your name and put it then put it nicely behind over there you click on the small camera at the top right and you can change the picture over there I'm sure you you guys are tech people so these things are basic for using it yeah but sometimes it's the basic things that people Overlook did you get what I'm saying all right so we're let's go back to to the slide yeah so one of the main things you have to do is that you have to craft a captivating headline and first of all one of the things when you are crafting your headline is that it has to grab an attention in terms of marketing s it has to have a hook you know when you're scrolling on Instagram the something comes up and it catches your attention and you stop scrolling and you open it and watch more yes because it started with a book so when people are going through um LinkedIn session for people to give jobs to you your accounts the way your own is CL is clear and has concise message that okay I'm a uxui designer and this is my skill sets you you have to have you have to have key keyword Rich headline that showcases your expertise and alliance with your career path that's very important so you can you can decide to go to um the LinkedIn job search and search for maybe U uiux designer and copy the job description when you copy it I'm sure a lot of you know how to use CH GPT so you copy the um job description in the summary everything and you put it into ch ch GP you said that develop um keywords out of this and CH GPT is going to give you a list of keywords that are associated with a job road that you are interested in so you can take the first 10 or the first five and make sure it cuts across every aspect of your description and everything so that when people do searches I'm sure because of your Tech background you're aware of how the algorithms work so when you your your your account is rich in a keyword search when a keyword is searched you are likely to be part of the options that come up I I hope it's understood the next the next thing that you have to look into is optimizing your summary craft a compelling summary that highlights your unique skills your experiences your values your procision and your potential to um employers is very important some some have left their um LinkedIn accounts very bad but if you if you're a graphic designer like Frank if you've worked on certain things it's very important for you to put it out there even if are running a business there's a way that you can also have a business account connected to your LinkedIn profile and you can use it for free advertising because when you're out there you're putting your things there a lot of people are using Instagram and a lot of people are benefiting from Instagram and Tik Tok but one of the um places that a lot of people are leaving out is LinkedIn and you you should take advantage of LinkedIn if you're very serious about taking your career to the Next Level because LinkedIn whatever CEO or whatever position the person finds himself the person can be found on LinkedIn whatever business they are all on LinkedIn it's a professional place and it's also very Global so it's a place that you should actually look into then um Step number three remember to show your achievements I I wish we could go deep into the things and I can show you step by step how we can do it but this is just an introduction and I believe that you guys are very intelligent and you can do the work that needs to be done to take your optimization to the next level but if you follow this few things I believe that it's going to help you and it's going to go a long way so quantify your accomplishments assuming um maybe you sold water or since we are in a tech space let let me use an an example that Associates to take maybe you work on um a project with a group and you were the graphic designer for the group instead of just coming to say that oh I I'm I'm I'm a graphic designer and I designed a a program for Alx you can see that you can have a picture of what you did and you can say that through my work with Alx I was um pleased and you can actually use chat GP to also help you in terms of writing this thing so you can come up with your idea and say hey chat GP please come up with a very compelling um summary for my post and CH GPT is going to give you options that you can use and put in there but you can see that hey through my work with Alx we designed a program called unlocking Global opportunities and with that we had over 100 people coming to be impacted you see when people read stories like they can see that okay your your work as a graphic designer transcends just or I'm a graphic designer but it transcends that and it shows the impact your work has and I'm sure you've heard that when you are optimizing your CVS also leveraging multimedia enhance your profile your profile with re relevant pictures um LinkedIn is not like Facebook where you come and put um ice cream and all those if if ice cream relates to your your career and you can come up with a nice caption that will help your career path I think then you should go on there but you shouldn't have all sorts of things um all over the place on LinkedIn you should have it focusing or directed towards what you are trying to achieve or the the career path you are pursuing I hope I hope I'm you're getting me that I have some emojis to to know if I'm connecting with you all right beautiful wonderful all right Frank let's go to the next slide connect with relevant professionals if I'm interested in in UI uiux I'm going to find the top 10 uiu designers in Ghana and I'm going to connect to them I'm going to find the top 10 uiu designers in the world and I'm going to connect to them yeah it makes it difference I remember when I when I was um starting a business I looked at it um in in real estate I I was on Instagram and I was looking at some portfolios of the Realtors out there those who were killing it and doing wonderful jobs and I was like oh wow this guy has the things like when I watched this thing I was like Wow amazing this is really really cool and I was learning from you I was taking notes from that's what you better benefit from connecting to um industry leaders that are connected to what you're trying to do so you first of all you see the trends that are out there what they are doing how they are doing it and you can actually craft your work around it so that you can connect with them properly so now I I I did a case study of what he does the the the project is on how he even shoots his videos because it even gives you an idea of how you can put your post out there because he will do a project and he will put it out there and describe that this and this and this and this so it guides you it's like a form of um indirect Mentor because sometimes you may not have access to directly speak or interact with these people but by their work on their profiles you can see a lot of things and yes unfortunately there's some Gus out there who also do not have time to be on LinkedIn and other things but they've some written books some have webinar some have um workshops and things and these are things that you can connect to but where do you find them out we find them out on their um portfolios they say like okay I'm having a webinar here this this this this they say Okay then if this webinar is close to me or it's something within my jurisdiction or something or I don't have to break my back in quotes to get there then you can arrange and get there and connect with this Mentor that you have so it's very important to connect with relevant Professionals in the field that you're engaging in you may be surprised because some sometimes they even post um jobs that like okay I'm looking for somebody to help with this and boom Another Thing engage with your community every Comm every every um skill has a community on LinkedIn so if you connect with that community and they are discussing something it gives you an idea when you are commenting on these things what happens is that the algorithm recognizes what you are interested in and direct more of such contents towards you so now instead of just wasting our time on Tik Tok and watching funny videos and things which they help but now we are very focused on developing a career because we've come to developed the skills in elx we've we've gone on coures we've studied and we've gotten the skills now let's develop the career path you can enjoy later but right now this is the time to build the foundations that need to be built you see a lot of us or some of us the thing is when we started out we didn't really take um our schooling very seriously but the opportunity that we've gotten as a second chance through Alx and other um portfolios out there that are giving us skills gives us a second chance or a second edge around it or yes you you followed the a certain path but you realize that no this is not for me I'm a tech person this is where my interest line so this is where you have to put in the work and we are very young people I'm excited that this a young people's platform we are young people we have the energy we have the strength instead of giving our time to Super bet and all those other things I believe that we can focus our strength towards developing our careers and becoming better leaders yeah bro the super vet things people think that that's the key to coming out of difficulty but how many people do we know that have really come out of poverty through um online bets not many unfortunately and you see one of the things I want to say about communities is that like your body like your body there is um an immune system that prevents outside things from coming in so when you start engaging with your the Community you'd want to be a part of realize that it was it's not going to be easy yes you may feel neglected you may feel like people are just looking down on people are but this is where you need to gr and put in the the work yeah don't don't don't worry SP B nearly got me into serious trouble and de yes you see it promises you a shortterm solution but the ramifications are very high so you realize that hey I did a six month course on on on Alx I'm done now what else fam nobody's come to carry you and put a job on your lap and say hey job take it no no no now it's time for you to position yourself and say that hey friends I am now and you see that's another thing another deception is that you you are not there yet so don't think that after you graduated from the course so you're like oh that's it I'm done I'm done oh charie jobs should be coming and when you you are even given a job opportunity that's another thing I notic when you're given the opportunity to even try your hands on something some people come and be like oh charie the way the way the thing is uh I need to be paid $10,000 but far your is your skill level at $10,000 the output you are giving is it $10,000 level that's my question to you so what we have to understand is that we are still veloping and we are still we still have a lot to learn so get into the communities focus on learning and still reading wide on the top because some of the topics that you you even went through they couldn't really go deep into it so you can go to YouTube you can go to and Linkedin they give you opportuni to even take courses there and all those things and it goes a long way the last thing I'm adding because um my time is almost up and we're going to go into is that leveraging alumini networks you see in terms of leveraging alumin networks you have people who finished five years ago you have people who finished three years ago in just courses that you're looking at and they ahead of you and here here in EMP what we do is that we connect people with we connect people with the mentors that ahead of them in the industries I remember I was speaking to someone yesterday and she was like like I'm really interested in playing the keyboard but I've never seen a female keyboardist and I'm and I'm like there are so many of them out there just because they are not in your current space yeah that's true we need to change our mentality towards work certificates is half the step to employment very true very very true because now people are looking for people who can actually solve problems so if you can make yourself a Problem Solver it it will go a long way because that Mentor you even looking up to the truth of the matter is that maybe he may even be swed up with so much work but if you come and position yourself like oh have time for me oh um give me money then you are shooting yourself in the foot what you can do is that hey I'm here to help is there anything you need help with then you are around and you are trying to help with things even if you're if if like I'm a web web designer and I see a mentor that I really like and I see his website and his website I realize that there are some Integrations I can do to make it better I'm not going to go to him with a proposal and say hello sir I'm a web designer pay me $5,000 for me to nobody's going to take you seriously first of all design I I I would personally sit down and design the website and do the integration that I feel will make his website better and I'll present it to him say hello sir said I saw your website this is what I I liked and this is what I did to help your website to take it to there and I thought that these things if we add them it will make your reach better this this this this this the person will take notice of you first of all yeah and when you start doing these things now you