Exploring Ancient Religions and Practices

They taking it all away. Alright, so we on YouTube. You just want to go over there? hmm google is your friend i'm worried i get updates on all that stuff do you like yeah i have a it sends me updates and like all the romaine lettuce and i i went quickly to my refrigerator and made sure i had no romaine lettuce that's right you gotta get rid of that yeah that's that's bad bad bad news you All right. Thank you, Pops, for that briefing and admission. We appreciate it. All right. So we are going to get... And yeah, hmm? I'm not on Facebook. I don't see it on Facebook. I'm gonna need you to turn your phone down, man. Class is starting. You turn your phone down. All right, yeah, I don't know what we're going to do about Facebook. All right, all right. So you already see what we're going to talk about today. It's going to be surface level. I didn't get too deep into it. Just give a brief overview of where it is, how it can be found, and what it means. But before we do that, we need to talk about something. Because we need to talk about it, okay? So apparently last week's lesson struck a little nerve for some people. Not necessarily bad, but you know, yeah, that's why I'll be keeping the service level so because I don't want everybody to get in that type of mode, but there were some questions asked, so let's talk about it. Last week we talked about sacrificial offerings and how Egyptian and Canaanite deities were the basis and main focus of these. offerings. We learned that many of these deities are still being worshipped today. They are still relevant as most things like commercial products and religious institutions. So it was brought to my attention that for some of us, we may look at these examples and think that, oh no, I'm participating in the worship of these deities because of what I'm doing. And I'm here to tell you that that is not true. No, you're not. It doesn't work that way. Just like when it comes to the Father, you have to show and prove. Simply knowing about these other deities or thinking in some of the products that they may be associated with doesn't mean that you're worshiping them. As a matter of fact, we must come to an understanding that as long as we live in captivity, you cannot escape this system that is created to work against you. No matter what color you are, if you're male or female. For those of us who are in this truth, you have to have a foundation that allows you to move and operate within this beast system. You cannot escape it. You can't escape bad food, the water, or even the air. The best thing you can do as of right now is to have a personal account of your life and repent and do what the Father has commanded us to do. Anything else that you are trying to do is futile because it doesn't have anything to do with the Father, right? Where is your focus? That's what I'm basically saying here. There's no need for it. This is why we need to get it right. Now, of course, there has to be some discernment in any matter, but with obedience comes faith. We should all have the faith in the Father that as long as we are doing what he wants us to do, the Father will cover us in our times of need. Ladies and gentlemen, stop the worrying, y'all. Okay? You guys stop the worrying. That's what we're doing this whole obedience thing for, right? to show you the steps that you need to take so you don't have to worry about this stuff. It's going to get a lot worse. As a matter of fact, let's read how worse it's going to get. Punishment for disobedience. That's a great segue. But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments, if you spurn my statues and if your soul obfers my rules, so that you will not do all my commandments but break my covenant, then I will do this to you. I will visit you with panic. with wasting disease and fever that consumes the eyes and makes the heartache and you shall sow your seed in vain for your enemies shall eat it i will set my face against you and you shall be struck down before your enemies those who hate you shall rule over you and you shall flee when none pursues you isn't this already happening right now and then and if in spite of this you will not listen to me Then I will discipline you again sevenfold for your sins, and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit. Then if you walk contrary to me and will not listen to me, I will continue striking you. sevenfold for your sins. And I will let loose the wild beast against you, which shall bereave you of your children and destroy your livestock and make you few in number, so that your role shall be deserted. And if by this discipline you will not turn to me, but walk contrary to me, then I will also walk contrary to you. And I myself will strike you sevenfold for your sins, and I will bring a sword upon you. that shall execute vengeance for the covenant and if you gather within your cities i will send pestilence among you and you shall be delivered into the hand of your enemy so again right there you can't escape it when i break your supply of bread ten women shall bake your bread in a single oven and shall dole out your bread again by weight and you shall eat and not be satisfied but in spite of this you will not listen to me but walk contrary to me Then I will walk contrary to you in fury. I myself will discipline you sevenfold for your sins. You shall eat the flesh of your sons and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters. And I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars and cast your dead bodies upon the dead bodies of your idols. And my soul will harbor you and I will lay your city's waste and will make your sanctuaries desolate. And I will not smell your pleasing aromas. And I myself will devastate the land so that your enemies will settle in it, shall be appalled at it. And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your city shall be a waste. Then the land shall enjoy its shabbos as long as it lays desolate. While you are in your enemy's land, then the land shall rest in its joy, its shabbos. As long as it lies desolate, it shall have rest, the rest that it did not have on your Shabbat when you were dwelling in it. And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintenance into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a driven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues. They shall stumble over one another, as if to escape a sword, though none pursues. And you shall have no power to stand before your enemies, and you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. And those of you who are left shall rot away in your enemies'lands because of their iniquity. And also because of the iniquities of their fathers they shall rot away like them. That's Leviticus 26, 14, 39. Here's what we need to focus on. This is why we are going over obedience right now. It's not about what we think. It's not about what I think. It's strictly about what the Father says and has commanded. Once we get that situated, then maybe things will start to change. Maybe we'll start to see some type of promise. But as of right now, there's no fear of Yahuwah. So nothing's changing until we start changing. Right. All right. Mishnah sacrifice once and for all. This is Hebrews 10, 1 through 6. For since the law has but a shadow of the good