[Music] Marfa is a small town with just one traffic light and a population of under 2,000 located in the western part of Texas and it's basically a desert for over 135 years these glowing balls of Light have been spotted in the area however they're only really visible at night these lights have become known as the mara lights and no one seems to know what is causing them or what their purpose is in 1883 a young cattle driver named Robert Reed Ellison witnessed an unusual flickering light while guiding his herd across the plains Robert then shared his experience with others around town over the decades accounts of vibrant flickering lights have come from Farmers World War II servicemen and More in recent times on nights where the sky is not obscured tourists from around the world come together to see the lights however it is impossible to know when the lights will appear so many tourists end up seeing nothing locals suggest that the lights appear a few dozen times a year as you may expect most people seem to believe that these lights are somehow related to aliens others suggest that they are spirits of long dead people who lived in the area then there are people who say the entire idea of the lights is a hoax this next entry takes us to 2008 in Quebec Canada Marilyn berson was 24 years old at the time and had gone out on a walk that she never returned from Marilyn was born on December 21st 1983 and from a young age she had taken an interest in music Marilyn also enjoyed learning languages being fluent in English and French she was also able to communicate in Russian Spanish and a couple of other languages to a lower degree her parents described her as an outgoing young woman but she did have a knack to be Reckless engaging in some questionable activities at times but nevertheless they still love their daughter so Marilyn always had their support Marilyn's Brazen personality became a bigger issue when she started hanging out with a particular group of friends that her family described as a bad influence in 2005 Marilyn moved to Montreal where she found work in a small local music shop during her stay in Montreal she would occasionally head back home to her parents then back to Montreal but during during one of these return trips Marilyn's parents shared that Marilyn didn't seem like her usual self and one day Marilyn sat her parents down and told them that she feared for her life and she was not in a safe position when her parents tried to pry for more information Marilyn refused to elaborate one of her family members was quoted saying we tried to get her to talk but she wouldn't she would just cry but Marilyn did say that she never wanted to return to Montreal ever again her family instantly suspected that whatever situation Mar had found herself in it involved either illegal substances or money her worried mother continued asking questions wanting to help when she asked if Marilyn had perhaps been assaulted Marilyn just clamped up and went silent then she started to cry her parents started to suspect that there was someone in Montreal that Wasing Maryland of course they wanted to learn more but they understood that victims of such situations may not even be comfortable sharing this information to their loved ones but they did believe that speaking about her situation would help her out mentally so they urged her to seek therapy Marilyn would later reveal that it wasn't assault that she was dealing with but instead something much darker on February 17th 2008 Marilyn had finished her move back to her parents' home in Quebec City it was on this day when she left her parents' residence she didn't tell anyone where she was going but she left behind almost all of her personal belongings except for her credit card she was dressed in a black overcoat and suede boots later that day Sur Vance cameras recorded Marilyn visiting an ATM in loretteville Marilyn intended to withdraw 60 Canadian dollars but the withdrawal failed the footage captured by cameras also showed her nervously glancing over her shoulder multiple times hours later around 400 p.m. she was seen at Cafe Depot in St romal where she bought a cup of coffee with her credit card Witnesses described her as appearing depressed and anxious to leave the cafe quickly this would Mark the last time Marilyn berson was ever seen towards the end of the day Marilyn's family noticed that she had never returned home this greatly worried them because of the way she had been acting ever since returning from Montreal they contacted authorities who were able to retrace Marilyn's steps that day the police initially treated Marilyn's disappearance as a possible or voluntary disappearance however her family strongly believed she had met her end with Foul Play due to her recent fear and abrupt departure from Montreal the police also deemed the ATM security footage as two stressing to share with Marilyn's parents when they did eventually see it though her mother noted that Marilyn appeared quote unquote helpless it was mentioned that Marilyn could have walked the 25 km between her home and the cafe but her family believes that she likely got a ride and this thought was mainly fueled by those instances in the footage where it looked like Marilyn was looking at a particular vehicle nearby in the Years following her disappearance there have been several reported sightings of Marilyn particularly in Ontario in July 2010 a from hawksbury Ontario contacted the family claiming to have seen Marilyn regularly over the previous year the man said that Marilyn was living with a younger man and the two moved frequently other local residents also reported seeing her after being shown her photograph but despite these leads Marilyn's presence in Ontario has never been officially confirmed throughout the 2010s Marilyn's family made several attempts to shift the investigation to either the SQ or the Montreal police by formally appealing to the provin Ministry of public security they believe these agencies would be much more effective due to their broader jurisdiction and resources the Esq was known for his provincial Authority and high level of expertise while the Montreal police could potentially uncover crucial information from Marin's Connections In The City the family was grateful for the effort that the Quebec City police put in but they were growing frustrated with their approach the Quebec City police were mainly looking at The Disappearance as a and didn't really EXP explore other possibilities such as criminal involvements but all the attempts the family made to get the case shifted were rejected during a later news conference Marilyn's family offered the public a 30,000 CAD reward for information that would lead to the discovery of Marilyn one man named Jonathan guer came forward with some insight on Marilynn's life before she had left Montreal he shared that in late 2007 he noticed a significant change in her behavior on December 10th he visited her at her Montreal apartment before heading to a party Jonathan was a bit worried when he saw Marilyn she appeared somber sitting alone in the dark and listening to music which was a stark contrast to her typically cheerful and energetic self at the party Marilyn's mood seemed to lift somewhat but after a conversation with another friend she suddenly became anxious almost as if something traumatic had just occurred she quickly asked to leave and returned home back at her apartment she just got worse she was just non-stop crying her friends asked if something had happened such ASAP or some other traumatic event Marilyn strongly denied both she even went as far as to say that a scenario such as would have been much better than what had actually happened Jonathan claimed that in her exact words Marilyn said you can't even begin to imagine what I've been through in 2022 some new information regarding Marilyn was revealed at a news conference the information was old and investigators have been keeping it a secret it was reported that in December 2009 a local couple had had gotten a knock on their door at around 2:00 a.m. upon answering they discovered a young woman standing outside wearing a jacket white T-shirt jeans and high heels which was not suitable for the rainy weather at the time the woman was crying and begged the couple to let her inside the couple rushed her in asking if they can help in any way that's when the woman requested a phone she said she needed to call someone that lived nearby the woman was given a towel and a phone she dialed a number and held the phone to her ear for several seconds but it appeared that she couldn't get in touch with whoever she was calling the woman thanked the couple and headed towards the front door the husband told the young woman that he would drive her to wherever she needed to go since it was raining so hard but the woman declined at the time the couple wasn't aware of Marilyn Bergeron's disappearance fast forward several months from that encounter they see a new story on Marilyn and their jaws drop although the picture they saw of Marilyn was of her with darker hair and the woman who showed up at the doorstep was blonde they were confident that the two women were the same Marilyn's own family even said that she liked to dye her hair to this day Marilyn's fate after her disappearance remains a mystery over 2 200 years ago Athens experienced one of the earliest recorded pandemics now known as the plague of Athens this outbreak claimed the lives of an estimated 75,000 to 100,000 people roughly a quarter of the population at the time despite extensive research and debate the exact cause of the plague remains unknown the plague occurred during a conflict with Sparta which turned out to be a critical moment in Athenian history as the war continued Athenians including refugees sought shelter within the city's protective walls this led to overcrowding which combined with unsanitary conditions helped in rapidly spreading the disease an ancient historian who survived the plague named thiddies kept logs on how the disease grew initial symptoms included sudden headaches inflammation of the eyes and throat followed by sneezing heness and severe coughing as the illness Advanced victims experienced vomiting widespread rashes intense fever restlessness and unquenchable thirst in his later stages the plague caused diarrhea blindness and tissue necrosis survivors although immune to reinfection often suffered from severe memory loss as you could imagine this disease sent the population into turmoil the disease was cont contagious which led to widespread fear in turn people would leave those infected all alone and basically shun them resulting in many dying all alone bodies were often left unburied or hastily disposed of in Mass Graves through the centuries historians and medical officials have debated long and hard on what exactly the disease was this had led to many theories from experts who believe it could have been the Bubonic plague typhus small poox or even measles but of course the list does not end there Dr Philip makak a contemporary medical historian shared that it is very difficult to diagnose the disease due to how generalized the symptoms were by thus cities however one detail is of particular interest the presence of a rash has led some experts to consider epidemic tyus and small pox as potential causes epidemic typhus spread by lice matches some of thus cities' descriptions but is unlikely to have caused a widespread pandemic in the warm climate small pox also fits many of the characters istics though the absence of certain key symptoms in historical accounts makes it so many are not so sure that it is the cause modern hypotheses have proposed that the plague could have been caused by a viral hemorrhagic fever similar to Ebola even through cides in his records said he believed the disease to have African origins Roslin ballingall was referred to by many as extremely beautiful so when it was realized that Roslin had many insecurities some people were rather shocked and people all around the world have different ways of coping with their own insecurities some people may have beneficial ways of coping and others not as much unfortunately for Rosland her approach led her down a path of harm specifically she resorted to substance use a former classmate of rosin's later shared that Roslin often seemed rather aloof which was likely a result of her substance use in a different interview another classmate claimed that Roslin was part of a group called The Cosmic butterfly and this group isn't exactly known for being good in fact any conversations you hear about them likely involve illegal substances and so-called spiritual activities which I can only assume involve certain substances but it's not like the group was evil or anything Roslin was born on December 30th 1949 in Lusaka Northern rodesia now Zambia she grew up with two parents and two siblings the family relocated to y hburg when her father Horus secured a senior role at Barlo Rand mindes they were able to move into a very nice home in a well-off community after graduating high school Roslin enrolled in the University of Cape Town or UCT while there she spent a lot of time on curn Street in Greenpoint and this area was sort of hippie-ish it was known to be filled with people that loved substance use and despite her parents concern Roslin seemed to enjoy living in the location it wasn't until around June to August of 1969 when Roslin started showing signs of poor health specifically poor mental health Roslin participated in a university production but she wasn't exactly content with her role in it this made her feel like she wasn't good enough and as I've said towards the start Roslin resorted to substance used to deal with her insecurities two students noticed roslin's depressed appearance and offered to take her with them on this trip to feno they were going to visit a cottage in the forest with some other people this was a semi-regular trip made by ucct students and there was typically a lot of and substance use rosin accepted and the group set out on August 11th the next morning on August 12th after spending a day and a night in the forest rosin left the little cottage she was staying in it was around 9:00 a.m. at the time she had informed some other people nearby that she was simply going to get some fresh air and walk around and visit a local church Roslin asked for directions to the church that was supposed to be located nearby she carried along with her a Bible and it's during this supposed walk to church where Roslin disappeared night came and Roslin had not returned her friends grew anxious but decided to wait until morning to contact the authorities hoping that Roslin would just show up in the middle of the night so the next day rolled around and still no sign of Rosland so authorities were called police attempted to get in touch with rosin's parents but failed at first since the two friends that brought Rosland along didn't know her full name the two were taken in for question and one of them named Saia was released after it was determined that she was not involved in roslin's disappearance the search for Roslin was hindered by the denseness of the forest making it difficult to efficiently navigate through it it was speculated that Roslin may have taken some sort of substance before she left which put her in a sort of trans-like state where she wasn't all there mentally this may have caused her to walk around aimlessly ultimately getting lost despite extensive efforts by police family and locals no TR of her was found another theory suggested she might have reached national road which is about 6 km away and could still be alive but the official search was called off on August 26th 1969 various theories about rosin's fate emerged ranging from accidental death in the forest or Foul Play in 1986 a skeleton was found near the cottage but it did not match roslin's description that same year with no new leads and both parents being dead rosin was declared quote unquote presumed dead by the cape High Court over the years numerous alleged sightings of Rosland have surfaced but none have really been dug into if you recall I said that Roslin left the cottage in search of a church with a Bible in hand some have suggested that Roslin was sort of seeking help it's possible that she just felt like she was coasting through life and her experience that day on the trip with those other people just made her realize that she didn't have any direction Roslin may very well have reached this church and then went off to start a new life that she felt fulfilled by but it's not like there's any actual evidence to back that up that forest was said to be home to several Predators so it's entirely possible that she was attacked by some animal and consumed and due to how dense the foliage was in the area investigators may have just overlooked her remains so this next entry is going to be extremely short the link that the actual Iceberg provided took me to a page that had no information on it but after simply searching 1994 Queen's Jane Doe I found several different possibilities as to what the entry was referring to in case you aren't aware there are way too many people that go unidentified to where many people share the same Jane or John Doe designation so this entry could be referring to someone else but the Jane Doe that I found was a young woman estimated to be in her mid to late teens who was found