Advanced Forehand Footwork and Biomechanics

how would you like to have that confidence of being able to step out on the court and know with that certainty what are the exact aspects of your forehand that you need to focus on and be empowered to develop them at the fastest possible rate into your unconscious muscle memory in this video we're going to be breaking down my most advanced footwork and biomechanics forehand models that I've learned and studied along the best coaches in the world to really Empower you with the ability of seeing how I was able to improve my forehand the methods that I use to Think Through forehand and Technical development and ultimately allowed me to take my forehand from this to this in literally just a matter of 30 minutes we're going to break down first The Spar footwork model which is going to give you the secrets and allow you to learn how to the best players in the world move what's the way of thinking about movement in a completely new way that's going to empower you to develop world class footwork and second what are the five stages that every single Pro executes on every single forehand why do they execute those and how can you use that framework to determine the parts of your stroke to improve and then how to improve it so with that let's go ahead and dive right into the first section of this video where we're going to be breaking down my own technique and I'm going to empower you with the same mindset that I used to transform and develop my game to my goal a world class level let's Dive In first section so step one to develop into a worldclass player is we need to know what are you actually doing versus what of the best players in the world doing so breaking down my footage from hitting the other night I was able to identify three basic aspects that I need to improve from a footwork to a whole body to a hitting arm biomechanics breakdown step number one is you'll see right when my opponent was making contact I failed to successfully land my split step right on time what every single top player in the world is going to do is right before their opponent makes contact they're going to land a nice elegant fluid split step where after they hit they will cover back in a position and land their split step to break down this into Ultra comprehensive detail I've created The Spar footwork framework where what you'll see is that every Pro is going to split they're then going to position themselves to the ball they're then going to accelerate and then after they accelerate they're then going to recover now if we take this framework and then subsequently break it down alongside my five stage 4 framework will then be able to assess the best players in the world are going to split as they position they'll simultaneously execute their unit turn they'll simultaneously execute their back swing then they'll accelerate which coincides directly with both models after they make contact and follow through then they're going to execute a recovery to the optimal Court location so the first aspect that I need to improve in that entire model is I've got to split on time the reason why it's so vital and crucial for any player at any level to split right on time is it's going to allow you to immediately react to the ball so that's the first thing I noticed I need to improve the second thing is notice how I position myself into the ball I load into a closed stance which is acceptable because the ball I'm trying to take early but notice how as I then execute my back swing phase you'll see one key differentiator and what every single top player in the world is going to achieve is a very specific back swing biome mechan checkpoint that I have mapped out in my exhaustive research which is notice if we look at any top player in the world you'll see when they finish their back swing their hitting arm is going to be in line approximately with their shoulders this is going to empower them and by you also developing it allowed Empower you to generate huge effortless levels of force and coming from a player who was always so tight so weak so frustrated to then just learning this basic checkpoint and how to do it which if you want even more comprehensive detail I would recommend you just click the link in the description to learn about the forehand transformation system that you can use to develop every single one of these phases in comprehensive detail but just by understanding for myself this one basic checkpoint it allowed me to start developing so much more fluidity and effortless power so that's the second thing is you'll notice that when I was setting up on this shot you'll see that my arm was actually about 30° onto the hitting side of my body versus what the pros are going to do is they're going to have their arm back so that's the second checkpoint that I identified is essentially what I need to do is when I complete my back swing phase I need to really focus on abducting my arm to be rather than here I need to get that in a more or less straight line with my shoulders now this is going to unlock two massive benefits benefit number one if my arm is further back that's going to give me a larger Runway to generate Force but the second aspect that most players never realize in fact most coaches aren't aware of is the fact that when you accelerate notice how if we look at from a top angle you'll see that as the pros accelerate it's actually going to create a semi circle Arc path so the arm of acceleration going forward creates an arc path now if my arm is positioned in front of my body The Arc path will not be as away from my body but rather it'll just be forward so my flip is therefore less versus if I have my arm position in line with my shoulders notice how my racket is going to be flipping so much deeper so if we look at a top player you'll see their racket flips to like here versus in my video my racket's only flipping to about there and that's predominantly just because I needed to put my arm back a little bit further so that goes into the back swing phase the third and final thing that I noticed that I need to improve is as I'm accelerating what you'll see is that I do a pretty good job getting my body to transfer forward but you'll notice that as I'm accelerating making contact and then following through you'll see that my body actually leans somewhat up and I'm actually going back which doesn't allow me to generate a lot of force but it's more of a weaker shot so the specific Improvement that I want to focus on is as I'm shifting and accelerating I want to really emphasize shifting my weight forward and making contact with my truck in a more flexed position this is going to give me so much more forward force and allow me to generate that ability of just crushing my shot with so much easy Force just like that so those are the three aspects that I personally now know that I need to work on and just by following The Spar model with the embedded five-stage 4and framework I'm now feeling so much like enthusiasm with my game because now every time I step on the court I know got it I need to split on time I need to position my