things to come. instead of the true form of these realities, it can never, by the same sacrifices that are continually offered every year, make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise, will they not have ceased to be offered since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sins? But in these sacrifices, there is a reminder of sins every year for it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Consequently, when Mashiach came into the world, he said, sacrifices and offerings you have not desired. But what? Body, prepare for me. In burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure. So, for if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins. But a fearful expectation of judgment and fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. What's that? Is that wrong? Oh. I'm sorry. Oh, okay. Well, let me read that again. For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sin, but a fearful expectation of judgment and fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. All right. So. In the OT or the Old Testament, animal sacrifices signify forgiveness of sin. The Hebrew terms used in these contexts refer to the cleansing of the impurity caused by sin and Elohim's pardoning of the sinner following that cleansing. In its original context in Psalms 46 through 8, that is associated with David who understands right living to be better than right ritual. In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. Psalms 46, this is Psalms 46 and 8. Then I said, Behold, I have come in the scroll of the book. It is written of me. I delight to your will, O my Elohim. Your law is within my heart. And lastly, 2 Peter 2 and 21. For it would have been better. for them never to have known the way of righteousness, then after knowing it, to turn back from the set-apart commandment delivered to them. So before we go into this review of this, you know, what do we get out of that? I know I said, you know, that we're here to learn about obedience and we can't escape anything, but from those little verses right there, you know, once you're in this truth, you're in there, all right? Ain't no turning back. Now you can, but it's going to be punishment for that, right? So it's pretty much better just to do what he's commanding you to do. It's not that hard, right? It puts a strain on you when you think about other things outside of this covenant. That's where the hardship comes. It's not about what the father wants you to do. He made that easy for you. So this outside world thing everything's going on about the bad lettuce and all that stuff that's stuff out there for them They ain't got nothing to do with you up in here, right? Keep your focus. All right, any questions? Any questions? No? Okay. That was my little disclaimer. Review time, review time. The Levant. Modern Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, and Jordan. Last week we talked about how all of these countries were close together. Back in those days, they say the ancient Near East, they all took from each other, whether it be their rituals, their sacrificial offerings, clothes, food, or whatever. That's where we are right now. We're just going over that part. The Levant is an approximate historical geographical term. Referring to a large area in the eastern Mediterranean Primarily in Western Asia in this narrowest sense it is equivalent to the historical region of Syria in its widest historical sense The Levant included all of the eastern Mediterranean with its islands That is it included all the countries along the eastern Mediterranean shores extending from Greece to Saranaca now Remember we talked about all those isms too. Yeah, monotheism, polytheism, henotheism, and caftanodeism. If the biblical writers could use Elohim to refer to entities beside the God of Israel, then they did not equate the term God with only one entity. The biblical writers knew there was more than one Elohim because they did not reserve the term only for the God of Israel. The faith of the biblical writers allowed for the existence of other gods or Elohim. This also means that the modern term monotheism does not accurately captured the beliefs of the biblical writers. This disconnect is caused by the desire of modern readers to reserve the word God for one being, whereas the biblical writers did not necessarily share that desire. Meaning, when it comes to people's understanding as it is today, everybody wants to try to equate it to what they want it to mean, not exactly what it did mean. And as stated before, we talked about different sacrificial offerings and cultural influence from Egypt, such as the offering formula, also known under its transliterated form of its incipit. It was called Hotel Da Nasut. I know I said Ja before, but it's actually Na, actually Da Nasut. It was a formula, was a conventional dedicatory formula, formula found on ancient Egyptian. funerary objects believed to allow the deceased to partake in offerings presented to major deities in the name of the king or in offerings presented directly to the deceased by family members. It is among the most common of all Middle East Egyptian texts. It's insipid, hotel da, new suit or new set, an offering given by the king is followed by the name of a deity and a list of offerings given. The offering formula is usually found carved or painted onto funerary stelae, those big long pieces of stone, or false doors or coffins and sometimes other funerary objects. The offering formula was not a royal prerogative like some of the other religious texts such as the Litany of Ra and was used by anyone who could afford to have one made. All the ancient Egyptian offering formulas share the same basic structure. But there is a great deal of variety in which deities and offerings are mentioned, in which epithets and titles are used. The offering formula always begins with the phrase, This phrase was in use since old Egyptian and literally means an offering given by the king. This dedication does not indicate the gift was personally given by the king. Rather, it identifies the funerary offering as being royally authorized. Because the king was seen as an intermediary between the people of Egypt and the gods, the offering was made in his name. And so next of the formula names a god or Elohim of the dead and several of his epithets. Usually a god is Osiris, Anubis, or rarely Jeb or Wepelet, or another deity. This part of the formula identifies the local funerary establishment that actually provided the offering. The offering is seen as being under the auspicious of that establishment's patron deity. Then an invocation of the deity would be written. After that, we talked about the opening of the mouth ceremony or the ritual. It was an ancient Egyptian ritual described in the funerary texts, such as the pyramid texts. The ceremony involved the symbolic animation of a statue or mummy by magically opening its mouth so that it could breathe and speak. There is evidence of this ritual from the old kingdom to the Roman period. Special tools were used to perform the ceremony such as a ritual adage, an arm-shaped ritual censer, a spoon blade known as a pishkev, a serpent head blade, and a variety of other amulets. A calf's leg was also held up to the lips painted on the coffin. Now last week I didn't show you this. I should have