dead in Queens New York in February of 1994 she was found wearing a leather jacket blue jeans a purple sweater a scarf and aqua eights which were a particular type of Jordan brand sneaker and aside from that there really is no information about this Jane Doe the secret refers to this book created by Byron Prius but it doubled as a treasure hunt originally published in 1982 the book combines 12 cryptic poems with 12 paintings each pair leading to a buried treasure or Cask which apparently translates to helmet these helmets were hidden in various locations across North America they contained keys that can be exchanged for valuable gemstones Byron himself traveled all around the US and buried these Treasures himself when a pair of poems and paintings is deciphered they guide treasure Hunters to the exact spot where a helmet is buried the challenge lies in interpreting the symbolic and cryptic clues in the poems and paintings so far three of the 12 Treasures have been claimed this includes one in Chicago Illinois in 1983 this treasure was buried in Grant Park the second was in Cleveland Ohio in 2004 this one was buried in the Greek cultural garden and the third was solved in 2019 and was buried in Boston Massachusetts specifically in Lang gun park there is still a decently sized community of enthusiasts trying to solve the remaining nine puzzles to this day but there is some fear that once another puzzle is solved the hints that it provides may not be very helpful this is because it's been so long since the puzzles were created that the land may have changed around where the treasures were buried or possibly the treasures themselves have been destroyed or accidentally found on June 7th 1992 three women vanished from Springfield Missouri leaving behind no signs of struggle and a trail of just weird Clues the women were Cheryl levit her daughter Suzanne Susie streer and Susie's friend Stacy McCall now known as the Springfield 3 on the night of June 6th 1992 19-year-old Susie streer and 18-year-old Stacy McCall attended several graduation parties after deciding against staying at a friend's house they went to Susie's home at 1717 East delmare Street where Susie lived with her mother Cheryl levit the young women arrived at the house safe in the early hours of June 7th but by morning they had vanished Without a Trace when friends and family arrived later that morning they found the front door unlocked and the porch light shattered on the ground but the inside of the house appeared totally normal the women's purses were lined up on the staircase their cars were parked outside and the TV was still on Cheryl's bed appeared to have been slept in and there were no signs of a struggle one peculiar detail was in su's room where the blinds had been pulled apart there was also the dog a Yorkshire Terrier which showed signs of distress but it didn't seem to have been hurt in any way unfortunately the crime scene was not properly secured immediately so it was deemed contaminated before the police were called more than a dozen people had entered the house potentially destroying key evidence nevertheless officials were able to come to several possibilities one Theory posits that Cheryl a cosmetologist who had recently started her own business was the main target however investigators found no evidence of conflict or enemies that might explain such an attack Susie had connections with individuals involved in criminal activities including her ex-boyfriend Dustin Rea who had been implicated in a grave robbing incident Susie had provided a statement to the police about the crime potentially making her a target for Revenge but Rea and his associates were cleared of any involvement another theory suggests that the women were victims of a random abduction possibly by a an FBI profiler suggested that a single individual with a gun could have easily subdued the three women without a struggle a fourth Theory involves a man named Robert Craig Cox in 1997 Robert Craig Cox a convicted kidnapper and suspect in a Florida murder claimed to know that the women had been murdered and buried Robert who was in Springfield at the time of the disappearances initially had an alibi from his girlfriend however she later took back her statement despite his claims no concrete evidence has linked him to the crime and Robert has not provided any verifiable information as the decades passed several interesting leads and tips came about one of which involved the show America's Most Wanted a tip received via the show's Hotline in 1992 suggested the caller had crucial information about the abductions unfortunately the call was disconnected before details could be communicated and the caller never reached out again they also were never tracked down there were also numerous reports from pedestrians stating that they came across weird lumps in areas such as parking garages and forests that they suspect might be Graves however all of these particular leads have been debunked to this day the case remains unresolved about 3,000 years ago there was a group of people who are said to have been responsible for the collapse of numerous Mediterranean Empires and civilizations however the actual name and origin of this group is a mystery for now they are simply referred to as the sea peoples their Origins remain one of History's more interesting Mysteries these Mariners who terrorized the Eastern Mediterranean in the 12th century BCE are believed to have played a significant role in the late Bronze Age collapse despite extensive efforts Scholars have failed at determining their true Origins and the nature of the group historical records describe the events caused by the Sea peoples as chaotic one inscription within the medin Habu Temple dedicated to ramsy III reads all at once the lands were removed and Scattered in the fry no land could resist their arms from hati kod Kish arzawa and alashia on being cut off at one time a camp was set up in amuru they desolated its people and its land was like that which had never existed they were coming forward toward Egypt while the flame was prepared for them other records say similar things stating that these invasions were the sole reason for the destruction of a numerous Empires yet despite how powerful and noteworthy this group was little else is known about them hints from historical texts propose the possibility that the sea peoples have Northern Origins some inscriptions indicate that the sea peoples came from the northern Seas the medin Habu have provided a decently sized list of tribes that may be tied to the Sea peoples but even these tribes have little information documented on them modern historians have proposed various theories some argue that the Egyptians likely knew the sea people's Origins but did not see the need to document it assuming it was common knowledge Gaston masaro suggested that the sea peoples were part of a massive migratory wave driven by environmental changes and famine the stress brought along with such change forced this group to be more Brazen with their approach and seek new locations to thrive in this sparked another theory saying that it may be possible that the sea peoples were some sort of raider group or band of pirates the Sleepy Hollow killer is the name given to an unidentified serial killer who terrorized the petto maritzburg area in kwazulu Natal South Africa operating from the late 1990s to as late as 2007 this killer focused primarily on women it's believed that he had taken the lives of at least a dozen women but there may be more his spree began in the late 1990s where he mainly targeted workers victims were founded and strangled with their own underwear this would go on to sort of become his calling cardak crime scenes these bodies were often discovered in remote areas along the N3 Highway in 2001 the police exhumed the remains of seven women from graves in Mountain rise and impoy attempts were made at identifying the women however these weren't exactly successful the killer didn't make any big splashes in the news for several years but this would change in 2007 when the bodies of three lifeless women were found all three being discovered in different locations these victims like their predecessors were assaulted and had been strangled with their underwear however these bodies were also severely burned postmortem adding an entirely new element to the case in response to this fresh series of killings a special task force was formed under the leadership of senior superintendent gops gavender this team was tasked with investigating the murders examining the evidence and identifying any connections between the earlier and more recent crimes their goal was to finally bring the Sleepy Hollow killer to Justice and lock him up behind bars in 2008 police arrested a 30 2-year-old man in impoy for the murder of a woman near hock her body was found in a forest with signs that supported the idea that the culprit may have been the Sleepy Hollow killer despite initial suspicions the police later stated that there was no conclusive evidence linking this suspect to the Sleepy Hollow murders leaving the case unresolved and the true identity of the killer unknown 3-year-old William trell vanished on September 12th 2014 from his foster grandmother's home in Kendall New South Wales Australia this case has gone on to become one of the most high-profile missing person cases in the country on the morning of his disappearance William was playing hideand-seek with his sister in the yard of his foster grandmother's house his foster mother stepped inside briefly to make a cup of tea and when she returned William was gone that day he was wearing his beloved Spider-Man costume immediately his family rushed out in search of him and when neighbors saw them frantically run around they stepped out and asked what was wrong after being informed about the missing boy the neighbors also assisted in the search the search for William was extensive involving hundreds of volunteers local residents the state emergency service sees the rural fire service and the New South Wales police they searched through dense Bushland creeks and nearby properties but despite their exhaustive efforts over 9 days no trace of William was found in response to Williams disappearance the New South Wales police established Strike Force Rosanne to lead the investigation this dedicated task force included 14 detectives and analysts working full-time on the case over the years they identified over 700 Persons of Interest and gathered more than 4,000 pieces of potential evidence but the investigation faced numerous challenges and dead ends at first the case was looked at as a possible abduction but the investigation's focus shifted over time in November 2021 the police publicly stated that they were searching for Williams remains indicating they believed he had likely died this shift led to renewed searches around the Kendall property and surrounding areas but they did not uncover any significant Clues Williams foster parents became a point of Interest by not only officials but by the public as well their identities are protected by law but they have denied being responsible for the boy's Disappearance in April 2022 they were charged with giving false or misleading information during a crime commission hearing about William's disappearance despite these charges they maintained their innocence and continue to urge the police to search for William in 2023 significant developments occurred the police recommended charges against William's Foster mother suggesting she may have covered up an accidental death detectives believe William might have fallen from a balcony and his foster mother allegedly disposed of his body to cover up the incident but to be very clear this is simply a theory and does not have any concrete evidence to support it as of now however those that like to lean into this possibility bring up the fact that she pleaded guilty in court in 2023 for assaulting a different child the case has attracted significant media attention and public interest various theories and suspects have been proposed and investigated over the years for example convicted offender Frank Abbott was a focus of the investigation for a time with several witnesses claiming he had knowledge about William's disappearance however no inclusive evidence has linked him or anyone else to the case as of right now the whereabouts of William his status and who was responsible are all unknown so I remember seeing this image years ago like when I was a child and I thought this was some hoax but I guess not or I guess it's still possible that it is a hoax anyway Puma refers to this massive snake that was reported to have been seen in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and like I said I've always thought that this was proven to be a hoax I've seen a lot of people saying that the snake in the image is actually super tiny and that the surface it's on is actually just some small desert model Pina is said to be anywhere from 40 to 50 ft in length and it is said to resemble a particular species of python in Africa but even the largest pythons in the world rarely exceed 30 ft I believe the longest ever officially recorded is about 32 to 33 ft now out of all the mysteries on this Iceberg I think that this is actually one of the more believable ones especially amongst the crypted entries I really do not doubt that there's some genetic freak of a Python living out there somewhere where there's zero Civilization now that image you saw at the start was captured in August of 1959 by a mechanic simply known as Kint he was in a helicopter with a Belgian pilot named Remy Von leeri according to Remy he saw the python when he flew over katanga which is a region of of the Congo Remy was quoted saying as we had a camera on board I decided to make several passes over the hole at where the snake was in able to let the man take a picture of it and I made between four and six passes right over the hole where the snake was in by then I was already flying for 25 years so I have a very good experience of measuring things and I would say the snake I saw there was close to 50 ft the Wednesday Strangler is the name given to an unidentified serial killer from Japan whose Reign lasted from 1975 to 1989 six of the seven victims went missing on Wednesday hence the name all of them were women and none of them were found alive the bodies of the fifth 6th and seventh victims were found a group together in kagata in 1989 the identity of the murderer remains unknown and the statue of limitations expired for four out of the seven murders the murders took place in kagata shiroi and K shasu in The Saga prefecture the first victim was a 12-year-old middle schooler who was all alone at home on August 27th 1975 her body would remain undiscovered for nearly half a decade in June of 1980 some workers opened up the septic tank of a toilet at an elementary school in shiroi to reveal the lifeless body of the victim the second victim was 20 years old and lived in shoi as well she disappeared on April 12th 1980 and was also found in a septic tank on on June 24th of the same year now I do want to be clear I am not sure if this is the same location as the previous victim that we went over the text that I read was translated and as you all probably know a lot of times the translations can be skewed and provide inaccurate or vague information but anyways the second victim was the only one who was not abducted on a Wednesday the third woman to disappear was also a resident of shiroi and worked in a factory they went missing on October 27th 1981 at the age of 27 just 2 weeks after her disappearance she was found strangled to death at a vacant lot in nakaba the fourth victim was abducted on February 17th 1982 and was just 11 years old her body was found the very next day strangled to death on July 8th 1987 another woman was killed she was a 48-year-old restaurant employee and was found at the base of a cliff in kagata on January 27th 1989 and if you recall at the beginning I mentioned men that the fifth sixth and seventh victims were all found together at that exact Cliff location were also the bodies of a 50-year-old housewife and a 37-year-old office worker both of whom were from Kagawa in November of 1989 there was a 26-year-old man held in prison who wrote a letter confessing to these murders but not long after issuing that letter he took it all back saying that it wasn't actually true but regardless he was taken to court and charged just 6 hours before the statue of limitations expired for one of the murders however the man was deemed not guilty due to a lack of evidence the judge also claimed that the police had influence the prisoner to write a letter confessing to the crimes just for the sake of charging someone it was February 2nd 2009 when a woman named Christine Ross was walking her dog in West Mesa in the Albuquerque area as they were walking her dog eventually started showing signs of agitation embarked in a certain direction Christine allowed her dog to lead her and that's when it brought back a bone that looked almost like a human femur that's because it was a human femur Christine took a picture of it and sent it to her sister who was a nurse she told Christine that she needed to call the police immediately police investigated the area and over the following month they discovered additional remains initially they thought that they had