Sales Management Podcast Episode Overview

Hey sales leaders, Weinberg. Happy, gorgeous, cool fall Friday morning. Yes, I'm in St. Louis, and yes, I'm spoiled.

The Cardinals are in the postseason again. Let's go Cardinals. First playoff game is this afternoon. Letting You Know dropped a brand new episode of the Sales Management Simplified podcast.

It's really short, and it's focused on one thing, a certain aspect of the one-on-one accountability meeting. I led an event in London a few weeks ago. We called it Sales Execution Simplified. And I said something there that kind of provoked the sales leaders in the room.

We had a really healthy discussion about it. Here's my thesis. If you have a salesperson who's struggling, the results are poor, the pipeline is weak, when you're done with that one-on-one meeting, I want them walking out with a feeling of discomfort. I don't want them leaving thinking everything's okay, and I don't want them coming back next month thinking that they're not going to have to face the music for results and pipeline. I know we want to coach.

I know we want to encourage. We should do that. but not in the accountability meeting and particularly with someone who's struggling.
