hi everybody Welcome hello hello good to see you all right good morning or afternoon wherever you are who wants to start us off with a win or two okay I have one I don't know if my M yeah hi oops now I can't hear you it's so weird because it starts all fine yeah he's worked so I don't know what's going on I hope have some okay um so I have been driving my husband because he had Rotator c surgery and that's not like our favorite thing for either one of us that I drive home and um I was just noticing I've noticed this slightly that something I do is I I protect myself I fix the problem by deciding in the future how I'm going to not ever be in this situation again and um so realizing that I was doing that and being it's okay to just feel how I'm feeling and it's it's okay to just be driving and not loving it and him not loving me driving and it wasn't terrible but just that I didn't have to fix it you know I could just be so and then also um yesterday read Psalm 42 and it just stuck out to me as such a great um just a great picture of what we're doing with um there's there's kind of past visualizations and future visualizations and re you know taking every thought captive for obedience so I just that Psalm 42 really spoke to me yesterday awesome awesome love it that's really good thanks J yeah thank you any others I for sure thought Christy was going to share a win today put Christy on the spot no pressure such a lovely picture this morning Sor what oh my sourdough bread yes yes that is my win come on to you have it huh you have it nearby I thought you was gonna pick up the bread and show it I was sure if the dog was walking by or the bread was right there no I already cut it I already cut it is it good it's really good yeah thanks so thanks for chrisa for the starter the cool thing is is that um I typically in the past have a hard time starting new things because that Loop of overwhelm for me is so it's just been what I've been working on and this I started a lot of new stuff this week all at the same time and some days in the same day while watching kids and it it's just definitely wins so thanks yeah um sorry to put you on the spot but no you're you're good I thought the bread was so good no I'm hungry me too I know good stuff anybody else hey Shannon he Shannon how you doing hey there I'm good how are y'all doing good can you hear me yeah well I my win I've had a lot but this is the one that I'm going to share today I'm just really continuing to work on the lies that I have believed either lies that have been spoken over me or and lies that I've noticed that I've caught that I have spoken and agreed with you know for me for myself and um my win is I've noticed the shift is getting easier um believing the truth as I said and just uh process everything out with God and uh it's not as hard I mean at first it it was like just plowing through gravel plowing through rocks you know just stop those thoughts and the loops and all the negativity and it's getting easier to believe the truth and I just feel that shift and it's taken a lot it's taken a lot of work a lot of repetition just stopping myself no no no no we're not going to think like that we're going to line up with the word of God and yeah um just believe God's truth and what he says about me and in in different circumstances or situations I'm just it's just I don't know I'm just seeing a good shift wow aw it's a huge good yeah yeah great thank you so much that's really good wonderful has one in the yeah the great faith thank you for sharing wonderful awesome any other wins can unmute or putting them in the chat hello I think I have I just thought of uh some wins I could share awesome um through the the lies and Truth exercise um you know I think I I shared probably a couple of weeks ago that I um feel like I made peace with um my young adult son not having to talk to him about or anything I just really um heard the things that I was telling myself in my mind and I um you know really thought about what the truth was that was going on and um I feel like I can move forward uh with the relationship as it is and I'm in a better place which is really wonderful uh and then the other thing I I couldn't really move forward uh for a little bit with um my my husband was getting on my nerves pretty it's just that the more I I realize what's going on in my mind the more I hear what's going on in my mind the more I'm you know present with it I hear like oh these negative things and some of them so with the lies and truth I was I was countering some of that and that was good uh but it wasn't enough because my I don't know I there was a part of me that was like you know you just really got to say something because some of these things even though they're little things um it's just when they're repeatedly done uh can bring you down so I thought you know I hate confrontation like a lot of us and so I thought you know some of these things I just really need to address and we had um we had a couple of conversations um and and it's a start and um it went well and so that's that's my win that's aesome great so good yeah it's really good yeah and Amy did you notice when you had the conversations with your husband even though they were difficult did you feel encouraged after like okay I did it I made it through we can oftentimes have a lot of fear about any kind of conflict or hard conversation but I find that every time I do go through one I feel more encouraged that I can do it and I can have hard conversations in love Yeah and um what I focused on when I talked to him was um he just bringing up the fact that he might not realize it but um I uh uh there's been a lot of little things that that we've talked about recently kind of leading up to this so he wasn't like you know um totally caught off guard but um I'm like you know we we need to work on our communication skills and so that's where that's where we're going we're just kind of like um I read a book and you know so it's it's like a start and I'm really feeling um happy optimistic and I'm already feeling more connected to them um but it