the remains of 13 different victims but this was later reduced to 11 the victims were all women or girls with the youngest two being 15 years and most if not all of them were of Hispanic desent they all went missing around 2003 to 2004 Monica candalaria went missing in May 2003 Dorene Marquez in October 2003 and the following victims went missing in 2004 Veronica Romero in February 15-year-old Jamie burella and cousin Evelyn Salazar in March Sania Edwards in May Virginia Cloven in June cinnamon Elks in July Julie Neato in August pregnant Michelle Valdez in September and then Victoria Chavez however it isn't exactly known when she went missing in 2004 in 2005 a detective investigating one of these cases named AA Lopez began to notice similarities and linked several missing person's cases together apparently when cinnamon was still alive she was telling people about a crooked cop that was killing and burying in women on the West Mesa then just weeks after she started spreading these rumors she disappeared Julie neato's family said they heard similar rumors and they along with two of Julie's friends reported Julie missing Julie was also talking about these supposed burials on the West Mesa detective Lopez began to group all of these names together and she ended up with over two dozen names some of the other victims whose remains were not found but were on Lopez's list were Darlene hiio Christine Julian Anna vigil felipa Gonzalez nah Heron shantella Waits and Leah peaze no one has ever been convicted of these crimes but there remains a list of notable suspects one of these suspects was a man named Lorenzo Montoya who died in 2006 he was murdered by the boyfriend of a 19-year-old dancer that he killed Montoya has been a person of interest for quite some time as they obtained an audio clip where it sounded as though Montoya was duct taping garbage bags furthermore he was frequently in the middle of other assault cases involving women another suspect was Joseph bla aka the McKinley Middle School most investigators paid Joseph no mind in regards to the case of the bones but his DNA was discovered on some clothing found with them he was also known for stalking escorts in the night and taking advantage of them he is currently in prison serving a 90-year sentence and refuses to speak on the West Mesa case the case of Herman Emanuel funkum also referred to as the unknown person remains one of the strangest and most convoluted immigration cases in Canadian history funkum who has been in detention since 2013 has used multiple aliases and fraudulent identities making it nearly impossible for authorities to determine his true identity on October 28th 2012 Herman Emanuel funkum arrived in Montreal Canada from Cuba using a French passport he claimed to have attended a wake for his girlfriend's sister in Cuba however it was later determined by officials that the man had a fake passport funkum had checked into a Days in Hotel under a different name and had $33,000 in a Montreal bank account he was granted a 10-day travel visa however he overstayed shortly after his arrival funkum quickly got involved in criminal activities he and his associates started contacting people via online real estate advertisements this was the start of what is known as a black money scam in this victims are basically tricked into transferring money under the guise that it's a payment in order to clean it on April 9th 2013 Fun's criminal activities were discovered by authorities leading to his arrest by the Toronto Police Service he was implicated in defrauding a local property manager out of $450,000 the scam involved convincing the victim that they had a large sum of stained money from South Africa which required a special chemical to clean funkum and his team fled with the money but he was later apprehended upon his arrest he was found to be using the Alias Hermon Emanuel funkum and claimed to be a French national funkum was charged with two counts of Fraud and one count of personation these charges were later suspended and he was transferred to the central East Correctional Center by the Canada Border Services Agency for deportation proceedings fun maintained that he was a French national and insisted on facing trial for the fraud charges to clear his name during his initial immigration hearing he claimed to live in England and repeatedly requested diplomatic assistance from France however when French diplomats arrived he refused to meet with them which just made the entire situation all the more confusing throughout his detention funkum was very uncooperative he refused to provide fingerprints or photographs and he declined to attend over 50 detention review hearings over 4 and A2 years during these hearings which are mandatory to determine if a person can be safely released funkum often displayed disruptive behavior investigations into his identity revealed that the name Herman Emmanuel funkum was associated with multiple acts of fraud all around Europe French authorities discovered that the birth certificate he used was also fake and part of a larger fraudulent document ring further investigations linked him to various identities in Germany Britain and Cameroon but none of these identities could be verified authorities just struggled to determine his true Origins German authorities had records of fingerprints matching those of fonum but the details were sealed the German connection suggested involvement in illegal activities there as well but specifics were not disclosed in the UK records indicated that fanm under another Alias had been involved in criminal activities as well he had previously been convicted of Fraud and had served time in British prisons British immigration records from 2007 showed that he admitted to being from Cameroon during an interview although this claim was inconsistent with other statements he made despite his claims of cameroonian origin authorities in Cameroon could not find any records matching his known aliases investigations in Cameroon included interviews and local inquiries but they yielded no concrete evidence linking him to anyone in the country but while the man's true identity is still unknown most investigators seem to believe that he really is from Cameroon fonum speaks French fluently often with an accent suggesting Central African origins his proficiency in French along with his knowledge of cameroonian culture makes this a possibility in June 2020 a mental health assessment concluded that funkum did not suffer from major mental illnesses but likely had paranoid personality disorder and delusional disorder in 2018 the immigration and Refugee board unexpectedly ordered Fun's release however this decision was overturned by the federal court of Canada the court described Fun's conduct as manipulative stating that he seemed to view the legal proceedings as a game where he directed the actions of Canadian authorities as of 2024 Herman Emanuel funkum remains detained in a maximum security facility in Canada he is now the longest serving detainee on immigration charges in Canadian history despite extensive efforts by Canadian authorities and international agencies Fun's true identity remains undetermined and he still resists cooperating with officials on the evening of October 12th 1978 the quiet community of Palm Springs California became the site of a horrifying crime the brutal murders of Edward friendley AKA Ed his wife Sophia friendley and their maid Francis Williams shocked the nation and remains unsolved to this day the following morning on October 13th 1978 the friendly residence was eerily quiet the family's pool maintenance worker arrived to clean the pool but noticed something strange through the kitchen window he saw what appeared to be a body lying in a pool of blood alarmed he immediately contacted the police and authorities were not prepared for what was waiting behind the door inside the bodies of the friendlies and their maid were found in different locations all of them were taken out by a firearm Sophia friendly was discovered first lying in the hallway suggesting she was trying to flee Francis Williams the maid was found in the kitchen Ed friendly was found slumped in a chair in his office where the television was still on unlike the pre two victims who each had one wound Ed had two wounds from the firearm the immediate investigation focused on the relationship within the friendly household and potential motives for the murders despite the disarray which included scattered papers and turned out Pockets robbery was quickly ruled out no valuables were missing and $400 in cash was left untouched this suggested a personal Vendetta rather than a random act of violence Sophia Friendly's background provided several interesting leads she had previously been married to a man named Curtis wood Hutton he was a relative of the wealthy Hutton family known for their Fortunes in banking and the retail industry there were ongoing familial tensions particularly involving inheritance and trust funds Sophia's children from her first marriage had a contentious relationship with her exacerbated by Financial disputes and a lawsuit over the Family Estate one of the most crucial pieces of evidence found at the scene were the shell casings from a 45 caliber handgun investigators believe that the culprit was a professional the lack of forced entry reinforced this Theory however the absence of physical evidence such as fingerprints or DNA made it difficult to continue the investigation detectives explored various theories including the possibility that Ed Friendly's business dealings had made him enemies as a realtor and racetrack executive he had been involved in several high stakes Ventures some of which ended in litigation and financial loss it was speculated that someone from his past might have sought r venge however no concrete evidence was found exploring this Theory a significant part of the investigation focused on Sophia Friendly's family again Sophia was in the middle of a lot of familial drama that involved a lot of money detectives found that Sophia's relationship with her children Edward and Sophia Hutton wasn't great in fact it was pretty bad and this poor relationship was also a result of money Sophia's ex-husband Curtis Hutton had been a beneficiary of a substantial trust fund from his cousin in Barbara Hutton the terms of the trust specified that if Curtis died before Sophia she would inherit the money instead of it going to the children this detail led to suspicions that the children might have had a motive to eliminate Sophia to secure their inheritance but these suspicions were never supported with hard evidence as years passed without resolution the case gradually went cold however it remained a point of interest for unconventional investigators advances in forensic technology offered the possibility of new breakthroughs in particular the shell casings left at the scene were reexamined with modern ballistic analysis techniques though they have yet to lead to an arrest the have you been having strange dreams mystery is commonly believed to have started around 2020 but it can actually be traced back to around 2015 this mystery starts with these Eerie Flyers asking people if they've been having strange dreams there would also be a phone number requesting that you share the details of your dream this whole thing has evolved into a global Intrigue combining a bunch of different elements including urban legends and psychological phenomena again the first known instance of the have you been having strange dreams Flyers can be traced back to 2015 specifically to the wamit valley dream survey in Portland Oregon the Flyers appeared on Telephone polls Community boards and other public spaces the anonymity and simplicity of the Flyers pequ the interest of many onlookers prompt them to investigate what started in Portland quickly gained momentum and spread to other cities in the US at first the spread was pretty organic and concentrated but paired with social media these flyers eventually popped up in other countries as well calling the phone number on the Flyers connects the caller to an automated message system that prompts them to leave a description of their dream these recordings are collected but the identity of whoever is behind this remains unknown which just fueled even more speculation and Theory one Theory suggests that the Flyers are part of an elaborate art project this idea came from the mystery similarity to other known art installations and social experiments that explore human psychology and Collective Behavior artists often use public interventions to provoke thought and engage communities and the dream survey could be seen as a form of this type of art diving deeper into the psychology route some have suggested that this is a study that is attempting to understand dream patterns and their relation to the stress that Society causes this theory proposes that there are researchers who are interested in how external factors such as economic uncertainties or Health crisis influence the content and frequency of people's dreams the timing of the survey's Resurgence during the pandemic does make this Theory a bit more believable all of the various stresses that were caused during that time surely had an effect on people and may have even been observable in their dreams some believe the mystery could be a viral marketing campaign For an upcoming media project such as a film TV show or a video game similar things have been done in the past to build anticipation for a new product viral marketing often leverages curiosity and Word of Mouth to create hype and the dream survey fits this profile the have you been having strange dreams phenomenon is often compared to other internet driven urban legends such as the This Man mystery this man involves a flyer campaign asking if people have seen a particular face in their dreams and thousands of people around the world have come for forward claiming to have seen him both Mysteries use similar methods Anonymous flyers and a phone number or website for people to share their experiences the This Man mystery which started gaining attention in the mid to late 2000s involves an image of a man supposedly seen in Dreams by people all over the world the phenomenon was later revealed to be a hoax and a piece of Gorilla Marketing by an Italian marketer and sociologist named Andrea Nella the have you been having strange dreams mystery remains unsolved with its true purpose and Origins hidden in secrecy whether it is an art project psychological study viral marketing stunt or something else entirely the mystery has prompted widespread speculation and discussion so we are officially in layer five of the iceberg now and to start off we have the mysterious phone number 0888888888 this number associated with the Bulgarian mobile phone company mobel has become infamous due to the untimely deaths of its owners which is quite ironic since I've always recognized the number eight as good luck this string of deaths has led to the number being labeled as cursed and ultimately suspended by the carrier the first notable owner of the number was Vladimir gnov the CEO of Mobitel gnov was a respected man within his industry and played a significant role in the Bulgarian telecommunications field field unfortunately he died of cancer in 2001 at the age of 48 although his death was officially attributed to natural causes rumors circulated that his illness might have been caused by radioactive poisoning this then led to theories that business rivals may have been responsible for exposing gnov to the poisoning after gav's death the number was reassigned to Constantine dimitrov a notorious Bulgarian mafia boss dimitrov also known as samaveta was deeply involved in illegal substance trafficking in 2003 he was assassinated in the Netherlands while dining with his girlfriend demitro was gunned down by a Russian hitman allegedly due to conflicts over his Empire he was only 31 at the time of his death the phone numbers next and final known owner was Constantine dhev a real estate agent who was also involved in the same illegal business as dimitrov dhev was running a substantial Coke smuggling operation valued at 130 million in 2005 he was shot outside an Indian restaurant in Sophia he ended up dying almost immediately whether or not you believe in curses this third death solidified in the Public's mind that the number brought Misfortune and death following the deaths of these three individuals Mobitel suspended the number any attempts to call the number now result in a message stating that the phone is outside network coverage now to my knowledge Mobitel hasn't really revealed much as to the specifics behind why the number is no longer accessible they refuse to com comment on whether or not they themselves believe in the curse the recurring theme in the deaths of the owners of the phone number is their involvement in high stakes and dangerous business activities both dimitro and dhev had their hands deep in illegal activities their industry is notorious for its lethal rivalries and violent disputes grashof's death although officially due to cancer is also suspected to have been influenced by foul play Within the competitive business world and while it is tempting and thematically attractive to say that a curse caused these deaths a more rational explanation could be the high-risk Lifestyles and the dangerous circles in which these