went ahead. This is what they would put into the mummy's mouth to open it. So they could accept food, which really makes no sense that they're dead. Why did they eat? But that's what they did. The ancient Egyptians believed that in the order for a person's soul to survive in the afterlife, it would need to have food and water. The opening of the mouth ritual was thus performed so that the person who died could eat and drink again in the afterlife. Right. That's like, I don't know what they were thinking. But we're going to get to what they were thinking, okay. So the ceremony involved up to 75 episodes, and its most complete version included the following stages. Episodes 1 through 9 was preliminary rites. Episodes 10 to 22, Animation of the Statue. Episodes 23 to 42, Meat Offerings, Aligned with Upper Egypt. Episodes 43 to 46, Meat Offerings, Aligned with Lower Egypt. Episodes 47 to 71, Funerary Meal. Episodes 72 to 75, Closing Rites. Any questions so far? contact with neighboring civilizations, the Egyptians also adopted foreign deities. Devon, who was first mentioned in the Old Kingdom, may have come from Nubia and Baal and Annette and Astarte, among others, who were adopted from Canaanite religion during the New Kingdom, circa 1550 to 1070 BC in Greek and Roman times from 332 BC to the early centuries AD. Deities from across the Mediterranean world were revered in Egypt, but the native gods remained, and they often absorbed the cults of these newcomers into their own worship. Remember, all of these nations were super close to each other. All right. So my question now, with all this being said, we have seen how all the nations at that time shared in each other's customs and offerings and sacrificial rituals. Where did all these nations get this from? Wild guess, anybody, anybody. Hmm? Hmm? Hmm? Nah, I'm looking at one person. She said something. Hmm? What'd you say? You need a mic? Hmm? Say what? It's not a trick question. I know y'all know this. You saw what the title was. Y'all be acting like this is an essay question. Alright. Let's keep it going. Alright. Oh yeah, now I can know. The fallen messengers come and call the fallen angels. Okay. Yeah, I know you already knew it. Alright, so what do we know about the fallen messengers or the angels? Oh, this might need a mic. Okay. That they was cast out of the kingdom. They have war with Elohim. Were they necessarily at war with them? They were just being disobedient children, right? Online? All right, we keep going. Okay. All right. So Genesis 6, 1 through 8. When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of Elohim saw that the daughters of man were attractive and they took as their wives. any they choose. Then Yahuwah said, My spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh. His day shall be a hundred and twenty years. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of Elohim came into the daughters of man, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. Yahuwah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that And that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And Yahuwah regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So Yahuwah said, I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them. But Noah found favor in the eyes of Yahuwah. All right, so what brought Yehud to this point? Why was he so aggrieved about what he had done? About why he had created man? What did they do? So the main thing was disobedience, huh? Okay, she said it. You got it late. Disobedience, that's it. Alright, yeah. During the time of the Abrahamic covenant, fallen messengers can be called angels or are messengers who came down from heaven or Shamaim. The literal term following, the literal term fallen angel appears neither in the Bible nor in any other of Abrahamic scriptures, but is used to describe messengers who were cast out of heaven or Shamaim or messengers who sinned. Such messengers often tempted humans... Two cents. Accordingly, fallen messengers became identified with messengers who were led by Hashatan in rebellion against Elohim and equated with demons. However, during the late Second Temple period, demons were not thought of as fallen messengers themselves, but as the surviving souls of their monstrous offspring, those giants that we were talking about, the Nephilim. According to this interpretation, fallen messengers have had intercourse with human women, giving existence to the biblical giants. To purge the world of these creatures, Elohim sends the great deluge and their bodies are destroyed. However, their spiritual parts survive, henceforth roaming the earth as demons. Questions so far before we get into this thing. All right. So two major places you can find about the fallen angels. One, of course, is going to be in Enoch. A more detailed verse scroll. all right but we are going to focus on enoch for the sake of who are these messengers what their names are and what exactly did they do okay so here we go the sons of heaven and the evil deeds of their children and it happened that when the sons of men multiplied in those days they beget good and beautiful daughters and the angels messengers the sons of heaven saw them and longed for them and said to one another come let us choose for ourselves women from among the people and bring forth ourselves children and surmise who was their ruler said to them i fear you may not wish to do this deed and i alone will be responsible for a great failure therefore they all answered him let us swear by an oath and devote one another to mutual destruction not to turn back from this decision until we complete it and do this deed then they all made a vow together and put each under each other under a curse in regard to this. These are the names of their rulers. Semiza, this was the ruler of all the angels. After that, Kimbra, Salamane, Daniel, Eros, Simele, Lamele, Cocherele, Ezekiel, Batrele, Sethiel, Atriel, Tamiel, Brickael, Anathena, Toniel, Ramiel. Ceil, Rachael, Turiel, these are all the chiefs of tens among them. Then they took themselves women, each of them choosing a woman for themselves. They began to go into them and defile them. And they taught them sorcery and enchantments and cutting of roots and explaining herbs to them. But those who became pregnant brought forth great giants from three thousand cubits. These giants ate up the produce of the men. And when the men were not able to provide for them, the giants had courage against them and ate them up. They ate up the men. And they began to sin against birds and wild animals and reptiles and fish. And each of them ate up the flesh and drank the blood. Then the earth brought up charges against the lawless ones. That was in Enoch 6, 1 to 7. The next part is the fallen angels teach humans magical arts. Isaiah taught the humans to make swords and weapons, shields and breastplates, the lessons of the angels. And they showed to them their mining and craftsmanship, anklets and adornment. So let's back up what they did. The lessons of the angels. What does that mean when you think about it? Think about the lesson that we had last week and everything that they were doing, how they were worshiping these other deities. They had to learn that from souls and stones and dying. Much ungodliness and prostitution happened, and they were led astray and ruined in all