DA Packaging Requirements Summary

What's going on hustlers? Welcome back to the channel. Now, in this video, we've got another live coaching session with Dave and he's going to be helping the students on the call going through some DA solicitations in dips and more specifically going through some of the packaging codes as well. So, if you've having any issues going through solicitations and understanding what different things mean and also having any issues with packaging codes and stuff on that end, then this is the video for you. Once everybody gets in here, what I'm going to do, um, I'm gonna wait until like 7:05. Once everybody gets in here, literally all I'm going to do is, um, I'm just going to ask if anybody has an example solicitation they want to go over or an example set of FSE codes or product market they want to go over. And I'm probably just going to go over like two to three different ones today. Um, try to keep this one this one brief. Um, yeah, I have an exam tomorrow, so I got to get to doing some some more studying. So, um, yeah, we'll keep this one 45 minutes at max. Probably be done by like 7:35, 7:40. Um, so yeah, we'll wait three more minutes um for everybody to get in here and then if anybody has any um example solicitations they want the packaging requirements looked over um or FSE codes or something, drop them in the chat. Um now is you guys' opportunity to have me go over the one that you want specifically while also using it as an example to show others. Um, and then we're going to be using the Camp Hillos um, packaging tool. And then possibly we might even get into um, some of the different like packaging that's required, right? We might even get into where to get the the packaging from, um, what websites to use, all that good stuff. So that is what is on the agenda for today. So somebody put one in the chat here. So um, let's roll with it. So, we're just going to look up this solicitation here. I don't know what it's for. I don't know anything about this. The person's name is uh Papa Tango Charlie Sierra Oscar PTCso. Um I'm sorry I don't know your full name. Your Zoom name just um shows up as that. But thank you for volunteering a solicitation. So, let's take a look at it. Okay. So, for some bottle some bottle caps. Interesting. So for some bottle caps. So let's look at this. So we see it's an unrestricted solicitation. EROC meaning electronic procurement. It was issued July 18th. They wanted it to award it by July 29th but that didn't happen. Um no tech docs. Um here's the purchase request number and then the quantity is five. Seeing that as these are bottle caps, I wouldn't be surprised. Oops. Sorry. Or actually that was what I wanted to do. So here's the approved source page, right? So we see that the company's name is Nali Nunk in International Corporation. Um and then the acquisition method suffix code is here. So um anybody who's in uh the DA success bundle, you guys can go and look at um you guys can go and or or I actually have a YouTube video on this day two of the of revealing everything the government told me. So you guys can go watch that video and then get some insight into the different acquisition method suffix codes. Here's the part number. Here's the cage code. So let's pull up the solicitation here and see um what we've got cracking on the agenda. So let's zoom this in. All right. So I'm not going to go through this solicitation in its entirety. The goal of today is just to read through the packaging requirements. So that's what we're going to look for. So, you know, DA troop support um standard rating Delta Oscar Charlie 9 um 20 days at date of delivery. It's FOB destination. So, just keep in mind that you're going to be paying for that. Uh you're going to be paying for the shipping. So, let's scroll down. Okay, so it is a quantity of five each. Um, and then let's just look in the procurement history just to see. I don't even think there is any procurement history. I don't see anything on here. Yeah, it says no history available. Okay, so the government's never bought this before. So interesting. Um, all right. DA packaging requirements for procurement. CDI potentially applies. Removal of government identification from non-accepted supplies. We've already gone over that. Check out the YouTube video that I posted on um um government on I've done two solicitation breakdowns on YouTube or three actually. Um so you guys can check out a YouTube video on that if you guys want that more in depth. But let's get to the packaging requirements. So here we see packaging data. Mill standard 20731 echo. So um milspec packaging. Cool. Quantity unit per package. So KUP 001. So they want one bottle cap per package. And then here we've got preservation method 10, cleaning and drawing one preservative material 00 unit containers 10 OPI is Oscar intermediate container echo 5 intermediate container quantity alpha alpha alpha packaging code U. And then marking shall be in accordance with meal standard 129. We're going to break these down individually. So, we're going to come here to this website, which is free. Um, nobody needs, no, you don't need to pay anything for this. You literally just type in campos. Um, packaging code lookup. So, it's going to be the first thing on Google, right? Um, DLA teaches teaches using this website on like the free materials that they have. Um, so yeah. So um let's copy and paste the