this video might make you want to quit door Dash in my last video I showed you what I do to avoid having to take garbage door Dash orders and in this video I wanted to take things to the next level and show you how I can fairly easily make $350 a day even on a Tuesday with the right strategy and Market information what's up guys my name is Blake Moore welcome to More driven on this channel I give you my 6 years of gig work experience so hopefully you can avoid some of the mistakes I've made through the years and learn from some of the things I've tested out so you can make as much money as possible so something I've noticed over the past few months is the less that I incorporate door Dash into my daily gig work the more money I end up making and that is why I just wanted to Peak the idea in your mind that after watching this video you might want to quit door Dash so if you remember a lot of my videos over the past year they talked a lot about how bad door Dash was getting and how slow things were getting for me with the oversaturation and just the fact that you had to maintain a 70% acceptance rate to even schedule shifts and things like that and I know this is the case for a lot of people who are door Dash drivers things are just getting worse and worse so I wanted to make this video to show you the money that's possible to make out there if you have the right strategy and aren't married to only using door Dash first I'm going to take you through the Tuesday shift that I did just last week and explain exactly what I'm doing throughout the day then after that I'll go over my Saturday shift numbers to show you that this wasn't just a one-off fluke of a Tuesday and also that with the right strategy you can be super consistent with the type of pay you're seeing every single day so first and foremost I get my butt out of bed and I'm on the road by 6:00 a.m. this is prime time for lift rids and I can also snag some really great instacart batches and Uber Eats orders too because so few people like to wake up that early and here's a bonus tip for you guys Smiths opens at at 6:00 in the morning and if you're there waiting in the parking lot like right when it hits 6:00 a.m. then you're going to get flooded with instacart batches especially if you're in the Platinum or Diamond tier you're going to get first access to the best of the best batches so I'd recommend trying to get up to that so then you get the first selection right when those orders hit when Smiths opens in the morning so the first part of the day should primarily be focused on lift rides Uber Eats and instacart batches I really don't do a lot of uber ride share because like I said I can snag some great Uber Eats orders with it being that early and not many Uber Eats drivers on the road because a lot of the Uber drivers are probably doing ride share so with lift there's normally turbo bonus pay usually around 30 to 40% during those morning hours and so what I do is I like to balance all three have all three going at once and just take the best possible orders that I can whether that's lift rides taking me into a busier area or mix and matching instacart and Uber eat orders at the same time that are picking up from a similar location and dropping off at a similar location you're just going to have to try and get the hang of it for your specific area but that's what I do up until about 9:30 sometimes it's later sometimes it's a little earlier but I like to just go until it stops being really consistent then my next tip I have for you is to avoid 10:00 to 130 at all costs now this might be different in other areas but for me it's just the slowest time of day every single day of the week it doesn't matter what apps I'm running that's just the slowest time and it's just going to lower my hourly pay if I stay out during those hours so I take those hours to take my break eat lunch work out do whatever I need to do then I'm almost always back on the road by 2:00 and that's because that's when Uber and Lyft hit an alltime busy almost every single day there's bonus pay for lift and some of the days there's surge pay for Uber for me so from 2: to 5 I really don't even worry about instacart I'm just focused on doing as much ride share as I possibly can so the only way I'll take an instacart batch during this time is if it's extremely good and that's because I might have a minute or two break between orders of uber and lft and I'm not going to risk taking a decent instacart batch and then getting flooded with more rides so I only take an instacart batch during that time if they're very very good and I know that it's going to lead to a higher hourly pay than if I were to be doing lift or Uber rides consistently throughout the time I'm shopping another bonus tip though there are going to be days where you have a really slow hour during this time maybe even like $15 but if you just stick with your strategy a lot of the times what happens for me is I'll have a really slow hour and then it will be followed by backtack 40 plus Dollar hours during this time so don't get discouraged just stick with your strategy that you've planned out beforehand because after months and months of doing it you're going to know that those big huge hourly pays are coming just around the corner so usually during this time I get really high paying lift rides that look like this I mean $36 for like 28 miles I think is what this order was and that's pretty consistently now there's a couple different strategies you can do you can choose to only take really short rides but I like to just have the guaranteed pay of a really long ride and another bonus tip is you're going to want to know the traffic patterns in your area so I know that at this time it's 5:00 and if I'm heading north towards Salt Lake City there's not going to be much traffic at all but if this ride were reversed and it was 28 Mi