their ways. Samazah taught enchantments and cutting of roots. Aramal spells of healing. Rakiel, astrology. Kokiel, the science of systems. Sathiel, watching the stars. Syriel, the course of the moon. Therefore, the cry of the utterly destroyed people went up unto heaven. Now, we have the archangels appeal to Elohim for vengeance. Then Micah, Machiel, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel, looking on from heaven, saw much blood poured out upon the earth. And they said to one another, See a voice crying aloud upon the earth unto the gates of heaven. The souls of the people made an appeal, saying, Lead us to the highest for our judgment. And they said to Yehuah, You are sovereign of sovereigns. And the Elohim of Elohims, and the King of the ages. The throne of your esteem lasts until all the generations of the ages. And your name is set apart and great and blessed to all the ages. For you made all things and having all power and all things before you uncovered and open to sight. And you see all things that Azalea made, who taught all the wrongdoing upon the earth, and made visible the mysteries of the ages that are in heaven, and which men pursue and know. And surmise it to whom you gave power to rule those who are together with him. and they went to the daughters of the people of the earth and slept with them so they themselves were devoured and they revealed to them all sins and the woman begat giants under whom the whole earth was filled with blood and wrongdoing and now behold the souls of the dead shall cry aloud and make an appeal unto the gates of heaven and their groaning went up and he was not able to go from the face of the transgression happening upon the earth and you know everything before it came to be And you see these things and you allow them. You do not say to us what must be done for them about this. So they're saying, you know, you sit here and you you watching all this. And what are we supposed to do? Because they're hearing all the crying and all the going. So they want to do something, but you ain't told them nothing to do. So then the most high, the great set apart one spoke about these things. And he sent Uriel to the son of Lamech and said, say to him on behalf of my name. Hide yourself and reveal to him the end that is coming, that the whole earth is destroyed and the flood is about to happen among all the earth and utterly destroy everything that is in it and teach him that he should flee and his seed will remain in all the generation of the ages. And he said to Raphael, bind Azel hand and foot and throw him into the darkness. Open the desert that is in the dead well and throw him in there. and place under him the rugged and sharp stones, and let darkness cover him. Let him live there forever. Cover up his appearance, and let no light be seen, for in the day he will be killed to blow, so that all the children of the people may not be destroyed with the whole mystery that the watchmen ordered and showed to their children. And the whole earth was destroyed and laid waste by the words of Azazel's teaching, ascribed to him all sin. All right, did it turn over? And Yahuwah said to Gabriel, Go against the bastards, against the base ones, and the children of fornication, and destroy the children of the watchmen among the people. Send them to battle of destruction, for they will not have a long life, and there will not be any questioning to their fathers, even concerning themselves, for they hope to live an eternal life, and each of them will live for a long time. 500 years. Then go to Michael and Michael and then Michael and Michael said go and make known to Semiza and to those remaining with him those women with whom they mix being defiled by them in their uncleanness should their sons ever be slaughtered. The ages is completed. Then they will be led away into the gaping abyss of fire and into the torture and into the jail being shut up forever. And whoever is burned up and destroyed from that time, they will be bound up together with them until the completion of the generation. Destroy all the spirits of the false ones and the sons of the watchmen because of their wrongdoings to humans. All right. Destroy all wrongdoing from the earth and every work of wickedness will be forsaken. Let the plan of righteousness and truth be revealed forever. It will be planted with joy. And now all the righteous ones will flee, and they will be the living with blessing. And all the trees of the earth will rejoice exceedingly. It will be planted, and they will be planted vines. The vine that they plant will make pitchers of wine, according to each of the sown seeds. It will make a thousand measures of olives. It will make up ten jugs. And you, make the earth clean from all uncleanness, and from that is upon the earth. Wipe it away. And all the people will be serving and blessing and worshiping me. And the whole earth will be made clean from all stain and all form of uncleanness, wrath, and suffering. I will never sin upon them again until all the generations of the ages. That was all the way to Enoch 10, 1 to 22. Any questions thus far? So that's the gist of it. And that's what happened. All the angels came down and started doing stuff that they wanted to do, but being disobedient, like you were saying, and basically destroyed the earth. Now, most of the blame you thought would have been on Sarmazov, but it was on Isaiah. Because of what he taught them. He taught them how to sin. It was something more than just teaching them how to cook and how to cut down stuff. You taught them how to willfully disobey the Father. What they were doing. All right. Now we got that out. Elohims of the Old Testament. Now we want to talk about where we can find this all throughout the Tanakh. All right. Because. you know as the different versions came about they try to hide it more and more using different words different phrases so i'm just going to go through and see how we can find all this stuff here to let you know that this stuff is real there was actually a council with the father you know but they want and they don't want you to know that all right so here we go the rise of torah prophets and the writings commonly called the old testament primarily used two plural nouns for a plurality of gods Elohim and Elah. Here's a sampling of the meaning passage in which these terms occur. All right. Deuteronomy 32 and 17. They sacrificed the demons that were no Elohims to Elohims that had never known to new Elohims that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded. Psalms 82 and 1. Elohim has taken his place in the divine council. In the midst of the Elohim, he holds judgment. Psalms 86 and 8. There is none like you among the Elohim, O Yahuwah, nor are there any works like yours. Psalms 95 and 3. For Yahuwah is a great Elohim and a great king above all Elohim. You see the pattern here, right? It's showing you that Yahuwah is the one above all, so there has to be someone there with them, right? Psalms 96 and 4. For great is Yahuwah and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all Elohim. Psalms 97 and 7. All worshipers of images are put to shame who make their boast and worthless idols. Worship him all you Elohim. For you O Yahuwah are most high over all the earth. You are exalted For far above all Elohim. That's from Psalms 97 and 9. Psalms 136 and 2. Give thanks to Elohim of Elohim. For his steadfast love endures forever. I give you thanks, O Yehua, with my whole heart. Before the Elohim I sing your praise. Psalms 138 and 1. And Psalms 29 and 1. Ascribe to Yehua, O heavenly beings. Ascribe to Yahuwah esteem and strength. It goes on. Exodus 15 and 11. Who is like you, O Yahuwah, among the Elohim? Who is like you, majestic and set-apartness, awesome and glorious deeds, doing wonders? Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Yahuwah, your faithfulness in the assembly of the set-apart one. For who in disguise can be compared to Yahuwah? Who among the heavenly beings is like Yahuwah, an Elohim greatly to be feared in the council of the set-apart ones, and awesome above all who are around him? That's Psalms 89, 5-7. So, we're going to see here, we're going to basically dissect Deuteronomy 32 and 17 a lot. Because it really does have a great deal to deal with who the council really is. It's hidden message. It's hidden code, but we'll decipher it. Deuteronomy 32 and 17 describes the gods Elohim worshiping and disobedience as demons or Shittim, low ranking divine beings known in other ancient Near Eastern texts. All right. So you had the shed, which is a demon or the devil. Or you had shud, a prime root property to swell up, i.e. frequently by implication of insolence to devastate. to waste. All right, that is the H7700 and H7736. All right, so you are not merely idols of wood and stone as we find out. Elsewhere in Deuteronomy, the writer describes these other gods as Elohim as a heavenly host. So these other gods, as in here Deuteronomy 17, 2 and 3. If there is found among you within any of your towns that you who are your Elohim is giving you a man or woman who does what is evil in the sight of you who are your Elohim. and transgressing his covenant and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them or the sun or the moon or any of the hosts of heaven which i have forbidden all right so they put this stuff they lay it out little by little you know you may not have really thought about before you would think about who are the other guys but then again who who is his counsel that he's with there's all these other kings are supposed to be around him right all right so here is the h312 It means to hinder, next, other, other man. And the same heavenly host terminology also is used in reference to actual spirit beings, a symbol in Yahuwah's presence. Here we have here, Micaiah said, Therefore I hear the word of Yahuwah, I saw Yahuwah sitting on his throne, and all the hosts of heaven standing beside him on his right hand. And on his left. And Yahuwah said, Who will entice Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one said one thing and another said another. Then a spirit of Ruach came forward and stood before Yahuwah saying, I will entice him. And Yahuwah said to him, By what means? And he said, I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You are to entice him. And you shall succeed. Go out and do so. Now, therefore, behold, Yahuwah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets. Yahuwah has declared disaster for you. And that's 1 Kings 22, 19, 23. Now, remember that because we're going to come back to it so you can see that again. All right. So Deuteronomy 14 means Deuteronomy 4, 19 to 20. And it's explicit parallel to Deuteronomy 32, 8 and 9. Together demonstrate that the heavenly host terminology that designates more than celestial objects All right So do only for 19 and 20 and beware at least you raise your eyes to heaven And when you see the Sun and the moon and the stars all the hosts of heaven you be drawn away and bow and bow Down to them and serve them things that you who yellow he has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven But you who has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace out of Egypt, Mishraim, to be a people of his, lest your objects are the Elohim that can be found in Deuteronomy 32 and 17. They sacrificed to demons that were no Elohim, to the Elohim they had never known, to the new Elohim that had come recently, whom your fathers had never dreaded. And in Deuteronomy 32 and 8 and 9, they are called sons of Elohim. When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the people according to the number of the sons of Elohim. But Yahuwah's portion is his people. Yaakov has allotted heritage. And we're going to get back to that point in a few. Any questions thus far before we get to this next part? And if I am moving a little fast, let me know. No questions? You got anything online? Good job. All right. The number of children of Israel. While many translations read sons of Israel in Deuteronomy 32 and 8, following the traditional Hebrew text reading of Benny Yashual, sons of Elohim, Benny Elohim in Hebrew is a more probable Old Testament. Also attests to the reading Elohim, not Israel, for this verse. Basically, what they're saying is they switched the thing up. All right. They want to throw you off your track so you can just think that you're talking about Israel as a whole and not about the council that he was actually a part of. These sons of Elohim seem to have been spiritual beings who were part of Yahuwah's divine council prior to their downfall. Deuteronomy 32, 8 and 9, along with its parallel in 4, 19 and 20, provides a connection between other nations and the Elohim they worship. and the nation's opposition to Yahuwah and his people. So basically when it came to Israel as a whole they knew who Yahuwah was and who was a part of that council as opposed to other nations and their deities and who was a part of that council. It's supposed to be separate. The nations are under the domain of other divine beings because Yahuwah allowed for them to be so while Yahuwah chose Israel as his own people so therefore it was already supposed to be divided. All right, and we see this in Genesis 12, 1-3. Now Yehuah said to Abram, Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you, and I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Now here in 1 Peter 2, 9-10, But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation. People for his own possession that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into the marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are Elohim's people. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. So he's letting you know who exactly was his people. The story holds description of Deuteronomy 4, 19 and 20. Also occurs in Job or Job 38 and 7. When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy. This refers to the presence of the sons of Elohim at the creation of foundations of the earth. So they were with him from the very beginning. Sons of Elohim is a common designation for divine beings compared to Job 1.6 and 2.1. Now there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before Yahuwah, and Hashatan also came among them. In Job 2.1, again, there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before Yahuwah, and Hashatan also came among them to present himself before Yahuwah. Now, just so we can get a little refresher of who Hashatan is, you know that is Shatan, or the adversary, right? It means our archenemy of good. And in Psalms 82 and 6, I said, you are Elohim's sons of the Most High, all of you. And then this explicitly refers to the sons of the Most High as God or Elohim compared to Psalms 82 and 1 and 89, 5 to 7. So 82 and 1 will say Elohim has taken his place in a divine council. In the midst of the Elohim, he holds judgment. All right, so 89, 5, and 7 would say, Elohim has taken his place in the divine council. Wait, wait, wait, where we at? Yeah, in the midst of the hell. Okay, let the heavens praise your wonders, sorry. Oh, Yahuwah, your faithfulness in the assembly of the set-apart ones. For who in the skies can be compared to Yahuwah, who among the heavenly beings is like Yahuwah? An Elohim greatly to be feared in the council of the set-apart ones. And also above all who are around him. So this is letting you know he was a part of a divine council, a part assembly. Not to say that he didn't make none of the decisions, but there still was a council that he was a part of there. All right. So the Hebrew text of the Old Testament uses the term Elohim to refer to five different entities, even though this distinction is really clear in English translations. Yahuwah, the Elohim of Israel, more than 2,000 times. The Elohims of Yahuwah's heavenly council, both loyal and disloyal. Rejoice with him, O heavens. Bow down to him, all Elohims. For he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people's land. That's in Deuteronomy 32 and 43. Psalms 58 and 11. Mankind will say, surely there is reward for the righteous. Surely there is an Elohim who judges on earth. Elohim's punishment of the wicked testifies to the reality of Elohim's justice. Because the wicked did not go unpunished. As we saw right there with all those angels, what did they do? They still got punished for what they did. Humankind recognizes Elohim as a righteous judge. And that goes back to the first lesson we were talking about. He was more than just a father to us. He was a judgment figure as well. He created judgment throughout the land. Questions so far? All right. The Elohims of foreign nations. But he shall have one tribe for the sake of my servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel. Because they have forsaken me and worshiped Asherah, the goddess of the Sidonians, Shemash, the Elohim of Moab, and Malchum, the Elohim of the Amorites. And who do we say that Malchum was? last week think about it You remember Moloch? And they have not walked in my ways doing what is right in my sight and keeping my statutes and my rules as David his father did. That's 1 Kings 11, 32 to 33. Demons. Demons sometimes appear before the council. In the story of Ahab's fall, an evil spirit is enlisted to deceive the false prophets. We read this before. This is in Kings 22, 20 to 23. Elohim questions the spirits regarding Ahaz's enticement. But this does not mean that Elohim is consulting the angels about his plan. His response to the lying spirit indicates that its success has been ordained. Like I said before, it's not that he's seeking approval from the council, but he still wants to know what's going to happen and what are you trying to do just so he can approve it. All right. So we read it again. And Yahuwah said, Who will entice Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one said one thing and another said another. Then a spirit came forward and stood before Yahuwah saying, I will entice him. And Yahuwah said to him, By what means? And he said, I will go out and I and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, You are to entice him. And you shall succeed. Go out and do so. Now, therefore, behold, Yahuwah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets. Yahuwah has declared disaster for you. So as you can see, nothing gets past the Father. This is what the assembly is for. They're going to sit down and we're going to discuss these things. So you have Elidah, the community assembly, i.e. A social religious group as a congregation as a united gathering. And the sod, a session, i.e. company of persons in close deliberation by implication, intimacy, consultation, a secret assembly, counsel, inward secret. Then you have your sood, is a route to set, literary or frickely, intends to found, reflexes, sit down together. All right, a counsel to appoint or take counsel. So this is what they were doing. They were sitting down, they were consulting each other about what the things that they were going to do, and they were going to get the Father's approval for it. Alright, divine assembly, definition of religious belief or of a divine council that is made up of a Elohim or Elohims, or other supernatural beings, angels or demons, for example. Israel's divine council, an overview. The closest parallel to Israel's and therefore the Old Testament's conception of the assembly of the heavenly hosts under the authority of Yahuwah is the divine council of the Eucharistic. Practitioners of the Eucharistic religion organized an unseen divine world into three or possibly four tiers. In the top tier dwelled El and his wife Asherah. The second tier was a domain of their royal family, sons of El, the princes. One member of this second tier, Baal, served as the co-regent or the joint ruler or regent of El. Despite Baal being under El's authority, worshippers gave him the title Most High. So this is why you see most things that had to do with Baal, because they regarded him most of the time over some of their deities. The third tier was the craftsman deity. And perhaps the fourth and lowest tier was reserved for the messengers, the malachim, essentially servants or staff. The Old Testament exhibits a three-tier council. The craftsman tier is absent. In Israelite religion, Yahuwah at the top tier was a supreme authority over the divine council, which included a second tier of lesser Elohim, or gods, also called the sons of Elohim, or sons of the most high. high. The third tier comprised of the malachim or the angels. So you can see there your hierarchy. You had the father, you had the messengers and then you had the Lord, the angels. Hold on right there. Maury, I'm still kind of jotting that down. Hold on before you move on to the next slide. I have El, son of El. Then you have the craftsmen, deities and then you have Guitar so as you can see, you know Just like with any other nation, there was a hierarchy. It's just that, where did they get that hierarchy from that we're starting to see that when these sons of Elohim came down, they told everybody everything. But you have to ask yourself, well, why did they tell them that part? Because you think about it, since these other deities, these other nations, they're not worshiping the Father, so who are they worshiping? The Lord of the other. Or the ones that fall. Yeah. Are you done, Hakuti? Huh? Huh? Why she does that real quick. Way back when you were talking about 32 and 8 and 9 and 4, 19 and 20, Genesis 12, 1 through 3, you said it should be sons of Elohim, the divine beings, instead of sons of Israel. Can you explain that real quick? Well, like I said, there had to be some distinction. What the writers were trying to do, the modern writers were trying to do, would make you think that they were talking about actual people instead of the divine counsel that the Father was a part of. They were trying to trick you. Okay, so all those scriptures within that, that's what they're talking about. They're talking about the divine counsel, not