people involved themselves in Daniel Morgan a private investigator was brutally murdered on the night of March 10th 1987 his body was discovered in the car park of the Golden Lion Pub in cenum London with an axe in his head Morgan who was 37 years old at the time left behind a wife and two children as you would expect from that graphic detail I just provided the crime scene was pretty gruesome and because of that the case quickly attracted widespread media attention the initial investigation was marred by significant procedural errors and alleged corruption key aspects of the crime scene were also mishandled the crime scene was not properly secured critical forensic evidence was either overlooked or not properly attended to significantly delaying the investigation additionally basic investigative steps such as verifying aliis and securing witness statements were neglected this negligence is what fueled rumors of internal corruption and collusion from the early days of the investigation allegations of police corruption began to surface Daniel Morgan Had reportedly been investigating claims of police corruption and was possibly on the verge of exposing illicit activities involving his business partner Jonathan Reese and others these circumstances led to the public believing that Morgan's murder was a calc ated move to silence him over the years the case saw several investigations and attempts at prosecution all of which failed in response to Growing concerns about corruption the Hampshire constabulary was brought in to reinvestigate the case however their efforts were compromised by the involvement of senior met officers this just further intensified the accusations of a coverup in 2009 Jonathan ree along with Glenn and Gary vien was charged with Morgan's murder however the trial fell apart in 201 11 due to a series of prosecutorial missteps including the non-disclosure of crucial documents and the unreliability of key Witnesses in 2013 an independent panel was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding Morgan's murder and the subsequent handling of the case the panel's final report published in June 2021 delivered a glaring indictment of the Met's conduct the report accused the Met of institutional corruption highlighting how the force prioritized its reputation over the the pursuit of Justice it noted a consistent pattern of obfuscation and denial of investigative failures which had significantly hampered the case in 2023 the Met issued an official apology to Morgan's family and agreed to a significant compensation settlement the family received A2 million euro payout and met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley publicly apologized for not being able to bring Justice to Morgan's case Agatha Christie is the name of a woman who mysteriously disappeared in December of 1926 Agatha Christie was a best-selling novelist known for her detective fiction she vanished for 11 days sparking a nationwide manhunt by 1926 Agatha Christie was already a well-known author in the writing world having produced several successful titles but despite her professional success Christie's personal life wasn't exactly the best earlier that year Agatha's mother Clara Miller had passed away and understandably this shattered Agatha's World additionally Agatha's marriage with her husband Archie seemed to be falling apart Archie had been having an affair with a young woman named Nancy Neil at the time Nancy was working as his secretary in August 1926 Archie requested a divorce but Agatha refused Agatha wanted to compromise and try to salvage the marriage on December 3rd 1926 Agatha and Archie had a heated argument at their home in Sunningdale Berkshire following the argument Archie left to spend the weekend with friends including his affair partner Nancy later that night Agatha left their home but before leaving she left behind a note for her secretary stating that she was going to Yorkshire to collect herself and rest the next morning Agatha's car a Morris cowy was found abandoned near a chalk Quarry at Newlands Corner Sur the car was discovered with its headlights on inside the following items were found an expired driving license clothes and a suitcase the circumstance in which the car was found made authorities believe that Agatha was in danger the search for Agatha Christie quickly became a nationwide effort over a thousand police officers along with volunteers scoured the surrounding areas blood hounds were brought in to track her scent and nearby bodies of water including a local Lake known as the silent pool were also searched despite these efforts no trace of Agatha was found various theories about her disappearance began to circulate ranging from to kidnap in to Foul Play given her Fame as a mystery writer Some speculated that she might have staged her own disappearance as a publicity stunt on December 14th 1926 a significant breakthrough occurred an employee at the Swan hydropathic Hotel in herriet Yorkshire reported to the police that a guest resembling Agatha Christie had checked in under the name Teresa Neil claiming to be from South Africa and if you recall the woman Archie was having an affair with had the last name Neil when the police arrived at the hotel with with Archie they found Agatha calmly reading a newspaper in the dining room despite her name being plastered on the front pages she appeared oblivious to the attention surrounding her disappearance Archie approached Agatha but she seemed to not recognize him in fact she seemed shocked and scared at what was happening to her at that moment Agatha was taken back to her home where investigators started asking her some questions she claimed to have no memory of the past 11 days it was later suggested that this may have been because Agatha was in a fugue which is a rare form of Amnesia triggered by severe emotional stress or trauma two doctors who examined her agreed with this diagnosis noting that she appeared to have suffered a complete loss of memory when it came to her identity and life history and this is also the most commonly believed Theory to explain Agatha's situation her emotional turmoil following her mother's death and her husband's infidelity likely caused this mental breakdown some Skeptics have suggested that Agatha orchestrated her disappearance as a public stunt to boost Book Sales however this theory is often shot down since Agatha as a person didn't really like attention and being in the public eye furthermore her extreme distress seemed genuine another theory pauses that Agatha intended to punish Archie for his infidelity by staging her disappearance and causing him public embarrassment alternatively she might have been looking for a temporary escape from her troubled life remember Agatha did tell her secretary that she wanted to rest before disappearing her choice of the name Teresa Neil and her destination where she and Archie had spent Happy Times lend some credibility to this Theory following her return Agatha and Archie Christie attempted to reconcile But ultimately they still separated they divorced in 1928 and Archie married Nancy Neil shortly thereafter Agatha later remarried in 1930 to an archaeologist named Max malaan despite the event Agatha's career continued to thrive and she went on to produce more successful titles Ben Nevis the highest peak in the British Isles stands at 1,344 M or 4,49 ft above sea level located in Scotland this mountain is frequented by hikers climbers and nature enthusiasts however Ben Nevis is also known for a more eerie reason other than its beauty according to numerous climbers and hikers they can hear screams from the top of the mountains reports of the screams have been observed for years the most notable incident involving the mysterious screams occurred on February 12th 2015 several climbers reported hearing a blood curdling scream while on the mountain this led to a search operation by the lockaber Mountain Rescue Team who scoured the area for any signs of distress or an accident but found nothing unusual the climbers were left puzzled and what caused the scream went unexplained one of the most plausible explanations for the screams is the natural interaction between the wind and the mountains terrain the Rocky outcrops and deep gullies of Ben Nevis can create unique acoustic effects causing the wind to produce sounds that might resemble human screams this phenomenon is not unique to Ben Nevis and has been observed in other mountainous regions around the world another natural explanation suggests animal sounds for instance the mating calls of foxes or the cries of deer can sound eerily similar to human screams these sounds can travel long distances and become distorted by the wind creating an illusion of a scream the idea of Supernatural involvement is primarily fueled by local folklore the bansi is a female Spirit whose whale is set to foretell death this figure is prevalent in both Irish and Scottish mythology the Banshee is known for her mournful scream which traditionally signifies an impending death in the family some locals and climbers believe that the screams might be linked to the spirits of those who have died on the mountain Ben nevas has claimed that numerous lives over the years and some use the victim spirits to explain the screams however others suggest that the screams may just be an example of mass hysteria when one person reports hearing a scream others might become more attuned to sounds that they would normally dismiss leading to a collective experience of Screams Brandon Embry born in 1986 was a Navy veteran his friends and family described him as curious yet introverted during High School Brandon discovered the world of bodybuilding and instantly became hooked after graduating in 2004 he joined the Navy and served on a nuclear submarine after his honorable discharge he pursued school to become a pharmacist but later found himself in robotics by August 2018 Brandon had moved to Ashboro North Carolina to be closer to his family while working in Charlotte on September 10th 2019 Brandon's family lost contact with him his mother and sister concerned by the lack of communication went to his apartment on September 12th to make sure he was okay but after failing to get a response they called the police authorities arrived around 3:20 p.m. and found Brandon unresponsive naked in a pool of water from an overflowing bathtub the apartment was in disarray which suggested that there was a struggle despite being rushed to the hospital Brandon succumbed to his injuries the next day a doctor named lawren C Scott conducted the initial autopsy and concluded that Brandon died from pneumonia which was made worse by Hy pensive cardiovascular disease the report pointed out multiple injuries including bruises and lacerations but categorized them as superficial and likely self-inflicted during a state of psychosis Dr Scott did state that this conclusion was based partly on the condition of the apartment which appeared ransacked and the lack of forced entry Brandon's family vehemently disagreed with the autopsy findings they argued that the injuries were caused by someone else they pointed out that Brandon had no history of psychosis and had consistently pass substance test required for his job Additionally the crime scene showed blood evidence and significant damage to the apartment's interior they suspected Foul Play and criticized investigators for overlooking key evidence while he may not have had a history of psychosis Brandon did have a history of other health issues including low testosterone which he had hormone shots for Brandon also suffered from sleep apnea and had a CPAP machine then earlier in 2019 Brandon had experienced several ser ious Health scares including acute respiratory distress and kidney failure which required hospitalization however despite these Health scares Brandon was generally considered robust and healthy the investigation faced significant criticism for its handling of forensic evidence and procedural conduct Dr Scott did not visit the crime scene but instead only received details in writing this absence is often cited as the reason for Dr Scott coming to his conclusion for the injuries furthermore the police quickly closed the case declaring in it in accidental death without thoroughly investigating alternative possibilities the family proposed several theories suggesting that Brandon was involved in an altercation with an unknown as salant clumps of dark hair found in the apartment along with witness reports of Brandon arguing with a dark-haired man shortly before his death were not thoroughly investigated the family also speculated that Brandon might have been poisoned possibly with antifreeze as some of his symptoms were consistent with poisoning however the autopsy found no trace of anti-freeze although the presence of certain crystals in his kidneys did support the idea that Brandon had been poisoned before Brandon's autopsy report was later amended there was now a detailed analysis revealing numerous blunt force injuries to his torso significant bruising abrasions and lacerations on his face neck and extremities several of the wounds appear to have been defensive it was looking more and more clear that Brandon may very well have been assaulted the investigation by the as B Police Department was criticized by the public for its quick conclusion and perceived biases investigators initially stated that Brandon had taken hard illegal substances and had destroyed his apartment in a psychosis but then Brandon's family provided evidence of Brandon's clean substance test and his controlled use of prescribed medications the family also noted inconsistencies in the police reports and the selection of evidence that was shared with medical officials Brandon's family pushed for a reinvestigation in response the mayor requested Ed an internal affairs investigation into the handling of the case in February 2021 this review aimed to address the procedural flaws and potential oversights the family hoped that a fresh perspective might uncover new evidence or lead to a more thorough investigation into the circumstances of Brandon's death Coral Castle located in Homestead Florida is one of the more interesting structures in the world built by Edward Leeds Colin a lavian immigrant this structure has fascinated Engineers historians and tourists for decades the Intrigue surrounding Coral Castle lies in its construction Leeds Colin claimed to have built it alone using only rudimentary tools Edward Leeds Colin was born on January 12th 1887 in lvia little is known about his early life but it is believed that he immigrated to the United States in the early 1920s after being dumped by his fiance Agnes scuffs just before their wedding Leeds colan dedicated his life to creating Coral Castle which he often referred to as rockgate park again the most puzzling aspect of Coral Castle is its construction leit Colin worked alone mostly at night to carve and position over 1,100 tons of Coral Rock some of the stones weighed up to 30 tons yet lead Colin managed to move and position them with Incredible Precision despite extensive research the exact methods he used remain unknown lead call did hint at using basic concepts of physics he even said once that he used the same secrets that allowed for the pyramids to be constructed some of the key features of the castle include the nine-ton gate the sun dial stone furniture the Tower and the stone map of Florida Leed colan's motivation to build Coral Castle is often said to be his heartbreak over Agnes scuffs whom he referred to as his sweet 16 some believe that the castle was a monument to display his love While others simply think it was his way of showcasing his engineering skills theories as to how Leeds colan built the castle varied some suggested practical engineering While others went as far as to say he had help from Aliens then when you take a look at his notes and writings he hints at magnetism this has led some people to think that anti-gravity and magnetic fields may have been involved the black demon shark is a creature rumored to be lurking in the depths of the Gulf of California known for its immense size and scary appearance this Cryptid has spurred numerous eyewitness accounts and numerous theories attempting to explain its existence the black demon shark is described as an enormous black colored shark measuring up to 60 ft or 18 m in length this shark is said to exhibit aggressive behavior often attacking boats the first notable reports of the black demon shark were made in the early 2000s fishermen and sailors in the Gulf of California shared encounters with a gigantic menacing shark larger than any known species the most plausible explanation for the black demon shark sightings is of course misidentification experts suggest that known large shark species such as the whale shark or the great white shark could be mistaken for this crypted environmental factors like lighting conditions water Clarity and the natural fear of the unknown May contribute to an exaggerated description of the animal a more sensationalized Theory suggests that the black demon shark could be a surviving Megalodon which is a prehistoric shark believed to have gone extinct around 2.6 million years ago this Theory while fun lacks any evidence and is largely dismissed by the scientific community in the winter of 1692 the small community of Salem Village Massachusetts became