are not going to them for hand me overs and all those you actually solving problems for them do you get what I'm saying and there are some alumin that have been able to make the mark and one of the things I want you to understand is that if someone has paid the price to be where they are there's no way that you you say that you won't pay the price to get there there's no shortcuts anyone who decides to go on shortcuts will rather end up shooting cutting themselves short or shooting themselves in the foot because there's no shortcut to any destination you try it and see you tried it with super bets and all sports bets someone was saying over here and it got you into debt that's the thing there's no shortcut there's a price to pay for everything yeah so he says he's a web designer in Ghana and nobody would mind him if he goes yeah that's true but if this person this web designer in Ghana goes on LinkedIn and he designs websites and puts together his portfolio neatly okay one two 3 four five these are website I have worked on this and you can even do a search recruiters for this job and you can reach out to them because or follow them they also will be giving out this thing and on LinkedIn whatever job that after you finish optimizing your things I'm ending with this after you finish optimizing your things turn on the notifications for um the job that you see so if you see a job R you click on it and another secret that's um you need to take notice is that in then in the first 10 minutes a notification comes for a job you increase your chances for getting it if you apply within 10 minutes by about 50% if you apply within the first 10 minutes so what else are you doing you you have the skills you don't have anything else to do and then notification comes you're going to sleep on it see when you when you even study code calling one of the things they do they make thousands of calls in know thousands so you give them a list to call I've called four people they did Pi so I decided to send them message fam you're shooting yourself in the there's a month to it the more the connections the more the more the contacts the more the connections and the more you are able to close um and Views so even in the Bible the Bible gives a one over four so if you're looking to get um 100 people then it means that you have to reach 400 people to get that 100 where is where does it said the Bible say went out to S some fell in the on the way side some fell on the thny ground some 14 is the one that fell on the good soil the Bible spoke of four soil so one4 it's only one4 that years so look at the effort and the time that you are putting into things and and see that hey if this is what I'm looking to acquire at this time then I'm going to give myself the opportunity to make this Mark and give yourself targets that okay I don't have a job so every day for eight a minimum of eight hours because that's the minimum working time of a job a minimum of eight hours I'm going to be applying for jobs I'm going to be um working on my optimization I'm going to be positioning myself I'm going to be putting out in relation to my job I'm going to be sending um um what what letters to companies like I'm going to get a list 100 companies in Ghana that do web design and I'm going to to get my CV to all that 100 companies pay the price yes thank you man pay the price and when you pay the price nobody can can keep you out thank you so much and um it's US World here okay so thank you so much um I'm going to give time to hicc hicc if you are available to speak let me let me know thank you all so much for um your time I believe that we're we're we're we're we're benefit and don't leave because this is not the end it's only going to get hotter yeah yeah it's only going to get hotter nobody just started from where they are and just jumped to a place of no no no no everybody paid the price when they saying desp said that he sold CDs and all those things and we'll be making fun and jokes about but F there a real hassle behind the thing we say um some of the great innovators yeah some of the great innovators what what they what they did was that um they they work thousands of hours and all those things yeah and they fil so many times but don't make failure at the end of it failure is just a learning care yeah don't give up we are very young we are very young I remember so many times where I've been encouraged by by by by my mentors and they like Mark you're a young man and I'm like Char the life is lifing and the life is happening and you know but you're still a young man there's so much ahead of you so put in the work Envision the next 10 years where you want to be your where you want to be and put in the work towards it yes you may not have a degree now you may not but you can develop the necessary skills and you'll be rubbing shoulders with the the top top people in the various Industries or after the they hand a B on because after 10 years the people that were 30 will be 40 the people that were 40 be 50 you see so there will be a new generation that will be coming on I realize that a lot of us young people some of the decisions that have been taken have not necessarily favored us but we can position ourselves and prepare ourselves in such a way that even though we are coming from a handicap it will not limit us from achieving the goals and and and plans that God has put in our hearts okay thank you so much yeah so put in put your questions um in the in the question side and after everything we're going to answer them yes so put your questions in I'm really excited for you guys I'm really excited for you so I'm I'm going to hand over to our next speaker if you if you're also enjoying it you can at the end we can we're going to have a space for feedback and things so you can how can I connect with alumina is it strictly on LinkedIn no um so we are on actually EMP is on actually all the um social media handles so we're going to put out the um we're going to put out the um what's it called the QR code so that you could connect to it so that whenever there's something I believe that is you can you can connect to it be a part of so it's not just LinkedIn there's Instagram and all those things but we can do everything in one day you know room was not built in a day you you get it and little drops of water really do make a mighty oceans yeah so let's let's let's get connected let's do that is it possible for us to get the recorders I I believe so I believe so at the end it will be on the YouTube accounts and things so I'm sure the recordings will be out there yeah I believe so okay so um Frank can you put out there social media um handles and things so that the people can connect whil we wait for for our next speaker to join yeah so I'm going to give you a few minutes um you can follow us on Instagram you can follow us on LinkedIn and connect with us over there yeah so I'm going to give you two minutes and I'm going to be back all right okay so thank you very much Mr Mark so as we scan the QR codes on the screen if you have any questions let's remember um to put them in the Q&A session okay let's put all our questions in the q& so that um it will be addressed one after the other after the session thank you everyone all right guys so I'm excited and our next speaker is coming on and I hope you're scanning and you're following the the platforms yeah I'm excited by the opportunity that Co showed us because we realize that you can be in room right all over the world and the next speaker is someone that I've known personally and he started a company in Ghana he one award all over he's currently even in the states right now because of his work and he's he's a great inspiration especially for young people who have the dream to start a business from Ghana and be Global yeah I believe that his story is one that will bless a lot of you and we're going to be really excited we're going to be really blessed by his journey I was I was part of I was part of the journey when we we started um when he started the company flat Gates yeah it's been an inspiration and was a great opportunity yeah so I'm really looking forward to him coming in so like I said osal is a lawyer and also in Tech but don't say that oh I'm not a lawyer so please there you go with the excuses stop giving yourself excuses I read from some place I think yeah I read from some place that somebody with half your IQ is making 10 times what you make because he's not intelligent enough to um doubt himself yeah so stop doubting yourself whatever you can you plan you have in your heart to do just Dan you may not have it all together but just start and as you start you'll find out that the opportunities will be coming up and they will be showing themselves yeah so Mr world are are you here yes I am wonderful so let's welcome our next speaker Mr ORD I'm not that guy so Frank kindly hand over to Mr ORD hello everyone I hope you can hear me clearly yes sorry all right uh thank you very much and it's a pleasure to be here thank you very much to Mark and the entire team for the invitation I I think it's a wonderful program that you have put together and I would be sharing a few things on taking advantage of global opportunities and the reason is because I always say that I've had way more opportunities from outside of Ghana than in Ghana and I think that's one of the things that led to that was actually preparing myself to be able to compete at the global stage so if you usually think about things and the standards that are within your country you might limit yourself when the time comes and then you have to meet with other people you realize that you probably had been measuring Yourself by by uh much lower standards and at the international level there are a lot of opportunities that are available to everyone in fact way more opportunities than we can think about and so I want to share my screen and share a very simple presentation my presentations are usually very straightforward um very simple text very simple words and then I explain what is there so unlocking Global opportunities anyway a bit about my background let me just add a few things I I'm the founder in CEO of flat Gates international corporation headquartered in Silicon Valley and also in started from Ghana now in Silicon Valley San Francisco and uh we have been we are working in the areas of digital identity technology and a few other things I'm also the city of wingi in Ghana and so my my background has mostly been in software uh development and Engineering uh developing Solutions I think about 14 years now right yeah so about 14 years experience in software engineering and um working in the banking sector in payments Healthcare and a few other sectors as well about four years ago we decided to I decided to actually uh quit my job at a bank and then start a company full-time and today four years later I mean three and a half years later it has come with a lot of um opportunity for example we developed a technology that was awarded the number one democracy affirming technology in Africa and the top five worldwide uh were awarded by the US Department of States uh Microsoft and I University and we're invited to the White House we also awarded a winner of the African Union Global Africa competition startup competition and a a few other opportunities around the recog by the United Nations amongst others so like like I said a lot of the opportunities come from the international level and if you think about Ghana then you might be adopting a scarcity mindset which we'll be talking about sometime in the presentation but think about the global space especially today that uh Communications technology has made it possible for people across the world to gather together in real time and to collaborate effectively on projects so I'm going to be continuing with my present presentation if you have any questions uh you can share them I'm going to make it as brief as possible and so if you have any questions you could put them in the chat or you could keep them and then ask them after the my presentation all right so the first thing I'm going to talk about in addressing Global opportunities is the myth of scarcity when you turn on the television or you online you hear people complain about a lot of things and people talk about say that there are no jobs um there are no opportunities the economy is hard I mean you can you can determine that these some of these things are in actual fact the case generally for everybody right however for individuals opportunities are always Limitless so and the reason why I'm saying this is it is possible for an individual to prepare themselves or to set up themselves in a way that they will not be affected by what happens to everyone generally and this in terms of scarcity of opportunities it constitutes a great MTH that people allow themselves to believe and the people who allow themselves to believe these things this this point is are usually they are usually the people who are not ready to put in the work to get to where they want to go and so when they try something once or twice and it doesn't work they leave it and then they complain and say things are hard obviously things are hard and opportunities may seem scarce for the general public for example how many data analytics jobs are available in let's let's let's pick Ghana in Ghana today there there may be very few data analytics jobs available in Ghana today or even across the world available to ghanians compared to the number of people who are