the children of Israel counsels. Well, it's like Maury was saying right here, it was a translation issue mostly, but that's what it ended up being. It ended up making it seem as though they were talking about actual persons instead of the actual council that the Father was a part of. Okay, thank you. So real quick, to add on to that, wouldn't that be the same as when it said in Genesis, let us make man? That would be that divine council that he was talking about, right? Right. They were there from the beginning at the foundation. Yes, sir. All right. Moving on. The Council of the Heavenly. A meeting of Elohim and the Heavenly Host, which points to Elohim's role as king of the universe. Some scholars have proposed an analogy with Mesopotamian and Canaanite myths. about meetings of the pantheon of Elohim to decide the fate of the cosmos. For example, angels are depicted as presenting themselves before Elohim, perhaps to report their contributions to his plan. Like I said before, they were there just to say what they were going to do, not necessarily tell the Father what should be done, or to discuss how that plan will be effectuated. We read that in 1 Kings 22 and 20. However... Important differences exist. The monotheism of the Hebrew people is proclaimed rather than called into question by the council text. Yahuwah, or as it is in the KJV, the Lord, sits a throne amidst the adoration of worship and worship of the angelic creaturely beings, as we read in Psalms 29 and 1. And in the assembly, he is greatly feared as well as praised, as we read in 89, 5. Psalms 89, 5-8. His presiding over the assembly is directly tied to his sole claim as ruler and judge, which we read in Psalms 82, 1 and 8. Now, remember last week, what did we say a pantheon was? A pantheon literally means a temple of God or of a common to all gods. This is a particular set of all gods of any polytheistic religion, mythology, or tradition. Some well-known historical polytheist pantheons include the Samaritan gods and the Egyptian gods, and the classical attested pantheon which includes the ancient Greek religion and the Roman religion. Post-classical polytheistic religions include Norse, Ars, and Veneer, the Yoruba Orisha, the Aztec gods, many others. Today most historical polytheistic religions are referred to as mythology. Though the stories cultures tell about their gods should be distinguished from their worship or religious practice. For instance, deities portrayed in Catholic and mythology would still be worshipped sometimes in the same temple side-by-side, illustrating the distinction in the devotees mind between the myth and the reality. Thus, you have this divine council with Zeus and Hara. So this is how they set it up back then. The only difference in here is not only did they have, you know, One Elohim where they had one sitting right next to them, so it was a cold region like I said before. Alright, this is the last part. If you've got any questions before we get to the last part here. So we read about what happened before the flood, or why the flood came about. We read about how they just got really corrupted. So now we're going to see what happened to those nations and what got them dispersed. Alright, Deuteronomy 32 and 8 describes Yehu as dispersal of the nations at Babel and his resulting disinheriting of those nations, giving them over to other lesser gods like Elohim like we read in Psalms 82. In turn, describes Yehu as end times punishment of these gods, Elohim, for their corrupt rule of the nations. These passages are central to the Old Testament explanation for the existence of other nations pantheon. All right. All right. When the Most High appointed the nations, the fragmentation of humankind after the flood into the nations occurred at the Tower of Babel incident, which is in Genesis 11, 1 through 9, which is compared to the chapter before it in Genesis 10, which is which is the nations descended from Noah. And we'll get to that in a second. All right. So Deuteronomy 32, 8, 9, compared to 4, 9 and 9, 19 and 20. Note that Yahuwah then chose Israel for himself as a nation. The other nations would have no direct relationship with Yahuwah, but instead were allowed to worship and follow other Elohims. Other passages envision a future reversal of this situation with the nations coming to Jerusalem to worship Yahuwah. Now, this is in Isaiah 2, 2-4, compared to Romans 1, 16-17, in chapter 3, 29, and verse 9. I recommend for everyone to read these passages during your study time. All right. The Tower of Beth. Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. And as the people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. And they said to one another, come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth. And Yahuwah came down to see the city and the tower which the children of man had built. And Yahuwah said, Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language. And this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. Come, let us go down there and confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech. So Yahuwah dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. Therefore, its name was called Babel, because their Yahuwah confused the language of all the earth. And from there, Yahuwah dispersed them over the face of all the earth. Now, we're going to read, what was that? What was these other nations? These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, sons who were born to them after the flood. The sons of Japheth, Gomer, Madag, Madai, and Yavon, Tubal, Meshach, and Tiras. The sons of Gomer, Ashkenaz, Rephat, and Togarmah. The sons of Yavon, Elisha, Tarshish, Kittim. And of Amin from these the coastline people spread in their lands each with his own language By their clans and their nations the sons of ham cush each of a miss ring put and cannon the sons of cush Siba Havilah sceptre Ramah and to take a the sons of Ramah Shiva and the Dan cush fathered Nimrod He was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before Yahuwah. Therefore it is said, like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahuwah. The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, and Qarnay in the land of Shinar. From that land he went into Assyria and built Nidh-dvi, Her-re-ob-er, Kala, and Resin. Between Annamene, Lahabimene, and Napahene, you have Paphrycene, Heraklesene, from whom the palestines came, and you have Caperine. Cain and Phalicidium, his firstborn, and Heth. And the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Gigasites, the Hivites, and the Archites. And the Sinites, and the Aphrodites, the Semites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites dispersed, and the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidion in the direction of Gerah, as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Ammah, and Zeboam, as far as Lashai. These are the sons of Ham by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. To Shem also the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth. Children were born. The sons of Shem, Elim, Asher, and Harpakeshad, Lut, and Aram. The sons of Aram, Utz, Hul, Gathar, and Mash. Harpakeshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber. Eber was born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his day the earth was divided. And