going south I know that that's going to take me way longer than it says because there's going to be so much traffic coming out of the city but going into the city the freeway is basically clear and there's no stop Ando traffic at all so I can get the ride done really fast so that's just another thing to watch out for is the traffic patterns because certain times of day you're going to want to avoid certain directions that's just what I found helps me get rides and orders done even quicker now once it hits about five or six o'clock lift and Uber rid share are basically going to die out so then I switch back over to only Uber Heats and I just go back to my cherry picking strategy where I just go to the nearest Smiths because Smiths is my favorite batches to take on instacart and I'll just wait in a parking lot and I primarily focus on instacart batches during this time and also cherry-picking those really high Uber Eats orders that are2 plus dollar per mile I don't even worry about lift I actually just turn them off usually altogether because there's no Bon pay at this time normally and the rides that I'm going to be getting are usually only going to get me to about $18 or $20 an hour and that's not what I'm looking for so from about 5:30 to 8:00 I just primarily focus on instacart and Uber Eats and then once it hits maybe 7:30 8:00 this is when I'll switch lift back on and Uber rid share back on and it's because a lot of flights get in from around 8 to 10:00 p.m. and so that's usually what I do to finish out the night is do airport run runs and also obviously taking the really good instacart batches but only if they're really good because I know I'm going to most likely get a lot of airport runs and those rides tip the best and so it's more worth it for me to wait a couple extra minutes to get one of those airport rides than to take an instacart batch that's just so so and then I usually finish at around 10 or 10:30 when my goal for the day is to hit $350 and that completes the 12h hour period that I can go out using Uber andyt because they cap you out at 12 hour hours so for this Tuesday shift I made $63 from instacart $16.14 from lft and $161 42 from Uber bringing my total for the day $340 56 in 12 hours and that's an hourly rate of $20.38 per hour so what used to be my slowest day of the week which is Tuesday I can still hit almost $350 because of the strategy that I've implemented and because of the experience that I've gained doing this over and over again day after day and also just the things that I'm keeping track of which I'll go over for you guys at the end of this video but if you really put in the work to go over some tactical things and really think about like the traffic flow and what areas are going to be busiest and just start tracking a lot of things I think anyone in most areas can get to somewhere close to this $350 a day and I know it sounds kind of hard and honestly a little bit confusing to gather all this information and figure out all of these best practices in your specific Market but if you want a tool that's going to make it a little bit easier for you then I would recommend downloading the solo app yes they are an affiliate of this channel but I like to just talk about them as much as possible for any new viewers that are watching my channel for the first time and don't know about this app I mean I use them every single day and it's helped me come up with these strategies one of the biggest features is that pay guarantee feature because it shows you what times of day what apps in your specific Market are going to be the busiest and so you can kind of do what I'm talking about for your specific area because you have that knowledge and obviously they also have some other great features like tracking your miles and other things like that but I just like to talk about them because it has helped me formulate this strategy that's helping me make $350 even on Tuesdays so if you'd like to check out one of their subscription plans to get all those great features then you can use the link in the description to download it then you're going to get a free week trial to test out those features see if you like them and you're going to get a $10 bonus so it's there in the description if if you haven't downloaded the app already and want to try it out but it's definitely going to make everything for you more organized and just easier to understand because I know a lot of this stuff can get really confusing but the number one thing I would recommend is to use that while also gaining the experience and actually putting in the hours because you're not going to get this down the first day it's going to take a couple of weeks to figure all this stuff out and to figure out all the Tactical things you're going to need to to hit this type of money now I didn't film the Saturday shift that I was talking about but the weekend strategy that I use is a little bit different different it's actually a little bit easier on the weekend because I like to just run all the apps at the same time from like 2:00 to 3: in the morning that's basically what I do because ride share gets so busy from about midnight to 3:00 in the morning where I just completely shift my day to the back half of the day and I can usually hit this pretty easily I mean I'll take you through my Saturday numbers the screenshots that I'm going to put up some of them are going to say Sunday and that's because I went late into the night till like 3:00 or 4: in the morning but I made $534 3 from instacart I made $139.90 from lft I made $156.20 from Uber bring my total for Saturday to $349 64 in 12 hours which is an hourly rate of $29.4 so you can see it's only about an 80 C difference from my Tuesday shift and that's what I'm talking about when you implement things like this it's going to make being consistent a lot easier I would have never thought