qualified to do data analytics and however it is I know a lot of organizations that would hire a data analyst if the data analyst is able to prove value to them within the moment now this is why I'm saying that it may appear that things may be scar for the general public but it is possible to position yourself in a certain way and adopt a certain kind of mindset that would prevent that would allow you to not be affected by what affects the general public and I'm going to be talking about a number of these things as we go along and so the first thing is that do not think that opportunities are scarce opportunities are very far from being SC they are readily available they and but they are readily available to those who are able to differentiate themselves my second point is is competition let's say that every year we have about 200 Time 5 maybe 2,000 computer science graduates it's I know it's probably more 2,000 computer science graduates coming out of University every year and are we are we able to determine that we have 2,000 jobs in computer science and in computer areas waiting for those people to to join let's not forget that there were people who completed before people who have been around for 5 years 6 years and let's not forget that there are people who are also in other fields who are transitioning into Tech which is a very popular thing these days you need to understand that whatever you want in this world is wanted by at least 500 to a, other people that then so in this particular case you need to understand the competitive nature of what you are looking for you are looking to to find something and find a job find an opportunity get a contract or to be able to take care uh take advantage of an opportunity that over a thousand other people are looking for what makes you different from them and that's an important question which should lead you to an answer that should would help you to differentiate yourself having a degree or having a certificate is average just having it is average being trained in software engineer in alone is average being trained in data analytics alone is average being trained in any c alone is average because a lot of people also have that same qualification so when we stack you up against 200 people we probably will find 500 people with the same qualification that you have that alone is not enough to entitle you to a job in a competitive market and like I said there are people who are transitioning in from other fields there are people who are coming in fresh there are people who have been in the in the industry for a long time and have are also looking for the same opportunities and so you need to have a mindset to understand that it's a competition when your when the CVS arrive what's going to make you stand out when your name is sent somewhere when your profile is viewed when your portfolio is viewed what is going to make you stand out it's a very important question that everyone must ask answer and if you don't have a specific answer where you can say when my profile is is considered compared to everyone else who has my my qualifications this is what is going to make me stand out now when you think in that manner you realize that you start to multiply on the factors that will make you stand out so let's say that you did an internship while you did internships while you were in school or maybe you built you did a project that was interesting and that was very beneficial that saved the company a lot of money and you've demonstrated that you are able to run such projects uh and as part of your application once you realize that these are the things that differentiate you right you start to seek out more and more of those things so you become exponentially differentiated from everyone else and that's it with time it just makes you stand out so clearly that you would not believe the kind of benefits that you have it gets to a point where the opportunities will start to seek you out with with instead of you seeking them out and I don't know if you know about the 8020 rule it's the Paro principle which has been observed by uh many many people it occurs in nature it's like a natural law that says that 20% um produces the value for the 80% and so there are just a few things that you add to what you generally have what everyone generally has that differentiates you and makes you stand out and that is why it is important for you to have a competitive mindset about what you want to achieve the next thing I would talk about is creating a professional profile just merely having an account on social media or on LinkedIn is not enough to get get you anything like I said there are thousands of other people who are just like you now depending on your career path and what you have chosen you should seek to create a public record of your work and that public record should be viewable should be sharable amongst people whereby people don't even need to have access to your CV to be able to to see and to know that you are doing good work and so I remember when we I didn't to post much on LinkedIn about my work but then I realized that I was always leaving opportunities on the table because I would do so many things and then I'll never talk about them and so I started to share the work that I would do and I until today I think I only share about 5% of everything that I do there are so many things that I'm doing that so many places I go to so many businesses and other things that I do that do not even show up or on social media however the few things that I have shared it have makes it look like it starts to become like a roller coaster right it gets to a point where you can't even stop it because everything starts to compound right so let's say that you are the person who built a certain technology digital ID technology and this digital ID technology was adopted by a bank and it being ad adopted by a bank it was implemented and it achieved some success and so now people know that you are the person who build the technology that was implemented by the bank that achieved these results then it receives an international award then you say oh this is the person who received this award who did who built the technology that was used by the bank then the next time they see that okay you have another project in another country that you are running it just keeps compounding so your posts and your the things that you share publicly are not individual they don't operate in an individual space when people view them they view them in a cumulative manner right and so you start to achieve a an exponential effect on the things that you share and why am I talking about having a a sharable and publicly visible Professional Profile it's because in certain parts of the world I don't know where everyone else is but there are parts of the world especially where we are from where we are not encouraged to talk about what we do we encouraged to be humble we encouraged to be quiet we encourage to keep a low profile not to look like we are bragging or something else and because of that it actually builds up into having a sort of low self-esteem and inhibition from sharing information rather than even you even being proud or even sharing something that is normal you start to actually reap negative effects from that and the interesting thing that you start to see is that you start to notice people who are not better than you in any way in fact you are you are probably far far better more skilled than them you've probably worked on on more projects than them you probably even have achieved more impact than them but they are getting all the opportunities that you wish that you had why it's only because people know them that's a very it's just a very simple thing and the interesting thing is recruiters really like to reach out to people directly and hire them rather than consider all the merits of applications that they receive through their emails or through their inboxes and other things when you do something that is noteworthy and spectacular to some degree and it's viewed by the public it goes into into your public record of credibility and recruiters look for people who have done those things and who have that kind of verifiable information uh that results that is available and that is why to be able to stand out to be able to to to stick out of the thousands of people who want the same opportunities that you want it's very very important for you to build and maintain a professional profile that is viewable publicly and that is sharable and my Professional Profile has it precedes me in a lot of places that I go and then I get there and they like oh two years ago you were here you did that that was really great and I don't even know how they found out because you think that what I posted two years ago really means nothing but people are referring to what I did two years ago even though it's it's you need to scroll a bit to find it in my post people are referring to that to give me opportunities today and so it's really important for you to build and maintain that if you don't know what to do look at what other people are doing and then just copy it it's a very simple formula don't try to reinvent the whe there are very few challenges problems and questions that you will encounter that have not already been answered in the by the human race in a way that is readily available for you on the internet to see my next point is strategic preparation if you are attempting to achieve the next level of your career it is very important for you to plan on how you go to the next level and not just merely wait until you get to the point where you you are ready to enter the next level or you want to enter the next level for example if you're a student and let's say that you haven't started a degree everyone goes to school um yeah probably doing a course and then you start working on Special Projects you look for projects on campus that people are doing and you participate in them you try to do an internship with every single vacation that you get you specifically Target certain kinds of organizations to do your internships with because let's say that you you want to work at certain company if you finish your internship and then you have GCB Bank of Ghana uh n stanic and all these guys on your intership page on your CV it's it's almost a no-brainer for people to hire you even if you don't know anything that's a funny thing it's people like to look at symbolism and Status instead of particularly real work and that was one of the things that I probably wasn't very excited about to learn about people because I always like prided myself in the in my work and the quality of my work then you realize that people don't really evaluate those things they just look at validation that others have given so internships are a really good way for you to build up your profile when you start out there are very few reasons for people to do anything with you the best thing that you can do is to find a place to volunteer or to take on a very small role right at a small liability to companies you go to a company say hey I would like to work with you this is what I've done now like I said you need to present the company with things that you are capable of and you have already done that let them be interested in you in the first place right and then secondly you need to give them an offer that makes it very easy for them to probably work with you and not have to um do anything but in today's age everybody wants to receive their bread immediately now people will soon very quickly come to see that that is a very losing formula when you start out you shouldn't play salary games you shouldn't play games uh competitions and comparisons of earnings allowances a lot of people share um what they are earning but you know people those people have been there for six seven years if you go into the kind of project they've done and even the work that they've done for free you might be surprised right so you might be tempted to go for certain kinds of um things but when you do that you lose the opportunity to gain a strategic role that would shoot you up to the next level faster than everyone else who is going on the standard path and that's just a little strategy it's a personal thing for you to decide no one can actually tell you to do that but for example if you get the opportunity to work at Apple for one year without any salary I would say that you should take it it doesn't matter what they are paying whether they paying people sitting next to you 500,000 uh USD per year and you are earing nothing you should take it because after working at Apple for one year it opens the door for you to be able to go to almost every organization in this world that you want to go into and you realize that if you hadn't taken that job maybe you are taking another job where you were being paid $60,000 a year you you you it might take you about five to six years to get to where you can go after working at Apple for free so look for these things plan strategy and then find a way to to prepare yourself before you get to the point where you actually need a job or you need a project a contract or any kind of thing that you're looking for the next thing is CVS and portfolios the I when I spoke about a professional profile I wasn't speaking about a CV I was mely speaking about you having a profile where people see that you real human being who is doing the work right and they can view you doing the work while you're doing it CVS and portfolios are