the Safari in the Vos gate at the nagar forest is our story today this episode is not just special for the elephant lowers but for those who fear the elephants too visuals of wild dogs are also attached in this video and if you're expecting the visuals of a tiger we have not just one but of three there are visual treats for both the animal lows and the wildlife lovers so I'm not going to prolong the introduction let's plunge into the Safari [Music] there are three Safari gates in the nagar ho tiger Reserve in Karnataka we have already covered the kabini naachi gate in the previous video today we have booked the Safari at the third Safari gate named vahali we have taken the Safari package in the jungle Lodge resort that is the jlr under the state government the jlr provides the package that covers both the stay and the Safari we have reached here by noon after checking in and having lunch we have just started the evening Safari this begins at 3:00 p.m. we have entered the forest by passing the entry gate to the forest though it is afternoon there is no rain and much heat it's a beautiful weather the road on the left leads the HD Kota and we can reach the kabani Safari area by this road both two wheelers or good wagons are not allowed through this road but it is possible to take her car in the day so these are my co- explorers in the Safari so he's taking his camera so there's is something in the front side oh it's a mother elephant and her baby see her tail I think is not in a good [Music] mood so while passing by if the elephant is trying to hide behind the trees it's certain that it is not enough a good mood Don't Panic don't [Applause] [Music] fight and it is in a mood to charge this kind of charging is known as mock charging and it's a kind of petty threatening in order to protect her baby they use this opportunity to show its strength as it approaches us with her wide open ears and a swagging trunk so while making this show off just move away and the Elephant will retreat but if the elephant approaches slowly folding its ears back it's certain that it will attack and we need to be [Music] cautious after traveling through the road for a while we are entering the deep forest it's already told that kabani naachi and V hosah Hari are the three Safari gates in the nagar H Forest among them kabani has has the most chances to have the best sightings and we are almost similar areas to cover while having Safari in naachi and [Music] V we have striped Mongoose here strip necked mongus is the biggest type of mangoose seen in Asia they are mostly seen in Kur nagar ho area the striped necked are not just seen in the forest they're also seen in cultivating [Music] Fields this Pond is known as chick palala Pond this is a single pond in the Safari area where we can see crocodiles though we couldn't find any crocodiles we could see many tortoises it is said that there is only one crocodile left in this Pond and on the branch there's a daughter bird on the left and a little corant on the right [Music] so let me explain this package for those who are planning to visit here I have taken the package in the jlr king Sanctuary Resort which costs 12,000 for two people per day which includes the evening Safari and the food for three timings and we need to pay an extra of rupees 1,770 for the next day Safari so overall for two safaris and stay it costs almost 6 ,000 for two people for one day we have waited to see the tusker drink water but he left back into the forest have to Overlay the think what going to [Music] do the Golden House have started and we have to get the sightings during these hours [Music] the road is Muddy since there's been rain in the previous days so as I was saying though the gates are different from nanachi and Vos Safari the Safari is in the same place so it's better to book nanachi when you're going from Kerala CU it takes almost 1 hour drive to reach vahali through the gate which opens at 6:30 in the morning there's a brown fish ow waiting for a spray since the lights are going [Music] down we could see some elephants coming to drink water from the chickp Pala Pond when we were coming back after the first round we we have waited for a little while to see them crossing the road when we are inside the forest we should not go just behind some elephants or tigers or leopards but we need to observe small and Tiny things it's when the forest trip is completed so if we look a little closer to these visuals we can see dragon flies flying around and while observing them an elephant has approached us on a charging mode but it was just a mock charge so let's wait and watch those elephants bath in the pond [Music] it seems that there are almost nine elephants the pond is not so deep even if it is deep those elephants won't drown you may think that since those elephants are too heavy and large in size they may drown but they the experts in swimming so we need not be afraid [Music] we could see a naughty male baby elephant who came back to the pond even after retreating to the forest there were two male baby elephants one was too young and he retreated early and the last one to retreat is the oldest in the her and that might might be the [Applause] leader this is the one which came to charge us she entered into the pond only after ensuring that everyone else in Her Herd are in the pond they