Effective Teaching Materials and Strategies

in this screencast I'm going to tell you about the materials we provide for teachers the most important document is the methodological guidelines or simply the guidelines you can find them inside the lesson the guidelines contain lesson plans and tips on how to conduct lessons and you can know if your lessons are going well or not also for each stage of the lesson there are tasks and summary and the duration of the stage and also you can find the examples of what you can say to kids don't take what's written there as exactly what you need to say it's more as a prompt for you when it's difficult to choose the right words on your own the first time however strive to communicate specifically with your group in a language that you will gradually develop in the group you might have some specific recurring jokes for example it's important to reference them including when explaining new topics as a rule each stage is considered very important so if it's a bonus that will be indicated therefore please do not skip any stage even if you think that it's not important it's better to check with the tutors or methodologists to see if you really can skip it if you don't have enough time it's always best to ask for an additional lesson to go through the steps rather than jumping ahead the next document that you might need is a presentation you can find it inside the lesson - the presentation is supplementary you should be able to conduct a lesson without using the presentation only with the help of the methodological guidelines a whiteboard and showing the tasks on the platform sometimes certain things are easier to visualize by showing them on a prepared slide in this case we use the presentation you can also use the presentation as a set of tips on how best to explain a particular topic but it's much more effective to draw on the board yourself as a to showing a prepared slide our last and third tool is the workbook why do we need a workbook here you can find a workbook its primary use is for working on some topics by doing theoretical tasks unlike a computer where you can try different approaches and get the right answer sometimes just guessing in your workbook you have to think carefully understand what the program does and choose the correct answer a second interesting way to use the workbook is to give two to give it to students who have gone ahead of the others or vice versa those who have a poor understanding of the topic for the former it's a way to learn about some of the upcoming topics for the letter it is a way to go over some tasks again and some concepts they could not figure out the first time thank you for your attention