places where you summarize your work and then you leave them there as a record people rarely read CVS and for me I don't think I've ever had a job where they they even seriously considered my CV honestly it's a lot it's it's mostly it was mostly referrals and other thing but in places where you have to present a CV or your CV has to go before you you must make aim to make your CV at least 10 times better than average than the average CV that someone who went through the same kind of education and experience as you needs to provide one thing you should do is list projects on your CVS there are people who say that your CV should be one page I recommend you never to listen to those people just in as many things as you can there people generally just feel that when there's a lot of information then something is credible it's it's I think is also one of the flaws of the human race that I I was disappointed to find out but when you put in a lot of information people can see everything that you've done don't force yourself to force things into one page maybe behind your CV pick a project that you worked on that you were excited about even if it's just one explain what the problem was explain what you did explain what tools you used the challenges that you fa when you exit when you were executing the project put all those things together and add them to your CV even if it makes it two or three pages and don't just go and drop a onepage CV with nothing in there one page CVS are I think it's also another fancy thing that came up and I've even heard recruiters say that themselves but if the recruiters will be honest they know that they're signaling with voluminous information and extra information actually makes them pay more attention than if it's just a simple thing the only thing you need to do is that you need to make sure that the first parts of your CV are very uh well I mean the first part of your CV capture attention they have to capture attention you need to list your skills straight away things that they'll be looking for and this brings me to a point that I feel is important for everyone to know you need to think like an employer don't think like somebody who is looking for a job think about someone who is looking to hire a data analyst what will the person be looking for in a data analyst what will the person see that will excite them to be to to communicate further with a data analyst after what after viewing their CV and the interesting thing is use very strong bold Point points and then compress as much into the headlines of your CV of the job as possible because people a lot of people unless there's something that has struck them about your CV when they are just skimming through them they mostly focus on the headlines so that's another tip people rarely read the Vol additional voluminous information unless you've already crossed and gone into a much deeper area a lot of people really read anything much less CVS when they are going through thousands of C so the additional information that you add should speak towards what you are doing signal with volume but also make the headlines very eye-catching because after they have seen it say oh okay you build this system that solved this problem for 10,000 people or this system that brought in 50,000 Ghana cities per month for the additional revenue for a company just let that be the tagline so software engineer who developed a solution that did ABC before you come and describe what what else you did at that job and you achieve a lot of success with it if it's possible create an online portfolio website it's signals uh credibility as well buy a domain or host it on GitHub or somewhere and then show your work like I said explain and take people through your work when people see that style of reasoning I can assure you that 99% of people don't do that so once you do it it's one thing that particularly makes you stand out the next thing that I would be um sharing is networking people view networking as going to events talking to people connecting people taking their phone numbers but that's not networking networking is the the creation and communication of value if you are not seen as a valuable person it doesn't matter whose phone number you have nobody is going to interact with you to a certain degree a lot of people are already fully busy with their lives unless you are demonstrating some kind of value just forget about the networking it's not going to achieve anything in fact you might actually be annoying people when you decide to do that so whenever you communicate to someone tell them something about you that makes you interesting or that makes you seem like okay this is not a normal person you can so hey I'm a student who is interested in data analytics last year I worked on a project where I analyzed the um impact of government projects on something and found out this that this I'm me and then just something that makes you seem interesting show that you a person of value and don't say that you you you are not a person of value because maybe you've not done certain things right everybody has done something that makes them interesting or everybody has gone through a challenge that makes them interested when you go to people don't go and communicate to them to make to make it look like it's going to be a oneway street right try to provide some kind of value now you need to think about all of this and first of all the first step in networking is to create the value right so you have to first work very hard to become someone that people would be happy to communicate with or be excited to communicate with because networking is usually a two-way street you have to take the responsibility to make yourself somebody we Network with before you go and connect with other people as well and when you approach people always make it in such a way that you are offering them value the way in which a lot of people get PhD sponsorships strategically is to email the professors tell them what they are working on and tell them and tell them what they've seen about what the professors are working on and how they and give them their suggestions as to how they can make it better or they can improve it or could they could do something they could achieve something else with it and then the professors will be like oh hey I interested in a PhD position and then they get it it's very easy to do things to get things when you are the one offering the value instead of just looking to consume it from other people and that's is basically what network is about mentors it's good to have a mentor but when we talk about mentors people usually think about people that they speak with that they communicate with right and say oh this is my mentor you say I'm going to speak with my mentor I think that some of my greatest mentors don't even know that I exist because I've learned a lot from people by studying them going online watching their videos for hours and days and weeks and months even today I think today I've probably spent about um 6 hours watching listening to videos on YouTube and not for entertainment purposes from people who are ahead of me and where I want to go and I do this while I'm working so I mean I could have YouTube open and I'm listening it's just Place throughout the day right and then a lot of things gets ingrained in your mind and I've been doing this for many many years uh more than five six seven eight years and I've learned the ways and the mindsets and the principles that a lot of very successful people have used to get to where they are and I've see that reflecting in my life it's very difficult to get a mentor who would be happy to be communicating with you regularly for that kind of situation the the the cases where I've seen it work is where the person is actively acting as a mentor right it's not like the person is doing their own business or they doing their own thing and then and you want them to Mentor you they actually have taken up a role as a mentor where they have like a job or like responsibilities to execute in terms of mentorship either that or the person feels that you are someone with such great potential that they'll be happy to say that they were a part of your story in the future those are the only two situations where I have seen mentorship actually work Direct one toone mentorship actually work where the the mentor is interested in mentoring the the mentee and so that's how you should think about it like I said a lot of it is about value it's a lot of it about who you have shied yourself to be if you're an average person trust me very few people are going to be interested in mentoring you people want to be a part of a great story create a great story for yourself and show that you on the journey to bringing that great story to fruition and then people will be happy to be a part of your story I think that is my final section uh which is ai ai can give you so much that you you will not be easily able to get there are many revolutions that Chang the world the printing press when it was created allowed for books to be spread across board because people could now print books previously they will have to handw write the right them by hand right and after the printing press was created it allowed for books to be widespread and go all over the world and so people got copies of books and it totally changed the world when that happened because people could go through and read the books for themselves it got to another point where the internet was introduced and people could put a lot of information online now being able to access information online means that you literally even have to go anywhere or even purchase the books yourself to be able to benefit from what is in the books and what's in the knowledge we now have access to the the largest repository of knowledge that humankind has ever gathered on the internet readily available to us and the only thing that's left now is the interpretation of that information this introduction of AI especially with llms is a new printing press stroke internet skill change in the world and it's still very early so a lot of people are not seeing it imagine that you have the intelligence of a PhD Professor reading interpreting and categorizing information for you in seconds now they spent over $100 million training gp4 and a lot of these other models and it's available to you even for free to just use you could ask it any question I mean it does hallucinate like GPT 3.5 is absolutely terrible but gp4 in the others Cloud Opus and these ones and also truster AI the one that we um the the AI platform that we have developed gives you very sound reasoning and a lot of information that you would have probably had to read 15 to 20 books and had a deep understanding of a topic to be able to get and they Scout the internet and they put together all billions and trillions of of information made it available to you accessible on your phone so please take advantage of it don't let AI do the thinking for you but merge AI with your thinking processes if you want to work on a document ask for the outline from Ai and then use the outline to prepare the documentation with whatever you have then ask AI to fill in ask to fill in with what is missing so that you don't Outsource your thinking to AI we are we are looking to use AI to augment our intelligence so that we can start to think of a lot more things than what uh we have been spending our time on not trying to Outsource our our intelligence to the AI so that we stop reasoning or we stop consuming information and processing it and so look out for AI tools look look out for how it helps a lot of people are ashamed to say that they use AI to prepare documentation and other things but it's just like those days when Google existed and people didn't want to go to libraries anymore and they'll be like you are reading books online you are referring to cases online and there was a little stigma attached to it but now everybody knows that everybody references um things online everybody searches for information online it's going to become as normal as the those other phenomena Okay so Dre um hello Mr Mark um it seems um os's internet is um down a bit if you can okay he's back now okay wonderful over to you Mr osw hello Mr Ord osward could you unmute yourself okay yeah all right thank you so that was a last slide in my presentation I hope that you've been able to probably pick something or been inspired by something from there that is going to help you to um accelerate your professional life and like I said think about things in this way be think about things competitively you are competing with other people and how do you make yourself better than others who want the same things that you want how do you communicate to the people around you that you are valuable and you can provide them with some value these three things will definitely change your entire life your entire professional life and while people may be affected by General problems you would be having a very different experience thank you wonderful wonderful wonderful that was a very impactful session I really enjoyed listening to you um a few people have a few questions for you in the question and answers part so if you could kindly check it out and answer them okay okay yeah so let me just go through the questions that are here I see government employee teacher I want to know the ways in which LinkedIn can greatly help me in my career so LinkedIn can connect you to the rest of the world and one