information that we have from uh from the solicitation right so we see qup 00001 preservation method is 10 so method of preservation let's put 10 right here um cleaning and drawing method one oops and then let's see preservative material 00 wrapping material 00 boom boom do have a 0 sweet um wrapping material or I'm sorry cushioning and dunage material 00 cushioning and dunage thickness unit intermediate um container is yeah see I don't this I don't like this because this kind of pisses me off And it says unit/intermediate container and then unit container is 10 and then intermediate containers echo5. So we're going to put echo5 here. Um and then packaging code I believe it was what? U yeah packaging code is U. Special material content. Yeah I don't see anything. Um intermediate container quantity. Let's see. Is there anything else? Uh, special m hazardous material, no shelf life. All right, cool. So, this doesn't look anything crazy, but let's get the packaging data and then see what comes up. All right. All right. So, uh, method of preservation is 10. The unpreserved item shall be protected from physical damage and mechanical malfunction. Cushioning materials dunage blocking and bracing shall be applied as required to protect the items in the enclosing media and restrict the movement of the item within the container. The materials selected for all blocking and bracing and the design and application thereof shall be compatible with the item and its bearing load limitations. Materials shall be as clean and dry as practical. Method 10 pack shall pass the applicable inspection requirements of table B1. All right. So, this is it's basically just a very long winded way of saying that um you are at liberty to preserve the material, i.e. package the material in any way that doesn't impose like um an extensive load on the item. Um and then it should you don't want the material sliding around in the box. Sometimes they're chill about that, but with method 10, they are very clear here. Um, where it says the enclosing median restrict the movement of the item within the container. So, you might want to use like some bubble wrap or something, right? So, they don't want it sliding around in the container. Um, like if it's for for instance, right, like let's say um we're selling like these these very soft fuses, like I don't know if anybody's ever sold fuses, but they can be very soft, very malleable, right? We do not want to be packaging these these fuses with like some very thick um like some very very thick packaging paper that sometimes like the the combination of all that packing paper plus like let's say um like uh I can't talk right now. Bubble wrap on top of the fuses if they're not in an intermediate container can actually damage the fuses, right? So you want to be using something very light here. But these are bottle caps so I don't think they're super malleable. So you should be good. Cleaning and drying one any suitable process that's not injurous to the item, right? So um sometimes, very rarely, but sometimes you might have to clean the stuff that you get from from the government and or I'm sorry, from your vendor to send it to the government. And in my experience, the only time I've ever had to do that is with bearings. And that's when they sent us something and it was lubricated, but like the lubrication was just so bad. It was literally leaking out of the package because the vendor, they don't package, you know, to milspec. They just package um, you know, to what whatever requirements they have as a vendor to to get it out to you, right? So any suitable process that's not injurious to the item, right? So if you need to take a paper towel and dry it or something, you can do that. Um, and then here we see anytime you see 00 no requirement or not applicable. And then unit of issue container echo5 AMD D5118 fiber fiber board box. So let's talk about this. Anytime you see Alpha Sierra Tango mic ASM that means that it's commercial. It's commercially um related, right? So it doesn't mean commercial packaging. AM D3951 for the packaging requirement like the overall packaging requirement that's commercial packaging. But this it means it's a commercial fiberboard box. So, this is basically like an Amazon box, but let's just look it up on div or I'm sorry, on Google and then just see what comes up here. Um, just to double check, right? So, again, I said we might touch on it and I guess Google decided that we would touch on it, right? So, you can get your stuff um from Uline, right? And these are literally just cardboard boxes, right? These are um ASM cardboard boxes and they're just different size different size, right? Um so summerated um let's see if we can get like a specific website. So tell us more. This kind of is like a sponsored. So I've actually seen this website. We've never bought anything from them, but I know a couple clients have, right? Um, and these are literally just milspec boxes, right? And they just give you different sizes and stuff like that. Um, is there some extra noise? I'm going to ask everybody to mute themselves, please. Or I'm just going to mute everybody, actually. All right, I think everybody should be muted, right? Um, so yeah, this website's pretty good. They will literally just give you different sizes of the exact specification box, right? Um, so that's that. Uh and then it says packaging U. Items or packages that require