that on Tuesday I could make the same hourly pay as a Saturday that was just unheard of with the knowledge that I had a couple of months ago but now implementing this it is so much easier to stay consistent now I wanted to talk about some tactical things that are going to be different for every Market but things you're going to want to watch out for and things you're going to want to track in order to formulate the best strategy for your specific market so the first thing that you're going to want to do is figure out what times of day have massive surge pay and on what days those are so for some reason on Thursdays it's always around 8 8 in the morning and 3:00 in the afternoon there is just massive surge pay in specific spots not even the spots that I would think but I've been tracking this for a couple of weeks now and it's almost every single Thursday these huge massive surge Pace just pop up and I think it's because there's business conferences a lot of the time that go on on Thursdays so businesses hold their conferences of like thousands of people for the company on these days and everyone's getting rides to the conference center you're going to want to figure out where those specific spots are in your area and just track those spots because for me there's like two or three specific spots one is like Cottonwood area if you're in the Utah market then you know where that is or even in like the Daybreak Herman area there's always huge surge pay on Thursdays at 8 and Thursdays at 300 p.m. so figure out what that is in your market and start tracking if you notice a pattern of just these big surge pay hotspots that keep popping up just start tracking just just have like a little notebook or open the notes in your phone and just start tracking it Tuesday at 2 o'clock I noticed there was $15 surge pay and just so on and so forth Just track it and I promise after a couple weeks you're really going to start seeing the patterns then the next thing which is huge is you're going to want to know what concerts are going on and what events are going on throughout the week so that you can plan to really maximize those hours because sometimes if you don't know that something's going on then you're not going to be over in that area and then you're going to see that there's huge bonus pay and you're going to waste time driving over there you might not even catch the bonus pay in time or you might only get one ride instead of being able to get a couple using that bonus pay so make sure you know what events and concerts are going on like just last weekend there was a concert going on I can't remember what it was but it was some country artist and it was at the ufu stadium which holds like 40,000 people I think and so if I hadn't known this then I might not have been over there when the concert got out but because I did I was able to capitalize on massive surge pay I'm talking like $18 to $20 bonus per ride that I was doing I mean check out some of these rides that I was getting $19.50 for 8 minutes and 20 seconds and just 5 miles $215 for 10 minutes only 2 miles I mean just massive surge pay in this area and so look up what concerts what events are going on around your area because it's going to be so important in order to hit numbers like this the next tactical thing is knowing the flight logs now they give you some in the app which you need to make sure you're looking at because it's going to tell you how many passengers are getting in and when the busiest times are at the airport so just make sure you're aware of those so then you can kind of hang around the airport area during those hours and then the last one is for instacart specifically and it's just like a best practice that I figured out when I'm using these three apps at once is to just know what Smiths have the highest flow of orders I like to just use Smiths as kind of my hub for when I don't have a ride or an order so if things aren't consistent then my go-to is just head over to the nearest Smiths that I know is going to be busy Smiths almost always have the best batches and they are the easiest to find the items in so I like to just know in my head or even track it in my phone what Smiths are the busiest at what times a day and then if there's a little bit of a dead time then I just start driving over there because then I can get uberit orders there and great instacart batches so hopefully after watching this video it showed you how much money there actually is out there to make if you aren't just closed-minded on using door Dash only and I know some areas there's not other apps available which is unfortunate but just try and get on as many apps as you possibly can and figure out what strategies are going to work best for you track things test things that's the number one thing I can say because everything I said in this video might not work for your specific Market but these are just some suggestions that I figured out over weeks and weeks and months mon of tracking all of these things so if you enjoyed this video or learned something from it make sure you guys subscribe I have noticed that only about 11% of the people that watch my videos are subscribed so please subscribe if you are enjoying these videos because it just helps me gear my content towards what more people are liking but yeah anyways hopefully you can use some of this stuff and start making more money now before I end this video I want to talk about something that I've been working on for a little bit that I think is going to help you guys a lot and also just help you make more money while also motivating you and making it more fun to be a gig worker and if you're watching to this point of the video I know you're probably going to want to hear this so I don't know if you've heard about the app school but it's a great platform that helps bring communities together and you can do a bunch