interesting thing I realized about LinkedIn is my posts are usually viewed by Executives and companies and these are decision makers these are the people who decide on things you might probably never be able to connect with the CEO of a company on um on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram but on LinkedIn you'll be surprised that they'll be viewing the things that you post and Linkedin gives you an opportunity for people to follow your journey so when I go to a place and I meet someone the first thing I connect with is LinkedIn because from there the person can see everything that you've done and anything that you post actually gets shared um so they can keep seeing it so I have people I met two years ago they probably know a lot of the things I'm still working on because of LinkedIn and that's what LinkedIn can do for you uh it helps you to reach the right kinds of people um people who can look at come to you and say hey I've seen what you're doing this is amazing can you come and do this for my company or would you like to work with us LinkedIn is a really great resource in that respect beautiful I see another interesting question from Isaac right he says please how were you able to reach that height okay well I've been doing it for a long time like I said I have a 14 years experience in building software doing it in different sectors different are so if you're looking at my height now it started about 14 years ago and I was always naturally curious self-driven I remember when I was learning how to write software I Was preparing to go and start my computer science degree we hadn't even yet um been admitted but I went and downloaded a book called C++ for dummies I printed it out paper and then I started writing the quotes from the book on the computer and then I just started building all kinds of things and that was 14 years ago and so imagine what that is um how that compounds over the years into different kinds of systems and all that so if you see me doing something today there have been over there has been over a decade in learnings and experiences and practical use of that to be able to achieve it it doesn't mean that you also need to take the same amount of time but it definitely requires for you to commit to um to putting in the work for a quite a substantial amount of time that's very true you have to pay the price for the next question is um where do I get the projects I'm not in school now I never did any projects while in school what can I do to build my portfolio just think of something that you would like to have and then build it or create it find out how to do it and then start doing it so I remember I just started working on projects that were interesting to me I I I remember we would want to copy movies and and other kinds of things from our friends and sometimes they've mixed the movies with documents and other stuff and I remember I just wanted to plug in a pen a drive USB drive and then every video should be copied onto my computer then all the documents can leave and so I actually one of the first applications I built was rating a software to be able to read a dis and then categorize the files and then copy it and if you just start thinking like that you start creating all kinds of things if there is a website on some public information that people need to know that nobody knows build a website and upload the doc the documents on it let people have access to it write about what you learned while you're working on it there are especially if you're in Africa there are too too many things around you to work on for you to not find anything to work on so just look around you and start solving the problems close very true start solving the problems look around you you say you're born in Ghana you have problems around you want to run our away these are the opportunities someone is asking what motivates you I I think I have a tremendous amount of potential that I don't want to see go to waste yeah yeah beautiful beautiful so when I when I'm seated or when I'm sleeping I just I'm just like what I could be doing something so I just especially when you start interacting with people in other time zones and you're like what I'm sleeping and people are awake working no yeah and you should travel whenever you get the opportunity even if you need to struggle to put the fans together to to to be able to travel when you travel and you see certain things it's totally changes your perspective and then you start to develop certain goals um that you want to achieve so I I think that that will really help and for me like going to San Francisco totally changed everything because you you are walking on the street with driverless cars taxis and everyone is building something with AI there's a lot of crazy things going on and it just sort of ignites something within you that makes you feel that there's you are also capable of doing something and you start to do it so also hang out with people who are doing great stuff your friends who are working on stuff the who you choose to hang out with also affect you in arica that's very true that's very true somebody be like oh me I don't have the money to travel this this please stop stop jumping on the excuses he didn't just travel today he's been working on it for 14 years and this is where he's got into so keep putting in the work keep building the um steps and you see that you get there don't give up um the next question um someone is asking what's the name of your AI trust out right yeah trust yeah let me type it into the into the chat all right then I used an AI to generate a website proposal for a client I finished the touches on it my client rejected my proposal claiming is not authentic how do I go around this uh don't use AI to generate websites and when you are speaking to clients it's not about the technical work that you've done you can speak to a client and have them pay you without you even building anything or even creating a folder on your computer clients have a need that they want solved you have the tool that is software they don't know anything about it and a lot of them don't care about how it works you feel that you've done a l of work but to your clients it doesn't matter at all you need to speak the language if especially if you're doing business you realize that it's very difficult different from the technical information and that's one thing that Engineers usually don't get even when you're working in a company you realize that the business people are bugging you about something that the customers want and you're like why don't they just use this feature it works but it's like that's not what the customers want so ones in needs are very different across different um Industries and so think about your customer what do they want to do ultimately they want more customers they want to be able to reach more people two they want to look good so the website must look very good or it must have certain features that will allow them to onboard more customers maybe are providing them with a marketing package in addition or something else that's how you need to think about it and then you you'll be able to probably have another discussion with your customers and work yeah and he say that I mentioned a website proposal but it's the same answer that he's given that try and think about the problem that you are trying to solve for the customer and when you draft your proposal around the solving of the problem the person will more than embrace it there are people who have so many challenges especially if you're out there trying to build a business or something and they are looking for people with answers to help so if you come in and you just come and give me a proposal that oh this this I use Ai No I'm not looking for AI work or I'm looking for Solutions so bring me a solution for my problem if if your solution is on a paper that's what I I'm going to take it I need a solution not just a proposal use Ai No no no it's not even about authentic work per se but what the person is looking for is a solution to their problem so Simon I hope your answer your question has been answered all right um as a graduate H&D graduate who wants to upgrade can I also volunteer to work for companies so that I can get more experience will it improve the higher chances of oh yes bro that's that's the way to go volunteer don't think about the money don't chase bro it's the skills and the truth of the matter is that yes a lot of people who have certificates on things are not there yet even in your in your course you didn't get 100% sense so that shows that there's so much that you don't know and even what you learned was not the en so you have to give yourself um more training by volunteering for these things how did you how did you build your business did you do it all by yourself or you had people to invest in your idea interesting question are you talking about fundraising um we avoided fundraising for a very long time um so I think it was just this year that we we accept fun some funding from some institutions but for the past three years it's been boost trapped uh from scratch we got into an accelerator but we left in the middle of the accelerator and we didn't take the money because we didn't like the terms it's a it's quite it's been quite a journey and you sacrific a lot so what I think maybe I should create a series on actually boost strapping a company without raising um an investment and all that probably would help a lot of people so that they don't run into the hands of um investors or Venture capitalists who give them stringent terms that makes them enjoy today and lose everything that they have in the future so my journey is quite it's quite different from the traditional one that you see we've used we basically use the tools that are available to us and it was not just me I've always worked with other people so beautiful beautiful so that's a an investor is looking for profits friend so don't think that it's going to give you free pay the price the same that's the thing if you're not willing to pay the price then you want to take a shortcut to try and pump you up to where you are not and then later the the things expose you don't want to talk about our GH City but yeah anyways the next question how did you build okay I think we've done this already how do you find a healthy balance chairman I think my idea of balance is different from the person idea of balance probably I I don't have that the kind of balance that people usually talk about um I don't have that kind of balance I work I'm I'm always working like before this call I think I woke up at 2: a.m. and I was working from 2 a.m. uh until until now and I to break to jump on one call and then jump on this one and I'm going back to continue working so you know probably like 18 hours of work every day and I've been doing that for the past four years um building my company and that for me is balance right it's balance for me I because I like what I do and I enjoy it and I like to see the results of my work and um for another person they might have other things that they want to add into the balance and one thing I've realized is if you want to balance things out think about what 20% of things can you do in every aspect that will still allow for things those things in your life to be successful what kind of things can you do with your family what's the minimal amount of things that you can do with your family strategically that will maintain the bond between you and your family if you are in school and I'm doing all this while in L school anyway so you can still imagine combining all of that with this um when you think about what can you do in terms of my academic work that will allow me to at least get the pass rate then you go to the next one your friends at least to maintain certain friendships but definitely you need to cut out a lot of other things I don't do a lot of things that people do I if I'm not in the office I'm at home or I'm at I'm at a meeting or I'm on campus it's it's usually one of those recently some people managed to get me to go out and then in night last weekend the last two weekends and I was recounting that that's probably the first time in about a year that I've actually gone up the weekend in in the year at night so you choose if you want if you want something there's a price to pay for it and what looks like balance every I mean if you really want to live a soft life your life must be hard for you to be able to live a soft life I mean I can get up and um a lot of countries I can do a lot of things now why it's because my life has been hard I choose to do the hard things that I can do the soft life I can live a soft life but I still don't choose to do it choose hard and difficult things yeah beautiful all right someone say I want to go into data and identic Cas from scratch um would you recommend online over traditional education a full-time worker I think the previous answer he gave covers this your question thank you so much Mr Oswald and guys we have one more speaker and even the time is almost up so um I'm sure we're going to have a number of these webinars as time goes on and it's going to be a blessing so the next speaker that thank you so much bro thank you so much God richly bless you the next speaker we are we are having is called Linda latte Mrs Linda latte and she she is given opportunities for people who are looking to stay abroad there are some ways opportunities out there that you can explore if that is the road you