started with the lies and the truth you know and and um recognizing what was going on in my mind and um you know I'm also I I am also working on that as far as you know not taking things personally and and all that so I'm still I'm you know that's really definitely helpful um but uh also you know uh communicating with him and and that's a start and it's like making me feel much much more optimistic and comfortable moving forward that's great had to had to confront had to like you know talk about things I didn't want to talk about but yeah for sure those are great wins thanks Amy so good happy for you all right any other wins any others just making sure if not I'll pray no other wins feel free to put him in the chat okay let's go ahead and pray and we will jump in okay father God we just thank you for this time together we thank you for this meeting we thank you for this discussion we thank you for technology that we can all be together father and just focus on Truth focus on what your word says father and just keep redirecting over to looking at your promises and what you say about us and our situation and just so grateful for these WIS father we thank you as we continue to lean into the strength that you give us in your direction to help us once again keep redirecting over to what you say about us and our situations and stop looking at the lies of the enemy so we just thank you for that father for Truth for boldness to have hard conversations and we just thank you for being our strength and being our comfort in those times thank you for guiding this meeting father as we talk about visualization and what your word says and father we thank you for the images that you are putting in our minds father of what you have for us ahead not what's going on right now not the lies of the enemy not what we might be feeling but what you have ahead father whether it's you know Health in our bodies relationships that are mended and flourishing um bank accounts that are a blessing to others and to ourselves so we just thank you for your promises and father we thank you for healing that is happening right now as we speak we thank you for what your son did for us on the cross and at the whipping post we thank you that healthy neural pathways are being formed and getting stronger stronger father in our brains right now and that fear filled anxiety filled symptom filled neural pathways are dying off breaking right now at the root father and leaving so we just thank you for healthy bodies we thank you Father for sound Minds to focus on our discussion our meeting time I rebuke any Spirits right now of anxiety anything from the enemy trying to to come at us and rebuke him off of our meeting father I just thank you that this meeting is just going to be a blessed time together a fellowship and just that we can focus on your love that you have for us we love you we praise you we pray all these things in your son's mighty name amen okay so as I said we are going to talk about visualization today so first let's talk about what's imagination and imagination imagination refers to the mind's ability to form mental images Sensations and Concepts that are not present in our direct surroundings it involves the power to create and visualize ideas and scenarios or possibilities that may not currently exist or be directly experienced an imagination is a key aspect of our mind's function and it plays a crucial role in our life experiences visualization enables us to envision our ideal life through the power or of our mind we can access an alternate life that we want and that God desires for us let's talk about the power of using our imagination our minds think and see in pictures we visualize all throughout our day without even realizing that we're seeing our upcoming future in our mind before it happens when we first get out of bed in the morning we visualize the smell and taste of our first sip of coffee when we give directions on the street to someone who's lost in our minds we see the turns and the street signs as we verbalize the root to the person when we're driving home from work maybe we're visualizing what's in the refrigeration refrigerator what can I make for dinner and what we visualize and focus on impacts our physiology when we spend time visualizing we're changing and accentuating neural pathways Dr Daniel seagull a clinical professor of Psychiatry at the UCLA school of medicine is noted for saying where attention goes neural firing flows and neural connection grows so simply put what we spend time thinking about and visualizing in our mind creates our experiences here are two compelling stories that encapsulate the immense power of using our mind to restore health and create the well-being that we desire years ago a news show produced a story about a man who used the power of visualization to eradicate a malignant brain tumor the man went Outdoors each day breathed in fresh air stood with his feet planted on the ground and closed his eyes to visualize he imagined his brain tumor was a carrot patch and that a rabbit was eating all of the carrots up and after doing this for a period of time the tumor completely disappeared proven by a clear brain scan in the Second Story a woman diagnosed with stage four endometriosis who was suffering immense pain and was told that the disease was incurable defied medical wisdom and took her health and her own hands through visualization so over a period of five months she visualized daily creating mental imagery that was healing all of the affected pain-filled organs of the supposedly incurable disease and the disease was demolished through the power of her visualizations and soon after she was blessed to become pregnant and give birth to a healthy baby such power powerful examples let's talk about our mindset which determines our health we talked about in previous teachings that what we think meditate on and see in our mind creates our physical experience because the brain thinks in images and every thought creates a chemical reaction in the body every image in our mind produces either positive dose chemicals