back swing about 20° further abducted to be in a straight line with my shoulders and when I accelerate especially on triples I need to focus on getting my trunk to be positioned more forward and now because I now have Clarity over the ambition of what world class technique is I now feel that I have a high level of expectation to achieve it which is a scientifically proven process of how to give yourself motivation which is that ambition time expectation equals motiv so because I have all of that and I've seen it with so many of my students as well when you learn like oh this is exactly what I need to do here's exactly what's broken down of the difference between me and the best players in the world and here's how I'm going to develop it now when I step on the court it's so much more fun I feel so much more confident I feel so much more proud of myself because I know that I'm growing into my highest levels of technical potential now if you like this level of detail and you actually want me to be able to personally review your stroke after you click the link in this description and you're completing your checkout for the forehand transformation system you'll have an opportunity to then upgrade into our exclusive membership that now has had over 2,000 members successfully go through where you're going to be able to get my one-on-one analysis so I'd recommend you click the link in the description before this expires I can only work with so many people one-onone but i' highly encourage you to click that right now so now that we've covered exactly what I need to personally be working on now let's dive in and close with the specific step-by-step drills that I'm going to use right now to start ingraining all of these world class checkpoints into my unconscious muscle memory so me and for you as well can be that player at your club that is playing with world class levels of technique and also it's just so much more fun so let's dive into those drills right now so now armed with that comprehensive road map let's dive into drill number one where of The Spar footwork model and the five-stage 4and framework I'm going to now dive into my split so the key technical aspects I want to focus on is I'm going to be imagining myself in a rally and the reason why that's so important is because have you ever been like playing really good in practice or against the ball machine or doing Shadows but then you go out to play and it's like oh my gosh I'm awful compared to how I was just doing in my shadow s well that's because often times we're not pairing the associated pattern of the mind with the actual optimal bi mechanics here's what I mean if you're doing the right technique but you're in your house or you're playing as ball machine psychologically that's a different state than actually playing against an opponent which is when it really matters but if you practice with the visualization of I'm actually playing against someone I can see them on the other side of the court I'm imagining the ball coming in that's putting my mind in the exact place of where I actually want to execute these technical improvements so basically number one is as I'm working on my split step I'm imagining my opponent right when they're making contact and I'm going to be focusing okay splitting right when they make contact and I'm just going to be doing nice fluid Shadows splitting right when they're making contact the technique of the split is you want to have the feet wider than shoulder width you want to be on the balls of your feet and you want to have this lordotic technically or inward curvature of the lumbar region of the spine which is going to give you that chest being positioned up even though you're bending and it's going to give you the lower back stabilization as well as give you access to the bigger muscles of that glute and of the muscles of the spine like that so you're going to be focusing on splitting just like that so I'm going to be visualizing that splitting recovering and splitting after I'm going to do that I'm now going to implement the second technical aspect which is my new and improved back swing so I'm going to focus on Shadows what I'm going to do I'm going to imagine my opponent's making contact I'm going to split I'm going to step in and I'm going to finish with my back swing and I'm going to validate using visual feedback rather than my arm being here which it was in the video do I have my arm in a straight line with my shoulders yes I do let's execute that again I'm imagining it just like it was in the rally split setting up executing my back swing let's go so I'm actually doing a world class back swing now yes so I'm excited so it's like wow I'm seeing myself improve I'm using visual feedback in the foreign transation system which you can click right now to get access to there's actually even way more complex detailed drills where you'll actually be empowered to use video analysis as well it's a game changer and I would highly recommend I'd be so grateful for you to sign up but now in this third and final drill what I'm going to focus on doing is now visualizing my opponent making contact I'm visualizing boom I'm splitting right on time just like the best players in the world I'm stepping into the ball I'm completing my perfect back swing now I'm gonna focus on rather than pivoting and leaning back I'm gonna focus on shifting my weight forward creating that beautiful flip and finishing with my body in a more open stance from that position I'll then be able to easily recover and split so stepping in back swing pivot recover back and split stepping in back swing acceleration and I'm just visualizing every single time I'm playing against that player I'm competing at a world class level I'm really enjoying myself and I'm feeling myself truly improve now I'm going to review my analysis if I see I'm doing everything correctly let's go on to that final drill now I'm going to feed myself balls and execute everything I just felt splitting on time perfect back swing perfect acceleration let's go I'm getting a good cardio workout as well going to time my split set up feed set accelerate through perfect recover back feeling that back swing wow it already feels so much easier with that back swing checkpoint I'm feeling the flip I'm feeling acceleration last one really going to go for it just like that beautiful all right world class athlete I hope you absolutely love this video I hope you're feeling so clear and so inspired that oh wow becoming a worldclass player is really just about breaking things down using a framework using a model in piece by piece step by step developing every single aspect with trust faith belief and confidence it's my blessing and honor to be your coach in this video i' would highly encourage you again click that button in the description get yourself signed up for the foreign transformation system we're going to be able to go even deeper together you've watched this video to the end I know you've got that world class mindset of perseverance I want to congratulate you I'll see you in the next video let's get a world class athlete