want to go on and guys you know the the time is not a lot so I'm I'm going to hand over right over to Mrs Linda and she's gonna give you a few nuggets Mrs Linda are you are you ready hi Pastor Mark I'm ready wonderful so I'm handing over to Mrs Linda Frank take hi hello everyone um thank you so much Pastor Mark for the opportunity and I must say that I have truly um I've been I've been really blessed uh just listening into um yourself and Mr oswal very great insights and um I believe that if we are going to pick on these um um points that have been shared we are going to really really Excel and so thank you so much for the opportunity to speak and thank you for organizing this um event so I'll just introduce myself again my name is Linda and um I'm a higher education specialist so I've have been in the higher education industry for close to six years now where I have personally helped people to study abroad so across countries such as UK US Canada Australia and yeah across these countries where um students are going to study and I like what um Mr osw said about traveling I don't know if anyone noted that but he said that you should travel when you have the opportunity and um you should put in all uh the efforts no matter what it takes you should travel because it really does changes your perspective it changes your your perspective it int uces you to the world out there because boy oh boy there are things happening out there that um unless you see it then a certain kind of inspiration also comes to you and so I'll just uh take the few minutes left to share with you um um how studying abroad uh can you know catapult you into um the life that we all looking for you know a successful life so um I mean study studying abroad is not a new thing at all um 50 years ago people were were traveling to go and study and if you look at even um a lot of our leaders you know uh presidents past present you know uh they've all had a certain level of International Education and so that is really really a um a thing that you should note and um it studying abroad really does influence your life in a different way and so I I would encourage everyone that once you have the opportunity and I'll come to that soon once you have the opportunity you should definitely travel why because it gives you a lot of benefits that here in Ghana you will not have it okay or even just Africa you may not have such opportunities unless you have traveled outside okay again one of the important things to note about traveling is the postcript graduate Visa opportunities that are available to you when you have been able to graduate from your course okay so a lot of uh the countries give you some time to stay over in the country that you have chosen to study and um you can stay over work do whatever you want and then from there you can actually um explore a permanent residence opportunities that are available and you would know that uh um um study studying abroad the numbers keeps going up and it it should show you that there must be something good happening and that is why students are also taking um these opportunities now I'll just brush over some of the reasons why people go and study um I know this is not news to you but I'll just go over it briefly now people again go abroad to study because of better education now I I wouldn't even want to go into our current education system because um it's it's not helping us okay so the better education um is available in different countries and this is where people go out there to to to to have that access again there's a certain level of knowledge and skill sets that you may not have just by studying here in Ghana or Africa and then um certain levels of expertise and amenities are also available to um um um students outside that we may not have here when when it comes to for instance for instance um some science courses um you know when you go to the laboratory you don't have a lot of things that you can experiment with to actually get to the understanding that you need and so studying outside gives you that opportunity uh for some people studying outside it's a social status because hey they find themselves uh with a couple of people or wherever they think they are in society they need to maintain that level and so they need to take their kids to study abroad and so that when their friends are talking they can also talk and then another um interesting or very important very important for a lot of Africans is there a a migration opportunity that studying abroad gives you and I'll come to that and then again um um um by studying abroad you can make very meaningful connections and I think Mr oswal made made mention of networking and he talked about how networking is not just about you know picking a phone calling somebody but adding value to yourself and so we come to all of that and I'm very happy he's mentioned all of these things and you see how these things are connected to making yourself you know a better person now planning your journey okay when we talk about studying abroad it it's a huge huge thing okay it's not just um hey I'm going to school abroad it's a lot of things okay and you need to be able to actually sit down and plan what you're going to do plan planning involves where are you going when are you going how do you how do you plan to go okay so the major things to consider is your finances and look it's not a joke planning to study abroad the finances involved is huge okay it's huge but again you got to pay the price and that's what we all keep talking about pay the price and for me one of the things that I I I talk about when it comes to finances is look around you okay look around you sometimes you have a family member who is actually um who may come along the plan of assisting you to study abroad maybe your father your mother they've not thought about it themselves but once you you bring the idea and you have identified the the good reasons why you want to study you may you may find um people helping you okay so you've not really looked around you maybe you have some uncles aunties here and there that can actually help I'm not talking about those who just you know sing songs and then they never show up uh I'm talking about people who really care about your education your life you know your career and and will be able to help it's not even just family you know friends mentors people around not just your family you know there are people around who are willing to help but sometimes they need to see that you yourself are putting in that effort and that is really important to to not okay so the finances is is is a very very uh major thing now your finances will include your tution fee your living expens and these are huge huge sums of money and I don't even want to talk about how the dollar is racing at the moment because it usually also really affects the planning and and a whole lot of things and which you should consider because there are certain times that it's a good time to plan to study other times you have to relax because look it entails a lot so so yeah your tution fee and then living expenses are uh key components of finances that you would need to take care of now when it comes to studying abroad one of the things that a lot of everyone actually everyone wants scholarship okay and scholarships are uh a really good Avenue for students to take advantage to you know level up when it comes to Graduate Studies however you should know that when you want to apply for scholarships you need to put in the work I've seen a lot of people who you know they call you and all they want is oh I I want a scholarship you should you should you you that you want a scholarship you've not even bothered to look at any scholarship opportunities you don't even understand anything about it okay and you just say you want scholarship and it is it's it it's the hus is on you as the student to put in that effort look look for some scholarship Avenues so that when you are speaking to somebody who you know has the expertise they know that you know and and then they know how to guide you through applying for the scholarships because it's not easy to apply for the scholarships and referencing what Mr oswal said it's competitive remember you're in a competition with other people who who want what you want okay so you have to remember all these things it's competitive what will put you what you what you make you stand out of uh you know the many people that are applying this is very important for you to note and then also consider the destination that you want to study there are so many different places and depending on exactly what you're looking for you should be able to uh do your research well and say okay hey I want to study in the UK I think it they have so and so and it's exactly in line with what I'm looking for or Sweden or Denmark has this opportunity that I think will really uh um benefit me and so I'm going out here so you you should really really do your research well before attempting to study Abad yeah now when it comes to application and Visa process you would have to be very very very very careful again once you have done your research then you understand what goes into um um the destination the school and whatnot now you can do the application by yourself sometimes it's it's it's very clear easy to do other times it's not as clear and easy to go through or you're busy and so you would need help and that is where probably um Agents come in the picture now I have I have worked with an agency before where I've had my extensive um experience and it's I would say of course because of the the The Way We Were legitimate you know with um clients the our clients really benefited from using our services even though you can do the application yourself there other people who may not be able to do that and so would entrust a agent to do that and again you should make sure that you are you're you're getting in touch with the right agents because some people have had to pay huge sums of money and then nothing has been done for them so that is why I'm here today um yeah you can always contact me and I can either recommend something good for you and I can assist you myself so you should also remember that visa application processes entails a lot and you need expertise people with the expertise to be able to advise you okay some people can do their own visa application but if you you feel like look I don't I don't have that and I can't do it myself I would want someone with expertise to assist me why not please go ahead and you know get that help because again it gives you that peace of mind so that is why some agents are there but please please please no agents can give you Visa visas are not given to you by agents okay visas are given to you by the consulates right so no agents no no matter what they say they cannot provide you with a Visa right so whatever Services you are paying for it's they assisting you with the application process and not that they are giving the Visa so be very careful of agents who come presenting themselves as though they can give you a Visa you know by whatever they'll say okay bring this document bring this document and it's as though they're going to work the magic no please be very very careful because some agents have put you know even during the application process they will put details in the application that may affect you later in life I've seen this happen too many times where too many times where people have had you know unfortunately they've met some agents who were not good and they put in application and we had to you know try to resolve the whole situation for them so please be very very careful with when it comes to um agents who promise you such huge things doesn't exist it's your applications are uh go to the consulates they are the ones making decisions and nobody can pay anyone to you know over a decision no guys we're are still here um Linda are you there okay so guys like like like we said um we are really been helped by these um interactions and if you have any questions remember to put them in the question and answer parts and I believe that it's going to go a long way so if you have questions please there's a question and answer tab down there click on it and put your questions in there so that it will be addressed so some of you are putting your questions in the comments um we may miss it if you do that so kindly put it into the question and answer part so while we wait on Linda um is can we have the um feedback Mr George or Ruth we do the feedback thing okay um George are you here um can you allow us to share screen okay so Frank hand over the sharing to Georgia okay so whilst we guys so don't leave stay on we're going to take your feedbacks because we're going to have a number of webinar so we need your feedback so that we can craft your the webinar to suit what you need so I believe there's a p code right there so you can scan it and give us has a feedback on what you've experienced so far all right so quickly do this and we'll continue with the session thank [Music] you ask me do I trust [Music] [Music] [Music] if I many never say negative thoughts in my head say beautiful said them well done yeah I see you Messi well done done samuela Bell well done good good good good good Andrew wonderful wonderful wonderful okay so I can say that I can say that everyone has put in their feedback so that we can continue with the session yeah okay no Mark not actually not actually okay they about 121 of them right now but's all