package packing for acceptance by the carrier shall be packed in exterior type shipping containers in a manner that will ensure safe transportation at the lowest rate to the point of delivery and shall meet as a minimum the requirements of the following rules and regulation as applicable to the mode of transportation to be utilized. Right? So, basically, um, this just says don't break the law of like whatever, um, packaging or I'm sorry, shipping regulations you're going to follow, right? So, postal regulations, that's your UPS, USPS, um, FedEx, all that stuff, right? Um, if it's going to go, if you have to ship it and it has to go by by air, make sure it doesn't violate any silver air regulations. Um, if it needs to go by freight, make sure it doesn't violate any uniform freight classification rules, American Truckers Association rules. Basically, just don't do anything that would be illegal um or would violate any of the codes of conduct for any of these organizations here, but this one's pretty straightforward. Um, this one was nothing crazy, so we just broke that one down. Um, but let's do like another example, maybe something a little bit more complex. Um, so let's see. Um, I'm sorry if I mispronounced your name, Dakota. She gave us an example here where she where she says um, so we've got a different we've got a bunch of things that we can input here. So check the chat if you want to see that. She says, "Packaging code Q. Um, QUP00001, preservation method one, cleaning and drying method one, preservative material ZZ." Okay, we got a ZZ in the house. Cushing and Dunning Material ZZ. Cushioning and Dunning Thickness Charlie. Unit container Zulu. Zulu. packaging code. Quebec packing level. I don't even see a pack. Yeah, I don't even see a um I'm sorry. I don't even see a packing level on here. Did you copy and paste that? Are we sure it's packing packing level? Um well, let's let's see here because um yeah, I've never seen packing level before. Um okay. So preservative material Zulu Zulu special requirements. These specific instructions are drawings provided. Okay. So anytime you get a Zulu Zulu, it's kind of a pain in the ass because us as firms, we don't always necessarily know what this is going to be upfront. What I mean by that is it's sometimes it'll say in the tech docs, right? It might be that you're looking at something that has tech docs. That could be the reason it'll say in the tech docs um like what the preservative material requirements are, the cushioning material um and then the unit of issue container requirements are, right? Sometimes it'll say it in the tech docs. If it doesn't, where can you go? You can submit a PAR, a postawward request, and then you can actually ask the contracting officer, hey, can you give me more information on this, right? I had a client that did that literally just today. They or they didn't submit the part today, but they got the PAR sent back and then they specified they specified it. Um and then packaging code U says packaging packing sal being accomplished in accordance with table Charlie 22 for the packing level specified. So there is a table of um packaging requirements. Um let me actually see if I can find it for you guys. Um but I see Dakota says it's a simple item but it's being shipped overseas. If I had to guess, like my thought process is if it's going to be shipped overseas, it probably is going to have to be some moisture retardant or moisture wicking um preservative material. The cushioning material is probably going to have to be something plastic based, right? So that way it doesn't get any moisture. And then the unit of issue container and you might need like special bags like it might need to be like heat sealed or something. Typically with overseas stuff, there's three things that you want to that the government wants to avoid. Either moisture, um like sand or debris or some or like excess heat, right? If something's going to really hot area. So those are the three things um that I typically see. Um so that's yeah, that's that packing level B. If I had to guess, that probably is going to be in reference to, and let me stop sharing my screen here because I need to go into my documents um and see if I can pull up and see if I can actually pull up um an example of of uh the different tables. It's like a 60-page PDF that has uh different tables and and stuff. Um, but does anybody have any other um anybody have any other examples that they want me to go over while I'm pulling up this table? Um, but DOA, unfortunately, for whenever you see Zulu Zulu, you're either going to have to call the manufacturer, check the tech docs, or submit a post award request to get clarification from your point of contact on the contract um to get further clarification about that. or sometimes they might just give you the specific instructions in the contract after you win the award. That happens quite a bit as well. Does anybody have any other examples that they want me to go over? Um because if not, then I will I will just pick one and go over one. Um we've got about like another like 10 11 minutes, so I want to pick I want to do like kind of like a complex one. All right. If nobody has anything else, then what I want to do or what I'm going to do is um I'm going to just pick I'm going to just pick a complex one and then towards the end of this um when you guys are asking questions and stuff um I'm going