all went back into the woods but the crocodile is still missing people used to ask me in the comment section about my camera I have used Nikon z30 and 50250 lens to capture the visuals of these elephants I think this is the best compact mirrorless camera available today but I've used GoPro 9 and iPhone 12 as well for some visuals I always mention in the description the type of camera I've been using to capture in the respective video while moving forward we could see some wild GS grazing we could see them Grazing In The Open Fields in the morning and the [Music] evening lights are going down though the evening Safari is from 3:00 to 6:00 we have to depart by 5:30 so that we can reach to the resort by 6:15 p.m. so we are planning to leave we were not happy cuz we could not find the sightings of Big Cats but for our luck we could see two tigers on our way [Music] back it's a 4 and a halfy old Kun tigress and her cup the tigras is double the size of the tigas seen in the kabon region both Cubs are one-year-old but we can apprehend its growth by just looking at [Music] it the other cup came suddenly and climbed on the tree while the first one was roaming around with the mother since we have the tigers climbing the tree we have falsified the myth that Tigers could not climb the tree but it is said that tigers can climb on the trees of small Heights and it's true that they cannot climb like [Music] leopards [Music] it's not 545 yet but the lights are already fading the Tigers in the company are more photographic friendly whereas the Tigers of naachi just run away when they see the safari Vehicles both the Cubs are big enough just like the mother and they'll be getting separated and making their own territories in another 5 to 6 [Music] months usually the Safari doesn't long this much we stayed a little longer just cuz we got the tiger sightings and we're heading back to the resort now we here for the dinner after our bath the food was good and decent in every property of [Music] jlr so we are going back to the room after our dinner major sightings of the previous weeks are written there camera charges are also mentioned here they pay 1,150 rupees per Safari for 200 to 500 lenses it's it's dark outside we're heading back towards the room but I was thinking it would be better if he gets a night vision camera so that we could see if there are animals inside the campus so as a solution for this we've got a small camera if we connect it with the mobile we can see if there are animals and to our surprise we could see some deer we could see every living object even if it's a small bird using this [Music] camera you're in a situation where we can barely see anything but by using this camera we can see some animals roaming around after surfing a lot in Google I came to know that the product named hick micro is the best thermal camera used for night vision starmax Trading Company in angamali is the Indian Distributors of this [Music] product so this is the product this does not need any kind of battery we just need to connect it with our mobile and it can be used by using their app there are options to record photos and videos when we go for night dries we just have to connect it to the mobile to the spot any animals even if they're hiding in the bushes it can be seen so this is a basic model which cost me around 50,000 bucks and there are premium models available which include zooming option I have added the product details and the phone number in the description please check out and next day morning around 5:45 we have started our second Safari when we go for Safari at vahali they let our vehicles pass first so there are chances to sight some animals in this morning there are some wild gos on the side of the [Music] road after 30 minutes of Road Safari we just entered the forest the woods are covered with fog as usual deer are a first visual treat [Music] today this fog is the most important attraction of of the Safari let it be any Forest this fog has its own Beauty moving forward by enjoying the fog we can see four wild dogs which seem to be in search of food two of them has the same kind of lameness which may be caused due to some [Music] injuries [Music] these wild dogs commonly called D share similarities with wolves are mostly seen in nagar forest I'm not repeating this behavior and details since I've already mentioned in the other Wildlife stories let's leave them there and continue with our [Music] exploration there's a wild board by the side of the road it's eating the termites from the dried branches of a tree while boes eat anything thing but how do they eat termites since they don't have such a long [Music] tongue though we have seen a lot of wild boes before it's the first time we've seen it this close see the canines once the incases are grown they turn into canines usually they do not attack humans but it may attack if they feel threatened [Music] [Music] the wild boore left to the woods once its tummy was full and we continued a safari we're going to the region where we saw the kunto Tigers yesterday in the hope of citing them again we heard an alarm call this time all are on high alert and are very cautious this time which means the tiger is somewhere close alarm call is a kind of sound that is made by a deer once they have sighted something that makes them feel threatened and at the