right wonderful so Frank take over no no with your sharing and I'm gonna hand over back to Mrs Lind latte traveling abroad just steady beautiful Rah latte I see that you're done to great great great great great great okay ailia Dan wonderful Charles done good good good good so Frank yeah share share the screen for the slide so that Miss Linda can finish the presentation all right Miss Linda handing over to you okay thank you so much don't sorry apologies for the Break um so yeah uh back to our discussion so there are so many benefits of studying a broad and I'm just going to touch on these uh ones because again can't miss Linda hello hello Miss Linda hello can you hear me okay yeah we can hear you so um during the feedback session only two people still can't hear you Linda so if you can hello we can hear you Linda actually okay okay that's fine so I just I just want to prompt you that whil you are were letting Learners give us feedback so after you finish with the session before you take questions kindly n them to give us feedback because uh during the time we ask them to only three people out of 121 Learners on the call have actually given their feedback oh wow thank you so much Mr George for that feedback so um Miss Linda after your session we'll have another session for feedback and guys please don't don't leave without giving feedback it's a free webinar that you join so your feedback is very important to feed us on how to draft what you need okay so please every single person should do their best to give feedback it's very important guys all right over to you Miss Linda okay thank you Pastor Mark um so yeah back to what I was discussing about the benefits um I think it's a no-brainer and um referencing what Mr osward shared again um you should really take up the opportunity to travel when you have the chance um because again your career advancement is linked to your you know um travel why because you are going to be exposed to so much opportunities and you know um when we talk about being exposed to opportunities um um nobody's going to just drop a job on your lab and I think that again we talk about paying the price you need to really put yourself out there if you want to make it the opportunities are there but can you even identify it in the first place you know can you identify it once you're able to identify it then you can you know go go in right there and then um take your chance again your personal development is is going to be improved by studying abroad um and there's a whole lot of things that you learn out there that um you wouldn't learn if you were just here in Ghana or just around you know you you also benefit academically because of course that's the main reason why you went there and when I say benefit academically you're you're exposed to a lot of professors who are very learned you know some people are practicing in the industry already and so they bring to the table the Practical experience that they have and they're going to be you know teaching you all these things so you need to really pick up some of these things as a student when you are studying abroad and then the opportunity to migrate this is this is one of the most important thing to a lot of Africans because of course when you look around you there are not so many um um opportunities down here for you so you're looking at migrating you you can use the um study um study abroad as a a a route to migrate and a lot of people are doing that and you know a lot of people have moved with their families through this you know study abroad route so it's a way that you can use to also migrate that is if you're looking at migrating and then quality of life generally your quality of life is improved because when you you you look around you stud wherever you studying if it's UK US Canada if you're not being inspired by the things around you to live a quality life then I I don't know what else you know you could you could be doing so the whole the whole benefits of staying abroad really also depends on you please we can move to the next slide it really depends on you why because the same you see if you take the same energy if we take the same energy in the same individual in the same country or say in the same Ghana that you're living they could use that same um um energy to to you know uh bring out a lot of opportunities and succeed in their lives why do I say this we we have a certain mindset that does not help us as ghanians and we really really need to change our mindset if we want to make it out there because it it's not just about being timid you know in fact I really enjoyed Mr oswal's session because I draw so much from what he said like I'm referencing again from one of the things he said about the fact that when you're in Ghana or when you're growing up they tell you you know you have to be humble so you don't put your life out there and you're timid you don't talk you know when they'll say all of those things makes us really timid and not you know bring out the best in us we are not saying you should be proud but there's a way to put yourself out there that really situates you for opportunities to also find you because at a point when you have developed yourself and put a lot of value in yourself the opportunities come chasing you but before then you need to put in the put in the work putting that effort do the hard work you know so for instance if youve gone to learn in Germany or any country that's uh the their primary language isn't English you need to be able to learn the language you're a young person why wouldn't you learn the language it gives you a certain leverage you get it so you need to learn the language wherever you find yourself it's if English is into the primary language and then join societies when you go to school um again you have to also be careful because you need to understand the society you're joining but when I say Society usually I mean for instance when you're in the UK are in an institution they have African Union or like African Students Association or different interest areas that you can pick just to uh find Friends Network and then um you can grow in such areas and then by by by joining these communities you actually U make very uh good friends who will be you know impact to your life and your career so these are things that you you would have to pick up you need to change your mindset if you really want to succeed you need to change your mindset and be Pro proactive put yourself out there because much as your your the opportunities are available nobody I tell you nobody is going to give you the job right just like that you need to work for it the next slide please yes and again you see that the the the things that we all talk about are the same taking advantage of internships and then volunteering look when you have graduated from school there's no much to you and when you when anyone looks at your CV there's no reason why they should employ you what skills do you have what are you bringing to the table but if you're able to take take in um um internships seriously or volunteer at different places okay you see that you are rather giving yourself you're creating value for yourself so that when you put it on your CV and they look at it like okay this person has so and so skills that we need them to be part of our organization and then they can now pay you the huge SS of money that you're looking at so don't again don't think just about money money money think about putting value to yourself and then the money will come chasing you that is how it works but it's it's hard and you need to have that in your mind that it's Hardway again uh uh one of the things that we don't like to do is to build relation with our professors I I can tell you that for a lot of a lot of uh uh people who attend universities or whatever they they are just passing through okay they are passing through and that is where a lot of people also feel why because when your lecturer is marking your script they don't know it's just an index number they see or a student number student ID one5 or whatever he he doesn't see a person but imagine that you create you you you practically decide okay I want my lectur to know me so you are very in class you ask questions you answer questions you're very participative don't you think that your professor will even take notice of you if there are any opportunities they would like to you know uh um um um have you you know take advantage of that opportunity so it's very important to make sure that your professors know you again you have to also read the environment you are to understand the professor that you're working with and know how relate with them okay but definitely making sure that you're known in class is a very very key thing and then taking advantage of Trends um when it comes to um um it the trends are they are uncountable there's so many trends at every Point what can you do what problem can you solve what can you take advantage of what trend can you take advantage of you know to to to to solve a problem that will make you relevant because it's all about solving problems making yourself relevant okay and then um just to end the the the whole uh presentation I'd like to mention that look studying abroad is a very very great opportunity that you you do yourself a great job by by pushing to study abroad because it can literally change your life okay you you succeed if you really change your mindset about work and and opportunities you you can it it will it will move you to different heights if you're able to change your mind and again when you have the chance travel travel to I mean as a as as a um an international student travel around your city around you know the the countries that are around travel because traveling really really opens your mind and changes perspective I tell you and then no matter what happens to you don't forget who you are don't forget yourself and then don't forget where where you're coming from you know because sometimes you can be carried away by so many things happening to you that you can forget yourself you can forget where you're coming but these things keep you humble when you remember where you're coming from remember how far you have come so um um um studying abroad really really is a great opportunity that will will Skyrocket you if you're open up yourself if you're proactive you know you're pushing to make things happen for you because things don't just happen you need to actually make things happen for yourself and um I just end with a quote by Aristo that says that we are what we repeatedly do Excellence therefore is not an act but a habit so um this is just to let you know that check your habits because your habits are what will cause you to be excellent so if you're not if you don't have excellent habits then you you are definitely not going to be excellent thank you so so much um for for for having time to join um this this presentation thank you Pastor Mark and at this point if anyone has any questions um they can drop it in beautiful beautiful beautiful presentation and I really enjoyed listening to Mrs latte on her presentation on steuding abroad thank you thank you thank you so Mrs latte if if they have any question I'm going to let them put them in the Q&A segment and I believe that we're going to look at it but guys absolutely and yeah yeah sorry sorry Pastor M just just yeah and in case anyone um is looking for such opportunities to study abroad they can definitely contact you and um of course we work together so once they contact you they can have access to me and please I'm not giving scholarships please take note yes I'm not giving scholarships so if you if you're coming for scholarship maybe not but uh you know you have if you look at your life and you look around you you can actually make things happen for you so that you can travel abroad to steud that's what I'm talking about so yeah thank you so much beautiful beautiful like she said she's not giving out scholarships but if you're interested in studying abroad and you need a guide It's she's a wonderful person to connect with if you want to get in touch with her we put out our social media handles and things we'll put it out after also but currently what I need us to do is take a few minutes on the feedback the link is also in the comment section if you're unable to scan the QR code so kindly take a minute yes we're going to do the questions and answers after we take the feedback do you get it so kindly take a minute and give the feedback because earlier when we did it we had a few people giving the feedback we need the feedback to know the extent of the impact of this webinar so that we can plan better on what to provide you so scan the cural code if you're unable to scan the link is in the comment section make sure every single person over a 100 students uh graduates on this webinar all of you should take a minute and go and answer these things you some of these little little things that you're shooting yourself in the foot so take the time fill out the web the feedback and I believe that your questions will be answered in a few minutes so everyone I'm given um a few minutes um five minutes tops kindly go out and fill out the uh feedback and Mrs Linda will answer the questions in the Q&A all right thank you [Music] j o she oh I'm not perfect came from [Music] Ruthless look my eyes on my mind [Music] put your it's me day hey I'm fighting for my blessings my will be [Music] fly high from my food of [Music] I won't [Music] hey free like