to just pull up the table for you guys if nobody else has anything. So, I'm going to start sharing my screen again and then let's go over something kind of complex here and we're going to go into FSC code lookup and then we're just going to pick a random FSE. I want to pick something that I know is kind of going to be like a pain in the ass. Um, yeah, let's do something that maybe it might even be like hazmat batteries. Um, I'm not going to do batteries just because I've kind of used batteries as an example twice now. Um, yeah, I used them in my last video and then in the last call that we did, I used batteries um twice now. Um, so yeah, let's look at like let's look at like um like a lubricating oil or something or like an insulation insulator or something like that. Yeah, this is Yeah, we're actually going over lubricant right now. So, let's look at lubricant and then see what the government has um listed here for lubricant. I'm sure that this is going to be complic. All right. Okay. This was honestly no. This was not a good example because it's all it's all Zulu Zulu. Yeah, I know. This is all this was all Zulu Zulu, which is kind of a pain in the ass. Um Yeah. One thing I do want to touch on though, whenever you see um packaging and marking mill standard 129, milst standard 129 is literally always just going to be this. Milst standard 129 just has to do with um like the markings that are going to be on your label. So don't freak out about that. That's almost always going to be the same when you generate your label. You can get that from VSSM for free or you can create them um in Milpack. Mailpack is a software you pay one time. You just get to customize your labels um a bit more. But whenever you guys a lot of times you guys ask me questions about 129, it's just the marking requirements. It has nothing to do with the packaging. Pretty much to be 129 compliant, all you need is your NSN. Um at least your cage code, but ideally the cage code of the v the manufacturer as well. Um how many units um are inside the package, right? So you might have to label the individual box and then label the outside of the box as well. If let's say I don't know there's five individual units, right? And then each each five is in individual boxes and then the five individual boxes are one big box. You'll have one label that says one unit each and then on the outside of the big box it'll say five each. So you want to have your part number, your NSN, the date of the contract, the cage code, and then the unit of issue. If you have all of those things, you're going to be milst standard 129 compliant. That's always going to be the case. All right. Um, let's see if we can get something. Oh, this is Caterpillar. Let's see if we can get something that's not Zulu. Zulu. All right. Then maybe I pick something a bit too advanced. That's all going to be Zulu Zulu. We're going to try one more. But if the third one is Zulu Zulu, then um I might go do like rubbers or something that something that has like a shelf life. Um let's see. Electrical electric grease. Let's see. Yeah, it looks like all of these are all going to be Zulu Zulu. So, in an instance like this with grease and lubricants, these things tend to have safety or not tend to, they do have safety data sheets. And whenever something has a safety data sheet, you can get that for free or you can find it on the internet from your um vendor distributor. And the safety data sheet is going to tell you everything that you need to know about the handling and packaging. Right? So I would not uh GJ says, "Are these recorded to study from later?" Yes, these are recorded to study from later. Um, so I I would say not for your first contract to go after these, but after you've got like three, like two or three, you can go after these and then just decode the packaging requirements with a safety data sheet um for anything along the lines of like grease or lubricant or something like that, right? Let's see. Maybe can we get something Let's see. 9340 glass fabricated material. Maybe something fragile. Um because I want to give you guys like something that's not Zulu Zulu but um has some okay observation window. I'm sure that this is going to have some packaging requirements to it. Wow. Okay. All right. Well then I'll we haven't got an example of this. So I'll show you packaging data. QUP00001 will be packaged in accordance with ASM D3951. AMD D3951 is commercial packaging. Whenever you see this, it's commercial packaging, meaning you just have to package it in a way that's not hazardous or injurous to the item. So I'm going to give you guys this um example right here. So, you can literally look up ASM D3951 standard practices. Um, and then it literally is just a PDF and then it tells you like in this PDF it tells you like the requirements. Uh, this is kind of a short one. I want to give you guys the full one. Oh, that's kind of annoying that they're making you guys purchase it. I don't want you guys to have to buy it. Let's see. Command F. ASM. Where is it? Yeah. Per permits standard guidelines. And then here is the website that you can go. So annoying that now this used to be free. Um, let's see. Is it a PDF here? Yes, this is the this is the free version. So literally this PDF will bring it breaks down commercial shipment shipping um in its entirety, right? Um and it gets updated every every year. So um but it basically commercial