that activate the parasympathetic nervous system in a healing state or negative can chemicals that activate the fight flight free state so we're literally creating the state of our health by what we're choosing to think about and we have to be deliberate about filtering the images we see in our mind through the filter of God's word and what he desires for us some Neuroscience experts and doctors believe that every single disease begins in the Mind through negative experiences and negative thoughts and fear and anxiety Etc this is a powerful perspective to consider we also know the human mind favors a negativity bias over focusing on positive thoughts or events so it's critical that we're aware of this natural tendency of the brain brain in order to recognize it and redirect it when necessary and being aware of the brain's inclination towards negativity can prepare us and equip us to replace those negative thoughts and images with ones we desire and that are favorable to us so let's look at what the word says about imagination the King James version of the Bible mentions the word imagination 29 times arms so surely it's a significant top topic worthy of our Focus let's look at some key verses that discuss imagination and explore the meanings of the word as it's used in the Bible Hebrews 11:3 says by faith we understand that the Universe was created by the word of God so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible God created the universe with his word first it had to be conceived in his imagination in Genesis 1 God spoke the world into existence he said let there be light Waters vegitation living creatures Etc and the mental images he first saw in his mind were formed into existence through his words and then two verses prior to this in Hebrews 11 one we read that faith is the substance of things hoped for the conviction of Things Not Seen so through faith we use our imagination to see the promises of God and create god- centered healthy neural Pathways we must use our spiritual eyes to see God's promises transpiring in our lives right see ourselves living healthy energetic lives doing everything we want to see our bank accounts full and blessed blessed to be a blessing see damaged relationships restored Proverbs 29:18 speaks strongly to the power of imagination it says where there's no vision people perish and the word vision from the Hebrew word shazah is translated as a mental sight the word perish from the Hebrew word toan is translated as exterminate destroy put to death cause to stray so when we don't use our mind to visualize what God wants and sees for us it leads to destruction and then let's look at Isaiah 263 it says you keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you in this verse the Hebrew word for mind yeser means imagination intellectual framework and image the word stay which is somach in Hebrew is translated AS stand set oneself and sustain so the verse advises us that keeping our mind our thoughts and what we see for ourselves in our lives focused on God and his word word brings us God's perfect peace what a promise and then one last verse we'll look at although there's so many more we could study out is 2 Corinthians 10:5 we destroy arguments in every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God and take every thought Optive to obey Christ so by filtering our thoughts and the images we allow to fill our mind bre God's word we stay focused on God's truth for us in our lives however if we let our imaginations run rampant with every lie that the enemy throws at us then we buy into his trap to steal kill and destroy our health and other blessings that God desires for us and Christine is going to finish the teaching thank you Stacy let's look at seeing ourselves how God sees us understanding what God sees for for us and desires for us is Paramount in filling our mind with the images that will produce Health healing and abundance Jeremiah 2911 says for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans for welfare and not for evil to give you a future and hope and that is God's desire for us goodness a future and hope and the word welfare means Prosperity health completeness safety and soundness and we've discussed in a section on the truth about God's character the many loving ways that God thinks of us sees us and the blessings he desires for us he designed our minds to meditate on his word his promises and His blessings and he tells us that doing so will produce the Abundant Blessings that he has for us and even more than we can possibly conceive and that's an Ephesians 3:20 God sees us as precious in His Eyes fearfully and wonderfully made as New Creations and as his children he gave us the Holy Spirit to live inside of us when we become born again and with the holy spirit's presence in us we also have everything that God personifies abundant energy and health joy peace A sound mind love righteousness and so much more and aligning the way we see ourselves with how God sees us is key to receiving his bless blessings how can we walk in health and abundance if we only see ourselves as sick lacking in finances struggling in our relationships and deficient in other life areas now let's look at visualizations we're going to look at past and future visualizations so there are obviously many ways to visualize and there is no incorrect way to visualize if it helps we can do visualizations based on past positive experience or create visualizations based on the future that we desire for ourselves and while all visualization is beneficial first person visualization is the most powerful seeing ourselves as we desire to be feel and live with in our visualizations positively impacts healthy neural networks that we are building visualizing and mentally recreating past experiences that brought us joy can be incredibly helpful if it's easy to access some of those events in our mind another way we can visualize the favorable circumstances from our past is to remember the multitude of ways that God has been faithful and blessed us visualizing and meditating on God's past faithfulness helps