Ever wondered where Thailand is? This beautiful nation is located in Southeast Asia, bordered by Myanmar to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Cambodia to the southeast and Malaysia to the south. Known for its stunning beaches, rich culture and delicious cuisine, Thailand is a popular destination for travelers from around the globe.
The capital city is Bangkok, a bustling metropolis known for its vibrant street life, ordinary temples and bustling markets. The official language is Thai, which has its own unique script. The currency used in Thailand is the Thai Baht.
The economy is diverse. with key sectors including tourism, agriculture and manufacturing, making it one of the strongest economies in the region. Did you know that Thailand is home to the stunning ancient city of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site? This historical site features impressive ruins and temples that tell the story of Thailand's rich past.
Thai cuisine is famous worldwide for its bold flavors and variety. Dishes like pad thai, tom yum and green curry, are must-tries. Don't also forget to sample street food which is major part of Thai culture.
Nature enthusiasts will be amazed by Thailand's diverse landscapes from the lush jungles of Chiang Mai, to the idyllic beaches of Phuket and Komsomol.
