KT Tape Application and Removal Guide

Preparing the Skin

  • Trim Excess Hair: To ensure maximum contact between tape and skin.
  • Clean the Skin: Remove oils, sunscreens, or lotions.
  • Use Rubbing Alcohol: For thorough cleaning.
  • Timing: Apply tape at least one hour before activity.

Applying KT Tape

  • Color Usage: Different colors are used to indicate strip order in instructional videos.
  • Direct Application: Apply directly to skin for best results.
  • Avoid Overlapping: Unless necessary.
  • Handling the Tape:
    • Avoid touching the adhesive side.
    • Use rounded corners to prevent catching on clothing.

Backing Paper Removal

  • Twist and Tear Method: Twist and tear the paper backing at one end or center.

Stretch and Application

  • For Sensitive Skin: Apply lotion or skin-safe oils before removal.