shipping is anything not hazardous or injurious to the item. But if you want to if you're like you know freaking out and you're like I got to make sure it's perfect. I got to make sure it's perfect. You can come and you can read this free PDF. It's on Gov Tribe. Um, and then it'll break down commercial packaging even further. So, you guys have that. All right. So, that's an example of commercial packaging. Let's see if I can get one though that's not commercial packaging, but also not ZZ. We've been getting all the extremes like either extremely bland or extremely specific. So, um, maybe can we look at what glass? Tubing glass. Let's see. All right. So, we'll check we'll do one more after this one, but um I want to show you guys. So, wrapping material GB and then special marking code 07. So, sometimes you'll have to put a special marking code on your label um like on your mill standard 129 label um because there's an area in Millack or if it's VSSM, VSM will automatically do it for you where you can enter special marking codes. 07 is glass do not drop. So, don't freak out when you see a special marking code. It literally just translates to like um layman's term words like like simple terms, right? Glass do not drop. And then wrapping material is GB. So, let's just take a look at that one um right here. And then I'll do one more. Hopefully, we can get we can get something. Um all right. Cushioning material mill standard 2073 1 Bravo-2C code mill foxtrot 83671 class 3 semi- rigid foam in place fire retardant. So, can you touch on when palletization is needed if your shipment is over 600 lb? Um, and it's exact it's it's or I'm sorry, if your shipment's over 599 pounds. Um, if it's over 599 uh pounds, then you're going to need palletiz pallet pallet I can't talk. Palatization. All right. So, we come here and we see GB basically semi- rigid foam in place fire retardant. Sorry, I didn't mean to search the whole thing, but ba this is uh this needs to be like foam pack. So, if you guys have ever bought something um and then it comes in like the foam pellets that like your kids play with or you played with as a kid. Um that's what this is, but it needs to be fire uh fire retardant. So, let's see if we can find the fire retardant. Uh, oh, sorry. This is just the safety data sheet for the foam in place packaging material. Um, but basically what this means is you need to buy fire retardant foam. Um, so let's look at an example of all hands fire and see what comes up here. Ah, okay. I see what I see what this is. So, fire I'm not familiar with fire retardant foam. So, this is a learning um example for me. But in the commercial world of commercial aviation, we do something where it's it's basically in a b. It usually comes in a bottle, right? Or or it comes in something like this. And then you either spray it or you pour it in the box and then you stick the item in and then it hardens and becomes foam. And then you pour another layer on top of it and then it hardens and then becomes another layer of of foam or you can spray it um with kind of like a fire extinguisher thing. So we do something like this in the commercial world when we're packing aviation parts like when we're sending something to like Brazil or something like that. Um and then this just need this is just a fire retardant version um of that which makes sense um because this is glass. Um medical Dota asked what is medical markings. Um you can actually find the PDF military medical markings PDF. It's on DLA's website. It's I believe it's MMOS1 military marking. Yeah. Medical items, DA troop support uh manage material and then medical marking standard number one C. So this literally this PDF right here gives you um all the different kinds of medical markings that you would need to be in compliance for. It tells you what needs to be on the label. So medical marking doesn't have to do with your packaging, but it has to do with your labeling, right? So, your mill standard 129, which we talked about, um there might be some additional stuff on there to be in compliance with this right here, medical marking standard number one delta. Um, and to find this, all I did was medical items, DA troop support managed material. And then you click that and then MMS, medical marking standard number one D. All right. So, we'll do one more example. Um, I think we've gotten to see some pretty unique stuff, but let's see if we if we can't find one more example. Um, yeah, we're coming up on set. So, we got about like three more minutes. So, let's see. Fiberglass fabric. This seems interesting. All right. I am kind of excited. Um, so we didn't get like one that has all the unique items, but we've got a couple. We've seen a a few. Okay, so Oh, packing level. Bravo. You did copy and paste that. This is literally my first time ever seeing that. Um, you know what I would do if it was me? I would literally just if I needed to get clarification on this packing level B, I would literally just call Mr. Timothy Rhyme Booth right here um if I needed clarification on that. But one thing that I do want to touch on is the shelf life. Type two shelf life special marking code 33. All right, so this needs to be confirmed with the manufacturer. But what is the shelf life of the item? Right. So sometimes from the date that something is manufactured and deemed ready to go, it's it has a shelf life of like 18 months, has a shelf life of three