there are so many rules to fight procrastination like the 10-minute rule the 5 minute rule sh La Buffs do it throw away your phone the 2-minute rule but if you're like me even just the act of getting started with a 2-minute rule is hard understand that procrastination is a habit and habits can be changed the reason why we procrastinate is because it's form of stress relief as we avoid we get stress relief this 60c rule I'm about to talk about will bridge the gap between the procrastinating and the two m Rule and so the first step is acknowledging the stress I'm going to fail my presentation is due tomorrow I won't pass the job interview anyway you never got to get rid of the stress in your life but you can change the action so our main goal is actually to focus on the action from the moment you have an instinct to act on a goal immediately count down from 5 4 3 2 1 go and move towards action for the next 55 seconds your goal to Simply get ready and I literally mean just get ready nothing else during this process you tricken the brain into thinking you're just setting up at this point you've got everything set up for you and you may as well just get started simply do the task for Just 2 minutes research has shown that if you've reached this far 80% of you will keep going remember it's not your concentration that's getting in the way it's the habit of avoiding good luck or should I say good work thanks for watching and I hope to see you in the next video