the stage for one of history's most infamous examples of mass hysteria the Salem Witch Trials but of course some people believe that there was more to this event other than Mass hysteria at the heart of this were two young girls Abigail Williams and Betty Paris whose mysterious ailments and accusations led to immense fear and Superstition Abigail Williams and 11-year-old girl lived in the household of her uncle Reverend Samuel Paris Reverend Paris was a strict and influential figure within the community whose sermons often spoke of sin and the devil's work due to the culture of this small Society Abigail felt a bit of ress so to speak the strict expectations and constant religious scrutiny likely contributed to her behavior during the witch trials Elizabeth Betty Paris age n was Reverend paris's daughter like her cousin Abigail Betty was raised in a very religious environment that also feared the supernatural her young and impressionable mind became one of the first to display the troubling symptoms that would kick off the Witchcraft hysteria this is often said to have been Betty looking for an outlet in such a repressive community in January of 1692 Abigail and Betty began exhibiting bizarre and disturbing behaviors that baffled everyone they screamed uncontrollably contorted their bodies and hurled objects across the room they claimed to have this prickly feeling on their skin and complained of biting Sensations all over their bodies these symptoms led the local physician Dr William Griggs to a conclusion that most today would find comical the girls were Bewitched under intense pressure to identify the source of their torment Abigail and Betty named three women as being responsible TBA Sarah good and Sarah Osborne TBA was a slave in the Paris household her cultural background and storytelling about folk magic made her a convenient Target under duress she actually confessed to practicing Witchcraft and implicated others claiming that she and other women were in contact with the devil Sarah good was a woman who was said to have a short temper and appeared disheveled which also made her a believable Target at the time as for Sarah Osborne she was getting old and due to her declining Health she stopped attending church regularly this led some members of the community to believe that she had new beliefs these initial accusations set off a chain reaction with more girls and young women in Salem and neighboring communities exhibiting similar symptoms and naming supposed witches now I think most people are probably just going to say that the girls were simply lying to have fun but there are a lot of people believing that something truly Supernatural was occurring the reasons behind Abigail and Behavior have been the subject of intense speculation and debate for centuries several theories have been proposed to explain the mysterious symptoms and subsequent accusations one of the most widely accepted theories is that the symptoms were a manifestation of mass hysteria the intense religious environment combined with the fear of the devil and the pressures of a repressive Society may have triggered a collective psychological response the girl's Behavior could have been a way to express repressed emotions or gain attention and Power in a society where young girls or women in general had little power and control their sudden importance in The Witch Trials where their words held the power of life and death might have been too much to handle this newfound attention could have perpetuated and intensified their behaviors some historians have suggested that the symptoms exhibited by Abigail Betty and others were caused by ergotism Urgot is a fungus that grows on rye and other grains it can be utilized in such a way that it has a similar effect as LSD consuming bread made from contaminated grain could cause hallucinations convulsions and other physical symptoms another medical theory is that the girls might have suffered from incili an inflammation of the brain that can cause delirium hallucinations and seizures by the time the hissteria subsided in September 1692 19 people died by a rope one man pressed to death with heavy stones and many others imprisoned and apparently the fate of Abigail Williams and Betty Paris after the trials is unknown for the most part historical records about their later lives don't provide much information the legend of the dunavin Hooter is rooted in the early 20th century where it was shared amongst workers in the lumber industry like many folklore creatures the dunavin Hooter served as a cautionary tale it was a way to explain the unexplainable the monster with 21 faces was the moniker given to a group that blackmailed several Japanese companies during the mid1 1980s one of these companies is isaki gleo which was an International Food Company in Osaka who produced various products including famous candies such as POI The Story begins in the middle of March 1984 with the president of isaki gleo katsuhisa isaki resting at home isaki decided that he wanted to take a bath before going to bed just next door was isak's mother who lived by herself right as she was preparing to head to bed two unidentified men in ski masks broke into her home at 9:00 p.m. brandishing guns fearing for her life isak's mother listened to all of their requests she was tied up and left in a location where the two men knew she couldn't escape isak's mother suspected that the men just wanted money but no instead they had no intentions to harm the woman or take her money all they wanted was a key to the house next door her son's house where he lived with his wife and three kids using the key the men burst into the home and tied up isak's wife and daughter before scouring the home in search of isaki himself as for the other two children they were fast asleep and the two men did not bother subduing them yuzaki was found in the bathroom and he immediately tried to fight the men off but he quickly calmed down after being told that his family wouldn't be harmed as long as he listened to them they LED isaki outside and into a vehicle nearby where they raced off into the night the next day a ransom note was found in a phone booth near the isaki household that demanded a payment of 1 billion yen or over $6.5 million today Additionally the abductors demanded over a million USD worth of gold bullion then just a few days after isak's abduction isaki found his way back to his home he was able to escape from a warehouse in the Osaka city of ibaraki where isaki claimed he was being held police questioned isaki but he didn't really have much information to provide he was able to lead a authorities back to where he came from and after searching the warehouse there weren't any clues leading to the identity of the culprits isaki informed police that a cover was placed over his head for the majority of the time and that the kidnappers told him his 8-year-old daughter was with them which was a lie over the course of hours isaki was able to loosen the Rope bindings around his wrists and ultimately Break Free furthermore he said that he believed the culprits were only using toy guns after his Escape The Mysterious group made their next move move on April 10th 1984 the group set fire to a number of vehicles in the isaki gleo company parking lot which was later followed by a second fire and less than a week after that first fire the group sent a package with a container of hydrochloric acid to the company inside that same package was a letter which said to the stupid police are you idiots if you were Pros you would catch us because you guys have such a high handicap we're going to give you some hints the letter then stated the color of the vehicle that carried away isaki it was gray they also said that they shopped at a well-known Supermarket franchise near the area before threatening to kidnap the head of police this was the first time the group acknowledged themselves as the monster with 21 faces after sending out this letter the group known as the monster with 21 faces began threatening several other companies with similar letters not only that they stated that they had laced several glyco products with potassium cyanide the food company was forced to recall all of its products which total to well over $20 million the group continued issuing letters to the companies and police one of which said Dear dumb police officers don't tell a lie all crimes begin with a lie as we say in Japan don't you know that you thought you could fool us dressed in your nice businessman's blue suits acting like salary men but those Shifty eyes gave you away another letter also addressed to the police read why don't you keep it to yourself you seem to be at a loss so why not let us help you we'll give you a clue we entered the factory by the front gate the typewriter we use is pan Rider the plastic container used was a piece of Street garbage this was referencing the package containing the acid there was one moment where authorities believed that they had identified one of the members of the group a camera had captured a man wearing a Yumi urri Giants baseball hat in a convenience store he was seen stocking shelves with gleo candy but after releasing this footage to the public and urging people to come forward with info the man was never identified in a shocking turn of events the monster with 21 faces seemed to have called off their attacks on June 26 1984 a new letter was received by the Press which was addressed to our fans throughout Japan the letter said the president of gleo has already gone around with his head hanging down long enough we would like to forgive him Japan has gotten terribly hot and humid so when our work is done we want to go to Europe Geneva Paris London we'll be in one of those places let's bring Pocky the Traveler's friend delicious glyco products were eating them too see you in January of next year while this letter made it seem as though the group was ready to retire they were simply shifting their focus from gleo elsewhere the other companies that they began targeting included morinaga house foods and marudai Ham around the same time when they announced that they would stop harassing gleo they told marudi that they'd also leave them alone if they paid a $250,000 Ransom the police police came up with a plan where an officer would meet up with a member of the monster with 21 faces to exchange the cash on January 28th 1984 an officer disguised as a marudi employee took a train to Kyoto he was told to look for a white flag and as soon as he saw it he was supposed to toss the cash outside on the train this officer recalled a suspicious looking man watching him the entire time this mysterious figure was large with short hair glasses and eyes that resembled a fox the office continued to keep his eyes focused on the outside in order to catch the White Flag but it never popped up when the train reached Kyoto the officer got off and took the next train back to Osaka the fox eyed man did the same on the way back to Osaka the officer informed his peers that there was a man tailing him and to keep track of him when they got off at Osaka but when they got there the foxy man was lost they couldn't identify him but at the very least police now had someone that they could call their part primary suspect the group continued to harass various companies and one botched operation led to the firing of Shoji Yamamoto who was a 59-year-old Police Superintendent in the Sha prefecture he felt immense shame due to this so on August 7th 1985 he lit himself on fire ultimately ending his own life then on August 12th 1985 the group sent what seemed to be their final letter Yamamoto of shika prefecture police died how stupid of him we've got no friends or secret hiding place in Shiga it's Yoshino or Shikata who should have died what have they been doing for as long as one year and 5 months don't let the bad guys like us get away with it there are many more fools who want to copy us no career Yamamoto died like a man so we decided to give our condolences we decided to forget about torturing food making companies if anyone blackmails any of these companies it's not us but someone copying us we are bad guys that means we've got more to do other than bullying companies it's fun to lead a bad man's life from that point on the group was never heard from again throughout the entirety of the investigation authorities have only ever released the name of one suspect that being manabu Miyazaki manabu was believed to be the foxy man about a decade prior to the harassment caused by the monster with 21 faces Miyazaki was at odds with the gleo company he was involved in various whistleblowing events within gleo and even supported a labor dispute there as well but he did provide a solid Alibi which virtually cleared him of any accusations the group did mention that they had other things to do besides bullying these companies so that made many investigators believe that perhaps this organization was much larger than they had originally thought on the morning of September 16th 1994 at the Ariel School in Rua Zimbabwe over 60 students reported seeing an un identified flying object and encountering mysterious beings during their break this incident is often referred to as the Rua UFO incident the witnesses primarily children between the ages of 6 and 12 stated that they saw a silver disc-shaped object hovering in landing in a field adjacent to their school the object was shiny and reflective almost glowing following its Landing the children reported seeing one or more beings emerge from the craft these beings had large eyes disproportionately large large heads and wore tight fitting black suits the children said that their eyes were almost like their way of communicating several children reported that the beings conveyed urgent messages about Environmental Conservation and Humanity's future the beings according to the children emphasized the need to protect the Earth and warned against the dangers of pollution and environmental degradation Dr John Mack a Harvard psychiatrist who later interviewed the children found these accounts of telepathic messages both fascinating and concerning Cynthia hind a US UFO researcher in Africa was the first to investigate the incident arriving shortly after the event She interviewed the children and collected drawings they made of the UFO and the beings she believed that the children's rural upbringing meant they had little exposure to Media portrayals of UFOs lending credibility to their accounts Dr John Mack arrived in Zimbabwe soon after hind he conducted thorough interviews with the children often in small groups to ensure the authenticity of their stories Mac known for his Research into alien abductions faced significant professional scrutiny for his beliefs but remained convinced that the children were speaking the truth Skeptics suggest that the incident might have been a case of mass hysteria influenced by extensive media coverage two days before the sighting a bright Fireball from the re-entry of the Zenit 2 rocket was visible over southern Africa this event widely reported in the media could have led to children to see any unusual occurrence as a UFO sighting in November 1985 a hunter discovered a 55g barrel in Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown New Hampshire inside were the remains of an adult woman and a young girl both had been beaten to death and the bodies were in advanced stages of decomposition this made identification extremely difficult this discovery kicked off a decades long investigation that went on to become one of the state's most notorious cases the bodies were wrapped in plastic and their state of decomposition suggested they had been there for a while despite the advanced State of Decay forensic experts were able to determine that the woman and the girl had suffered blunt force trauma to their heads which was the likely cause of death initial attempts to identify the victims through missing persons reports and local inquiries proved fruitless leaving investigators at a dead end the case was handled by local police who were soon joined by state investigators and the FBI investigator gors conducted extensive searches of the surrounding area hoping to find additional clues that could help identify the victims or the killer despite these efforts no further Evidence was immediately found and the case began to grow cold investigators collected what evidence they could including hair and fiber samples but these did not yield any significant leads composite sketches of the victims were created and spread around in hopes that someone might recognize them but no credible leads emerged 15 years later in May 2000 another Barrel was found near the same location this Barrel contained the remains of two young girls like the previous victims these remains were also severely decomposed it was determined that these victims had likely been killed around the same time as those found in 1985 the similarities in the condition and placement of the bodies suggested a connection between the two discoveries but the identities of the victims and the perpetrator remained unknown the second Discovery reignited interest in the case a local Detective conducting a training exercise noticed the second barrel and its contents which closely mirrored the first one the remains were similarly wrapped in plastic and showed signs of blunt force trauma this discovery prompted A Renewed