years, 5 years, 10 years, right? So when something has a shelf life, uh we've got to put special marking code 33 on our label, which don't worry if you're using VSM, which is the free label making software, VSM will do it for you automatically. If you're using mailpack, then you can't forget to put special marking code 33 in um in the special marking code box, right? So, for those of you guys that were there for boot camp, you guys saw that. Uh but you need to understand how much shelf life an item has left when you buy it from your vendor, right? Um, and then, oh look, unit container shall be packed in dry ice when shipped and maintained at a temp below 0 degrees Fahrenheit at all time. There must be evidence of dry ice remaining upon arrival at the receiving facility. The rule shall be stored. Okay, so when you talk about special instructions, right, ZZ, this is an example of when the special instructions are just given to you upfront in the solicitation. Sometimes they give it to you on the back end, but these this needs to be shipped in dry ice. They wanted a roll of fiberglass and it needs to be upright and then use of cradle so the roll does not rest on the sides of the box. Special orientation and temperature precaution markings shall be applied. These are the special instructions. Whenever you guys get like ZZ, right, and then it says see special instructions, this is what that's talking about. Sometimes you just might not know until the back end, which is kind of unfortunate because if it costs money, it eats into your profit margin. So, what you can do when you get a reval, which is a request for evaluation, you can ask them when you send your traceability, ask the person reaching out to you, be like, "Hey, by any chance, can you let me know what the special instructions are for this so I can account for that um as I get ready to ship this?" Right? Um, so I think that was a pretty good example of of some versatile stuff. But remember, when you're buying something with a shelf life, you want to be asking your vendor, distributor how long the shelf life or how long of a shelf life the item has has left. If it's going to be made to order, let's say it's a 18 month shelf life, by the time it gets to you, it's still going to have 18 months, so it's fresh. And then if you ship it immediately upon receiving it to DA, you're good. But some instances when something has a shelf life, right, let's say a fiveyear shelf life, DA will be like, "Listen, if this thing doesn't have at least three years, like we don't want it." So, um you guys need to double check that with your with your vendor. So, um today was a nice 36 minute session. It's 7:41. So, you guys know me. I don't like to keep these ones um super long. Um but does anybody have any questions, comments, concerns for me um before I log off? And per usual, yeah, this was recorded, so it's going to be in the classroom section um tomorrow. And then the last video that I posted, the most recent YouTube video I posted, um, the four best forgotten items to sell to DA, right? The government buys all kinds of stuff. Um, oh, wow. The government buys all kinds of stuff and um, some of the stuff people forget about. So, I made a YouTube video about it um on where you can find that stuff and it's all commercial off-the-shelf stuff, stuff that you can find on the internet that you don't need to get a quote for, right? So, go check that out. Um, please like the video. The likes are doing well on that video. We're at like a hundred likes already, which is good. The YouTube algorithm likes that, so I appreciate that. Um, and the channel's growing well. Gained like 40 follow subscribers in like one day. So, like pretty happy about that. That's a pretty nice pretty nice rate. Um, so yeah. Um, if anybody if nobody has any questions for me, then that's all for today. Um but yeah, um congratulations to Rudy. Congratulations to Courtney. Um they won their first contract. Um Rudy stuck in there. His account was locked for a while, but he just kept going and he had a great attitude the whole time. Like the the thing about Rudy, man, he didn't get down, not one time. And he and and the thing that I also say is he put in all the work before his account got got locked and then it got unlocked, which is good. But the work that he did before it got locked was what led to him getting an award. So, super happy about that because he was diligent and um he didn't cut any corners. And then Miss Courtney Jackson um even though sometimes she texts me at like 10 p.m. on a Saturday um she won her first contract in under 30 days. So, um good for her. And sometimes that's what it takes, guys. Um is working on Saturday nights, right? Um you can get ahead by you can get a ahead of a lot of people by working on the weekends. So, um, big congratulations to, um, yeah, both of them. Um, if nobody has any questions for me, I'll hang around for like another like two minutes. Um, but yeah, other than that, that's all for today. So, I hope um I hope today's session was good. You guys got to see some like unique stuff. You guys got to find where um where you can find the commercial packaging PDFs and the military marking standard PDFs um and then some other packaging PDFs. So, I hope that was um valuable for you guys breaking down and then you guys got to see how to use the Camp Helidos website. So, I hope that was some good insight um for you