create those good dose chemicals and gives us hope and encouragement that God is moving right now through our health and challenges for our good creating future visualizations is an option where in the possibilities of what our mind can create is absolutely Limitless this is also a favorable option of creating visualizations for those who are unable to access any positive past memories or if thinking about the past is too painful let's look at how to create visualizations it can be helpful to sit down with a notebook and have a brainstorming session to produce scenarios for Vis visualizations so let's look at the different components that constitute a visualization first and foremost how do you want to feel mentally and physically right think of the emotions and Sensations you want to have and then what do you want to do and the options are so endless here right we may think of physical activities we want to be able to do again or for the first time maybe eating Foods again that we haven't been able to eat in years or thriving in the career we've always dreamed of for ourselves right this is personal what do you want to do then ask yourself what type of activities you want to do without limitations what are you eating and drinking what do you want to do for work if you're retired what kinds of activities will fill your days where do you want to go and you know when you're well do you have dreams about traveling or maybe you have a dream that seems impossible but that you have never been able to let go of what is that dream write all that down when we use our imagination to create the future that we desire that God desires for us we want to incorporate all of our senses into our visualization sight hearing taste touch and smell incorporating all of our senses brings the visualization to life and makes it more real and helps build those positive healthy neural Pathways that lead to Healing that was our teaching for today Stacy's going to guide us to our visualization yes I am I'm just going to zoom in and blow up my document okay okay everybody so let's get ready to do a short visualization together and feel free to turn off your camera if you like and find a comfortable position and close your eyes and take a deep breath in filling your lungs completely hold it for a few seconds and then slowly exhale letting go of any tension in your body and let's do that one more time nice inhale inhale and with the exhale drop your shoulders down away from your ears and just fully settle into the surface that you're resting on and continue to breathe deeply and evenly feeling your body relax more with each breath now as we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July in the US you're going going to imagine a wonderful time with friends and a perfect relaxing summer evening unfolding around you you arrive at a beautiful backyard with lush green grass and flowering trees and bushes that line the perimeter of a spacious inviting expansive yard and beyond that you see the glimmer of the sun on the still Blue Water that butts up to the gorgeous yard and extends as far as your eyes can see the water looks like dark glass with sparkles dancing on top of it from the sun's reflection and the Sun is beginning its descent casting a warm Golden Glow over everything you can hear the soft murmur of conversations and the occasional burst of laughter you feel the gentle breeze on your skin that's the perfect temperature carrying the scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass and as you walk towards your friends you notice the enticing Aroma of grilled meats and vegetables wafting through the air your stomach starts to growl at the tantalizing smells of food all around you the sizzle of the grill and the sound of drinks being poured create a symphony of Summer sounds instantly making you feel at ease and so excited to enjoy the night ahead you join your friends who greet you with warm smiles and Open Arms you feel the joy of their company the warmth of their friendship enveloping you your best friend Smiles at you and hands you your favorite beverage and you take a sip the cool liquid tingles as it flows down your throat and your taste buds seem to dance with happiness it's incredibly refreshing and you feel a wave of contentment watch over you and as you look around smiling as your eyes take in the scene of friendship food and laughter you thank God silently that you feel energized and happy you're so grateful to be engaging in life and doing all the things that you want to do again and as you sit down the plate filled with Scrump ious food is handed to you the site is a feast for your eyes a juicy burger vibrant salads Smoky grilled vegetables and delectible desserts your mouth is watering at the sight and the Aromas you take a bite of your favorite dis savoring the explosion of flavors in your mouth the textures and tastes are exquisite and you just feel a deep appreciation for the abundance of delicious food you can enjoy you're just Overjoyed that you're healthy you can eat whatever you want and feel amazing in your body there are no restrictions on what you can eat and drink and your heart warms with immense gratitude to God for your healing laughter fills the air as you and your friends share stories and jokes and the connection and camaraderie make you feel alive and truly present in the moment the sun sets cleaning the sky with Hues of pink and orange and purple a photo couldn't begin to capture the beauty of God's creation all around you the air cools slightly you feel a pleasant shiver from a slight breeze coming off the blue water and you wrap your arms around yourself and a comforting hug and as Darkness Falls a hush of anticipation spreads through the group and you look up to the sky just as the first firework bursts into a shower of color vibrant greens and Golds blues and reds and purple and every color splashes across the night sky canvas the sky is illuminated with brilliant patterns and vibrant explosions and the sounds of fireworks popping and crackling fill the air mingling with the ooze and a of the