- Both types: Mutawatir (multitude narration) and Ahad (few narrations)
- Ijma' (Consensus)
- Agreement of scholars after the Prophet, from this Ummah.
Understanding Sources
- The correct understanding of Kitab and Sunnah is according to the Salaf as-Saleh (pious predecessors).
- Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 100 emphasizes following the early generations (Muhajirin and Ansar).
