Jan 19, 2025
Moonwalk Tutorial in Under a Minute
Steps to Moonwalk
Positioning
Turn sideways.
Starting Move
Lift your right heel up.
Slide your left foot back, keeping it flat.
Important: Keep the heel of the left foot down to avoid looking awkward.
Switching Feet
Now, switch by sliding the front (right) foot back.
Avoid the tendency to moonwalk only in socks or on slippery floors.
Ensure you keep your weight on the foot that’s lifted (the right foot) to create the illusion of sliding.
Practice the Switch
Pull the back foot, then switch and pull the front foot.
Eliminate the pauses between movements to gain fluidity.
Practice Together
Count:
"Seven, eight" - begin to practice moving backward together.
Remember to keep practicing the switch: back, back, back.
Tips for Enhancing the Move
Add a push or other movements to make the moonwalk look cooler.