investigation with authorities theorizing that the same perpetrator was responsible for both barrels investigators reviewed all cases of missing persons from the time period but were still unable to match the victims to any reported cases again due to the decomposition the victims were nearly impossible possible to identify dental records and fingerprints were not usable and the victim's faces were far too damaged by the early to mid 2000s advancements in DNA technology allowed forensic experts to re-examine the remains of the victims discovered in bearbrook State Park reexamination revealed that the woman and two of the girls found in the second Barrel were maternally related indicating they were likely a mother and her children however the second child from the first discovery was not related to them in 2017 genetic genealogist Barbara Ray Venter was enlisted to assist with the case using DNA samples from the victims Ray Venter was able to construct family trees that eventually led to the identification of the adult woman and the two related children the adult woman was identified as Marley's Elizabeth honey Church born in 1954 the two girls were her daughters Marie Elizabeth vau born in 1971 and Sarah Lynn mcwaters born in 1977 honey church and her daughters had last been seen in California in 1978 shortly after she began dating a man named Terry rasmason this identification provided crucial context and helped to piece together their final days further investigation revealed that Terry had led a life of crime he went by multiple aliases through his criminal career and investigators believed that Terry was likely the killer additionally Terry had been responsible for other murders in the past as well he had used the Alias Bob Evans while living in New Hampshire and was last seen with honey church and her daughters around Thanksgiving in 1978 his known aliases included Curtis Mayo Kimble Gordon Jensen and Lawrence Vanner his ability to assume new identities and integrate into different communities earned him the moniker the chameleon killer DNA testing confirmed that he was the biological father of the unidentified girl found in the second Barrel linking him directly to the crime further investigation into his background revealed a pattern of violence and deception that spanned several States and decades however despite the fourth victim being related to Terry her identity is still unknown it is also unclear who this girl's mother is this victim was not related to Honey church and her daughters investigators continued to seek information about her and her mother's identity hoping to finally shut the door on this case Charles Rogers was regarded as a rather mysterious man born in 1921 Rogers grew up in Houston Texas where he lived with his elderly parents Fred and edua Rogers at their home on Driscoll Street despite a seemingly normal upbringing Charles wasn't exactly normal himself he was highly intelligent having obtained a degree in nuclear physics after college he went on to serve in World War II where he learned to fly planes this particular detail would later fuel a number of theories regarding his disappearance after the war Rogers worked as a seismologist for Shell Oil Company for nearly a decade his co-workers and super visor stated that Rogers was incredibly smart and intuitive but he was also reclusive neighbors and even relatives noted that Rogers maintained minimal contact with his parents despite living under the same roof communication with his parents was so limited that he reportedly communicated with them primarily through notes slipped under his bedroom door this detail made Charles a rather peculiar individual on June 23rd 1965 Houston police were called to the Rogers residents for a welfare check after eda's nephew Marvin Martin expressed concern over not hearing from his aunt for several days upon arrival police officers Charles bulock and Ellen Barta found the house eerily silent and somewhat barricaded with flower pots suspicious they forced their way into the house and headed toward the kitchen where they made a discovery they would never forget in the refrigerator they found what initially appeared to be neatly stacked hog meat however after closer inspection the officers realized this was not hog meat instead these were the membered bodies of Fred and edua Rogers Fred had been bludgeoned with a hammer while edua had been shot the dismemberment was described as meticulous with organs removed and flushed down the toilet the couple's heads were also located in the drawers of the fridge but many other parts were never found investigators quickly shifted their focus toward Charles Rogers given his reclusive nature and the fact that he was nowhere to be found he became the prime suspect almost immediately the discovery of blood in his room and a bloodstained saw added to the mounting evidence against him investigators launched a nationwide manhunt searching airports and other possible Escape Roots but Rogers had vanished without a trace this disappearance led to rampant speculation and various theories regarding his whereabouts and involvement in the murders one of the primary theories about Charles Rogers centers on his mental health and the tumultuous relationship he had with his parents neighbors and relatives describe the Rogers household as dysfunctional with deep-seated conflicts that might have driven Charles to a Breaking Point Fred Rogers and edua Rogers were said to be manipulative and controlling there are claims that Fred was abusive towards Charles both emotionally and physically which may have continued into his adulthood edua was also implicated in financially exploitative behaviors such as taking out loans in Charles's name without his consent this manipulation extended to the point where Fred and edua allegedly siphoned off Charles's savings adding Financial strain to the emotional burden he carried Charles's reclusive nature might have been a coping mechanism for dealing with his parents Behavior living in the same house yet communicating through notes slipped under doors indicates a severe level of isolation some psychologists believe that such an extreme situation and continuous psychological pressure could contribute to severe mental health issues including depression anxiety and possibly worse conditions like schizophrenia or delusional disorder the theory suggests that the cumulative stress from a long term toxic relationship with his parents could have led Charles to a mental breakdown this breakdown combined with any underlying mental health issues might have driven him to take his parents' lives in an act of desperation and release from years of suffering due to the circumstances of the crime It is believed that Charles may have been having this idea in his head for quite some time despite exhaustive searches and investigations Charles Rogers was never found leading to widespread speculation that he successfully escaped and started a New Life under a different identity forensic accountants Hugh and Martha gardenier proposed that Rogers fled to Mexico and later to Honduras where he found work in the mining industry the gardeners suggest that Rogers expertise in geology and seismology along with his Connections in the oil and Mining Industries enabled him to secure employment in remote locations this would have provided him with the means to stay hidden and live off the grid according to their research Rogers was eventually killed in Honduras over a w dispute with miners his military training and survival skills Would Have Made It plausible for him to evade capture and navigate a new life in unfamiliar territories Additionally the clean escape and the lack of a trail suggest a high level of planning a trait consistent with Rogers background and alleged intelligence Connections in 1975 10 years after the murders a Houston judge declared Charles Rogers legally dead despite This legal closure the case remains unsolved and Rogers is still offici officially the prime suspect over the years the case has continued to attract interest from both the public and law enforcement with occasional new investigations and theories emerging but no definitive evidence has ever surfaced to conclusively solve the murders or determine Rogers fate there is even one theory that suggests Charles was a part of the CIA CAD huarez is Infamous for its high rates of violence against women particularly femicides the city's industrial boom attracted a large influx of female workers from poorer regions these women who often worked in grueling conditions with long hours and low pay became frequent targets of violence many were abducted and murdered while commuting to and from their jobs especially during early morning or late night shifts at its peak about 80% of the assembly line workers were women but this number has since declined in response to this violence Diana the hunter of bus drivers emerged in August 20133 as a vigilante this individual described by witnesses as a middle-aged woman with a dark complexion and blond hair targeted bus drivers who were believed to be responsible for the assaults against female passengers on consecutive days she boarded buses and shot two drivers on a route heavily used by female Factory workers after the murders of two bus drivers in CAD huarez local news outlets received an email from an individual claiming to be Diana in this email Diana described herself as a former victim of violence committed by bus drivers she explained that her actions were acts of Revenge not just for her own suffering but on behalf of many women who had endured similar violence the email criticized the authorities for their persistent inaction and failure to protect women from such events the murders instilled fear among bus drivers leading many to avoid work in the following days the police response involved launching an investigation which included placing undercover officers on buses and revisiting recent assault cases involving bus drivers despite these efforts Diana was never apprehended and her true identity remains unknown Mona Elizabeth blades born in 1957 was an 18-year-old woman living in Hamilton New Zealand she was known for being a responsible and agreeable teenager on the morning of May 31st 19 75 Mona planned a hitchhike from Hamilton to Hastings she intended to attend her nephew's first birthday however Mona never made it to the party instead she vanished on the day Mona disappeared she was wearing light green slacks a green rugby Jersey with a white collar a black duffel coat and brown shoes with yellow laces she also carried a brown bag and an old brown suitcase Mona set out on her journey early in the morning since the distance that needed to be traveled was quite long she was last seen on Mata Road getting into an orange doson 120 y station wagon driven by an unknown man the sighting was confirmed by multiple Witnesses including a truck driver who investigators relied on in the early stages of the investigation as it was a long weekend traffic on the roads was expected to be higher than usual the route Mona chose was a common one for travelers between Hamilton and Hastings and hitchhiking was not uncommon at the time that truck driver I mentioned reported seeing Mona accepting the ride from a man around 10:30 a.m. he described the driver as a man in his mid to late 30s with a medium build and dark hair further reports came from other Witnesses who saw the orange Dotson veering off the highway and stopping on Rural Mata Road the detailed description of the vehicle was widely publicized in the media and the police shifted their focus to locating Vehicles across the country that fit the description the New Zealand Police immediately launched one of the largest search operations in the country's history the search effort was vast involving over 500 officers from various regions including TPO Rotorua Hamilton and Auckland these officers comb through approximately 200 km of Highway stretching from tooa to Napier the search involved not only police officers but also volunteers from the local communities who scoured the rugged terrain and dense forests along the highway despite the efforts the search teams found no physical evidence or traces of Mona her belongings or the vehicle the search for vehicles fitting the description also proved fruitless authorities obtained over 500 potential suspects all of which were eliminated from the list nevertheless investigators believe this was their best lead which some have suggested caused officials to overlook other potential leads the lack of physical evidence made it extremely tough to progress the case investigators pretty much only had eyewitness accounts to work with and while those can be valuable they can also be unreliable since people naturally can incorrectly recall information one of the earliest and most notable suspects in the case was John Freeman Freeman came under police scrutiny because he had rented an orange doson during the weekend of blades's disappearance later on the suspicions surrounding Freeman grew shortly after the police publicly announced their interest in locating an orange Dodson Freeman was involved in a violent incident he shot and wounded a student at St cubert's College in Auckland and then took his own life despite these alarming events there was no concrete evidence directly linking Freeman to blades disappearance another individual who became a person of interest was Charlie Hughes a man from Hamilton who later relocated to Australia Hughes was identified based on circumstantial evidence and remained on police radar for quite a while he has publicly expressed frustration about being listed as a suspect consistently denying any involvement in the case Hughes even went on record in newspapers and on television to assert his innocence Charlie Hughes has also never been officially tied to Mona's disappearance in 2003 a new lead surfaced when a report emerged claiming that Mona Blade's name was found etched on a concrete garage floor in Huntley this discovery prompted renewed investigations as it was feared that the name might Mark a grave site however this lead turned out to be a dead end the name had been inscribed as a prank 6 years earlier and the former owner of the property apologized to Mona's family for the distress this caused new theories began to emerge As Time passed one particular Theory caught a lot of attention from the public this Theory suggested that Mona was somehow tied to gang activities it was proposed that Mona might have had associations with biker gangs in Auckland and Hamilton a documentary suggested that she could have encountered gang members while hitchhiking and they might have been involved in her disappearance this Theory pauses that gang members traveling to a gathering in Wellington during the holiday weekend could have crossed paths with Mona Witnesses had reported seeing gang members in the area at the time further more the documentary revealed that Mona had some affiliations with bikers which were not thoroughly looked into during the original investigation this same documentary titled Cold Case also spoke about how the orange doson was given way too much attention leaving a lot of other avenues unexplored for example it was reported that a red Toyota station wagon was seen traveling with a group of bikers on the day Mona went missing it's possible that this red vehicle was somehow tied to Mona but again investigators were dead set on finding an orange Dodson police were also criticized for using an outdated photo of Mona with a different hairstyle in the photo Mona had long curly hair but on the day she disappeared it was said that she had a shorter mullet style haircut Mount yamantau towering at approximately 1,640 M or 5,380 ft is the highest peak in the southern Ural Mountains located in cordan Russia this mountain has gained International attention due to the alleged underground bunker complex constructed beneath it this potential facility has spurred numerous theories and speculations over the years Mount yamantau also holds significant value to Russia's government the eural mountains have historically served as a natural barrier and a line of defense dividing the European and Asian parts of Russia this region particularly bash cour aan has been pivotal in Russia's military planning the area is also said to be frequently used for secret government projects but again what people are most intrigued about is a supposed bunker under mount Yow this facility is believed to be one of the largest and most sophisticated of its kind potentially spanning over 100 km in length and reaching depths of 600 M the complex is thought to be equipped with a variety of advanced systems designed to ensure survival and remain operational in case of a nuclear war its command and control centers are said to be nuclear proof the depth and design of the complex are said to withstand direct nuclear strikes ensuring that it can remain intact during a crisis to support long-term habitation the complex is rumored to include fully equipped hospitals which for obvious reasons would be essential they are likely to be equipped with Advanced Medical Technology and supplies ensuring complex health care for those who reside in it a self-sustaining power plant as well as a heavily fortified defense system are believed to be part of the Bunker's infrastructure there would also need to be food production facilities and