crowd you feel like a childlike wonder and just amazement thoroughly enjoying the spectacle of light and sound and it stirs something deep within you such joy and gratitude to your loving father God once again for being able to be a part of a fun night and to make new memories that you'll cherish you feel wonderful in your body light and free completely at ease you smile and feel relaxation flood your body as you look around again taking in the sight of your friends and the gorgeous scenery surrounding you the joy of being able to eat what you love to stay up late with no worries and to feel amazing through it all fills you with gratitude you're surrounded by the warmth of friendship the beauty of the evening and the freedom to Simply Be and you begin to yawn as the night grows later feeling a contently full belly and you know that you will sleep deeply and soundly tonight as your head hits the pillow reliving the fun evening what a gift this has all been and as the final fireworks fade you take a deep breath in holding on to the feeling of joy and contentment and slowly exhale noticing the relaxation all throughout your body now begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment maybe wiggle your fingers and your toes stretch gently in your chair wherever you're resting and when you're ready open your eyes and you can carry the sense of happiness and joy and freedom and just feeling so good in your body throughout your day okay that concludes our visualization glad to see you're still awake okay so as Christina shared of course we have that tool in the toolbox you can do brainstorm think of ideas um and it's it's great to visualize yourself of course as I guided you I said you because I wanted you to see yourself when you think about yourself doing it if you're adding words in your mind you can use the word I like you're experience it feels more powerful so let us know if you have any questions on visualization on the tool on the teaching or any other questions you're welcome thank you I have a question um just occurred to me I do you know like how there's a lot of um like role playing games that that people do now where they think they're a character and they play out that you know in a game or do you know if that's shown to have benefits or if it's a you know just I I have kids that that have done that and you know I would think it or even being an actor you know how a lot of times actors will fall in love with their co-stars or um just because they're repeating the lines and they're being that person just curiosity if you know anything like heard anything connected with neuroplasticity with that and how that might play in visualization yeah mean I can certainly see if you're you know acting in a movie and you're rehearsing the scenes over and over repeating those lines right the brain is so susceptible and doesn't know the difference between real and imagined and um the role playing again I can see if you do it repeatedly I would just be you know like cautious like what are you role playing that that's what I would wonder yeah the story people are creating could be good or bad yeah yeah yeah even as a writer I write fiction so you know just how a hard scene can make the day kind of you know or a good scene that's Happy kind of affects my mood so yeah that makes sense I you know I think was just digressing a little bit but I think for you like writing a hard scene if that brings you down I think I would remind the brain hey this was just a scene and I'm safe and this is my real life and then maybe even do a positive visualization but with the role playing I think I would if it were me I would ask myself is this what I want in my life right the role playing I'm doing is this what I want in my life and then if if not then I probably wouldn't do the role playing thank you yeah and I was just thinking too the the role playing well kind of like Christina said it could be used so benefici ially to if it's positive to create those good dose chemicals right that flood our body with healing effects and help rewire those neural Pathways so again very dependent on the subject matter but it could be such an advantage to depending on yeah what you're talking about specifically is it you know related to scripture or or there's so many different things we could talk about but so many ways we could use it in a positive manner yeah good question hear any other questions now everybody's thinking about Fourth of July food I know I am me too like darn as soon as we started this meeting I'm like uh oh I'm hungry I have a question hey Amy hi Amy hi uh could you guys talk about when visualizing um and your your mind um tries to include like you're trying to do an activity and then let's say you have pain you know somewhere and your mind tries to include that pain in the visualization which is kind of frustrating um I I don't know if I'm describing that well but um wonder if you guys could talk about that do you mean like it's hard to visualize yourself without symptoms without you know just just feeling perfectly well yes yeah and we've heard that before because depending on the length of time that that anybody's dealt with Sensations symptoms conditions um it can sometimes be difficult to think of yourself see yourself well um one thing we can do is to grab pictures of ourselves doing things in the past um you know activities things like that that we could put around us at home wherever we see it because when we look at those pictures because our mind thinks in images it's going to remind our brain I can do those things I am well right so looking at those pictures I think will help you be able to incorporate that then when you visualize that's one idea um I was going to say even when I was during my healing journey and trying to retrain my brain that it could do things or would do things again that were difficult I put I pulled up images on Google things like that that things I wanted to do and then I would I would spend time looking at them and I would basically let my brain know these things are safe and I'm going to do these things