Recommended to take these bowel regimen medications alongside opioid medications.
Drowsiness
Significant risk when taking opioids.
Dangerous when combined with other sedatives or alcohol:
Avoid Benzodiazepines (e.g., Lorazepam, Ativan, Xanax).
Recommendations:
Avoid driving.
Avoid operating heavy machinery.
Stay home and rest while on medication.
Counseling Points
Emphasis on the potential for overdose, even for new users.