same time they raise the tail so if we hear this sound and by observing this position we can realize the presence of a tiger or a leopard we've just heard the sound of an aight peacock flying towards a left side which is about 100 m far that means it might have seen the tiger which moves in our opposite direction so staying there seemed worthless so we have to move [Music] ahead moving a little further we could see some elephants gracing and we just stopped a vehicle at a safe [Music] distance after observing for a little while the elephant started flapping its ears by flapping their ears it means that they no longer bother about us all the elephants are observing us while crossing the road they do so because they have the baby elephants with them the her is not dangerous but the single parent is something to be afraid of they simply try to attack without any provocation because they afraid of this yesterday we saw a mock charging on the road as she was a single parent you should try traveling through naachi to Vos route if you're coming by car to myour or some other regions close by you should certainly get the experience of the forest Safari as my friend got a sighting of a tiger laying down near the road just 2 weeks back when you're coming from kic Cod you should come through kaleta manand toti K VI naachi so if you're using public transportation you can take buses to manand from kiod and canor buses are available from manand to ca every 30 minutes CA is nearest town in Karnataka after toti which is a Kerala Karnataka B order it's only 4 km to reach naachi from [Music] CA since the Safari regions from naachi and vosi are the same we could see the happy faces of tourists coming back after the naachi Safari and The Travelers with me one with the camera on his top is aravind KARK those who follow wildlife in Instagram may be familiar with him anyway I'll give his insta page details in the description [Music] so we back again at Kun region this place is known as kuntur and the Tigers who created its territory here came to be known as the kuntur female which we saw yesterday this Watchtower is known as the kuntur Watchtower we have waited almost 10 minutes in the hope of citing a to female again but she wasn't spotted since she had been to some other places there were no alarm calls or [Music] signals while roaming in the woods we came across the tiger po Mark and those belong to a male tiger named muga it is said that muga is the biggest tiger seen in the nagar ho tiger Resort the average lifespan of a tiger is 12 to 15 years and muga is in his elderly days since he's already 14 years old muga has barely been spotted for almost 5 to 6 months except her P marks embedded in her knif Safari his nose was injured during the territory attack in the past and now he is a half injured monstrous rised [Music] tiger [Music] there are two new black panthers in the naachi area both the CBS born to a blind leopard are black panthers as you already know black panthers are just born as leopards but with high amount of melanin there is no other difference between a black panther and a leopard so far kabani has the most chances to site Black Panther in South India but that black panther named blacki is in its last few days since it had been injured in some territory fights so at present naachi Safari area has the highest chances to spot black panthers but they can only be spotted if the Cubs make their territory in the tourism [Music] area very often we come across lizards during our journey they pray on birds and eggs in the nest on the trees as he can climb on the trees very [Music] easily as our safari time is coming to its end we just entered back into the road and we are on our way back to the resort this trip is worthy as we spotted few animals on our way back we spotted wild dogs after a grand meal along the roadside usually there are almost 10 to 15 wild dogs in a pack but sometimes there'll be only four to five as we have here today and we have seen in the morning as well but they not the [Music] same [Music] the unity had to be specially recognized though they look similar to our local breed of dogs and wild dogs do not bark but they howl they're too brave and intelligent that they not even afraid of [Music] tigers [Music] usually they hardly seen to be inactive and resting and we barely get those closeup visuals but we're lucky enough to find them resting so we got some nice [Music] shots [Music] so we're leaving the woods we just reached the exit gates of nagar ho tiger Resort this is our Resort and its electric fence to avoid the elephant's trespassing so I haven't shown you the rooms yet this is our reception area it's a big area which looks as if it was made with the coconut leaves and the restaurant is also installed in it they have a vast compound and there's a swimming pool at that [Music] corner let's move towards the room there are two packages named the Maharaja and standard I have selected the standard there's a hall as we enter the room which is furnished with a sofa and television there are the dressing room and the washrooms on the left and a wide bedroom the stay is excellent the behavior of the staff is to be appreciated as they treated us royally just like we see in every jlr this is all about the Forest Story let's meet up soon with another interesting story see you soon