and just create that connection in my brain those neural Pathways of myself and that activity if that makes sense um whether a lot of the time it was sitting for me that was hard um but as I looked at pictures more my brain didn't associate the pain with sitting I just focused on sitting and feeling good like on different surfaces I don't know if that helps at all or yeah you have any questions based on that yeah that that can help I can TR try that or maybe somebody else has tried some things that have helped if you want to jump in and add any comments you know oh go ahead well I was going to say for me you know my brain tried to push back in the beginning and I love your suggestion Stacy and sometimes I would just in the middle would say no and just keep speaking out how I'm feeling right because you're speaking out how you're feeling I feel amazing I have great energy my body feels comfortable whatever that is for you sometimes I had to just um push back on my brain if that feels comfortable and if not you know that's okay too yeah I really I like that idea Christina yeah yeah kind of telling your brain how to how to think the other thing I used in my journey that goes along with it and I should probably add this to the toolbox but I created kind of like an what I call like an ideal day or my ideal life and I wrote out in bullet points like everything I wanted to do part of it was coaching on zoom and here I am part of it was like one activity was working out and going to the gym and doing all the exercises I wanted to one was traveling with my husband like easily effortlessly so you can create your own list of what are the things you want to see in your life and of course you can pull those components into your visualizations and I would read over it I would read over it daily and I was far from being there I was here and everything I wanted to achieve was way over here what reminded me to mention it I was cleaning out my bookcase and reorg reorganizing it this weekend and one of my books was tucked in that ideal life ideal day visualization and I read through it and not every single thing but most of the things that I focused on I visualized I read out loud to myself are happening now so it can be so powerful when we tell our brains what we want to focus on and do it repeatedly I know we talk about repetition all the time so that's an idea that that kind of ties in with the visualization uh we can just do a quick document on our computer or even write it out with the repetition of looking over it and telling your brain these are the things we're going to do because we're getting better right now and reading over and over and and it helps your mindset to be focused on on what you want so just an idea any other questions questions in general or about visualization I have um a question that's not related to the visualization okay um so this morning my daughter um was having some symptoms and she went to the doctor and she called me this morning to tell me she has a rather large uterine Po and asked me if I knew anything about them or did I ever have any you know those types of questions and I immediately just started to be anxious my mind went like worst case scenario um and besides anyway my answer was I've never had anything like that I don't know anything about it and so besides thinking the worst I also so started to feel um inadequate as a mom you know she called me looking for advice or asking me questions and I I don't know how to help her and I don't have the answers yeah so what and I'm thinking even thinking about it now could feel my heart pounding getting that anxiety I don't this is what my mind does just thinks the worst and um so what tools can I use uh like what I don't I guess I'm not exactly sure what I'm why I'm feeling this way so I'm not sure what what to do yeah that's and that's tough you know when your daughter is calling you and um I did look it up in the diagnostic handbook I couldn't find anything on it a couple of tools come to mind one the identifying emotions right you know what are you so you felt inadequate and maybe anxious so what are the thoughts and you already identified the thoughts I feel inadequate as a mom right and that sounds like something the enemy wants you to believe you are not a doctor you don't have answers for everything but that's what the enemy wants you to believe and so the other tool that came to mind is the um old men new men exercise because sometimes when it's just swirling around in our head you can say well that's not true I am a good mom and right it it just doesn't quite take you just keep ruminating on it so when you write it down on paper and start that exercise right the very first question is well what evidence do I have that I'm not a that I'm inadequate as a mom and then you might say well I didn't have an answer for my daughter and then the next qu I love the first two questions while is not having an answer for your daughter evidence that you're inadequate as a mom right and you see it like written down on paper that this is just a lie from the enemy this is an old man lie that I'm believing when you get to the end of the exercise whatever your final I think Kevin Dr Kevin calls it your new man activation or whatever that's what you then want to meditate on so when the enemy tries to come back with that lie you say no and you meditate on the truth right those are the first two that that come to mind for me as Tools in this situation so it's the identifying emotions and the old man new man they're both in the toolbox yeah and what about um me just going to worst case scenarios I tried to Google I I've heard of them I know that I guess they're common because I've heard of them but I've never had to I've never dug any deeper than that because they've never affected me or anyone close to me yeah so I I started to Google and you know she told me the size and it's considered rather large so and I saw negative things you know worst case scenario you know the big c word um and I just I feel helpless like as a mom you know she's an adult she's married I want