Pond Building with an Existing Concrete Wall

Introduction

Steps in the Process

  1. Preparation of the Wall:

    • Use the existing wall instead of new blocks.
    • Wood Piece: 1x2 inch wood drilled into the concrete wall.
    • Garden Edger: Added to hold the pond liner.
  2. Installing the Underliner:

    • Materials Used: Carpet underliner and old pond liner.
    • Source for Underliner: Local carpet shop (typically discarded items).
  3. Setting Up the Liner:

    • Use Firestone 45 mil pond liner (25x15 size).
    • Screws used to secure the liner against the existing wall.
    • Drilling holes into the brick wall and securing with screws.
    • Supporting the edger with a piece of wood underneath.