guys. Thank you guys for tuning in. We had a nice group today. We had a nice group. We had 28 people. That's the biggest um item. That's the biggest group we've had. GJ Fraser says, "How do you find items that can be bought online?" Please just watch the video that I I uh please watch the video that I just posted on YouTube. I literally talk about that and I show you guys where to get them from. Um so yeah, go check that out. And then I show you guys the FSE codes, too. It's not like I just showed like the solicitation, right? So you guys can go take those FSE codes and run with it. Be free. Be wild. Um take those FSE codes, look them up, use the I like to call them cousins, the related FSE codes. That's um similar FSE codes to the ones that I showed, right? The cousins or the related ones that are only off by a digit or two. Typically, FSE codes that are related will share the same characteristics. And in this instance, the characteristics that we want to mimic in our product markets are commercial off-the-shelf items that can be found online, right? So, go check that video out. Um I gave you four different sets of items um that you can find on the internet, right? Hey, Dad, I have a question. a commercial item. Um, a commercial item is something that can be found commercially like on the internet from like Amazon or Walmart or something like that. Um, and then or how is it labeled? I'm sorry. The second part of your question you might have to like rewrite and just rephrase it a little bit differently. Sorry, I've been in class all day so my brain is fried. Kenya says, "Can we ship directly to the government instead of receiving to them and then sending?" No. That is part of the reason why the government um even has DA like why we can even do business with them, right? Because what would be their incentive to even do business with us, right? At that point, it's like you're just going to have Amazon ship it and then it's like what what reason is there for Kenya to exist in the government marketplace? Part of the reason that they pay you the big bucks um is because you're willing to do the packaging and you're willing to do the the red tape, right? The reason why I think this business's market cap is just so much higher than Amazon FBA's is because of, you know, the stuff that you have to do for the packaging and the paperwork and the solicitations that you have to read. So, um, unfortunately, there's not a way to ship directly to the government. Do you have any suggestions for suppliers for Pelican cases? everyone I contacted gave me such high quotes so as to effectively render my opportunity moot. I'm not going to lie, that market now might be saturated just because that's one of my most like popular videos. Um, and like a couple thou like 2,000 people have watched it now. Um, and I posted it a couple months ago, right? So out of 2,000 people, if even only 1% of people took it seriously, that's like 20 people that are probably aggressively pursuing it. So, it might be saturated, so you might want to pivot into a different marketplace. Um, yeah, at the time that I made the video, it was out there. Um, but you might want to check out my most recent video on, you know, four different other sets of items and and the FSE codes maybe. Um, but my response would just be, um, even if you get a quote, I don't care if you don't think it's competitive. like you need to submit it because obviously these solicitations are sitting here because the government hasn't bid on them or hasn't awarded them, right? So even if you you could be in a situation, right, where it's like that scene in the office where everybody's has like finger guns, right? And it's like Dwight um the guy who's dating Pam and then Steve Carell and they're all just standing there with the finger guns and nobody does anything, right? You could be in a situation where everybody that's getting quotes from Pelican cases is like, "Oh, these quotes suck." And then I'm not submitting anything. And then nobody's submitting anything because they're like, "Oh, it's all super saturated and competitive." And then maybe you end up submitting and then you're the one person out of the 20 people, the 1% of the 2,000 people that watch the video that's taking it seriously that actually submits something, right? So, it's not your it's not your place to decide whether or not you think pricing is valid or you think um you know the government's going to accept it. I can't tell you how many times I've submitted something and been like, "Yep, that's not competitive pricing." And won it anyways. So, um yeah, that's my feedback um as to that. So, um does anybody have anything else? Um, and then I'm gonna post a video tomorrow about the five fastest kinds of contracts to win. So, please check that out. Please, please, please like the video. Liking and commenting just helps so much. Please like and comment on the videos. Please, please, if we can get to 100 likes per video, that would be great because on average, I'm getting like between 400 to 700 views per video. So, that's literally less than 25% of you guys. If you just click the thumbs up button, it takes a second of your time. Um it really helps. It really helps the channel. So be on the lookout for that. I'm dropping a video about the five fastest kinds of contracts to win um with DA tomorrow. So um anybody have any other questions, comments, concerns for me?