to help her and I yeah absolutely what to do or how yeah I mean you know the worst case scenarios catastrophizing right I mean those are all it's all anxiety it's like these future fears and worries that may not come to pass as a mom you can pray you can take authority right I mean what's better than prayer and taking Authority speaking it out thank you Lord that these pops are leaving thinking that they're not cancer as my daughter is healed in the name of Jesus right maybe write it out and for every worst case scenario pull out that old man new man counter it with scripture right teach your brain that know I am not going the worst case scenario and for me it's another thing that took some time to where I know don't go to worst case scenario anymore but in the beginning I did in the of this journey right and I used these tools and I started working on renewing my mind and the more your mind is renewed to what the word of God says the less you'll go to worst case the you'll immediately go to well we're going to pray about this or well that's not going to happen that's going to be your go-to eventually right and right now it takes a little bit effort to do that but I love the old man new man exercise for all these lies we're bombarded with I don't know if you've tried that yet and Kevin Chapman has an example in it's in his four-part teaching on anxiety which we have a link to in our Facebook group I think it's guide number six and number I think we have the link to the VD in actually in the old man new man exercise is a link to the video that he talks about it right is that true Stacy I can look that up I've actually yeah it is there I've actually okay how I I did watch his video a while a couple weeks ago yeah I don't remember anything in it so I have to I do have to rewatch it the other thing I was thinking about Rosanne when you were talking and then when Christina mentioned the identifying emotions worksheet that can be so good because you mention the thoughts you're having right and you're gonna on that worksheet you're going to write those thoughts down it's part of it and then when you get further down on the worksheet which worksheet in particular she mentioned to the identifying Em I'm talking about the identifying emotions so one of the components is thoughts and when you write down your thoughts write down Sensations thoughts behaviors then after you've written it down and kind of there's a time to calm yourself if you feel activated and then the next section is it points us back to examining our thoughts and we look and see the thoughts going through our head that we've written down every time I've done it I can clearly see the direct association between my thoughts and the emotion so my guess is when when you write it down the thoughts you're having you will probably see a very clear connection how they're contributing to anxiety or worry or fear so it's good to see that on paper and then we get the opportunity to catch those we get the opportunity to change those we don't have to let those thoughts stay in our mind right this is where our power comes in and this is where where the brain rewiring you know our part comes in of we get to choose and flip those statements on their head and say no God's word says this and so this is what I'm going to think and say and response now granted it's not easy and it takes repetition like we talk about but as those thoughts continue to come up for you you know you may have your worksheet nearby in the beginning and you can just grab it and be like nope this is what I'm going to refer to this is the truth because in the beginning it takes a lot of like no I got to grab that thought Wrangle it and then replace it with the one I want and we do that over and over and over until eventually it starts to get easier we we become aware quicker of those negative or fear thoughts or whatever might be causing the anxiety and we just start to more quickly go to what does God say or what's the truth we just recognize that lie a lot quicker so I think that could be really powerful for you when you see the connection between the emotion and the thoughts on paper it it does for me every single time so I wanted to share that and then I wanted to share a quick personal experience um I've been standing against uh assist that I've had for years um in my body and it's not my body I'm standing on God's promises and even though I don't have kids I have a mom and I was just thinking you know I call her for Comfort right I call her because she's my friend and because she'll give me just love and she'll just be there for me and to listen and I was just thinking I bet your daughter just wanted to talk to you to hear your voice to be comforted to know you love her maybe not that you can fix it because like Christina said you're not a doctor but you can do so much more than what the doctor gave gave her how he's helping he she's helping her because you're her you're her mom and you have that special connection so again that lie that the enemy is throwing at you that you're inadequate or you can't solve it but you can give her so much more and and you do and I just wanted to point that out being her mom that you do thank you I'm glad that she at least told me you know I didn't uh tell her how you know how I was feeling but um yeah I just I guess I want to avoid going down those Paths of where it's affecting me you know where I I just yeah just immediately got really nervous and you know she gave me a couple of like you know and I said well what did the doctor say like what are your options and um she said surgery and immediately you know that scares me um or uh I guess progesterone or something I'm not sure I think she said um and I I don't know anything about either one so it's like I didn't even know what to say or how to guide her or like listen yeah and and that kind of reminds me of my conversations with my mom like that like I'll call to share I'm having a hard time I'm going through this thing and she just holds space for me to to talk or if I'm upset or maybe shed some tears but just to be that