water purification systems in place the existence of the bunker came to light primarily through US intelligence efforts during the 1990s satellite imagery revealed significant construction activities including extensive tunneling and the movement of large quantities of construction materials these observations combined with reports from local sources suggested that Russia was building a massive underground complex the US government raised concerns about the purpose of the complex suspecting it could serve as a command and control center for nuclear operations a storage site for nuclear weapons or a shelter for the Russian Elite in the event of a global catastrophe despite repeated inquiries Russian authorities provided limited and often conflicting explanations ranging from mining operations to a simple command post this lack of transparency only fueled further speculation and concern investigative journalists have continued to explore the mystery of Mount yamantau uncovering new Det details and reinforcing existing theories reports indicate that the bunker is part of a broader network of secret bunkers across Russia these bunkers allegedly stretching from Moscow to the urals include deep underground shelters and extensive tunnel systems some reaching depths of up to 200 M giant scuttles refer to large elusive squid-like creatures in the ocean and with most of these crypted entries I'm a bit skeptical but when the creature is said to have been seen in the water it's a different story giant scuttles are often compared to the Kraken and some even say that giant scuttles are what sparked the Kraken legend in the first place giant scuttles are rumored to be roaming near the Bahamas and other Caribbean islands a pearl diver once said that a giant octopus ran up to his boat but after failing to get a good grip on it it fled Legends say that the giant Scuttle is only a threat if it can wrap one of its tentacles around the boat while simultaneously getting another one inside the vessel in case you don't know this iceberg is pretty old so some of the cases on here have been solved this next one about Kristen smart is one such example but nevertheless I decided to include it anyway 19-year-old Kristen smart was described as vibrant and ambitious she was a freshman at California poly Technic State University in St Louis Obispo but vanished on May 25th 1996 Kristen studied architecture and was said to have a friendly nature on the night of her disappearance she attended an off-campus party which was a typical thing unfortunately this seemingly ordinary night ended in tragedy Kristen was last seen around at 2 a.m. walking back to her dormatory with fellow student Paul Flores they were accompanied by two other students initially but as the group near the dormitories Kristen and Paul were left alone according to reports Paul Flores offered to help Kristen back to her dorm because she was intoxicated and struggling to walk this was the last time anyone saw Kristen alive Kristen was reported missing to the campus police but the initial reaction from law enforcement was lackluster the police were slow to respond treating the case as a typical college student who had gone off the radar for a few days they did not immediately recognize the severity of the situation which cost a valuable time in the early stages of the investigation it wasn't until days later that the S Louis Obispo Sheriff's Office took over the investigation by then crucial evidence and potential Witnesses had become harder to track down law enforcement volunteers and Kristen's family conducted searches around the campus and surrounding areas caver dogs were brought in and even ground penetrating Radars were used on the off chance that Kristen had actually died but these efforts yielded no physical evidence Paul Flores the last person seen with Kristen quickly became a prime suspect his behavior following Kristen's disappearance raised immediate suspicions Paul had a black eye when he was first interviewed by the police initially he claimed he got the injury from playing basketball with friends but this story was quickly disputed by those friends he then changed his story saying he had bumped his head while working on his car further increasing the investigator's suspicions Paul's inconsistent statements and suspicious Behavior were not the only factors that made him a person of interest in the days following Kristen's disappearance several witnesses came forward with information that pointed toward him some reported seeing Paul acting strangely While others mentioned hearing disturbing comments he made about Kristen despite these red flags there was no direct evidence linking him to Kristen's disappearance at the time making it difficult for authorities to press charges the investigation into Kristen Smart's disappearance contained numerous procedural missteps that fueled public criticism additionally the initial searches of Paul's dorm room and vehicle were not conducted thoroughly by the time more rigorous searches were performed any poti poal evidence that could have been found was likely compromised Kristen's family was vocal about their dissatisfaction with how the case was handled they pushed for more aggressive investigative tactics and greater public awareness this pressure eventually led to more intensive search efforts and A Renewed focus on Paul as a suspect but again Paul was eliminated from the list of suspects due to insufficient evidence after years of fruitless searches and no substantial leads the decision was made to declare Kristen legally dead in 20 2 and despite officials removing Paul as a suspect Kristen's family still believed he played a role in her disappearance the Declaration of death allowed Kristen's family to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against Paul although the lawsuit did not immediately lead to New Evidence or breakthroughs in the criminal investigation it kept the case in the public eye and maintained pressure on law enforcement to continue their efforts it wasn't until 2020 when a major development occurred law enforcement seized two trucks owned by Paul Flores further investigations and searches of properties linked to him yielded numerous interesting items including forensic evidence this evidence was able to be tied to Kristen's disappearance the efforts of the investigators finally came together in another breakthrough in April 2021 on April 13th 2021 Paul Flores was arrested at his home in San Pedro California on suspicion of murder his father Ruben Flores was also arrested at his residence in aoo Grande charged as an accessory for allegedly helping to conceal Kristen's body for over two decades Paul was able to elude the law due to the lack of concrete evidence during the searches leading up to the arrest investigators found evidence that included soil disturbances and the presence of human blood under the deck of Ruben flores's home although the blood was too degraded to extract a DNA profile the finding strongly suggested that Kristen's remains had been at that location at some point the trial began in July 2022 on October 18th 2022 the jury found Paul Flores guilty of first-degree murder the jury concluded that Paul had killed Kristen during an attempted in his dorm room the same day a separate jury acquitted Ruben Flores of accessory charges determining that there was not enough evidence to convict him of helping to conceal Kristen's body in March 2023 Paul was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison then in August of the same year Paul was involved in a fight in prison where he was seriously injured Dino Bravo born Adolfo brano on August 6 1948 in Campa baso Italy immigrated to Canada with his family at a young age settling in Montreal Quebec brano developed an early interest in professional wrestling he began his wrestling career in 1970 adopting the ring name Dino Bravo early on Bravo trained under Gino breedo who would later become not just a mentor but a business partner Bravo's wrestling career took off in the local circuits of Quebec where he quickly gained a reputation for his strength and Charisma in the early 1970s he teamed up with his trainer Gino Breo and together they captured several Regional Tag Team Championships in 1978 Bravo joined the World Wrestling Federation aka the WWF Bravo's career in the WWF was marked by several notable feuds and matches he was known for his powerful build and strength which he often showcased in bench press competitions and other Feats of Strength during his wrestling matches through the 1980s Bravo continued to see success however as the 1980s Drew to a close Bravo's wrestling career began to wne by the early 1990s he found himself with a much smaller role in the WWF his final appearance was at WrestleMania 7 in 1991 Bravo officially retired from professional wrestling in 1992 Post retirement Dino Bravo struggled immensely with money the transition from a well-known wrestler to an ordinary life proved to be a tough transition for him Bravo didn't really have any skills outside of wrestling so he struggled to maintain his lifestyle and support his family the financial strain was made worse by his lavish spending habits and the high expectations that came with his former wrestling Fame Bravo's marriage to Diane ravest the niece of Montreal Crime Boss venzo katron brought him into close contact with organized crime the katron family was deeply involved in various illegal activities including Lo sharking substance trafficking and the illicit cigarette trade with no other options Bravo went to the katronis for a job by the early 1990s Bravo became involved in the illegal cigarette smuggling business this involved transporting cigarettes from areas with low taxation to those with higher taxes circumventing government regulations and creating significant profits many of the routes involved partnering with Native American tribes and wrestling was beloved amongst many of the natives which made Bravo a popular figure with the them these Native American groups really trusted Bravo which gave him an opportunity to establish a monopoly in this industry but as you would expect other gangs who saw Bravo's increasing influence were not happy on March 10th 1993 Dino Bravo was found dead in his home in Laval Quebec Bravo had been shot 11 times with seven of those wounds in his head his wife Diane and their daughter were out at a ballet lesson when the event occurred Upon returning home Diane discovered Bravo's body slumped in a chair care with the television still on the investigation of the crime scene revealed no signs of forced entry leading investigators to conclude that bravvo likely knew his asants and had willingly let them into his home this detail pointed towards a premeditated act possibly involving individuals Bravo trusted or had business dealings with the lack of forced entry also implied that The Killers might have been watching the hockey game with Bravo before the murder furthermore the remote control was found Loosely in his hand which suggested that he did not expect an attack officials also believed that this was a professional hit the manner in which Bravo was killed was methodical and the excessive number of bullets used suggested a message was being sent possibly as a warning to others involved in similar activities one of the primary theories surrounding Dino Bravo's murder is linked to his involvement in the illegal cigarette smuggling business again because of Bravo's relationship with the Native Americans he became quite powerful however this power came at a price it is believed believed that Bravo had a dispute with a major dealer which may have escalated into violence according to reports Bravo had a $400,000 shipment of coke that was seized by the police causing friction between him and his criminal Partners this failed deal is thought to have played a crucial role in his death another theory points to internal conflicts within Montreal's organized crime families Dino Bravo was connected to the katron family through his marriage but by the early 1990s the rosuto family had become the the dominant force in Montreal's Underworld the power struggle between these two factions could have implicated Bravo the katron family's Decline and the rudo family's rise might have made Bravo a Target the nature of the crime made it difficult for authorities to pin down the culprits moreover the Code of Silence within organized crime circles meant that Witnesses were either unwilling to come forward or simply didn't have information despite various theories and ongoing speculation the exact motive and identity of Bravo's killers remain unknown the case went cold due to the lack of physical evidence and the difficulty in penetrating the organized crime networks involved there were rumors going around sometime in the 1990s about fake social workers abducting children it is unclear how this story came to be but it seems that similar events have occurred all around the world one such event occurred in late February of 2018 in Queen Bean Australia a mother of two reported a random encounter with a man and a woman after contacting the police they made the following statement to the public the man and woman claimed to be fac as casew workers and produced what appeared to be an identity card they stated they were there to check on the welfare of the children the mother stated the children were asleep and told the pair she could call them to return when they woke however the pair stated that they would wait a short time later the mother presented the children to the pair in the lounge room after checking the children and their bedroom the pair left the home the woman became suspicious of the visit and contacted Queen Bean FACS who confirmed they had no record of the visit from any of their casew workers and the matter was reported to police the man was white somewhere in his 30s slim 6 ft tall dark hair and had a large nose as for the woman she was also white in her 20s 5T tall medium build with curly hair both of them were wearing formal clothing ever since this encounter there has not been another like it in that specific area we can take a look at an incident from 1990 where a woman named Elizabeth kand was in a similar situation many like to point to this as the beginning of these fake social worker reports two individuals approached kopin's residence in Sheffield England filled with concern for her children's safety Elizabeth led the two visitors into her home they proceeded to inspect her kids one of which was 2 years old and the other an infant of less than 6 months following their examination the two visitors departed leaving Elizabeth with lingering concern but then just a few days later one of the women reappeared accompanied by a male partner and they had some distressing news they said that the children had to be removed from Elizabeth's home and placed into foster care and immediately this sent waves of fear confusion and anger through Elizabeth she was skeptical to say the least she threatened to involve the police which caused the pair to flee the area curiously the NS PCC denied any knowledge of these visits asserting that none of their representatives had visited Elizabeth on that specified day this infuriated Elizabeth even more a group of people had just attempted to walk off with their kids by impersonating people of Authority police treated the incident with gravity conducting a thorough investigation that failed to uncover any evidence of misconduct by government officials nevertheless this incident marked the onset of a series of similar encounters during that time in that same year operation Child Care was launched in South Yorkshire the claims from Elizabeth and others sparked the need for investigations into those who were pretending to be social workers it aimed to tackle reports of child abductions and abuse supposedly done by social workers or folks pretending to be them detective superintendent David Foss was the man leading the show he had 23 different police departments and agencies all teaming up for this massive project Foss later said the trickiest part was people falling for the media drama swallowing allegations without any real proof He also mentioned later on that sure some complaints might be legit but most of them were just blown way out of proportion this was a statement made by one of the officers investigating the issues there have been no arrests the bottom line is there is more than one team involved there were a few reports that we felt were worth investigating but a lot of the reports were malicious by attention seeking people even with all the complaints from izabeth and other anxious parents the police didn't really have the information to investigate particular people of Interest Ray wire the sexual crimes consultant with operation Child Care had his two cents about how these allegations played out pulling something like this is a seriously risky move plus no babies actually got snatched though some kids got checked out what the heck was happening there are way easier ways to get a hold of a baby after poking around claims all over South Yorkshire and beyond for years they wrapped up operation child care in 1994 the cops rounded up over 250 reports of fake or bogus social workers but they figured only 18 were worth a second look and only two of them were actually legit but even with operation Child Care throwing in the