CRE Controlled Radial Expansion Balloon Dilator and Inflation Device
Overview
The CRE sterile disposable inflation device is a single-use, plastic device used in medical dilation procedures.
It features:
A lock lever design
Pressure gauge
Connecting tube with a male rotating adapter
Optional three-way stopcock for preparation
Pressure Gauge
Capable of measuring pressures from vacuum to full gauge capacity.
Marked in 180 M increments.
Recommended Use
Utilized during dilation procedures to:
Inflate the CRE balloon
Monitor balloon pressure
Deflate the balloon
Operating Instructions
Holding the Device
Can be held like a motorcycle handle.
Unlocking the Piston
Push the lock lever to the left to freely move the piston.
To lock, slide the lever right to the upright position.
Preparing the Device
With the lock lever left, aspirate water/contrast to the 35 CC fill line.
Attach the stopcock if desired.
Lock the piston by pushing the lever right.
Hold device upright and rotate palm grip clockwise to clear air from tubing.
Attaching and Using the Device
Attach tubing to the CRE balloon dilatation catheter.
Apply negative pressure by rotating counterclockwise.
Position the balloon in the stricture.
Inflating the Balloon
With the lock lever engaged, rotate the palm grip clockwise to desired pressure.
Lock lever maintains pressure.
Deflating the Balloon
Gradual deflation: Keep lock lever upright and rotate palm grip counterclockwise to desired pressure.
Rapid deflation: Push lock lever left and pull back plunger.
Summary
The device is designed for controlled and precise inflation and deflation of the CRE balloon, ensuring safety and efficacy in dilation procedures.