comfort for me I don't expect her to solve it it um but just again to hold that space and that and be that love for me and so again recognizing for you the anxiety or whatever is your feeling is is due to the lies that the enemy is feeding you you know we especially with loved ones I think so often we want to fix things things we want to make people all better right and that's so often where it comes in we have to give things to God whether it's trying to fix relationships or trying to fix Health when we realize okay that might not be in my power it's in my power to speak the word and to speak life and and maybe to direct your daughter we can say this we can pray this or this way but just that relief of knowing you know I don't have to fix something or I don't have to I know we want to help but that's but that's when we get to give it to God and and give our trust and our faith and just hand it over to him which really helps provide some relief for us knowing that we don't have to carry that burden so I don't know that help I'm I guess I don't know why I feel like I'm responsible to fix it yeah I guess because you know that's what you do as a mom you know your kid falls down has a boo boo you kiss it you make it better you know and I must still be in that mindset yeah even though she's 28 she's not six years old scraping her knee um and I I don't know how to how to let that go I guess I have to I have to give it to God because there's yeah maybe you can find maybe you can find a few scriptures um one God gave me about a month ago and I have been meaning to put it in group coaching because it just really spoke to me I was going through some things that were causing me fear and it's just simply when I'm afraid I trust in you and it it spoke very power powerfully to me and I'll tell you why when I studied it out Roseanne we know what when I'm afraid means but when I studied out I trust in you trust is translated as safety and calm and hope and life and so when I took what showed me and put it against the fear it showed me that when when I turn my direction my thoughts my focus to him and his word that he brings me safety he he brings my brain calm and then that just calms my body and it it brings me to to a place of health and so I just keep going back to that it's it's a simple scripture but it helps me to recognize okay I'm feeling afraid and what I want to do is trust God and it that scripture helps me to redirect like so often again we feel like those thoughts that come in can just take up camp and that they can stay there but grabbing that thought and putting it back to what God says just it takes the burden off of us to have to to hold that thought and you know that we get to change it over to what he says instead of accepting whatever arrows that the enemy is throwing at us because he wants to make us afraid and fearful he knows how much you love your daughter but you say no way this is what God's word says and we just we do it over and over because we know his word doesn't lie we know that it's there to comfort us and it it truly is like our biggest tool so to speak thank you you're welcome I hope some of that helped yeah I'm going to do those worksheets that you and Christina recommended yeah I do like that verse too the when I am afraid I trust in you it reminded me of my cousin um told me a few months ago I guess she homeschools are kids and they went on a uh on a field trip to the airport and her son who is 7 years old um they were going down the stairs of the of inside the air downstairs to where the airplanes were being were housed or whatever uh airplane being worked on and she said her son was she heard him repeating when I'm afraid I will trust in you when I'm afraid I'll trust in you and it just shows how you know when you feed these things to the kids they come out you know how they say to teach them when they're young here he was seven years old he didn't vocalize to his mom that he was afraid she didn't say the verse she was holding his hand they were going down the stairs and he was repeating this verse and you just reminded me of that and that that made me smile that was nice that's a nice ver thanks for sharing it's really good yeah thank for these tools that we have Lord that line up with your word catching those negative thoughts and taking them captive and changing them to what your word says and it it does take effort in the beginning Lord I know that but it does get easier and we thank you for that as well we thank you that we are able to renew the subconscious mind we're not stuck with what happened to us in our past we can work through it we can renew the mind we can have new thoughts in the subconscious and then live out of the renewed subconscious where it's just not so hard anymore so I thank you for that Lord also pray for healing for anybody here right now Lord and um anybody watching in the future I say be healed in the name of Jesus I command your body to line up with the word of God and work the way God designed you to work whether it's Mind Body syndrome or something else we just command healing we command sickness disease to go Lord I also lift up family members whether that's children or spouses or parents or siblings um thank you Lord that they are healed as well thank you that we will not need surgeries or treatments or medications that Lord your word will do the healing Jesus did the healing Lord he paid for it and I thank you for that so father thank you that um healing is ours that is happening right now help us to renew our minds help us to stand against the lies of the enemy because we know he will try but Lord as your word says the more we submit to you and resist those lies he has no option but to flee so thank thank you for that father Lord I pray a hedge of protection around everybody I pray that everybody would have a safe and funfilled um Fourth of July holiday tomorrow just to be able to enjoy time whatever anybody is doing Lord we thank you for that and we love you Lord we pray all this in Jesus name amen amen all right everybody thank you all so much love you bye bye
