a new chapter begins for vocal Fusion as we embark on a new adventure in season 11 in search for the musical stars of tomorrow with a bit of change in tactics vocal Fusion once again extends its reach Nationwide to invite talents from across Pap Guinea to send in their pre- Edition video entries via online by either sending it through the MTV website or via WhatsApp this opened up an opportunity for talents from all centers spread out across the country to take part in hope to be one of the lucky ones selected to fly into Port Mosby to take part in the main audition which is set to be hosted here in the nation's capital welcome to vocal Fusion season 11 we're here at the Hilton Hotel where the vocal Fusion team are preparing for the screening and calling of entries that have been streaming in for over the past few months so many entries received from all over the country inclusive of the central Province and we're hopeful in our find for our soon to be Stars I'm your vocal discover some hidden gems never heard before Oh my God we are back baby let's do this wo I'm over the moon I can't wait for it to get started already yeah right before we do get into uh season 11 what are your thoughts on the the past season 10 season 10 was a huge one for us you know Big 10 um it was also a slow burner um with the contestants that we that we put through to top 12 uh probably like Midway through they started to understand the tools that were involved in what was expected by the judges and then they started to progress from there and then the the energy started to every show was 100 you know and I'm sure that the viewers also had their favorites too and they could see the growth in the contestants which is what we love and as a coach that's what I love to see is for them to to apply everything that's taught while you know because I mean that's what workshops are for um so this year I I um expect the same but more you know every year we we try to be better we try a better every year for the people here in PNG the talent is is overboard it's overflowing with Talent here hence why I keep on coming back you know cuz I I want to I want to just invest so much in what I know and how to help the the upand cominging artists here and PNG and who wants to pursue it further than vocal Fusion but I I think that this platform is beautiful it's perfect for these the people here in PNG so I hope and pray that we find the best of the best um it's been running for 11 years now so hopefully the ones that that have been watching and been a fan of the show since season 1 they've grown up what it's been 11 years so hopefully they've sort of Taken on board what's expected of the show and they uh they enter this year for their audition so also another thing that what I'm very excited about is that we've spread it out um the auditions online to anywhere that you live here in PNG so all the provinces are all involved this year which is great and I think it's just going to be I was a shitload I think it's just going to be like oh we're going to be overwhelmed with so much talent online as well as uh in person audition so see how it goes bring it oning it go hello I have mentioned before uh the auditions are are online so you've got the whole nation um they'll be taking part in it what are your expectations for this year or this season well I know I know there's going to be so much great talent out there we are giving an opportunity to the ones that um you know vocal Fusion hasn't been you know to these provinces and stuff and I think they're as excited as we are to um be a part of it so I know we'll be able to see some fresh talent I think that's what I'm really excited about it's going to be great yes well we're all excited as well and looking forward to see before we do um get into season 11 season 10 what were your thoughts on season 10 oh it was big it was big for me it was my second second season to be part of the part of the uh panel of Judges so but to see the talent grow like that but I know this year will be much more bigger you know it's it's exciting to to get uh audition coming coming from provinces where so for us to to get uh a submission from from from other centers is and it's really amazing to to go through and I can't wait to go through them so really hope there's some some good ones so we can get some but uh yeah it's for that too it's it's exciting to see so [Music] hey hey me I told you 11 it's not 11 yet all right so it's vocal Fusion season 11 I know we were all excited for it um before we do get into that um what are your thoughts on local Fusion season 10 well SE 10 was you know there was a mixed bag of people and uh it all turned out really good we're lucky that we have a very very high class coach and uh she took uh some bumps and pieces with these some of these people but as is usual with vocal Fusion they came through at the end right moving forward we've got season 11 now what are your expectations I know you're excited but what are your expectations well it's it's it's it's we've been through this before I mean we've done this situation before where people have sent in their uh songs uh and here we are today uh uh viewing their songs and we're trying to go through this when we went through this with the co and uh so it's not new to us but uh at the end of the day uh we've still got to come up with the same scenario we got to get the best thing us but the good part about it is so a lot of these people have come from all over the country places that we don't normally go to when we go visiting and uh it's great to see after the break straight off the bat man the first one is amazing we take a look at the first lot of entries cured up for the selection process [Music] [Applause] auditions um you guys have gone through a couple of them so far how are you finding it so we've just gone through the um the website submission ones and right now we haven't really found what we're really looking for there's been a couple but not so much I think for us to this is season 11 and the standards high and we're just looking for those ones that can be unique and you know have so much talent that it's so evident when we see it right now not so much but we still got more than halfway to go so we got fingers crossed that will come across a couple ones awesome how about you needs any thought thoughts on that yeah um we hoping the WhatsApp entries give us some good ones to make work with coach for the season so yeah fingers crossed yes trust trust hi coach hi you doing hi your thought so far on the uh audition yeah okay so like so far we haven't had any standouts um we haven't yeah you know what they've tried their best um some of them haven't some of them have not sort of read through the criteria and what we are expecting uh this year so unfortunately we haven't really had the expect the expect factor that we've been looking for um there have been just a few that I can count on one hand that has the potential to go further than what they've given today um to the through to the main audition but I will stay optimistic and positive because we do have a few more to