his brother's name was Yoctan. Yoctan fathered Amadah, Shelah, and Hazmaravet. Yara had Aram. Uzal, Dikla, Obel, Amuel, Sheba, Ofer, and Havla, and Yobab. All these were the sons of Yotan. The territory in which they lived extended from Misha in the direction of Safar to the hill country of the east. These are the sons of Shem by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. These are the clans of the sons of Noah according to the genealogies and their nations. and from these the nation spread abroad on the earth after the flood. Alright, so this is what most people rendered the Tower of Babel to have looked like. My question is, can anyone think of any building standing today that might resemble this rendering? Anywhere. Anywhere on earth. Think of anything. Think of one. The Tower of Giza. That's a good guess. That's a good guess. Anybody else? It could be a minor. The Eiffel Tower? No, the Eiffel Tower is a little up and down. This one was kind of circular. One more guess. Colosseum? Anybody else? Colosseum? Colosseum, that's a good guess. Junior Moray was right. Junior Moray was right. The European Parliament in France. Let you know, just like we did last week, this stuff is still circulating. They still worship this stuff and they're still trying to do it. That's why I said before, you can't escape it. It's always going to be around here. We're in the land of captivity. Hey, Dubai, well they rebuilt that. They're trying to do something bigger now. Trying to get higher. It was a cigarette, yes. It more resembled the Aztec pyramids instead of what this was. But this is what they want to go by. So this is why I put this up there. All right. All right. So before we go, everybody know that this Dirty Day Revealing Prayer Challenge is coming up. All right. It's coming up tomorrow. That's right. Starting the 1st. And Moray Media already has a video up giving some more instructions on what we need to do. Here I've got papers here so you can read those over and take them with you. So here it says, starts December 1st, 2019, 30 days of prevailing prayer, one hour straight of prayer, right? So you can't take no breaks, can't do 30 minutes here and 30 minutes there, all right? If you want anything else, you need any more information, you can visit the website, you can join below, or you can email him at info at mylivingbranch.org, all right? Any questions regarding the lesson? So I have a quick question. You did mention Eber as one of the sons, and I thought I had read somewhere that Eber was also like the equivalent to Hebrew. Is that correct? As in Eberit? Is that what you're saying? Yes. Yes. I'm not sure about that. I'm not sure about that. If anything, I'll have to get back to you on that question. Okay. Anybody else? I was going to ask, well, according to Psalms 89, 5 through 7, so basically the sons of Elohim. They were also counsel to Yahuwah. Am I correct with that? They were part of the counsel, yes. Part of the counsel. Okay. I just need to make sure that was clear. Thank you. The question is, the messengers taught them about astrology. Does astrology result in... Being. Um, yeah. I mean, in what way, though? Is it a negative or a positive way? You want to do negative, you got your horoscopes, don't you? You want to know what? They just want to know what does astrology. In a negative way, yes, because they can look at astrology as a point of being their Elohim, being their gods. Something that they worship, something that they keep their focus on more than the actual Father. Yeah, because they believe everything that's written about them, you know, with their zodiac signs. So they're taking those words over the Father's words, basically. Good question. Anybody else? Because you got to remember, it was brought down to them. You know, those Elohim taught them what they were doing when they were in Shamaim. So they recreated that when they got down there. Think of it like this, an organization. If you were part of a major organization and then you broke off to start your own organization, you're going to model your new organization off of where you've come from. Right, like I said, who would they worship him? You think about it, who would they model these other deities after? Here, please. Oh, most definitely. Now stop. Stop. Because you're going to open up a floodgate and I ain't write that down yet. All right. That's a whole nother lesson. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Basically, they brought their problems down to earth and put it among the people. All right. Anything else? I have a question. Yes. Okay, so I've heard that... there are other fallen angels besides the ones that fell with Hashton. I don't know if that's true or not, but you can let me know. But I guess my question is, the ones that, all the ones that fell, all the ones that are considered evil or doing Yah's will, in that sort of way. That weren't doing Yah's will, you mean? No, no, I mean now they're still doing Yah's, by what you said, they're still, like when, for Job, when when hashatown went and did they're still doing yah's will even though they're doing it certain ways there's places in scripture where like the evil tongue i'll be the lying tongue that's that's what i'm talking but what i'm asking is um would you say that all of these angels at one time were doing yah's will at one time right some of them decided they were going to break off And that's when, you know, when we were reading Enoch, you read the archangel part. You know, you had the ones who didn't leave with them, who were sitting there watching this and wanted to avenge the people. So, yeah, there was still some. All of them at one time were part of that council. But then you had a whole bunch of them that were that were led by a smizer. Because remember, we only went through a couple of them. There was a whole bunch of them that actually broke off. But those were the main ones. But at some point in time, they all were part of that council, and they all were doing what they were supposed to do. What happened is when the father decided to give the other nations over to them, they decided they were going to take Madison to their own hand and go down there and do what they wanted to do at that point. So yes, to answer your question, yes, at one point they were all good and all had a place at the council. Okay, thank you. Anybody else? All right. You want to close this out? My key? All hearts and minds are clear. We can stand and close. Is the mic on? There you go. Rukatah Yahuwah. Father, we thank you and give you all esteem, honor, and praise. We lift you up on high. Exalt your name above all. We thank you, Father, for your word that was given by the Moray, Father. We thank you for letting that word get into our hearts, minds, and souls. Help us to be doers. Help us to get understanding of your word and do exactly the way that you will have us to do it. And then, Father, we ask that you bless the Mori and his family, Father, as he continues to study your word, to give it to the people, Father, the way that you gave it to him. Then we ask, Father, in the name of Yahushua Mashiach, that you bless the meal that we are about to receive. Let it be nourishing in our bodies. Bless the hands that prepare the meal. In the name of Yahushua HaMashiach and the power of his blood. Amen.