a butterfly searching for my pce of mind you me byebye free like a butterfly searching for myace of mind [Music] back was [Music] okay beautiful beautiful um so some of you have been able to feel it and I'm seeing some comments where some people are unable to click it so um I'm going to um speak to uh people and we're going to send you the link in you email also so that if you were unable to um give the feedback you could give the feedback through your email so I'm using a cell phone so I can scan and okay so we so those having challenges because you're using your cell phone we're going to send a broadcast email with the link once more so that you could give feedback on this webinar thank you all so much for joining this webinar and I hope you enjoy this some people have a few questions let me let's touch on these questions before you go how do I switch to a Tex startup from scratch how do I switch to Tech startups from the scratch which fundamentals or basic courses do I do um as is know well here now but for that question I believe that first of all find a problem that you want to solve find something you're are passionate about solving because starting a business or starting doing a startup is not easy there's so many headles ahead that you have to jump over but first of all you need something you are passionate about because when the challenges start coming if you are not passionate about it you run away so first of all find the problem you want to solve and I believe that this Anonymous attendee um has gotten an answer to start from find something you're are passionate about or a problem you want to solve or something that you when you see like it's a problem to you because like oswal was saying earlier he had a problem sometime back when we were copying movies people had it all jumbled up so he developed an app where he will just take only the videos and leave the files so that's a a daily problem that he solved so look out for a daily problem if you're already even in a working some also guys don't be too quick to quit your job you get what I'm saying try as much as possible to balance and do your startup in a certain way until maybe you reach a certain point where you realize that your startup needs your full concentration that you think in your job and when do it do you get what I'm saying all right um the next person I'm a business man schooling at the same time currently I need to raise some funds to invest in a particular can I find a business partner on Linkin will be willing to invest in my business all right so the thing about LinkedIn is about positioning so like we said if you're are putting out your story out there and people are looking at it someone may see the potential in what you're doing and be like oh this is something that is interesting but don't go out there and go raising fans on LinkedIn nobody's going to mind you do you get what I'm saying don't don't go out because when you meet a beggar on the street and the beggar is saying give me money give me money you hardly give the person 100 cities 200 cities just find some change but if you are providing Solutions and someone sees that hey this person is providing a solution it's something I want to pass with they they'll reach out to you and say hey I see the work you're doing I like the work you're doing can we can we partner on on it can we collaborate and also be very careful when entering collaboration possible because there are some legal aspects of it it's also something that as EMP we're looking to do business mentorship because we find a lot of entrepreneurs having challenges and questions that if they had someone to speak to it would have helped or certain webinar like these can actually change the course of it so these are some communities that we are putting together and I believe that it's going to be a wonderful time thank you Muhammad for your question the next person how can we connect with Miss Linda okay so kindly um Frank can you please put up the social media handles so you could connect to EMP and just Um send a DM and say Hey I want to connect with Miss Linda and we'll connect you thank you very much then um who the next one is what does it until what does it until in getting a full scholarship all right so set a DM Frank if you are there kindly um put the um social media Pages up Mr George if you could put down the feedback and put the social media um page PES up and you can connect to EF send a message or even with your Alx fellow just tell them that oh you want to connect with EMP they can connect you easily that's not problem um what does it enter here so Miss Linda when you connect Miss Linda will help you with that um how do I get your F1 Visa all right so like I said the same answer applies to you find a way to connect to EMP and will connect you to miss thank you um please can a distance education graduate travel abroad bro nothing is impossible there are so many opportunities out there it's just that you need to put in the work so if you connect oh Miss Linda you're here right yes please I'm here yes so the person is asking please can a distance education graduate travel abroad to school with their certificate yes so um at every point during the application process it depends on your credentials so what certificate do you have at the moment and then what course are you looking at studing okay so all those things would have to be looked at and then yes definitely you should be able to um um travel to study beautiful the next question is could you please share some websites for scholarship applications could we give a try so you see that's the thing um the the data is over all over there if you go to go and type scholarships a lot of things will come up but if you need someone to guide you from the process and you're very serious on process then yes we can connect you with Miss Linda and she can help you with that yeah but basically we are Ching out information about opportunities all the time on our social media platforms and our webinar and things so just connect and you'll have access to it um next one is please do we get a recording of this meeting yes God willing we are hoping to put this up on YouTube so that whenever you want you can have access to it and enjoy beautiful the next how do you ensure that you don't sound timid does using please and thank you make you sound timid is it wrong to use titles like sir or Madame when you meet a stranger and wants to inquire about something from them do you call colleagues or fellow staff at work by their first names or is it required to call them by their titles like Madame said Mr or miss all right so um this problem here is not necessarily a problem per say one of the things that you can do is read read about it so through mentorship that some of the sessions we have we have people coming in and going to give you some recommend some books one of the books that you can look some of the books are um How You Can Think and Grow Rich um by Napoleon Hill there's also those who are proud by Dill also speaks about um humility um there's also um the Bible and one of the things about um sounding timid and all those things also because sometimes you don't even know what to say but one of the thing that reading does that reading changes you it even changes your um your your facial expression because when you meet someone who is educated and and and I spend time reading and the person is talking about something you can see a certain level of depth in what they are sharing and you can actually feel it but in terms of using please and thank you that it's it's it's it's important to be polite to everybody and it's also basic English language so you can go and find your grammar book the right places to use please and the right places to you thank you basically um is it wrong to use title like s them it really depends because if you you have um some colleagues at work it depends on your relationship with the person you may meet someone who may be the CEO of this and like oh just call me George it's really up to you but if you also take things um for granted because sometime you use these titles to remind you that not to become familiar because familiarity bre contemp so when you have the opportunity to be close to great people some people do forget how they got the access and abuse it so sometimes for your own protection using their titles and things helps you it's actually for your own good you know I was reading somewhere it's like why do we people why do we give belts like the cab belts a tank Mando train like the yellow and all those things and it was explaining that in life there's no exam per se that you have to write to know that you're at this level because when you see someone with a black belt and you yellow belt person you look at this person like hey please I'm not at this person's level so I will not go and pick a fight with this person but in life you don't see people walking around with a belt and all those you just going start picking fights at different weights classes because in boxing and things they have different weight classes that people fight in so these things help you to know where you are so that you can know what is also possible like the opportunities that are ahead of you that you can um take advantage of um yeah so a lot of reading would help you not to sound timid a lot of reading helps yes thank you um okay is it possible to get a resident permit after studying in the US how is he or difficult is it if it's possible as compared to Canada and Miss Lind over to you please okay so Miss Linda is not here so kindly um okay she's here all right so Miss Linda over to to you is it possible to get a resident permit after studying in the US how easy or difficult is it if it's possible ask if it's possible as compared to Canada Miss Linda all right yeah Miss yes so someone was asking is it possible to get resident permits in the US and also if how compared to Canada how easier is it if you can shed some more lights on it um your your line went off a bit but I'm figuring that the person wants to know how easy it is compared to Canada is that a question yes and is it possible to get resident permits in the US after you study oh yes it is possible so you know that when it comes to postgraduate um um visas okay um these are routes that you use to assertain your permanent residence permit right so first of all you need to make sure that you are adhering to the rules of of of being able to get a um a PR okay so because if you for instance you must have a certain level of GPA you are passing your exams all of these things are important to note before uh um before you even apply for the pr you get it so you need to make sure that as a student you're doing what you have to do so in terms of working the working hours you don't you know work beyond the time limit as a student so that when you finish and you're applying with all the things that you have your documents it's easier for you you get it so of course it is possible but of um there eligibility requirements that you need to meet beautiful yeah thank you for that answer also please I want to connect to Mr osw yeah send a DM you can also use LinkedIn and all those things but like I said if you connect to EMP and we're having our programs I think it gives you access to some mentors that otherwise you wouldn't have access to so that's um one way to go about it thank you all so very much for joining this session and before we leave um I want to share something very important with everybody um the Bible says that what shall he profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul yes we've shared a lot of things that can help you better your life but one of the things that I want you to understand is that the first thing that you need to secure is your salvation yes we spoking about traveling abroad we talking about um networking connecting overcoming challenges and all those things you realize that when you watch certain um movies and all those you find that there's a spiritual aspect of everything that people do people are yes paying prices and all those things but yes Jesus is the center of it all so if you are there and you feel far away from God and you like to say a prayer with me kindly close your eyes and repeat this prayer after me say um dear Lord Jesus I know I am a sinner I ask you to wash and cleanse me with your blood please write my name in the book of life thank you Jesus for dying for me in Jesus mighty name we pray amen beautiful thank you thank you all so very much for joining us and I really really enjoyed this session and we're looking forward to your feedback so remember to check your emails um we'll send the link for the feedback for for for you so that you can fill it out and watch out for the next um webinar um thank you so much Miss Ruth for having us Alx we love you so much and we're looking forward to um more interactions please sorry having issues with my neck please a recording will it be possible yes so we're going to put it up on YouTube as soon as possible so um it's going to be on the EMP page so like I said try and connect to the social media handle so that when it's out you would be aware of it so that you can make use of it and refer to it thank you all so very much for joining um thank you all thank you so I'm going to hand over back to um Alx Ruth and the feedback the feedback guys the feedback is very important let's give the feedback and watch out for the next webinar we have some exciting Webers plan we're looking to
