Lecture Notes on "The Year of the Woman" and Prophetic Models

Introduction

  • Discussion on the concept of "What is a woman?"
    • Distinction between being female (a gender) and being a woman (an office designated by God).
    • Emphasis on the spiritual office and mission of a woman.
  • Focus on the year being prophetic "Year of the Woman."
    • God's raising of 10 models (5 by the enemy, 5 by God).

Year of the Woman

  • Clarification between femininity and womanhood.
    • Femininity: often associated with emotions and external attributes.
    • Womanhood: a spiritual office involving responsibilities in God's mission.

The Esther Season

  • "Esther Movement" vs. "Jezebel Movement."
    • Esther Movement: Awakening to God's original purpose for women.
    • Jezebel Movement: Misuse of power against God's will.
  • Importance of mission and submission.

Five Prophetic Models God is Raising

1. The Midwives (Shiphrah and Puah)

  • Role: Close to government, able to influence decisions.
  • Characteristics: Fear God over Pharaoh, protect life, resist evil edicts.
  • Example: Mothers, nurses, heads of churches, policy influencers.
  • Reward: God provides them with houses and positions of influence.

2. Jokebed

  • Role: Mother of Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
  • Characteristics: Converts inherent spiritual qualities into tangible leadership.
  • Builds an "ark" - protective, strategic structure.
  • Application: Women in various sectors building systems to counter societal challenges.

3. Miriam

  • Role: Support system, runs alongside the ark.
  • Characteristics: Skillful, resourceful, influential.
  • Important to understand role in supporting rather than leading.

4. Pharaoh's Daughter

  • Role: Unlikely savior, raises Moses.
  • Characteristics: Outside traditional faith, yet used by God.
  • Significance: God can use anyone to accomplish His plans.

5. Sherah

  • Role: Builder of cities.
  • Characteristics: Apostolic, strategic building in both spiritual and physical realms.
  • Notable Achievements: Built Upper and Lower Beth Horon, Uzen-Sherah.
  • Prophetic voice and strategic planner.

Conclusion

  • Call to action for women to rise up in prayer and leadership.
  • Invitation for African women to join a movement on October 12th for national transformation.