of cool things and so the community that I'm launching is the more driven community and there are going to be a bunch of crazy fun things to do in this community if you guys want to join so let me just go over a couple of them in this community there's 's going to be a Weekly Newsletter all things gig work that's going to cover door Dash Uber lyt Uber Eats instacart Walmart spark anything that I can find in the news I'm going to consolidate it into one nice easy to read newsletter so that you guys can just stay up toate on what's going on in the gig economy with that you're also going to get an expense tracker this is something that I've had for a little bit if you've been a member of my YouTube channel then you've gotten this but basically this tracker just helps you organize your expenses a little bit better and kind of know how much you should be saving for taxes and things like that so you're going to get access to that and also there's going to be a ton of prizes and fun competitions in this community to help push everyone to make as much money as possible and also just make it more fun so some of these things include a one-on-one door Dash contest against me so in there I'm going to be competing with people just random different days you can sign up and compete against me to try and make more money and if you end up beating me making more money than me then the prize of that is you get all of the money that I made for that day so it's going to help me get to know you guys better and also it'll just be fun to compete with you guys some other prizes that are going to be in this community are a week of work paid so you can take the week off and still get paid whatever your average weekly pay is for that month there's going to be a highest earner award every single month so whoever makes the most money with within the community is going to win whatever the prize is for that month there's going to be a hardest worker award every single month which is whoever put in the most hours online is going to get a really big prize as well because I know that every Market is different so it's not really fair if you're in a bad Market you can't really get the highest earner award but you can get the hardest worker award and then some other things there's going to be cash prizes all the time there's also going to be ways where you can bet against other drivers and that would essentially just be what I talked about like the competition where you're dashing against me but if you want you can bet against other drivers and put up money and compete against each other for that day whoever makes the most money or whoever works the most hours whatever it is you guys decide on then you'll get that little cash prize so also some other things that are going to be in this community is I'm going to be pulling people to test things for some of my future videos from different markets so you'll be able to be featured in some of my videos and also get paid to test things out for me just different tests I want to run whether that's Uber versus door Dash drivers whether that's people accepting every single order versus people only taking $2 per mile orders and different things like that I'll be pulling from this community to have those people in my videos and also giving away some cash to people who participate and things like that and then some future things that I want to do in this community that I don't really have the means for yet but I want to get to depending on how big the community grows is I want to have deactivation Insurance in there where if you just randomly get deactivated for no reason then we can help cover you for maybe a week or two I also want to do this thing called the gig games where it's going to be a huge Tournament of everyone competing against each other and then the winner gets a huge grand prize I don't know maybe $510,000 I want to be able to fly out to different cities and door Dash in your guys' areas and just a bunch of different crazy things so if any of this sounds fun or interesting to you then go ahead click the school link I have for you down below in the description the first 10 people who join the community are going to get in for free so you get all of this stuff access to all these prizes the everything for free for the first 10 people but after that the next 490 people it's going to be $19 a month so what this $19 a month that you're going to be paying is going towards is being a ble to fund all of these fun things that I want to do in this community so it's going to go towards the prizes the bets the everything that I just talked about that's why I'm charging a little bit for it because unfortunately I don't have the means to do all of this for absolutely free but the first 10 people get in for free and then the next 490 up until 500 it's going to be $19 a month then after that as the community grows and grows it's going to get more and more expensive and that's just because I want the prizes and the competitions and everything to continue to go up in value so if you want to get in for free make sure you're one of the first 10 people and then if you don't want to pay more than $19 a month be one of the first 500 but I just thought I would mention that in this video because I think it's going to be a great way to motivate each other and in this community we can talk about our different strategies everyone can comment the different things they're using everyone can comment the different things they're seeing and I just think it's going to add a lot more value than it's going to cost you and if there's any suggestions that you guys have make sure you leave them in the comments because I want this community to just be super motivating super fun super competitive so that everyone who's in it makes way more money than the $19 a month that you're paying and yeah I'll see you guys in the next video