towel without any arrests worried parents in the UK weren't letting up on the claims an Wy another young mother had a story similar to Elizabeth's this time it went down over 200 Mi away in the Scottish town of of Hamilton back in October 1994 a stranger showed up at Anne's door wanting to examine her toddler Anne later told police it struck me as odd right from the GetGo because no one usually comes to my back door this lady claimed she was my new health visitor and came to review his medical records he had asthma I asked her you got any ID and she said oh I must have left it in the car which my regular Health visitor never does I peaked at the car and there was a guy in there smoking which was weird because you wouldn't expect Health visitors to do that so I asked her my son's name and she hesitated but then she whipped out this file and I don't know if it was my son's but she seemed to know all his medical history how long he'd been in the hospital and such she chatted with my son but it was pouring rain so I said we'd all better head inside I took my son in and she was gone an described this woman as being in her 20s around 5'4 with a slim build light brown hair and a small mark under her right eye another encounter involved 35-year-old mother lenise Stewart from edenburg in April 1995 according to Stewart a woman tried to snatch her 4-month-old baby the Intruder was a fake Health visitor there to check on her baby lenise said the smartly dressed lady grabbed hold of her infant daughter and tried to make a run for it Stuart had to put up a fight claiming she threw a punch to get her baby back the whole incident got reported to the cops and was initially tied to other attempted abductions in the area however the police later backed off this claim saying there were sightings of a sketchy woman around but no actual kidnapping attempts neighor stayed on high alert in the days and weeks that followed but stayed skeptical about Stuart's story just a few days later a spokesperson from Lothian and borders police said the following we're not on the lookout for anyone related to the incident Case Closed there were some people who accused Stuart of making up this story as a way to grab attention but Stuart obviously wasn't having it she had to put up a public fight against these rumors she said as far as I'm concerned I'm sticking by my story no hoax it all went down just like I said I'm not going to be hit with wasting police time I've heard whispers about it the investigation's done and if you want more info go ask the police there was a moment when the cops seemed to be toying with the idea of slapping charges on Stuart for filing a false police report but that eventually just fizzled out same goes for any of her own stories about a weirdo trying to snatch her kid did many people think that the whole thing never actually happened but that didn't stop it from being another headline grabbing incident in the UK there are dozens of additional incidents that are similar to the ones we just went over but none have resulted in an arrest that has tied to any sort of underground organization or anything like that Colin Michael good was a former Gardener employed by Auckland city parks he was known for his meticulous work and passion for culture however as time went on good became increasingly disillusioned with urban life and the societal pressures that came with it seeking Solitude and a simpler life he made the decision to relocate to Great Barrier Island This Island located approximately 100 km Northeast of Auckland is known for its rugged terrain dense forests and small population Great Barrier Island offered good the seclusion he desired but it also presents significant challenges for those choosing to live off the grid the Island's remoteness means that residents must be self-sufficient for good this was an ideal setting upon settling on Great Barrier Island good began cultivating cannabis this was not an unusual occupation in the Island's isolated and somewhat Lawless environment many residents engaged in similar activities to sustain themselves financially Good's work was well known among the locals and law enforcement who often turned a blind eye to such activities due to the Island's Community Dynamics Good's lifestyle was that of a true recluse he had minimal contact with the outside world he was known to be extremely cautious if not paranoid about his safety Goods interactions with others were limited and he rarely ventured into town when he did it was usually to get essential supplies or to sell some of his cannabis crops occasionally on June 30th 1999 a gruesome Discovery was made on the island Callin Michael Good's decaying body was found in his home by a resident who had grown concerned after not seeing good for several months Good's body was found lying on a double bed in his bedroom the state of decomposition indicated that he had been dead for some time possibly since his last sighting in April of that year beside him were the remains of his dog most disturbingly Good's right hand was missing and has never been found the initial examination of the scene just raised more questions two rifles were found in the bedroom but it was quickly determined that good had not died from gunshot wounds an extensive postmortem examination failed to establish any cause of death leaving investigators at a loss there were no obvious signs of a struggle or Foul Play yet the missing hand suggested that something sinister might have occurred something that made this event even more interesting was an incident from 1991 when good reported being assaulted in his home by members of the mongrel mob a notorious gang the asants demanded 13 kg of cannabis and robbed him of over $1,000 as well as a kilogram of cannabis this violent encounter highlighted the potential for enemies with motives to harm good the mongrel mob was Infamous for his violent activities and involvement in the illegal substance trade it's presumed that they targeted good because of his known involvement in their industry living in isolation without immediate neighbors or friends good was an easy target this encounter had a profound impact on good already a recluse by Nature the assault exacerbated his distrust of others and reinforced his desire for Solitude he became even more withdrawn this self-imposed isolation made it difficult for anyone to keep tabs on his well-being the initial investigation into Good's death did not yield any concrete answers the person who reported Good's prolonged absence to the police was questioned but quickly ruled out as a suspect this individual later died in 2002 after consuming an excessive amount of illegal substances several theories have been proposed over the years to explain the mysterious circumstances of Good's death the first suggest that good was killed as r avenge by criminal Associates given the nature of Good's work and the previous assault by gang members it is plausible that his death was a result of Revenge or a failed robbery attempt by criminals the missing hand could have been a gruesome message or an attempt to send a warning to others another theory suggests that good might have died of natural causes or an accident and his body left unattended for a prolonged period could have been partially scavenged by animals resulting in the missing hand others speculate that an un known individual might have targeted good either for his crops or due to personal grudges this theory is similar to the First with the only difference being a group versus an individual some have questioned whether good might have inflicted harm upon himself in a moment of distress is a bit of a less accepted Theory but nevertheless it is a possibility between 1992 and 1996 a serial killer was running around Cape Town targeting six workers brutally murdering 26 women and disposing of their bodies across the cape Peninsula despite extensive police investigations the identity of the cape Ripper remains unknown and the case is still unsolved the early 1990s were a period of significant transformation for South Africa the end of Apartheid in 1994 marked the beginning of a new era of democracy and Racial equality however this period was also characterized by consider able social and economic change the transition included issues such as widespread poverty unemployment and social disintegration as a result of these factors a higher crime rate came about with a growing sense of insecurity amongst the public the city's marginalized communities particularly those involved in sex work were especially vulnerable they often faced violence exploitation and discrimination making them easy targets for Predators the social stigma attached to work made it less likely for crimes against them to be thoroughly investigated and pursued the cape Ripper understood this and exclusively targeted workers these workers were often operating in environments that were already dangerous and underp policed they had fewer resources and less support from law enforcement making them vulnerable to violence the first known victim Christine fton was found on October 28th 1992 in Atlantis a suburb of Cape Town her body was severely mutilated which would become part of the cape ape rippers Mo over the next 4 years 25 more women would meet similar Fates the following is a list of some of the victims who have been identified Elizabeth Martin chich 29 Sarah mes 29 francina Manuel 30 Elizabeth was discovered in Worcester in March of 1993 her body showed signs of rap and mutilation the next day Sarah's remains were found with similar damage to the body about 2 weeks later francina's remains were found she too had sustained Ain the same damage the transient nature of the victims made it difficult to gather reliable information about their last movements or potential suspects and due to the high crime rate it was difficult to separate this string of murders from all of the other crimes occurring at the time several suspects were considered throughout the investigation but none were definitively linked to the crimes one notable suspect was an elderly unemployed man living in a caravan near vort treker Road he was brought in for questioning in April 1996 after a worker reported his disturbing fantasies involving violent acts against women despite his suspicious Behavior and the circumstantial evidence against him there was no concrete proof to hold him and despite being let off this man continued to poke the bear this suspect later made threatening calls to the police claiming he would kill more women once his vehicle was repaired so the man was arrested once more and then released in 1997 since authorities still didn't have any evidence on him this suspect then went on to accuse the police of misconduct these accusations included claims that police had planted evidence to secure his conviction another lead involved the discovery of a blue and white pickup truck seen near the locations where some of the bodies were found this vehicle was linked to the suspect living in the Caravan but despite extensive searches and surveillance no definitive evidence was found to tie him to the murders conclusively the suspect's erratic behavior and his admission of experiencing blackouts led many to believe that this was the killer but without solid forensic evidence the police could not secure a conviction the police also collaborated with psychological profilers to develop a profile of the killer the profile suggested a person with deep-seated anger towards women possibly with a history of violence and knowledge of anatomy or medical procedures the public sent in numerous tips and potential leads however the sheer volume of information much of it unverified made it challenging for the police to sift through and identify useful leads the media played a crucial role in keeping the case in the public eye but it also contributed to the spread of fear and sometimes misinformation As Time passed the police faced significant criticism from the public and media for their handling of the investigation there were accusations of incompetence lack of urgency and even corruption that incident with the elderly suspect who was released due to insufficient evidence and later revealed to have had evidence planted against him severely damaged public trust in the police force critics argued that the police were not taking the murders of six workers seriously enough because marginalized groups were beneath them there were also concerns about the lack of resources and training for police officers dealing with such complex cases the high-profile nature of the case eventually led to the involvement of more experienced detectives and increased resources but these changes came too late to prevent many of the murders Mora Murray was born in Hansen Mass etts on May 4th 1982 she was the youngest of five children born to Fred and Lorie Murray growing up in a close-knit family Mara was known for her intelligence athleticism and determination the mures were a working-class family and Mara's parents instilled a strong work ethic in their children despite facing Financial struggles and marital issues that led to their eventual divorce the mures remained a tight-knit unit Mara was particularly close to her Father Fred who was actively involved in her education and Athletics Mora attended Whitman Hansen Regional High School she was a star athlete particularly in CrossCountry running earning numerous accolades Mara's discipline and dedication on the track were also mirrored in her academics her achievements in both Fields got her recognition and scholarship offers Paving the way for her acceptance into the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2000 Mora received an appointment to West Point one of the most prestigious militarys in the United States at West Point she excelled in her studies and Athletics majoring in chemical engineering however the rigorous demands and discipline of military life proved challenging for Mara after three semesters at West Point Mara left the academy and transferred to the University of Massachusetts Amherst the reasons for her departure from West Point were personal and multifaceted including the stringent environment and personal difficulties she faced at her new school Mora pursued a Nursing degree she continued to work hard balancing her studies with part-time jobs to support herself in the months leading up to her disappearance Mora Murray experienced several personal difficulties that added significant stress to her life while seemingly isolated these incidents together paint a picture of a young woman dealing with considerable pressures and challenges one of the significant events was a legal issue involving credit card fraud in November 2003 Mora was caught using a stolen credit card to order food the card belonged to a fellow student and Mora used used it to make small purchases totaling less than 100 bucks when the card owner noticed unauthorized charges an investigation LED back to Mora this incident resulted in a disciplinary hearing at her University Mora admitted to the charges and was put on probation This legal trouble weighed heavily on her as it jeopardized her academic standing and her future career in nursing another significant incident occurred just days before her disappearance on February 7th 2004 Mora borrowed her father's new Toyota to Corolla to attend a party late that night she had an accident while driving the car the accident took place on Route 9 in Hadley Massachusetts Mara lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guard rail causing significant damage to the car the police were called to the scene and a report was filed but Mora was not cited for any wrongdoing however this incident was a major source of stress for her as she felt she had let her father down Fred Murray rented a car the following day and took Mora to multiple auto body shops to get repair estimates he later stated that Mara seemed unusually upset and apologetic about the accident Mara was also dealing with personal and emotional struggles her relationship with her boyfriend Bill Rous who was stationed at Fort Sill in Oklahoma was strained they maintained a long-distance relationship which was challenging there were allegations of infidelity on both sides adding further tension additionally Mara's sister Kathleen was going through a drama-filled period including issues related to substance abuse and a problematic relationship Mara was deeply affected by her sister's troubles and often took on a caretaker role within her family friends and family noticed changes in maa's behavior in the months leading up to her disappearance she seemed more withdrawn and stressed though she continued attending classes and fulfilling her responsibilities some friends mentioned that MAA occasionally spoke about wanting to escape and start fresh though these comments were not taken seriously then the combination of academic pressures legal legal troubles and personal issues seemed to be taking a toll on her well-being on the morning of February 9th 2004 Mora Murray appeared to be planning a trip between 1:00 p.m. and 2 p.m. she searched on her computer for directions to the burkers in Massachusetts and Burlington Vermont these searches indicated that she was considering several destinations but it is unclear why she chose these locations or what her plans were once she arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. Mora emailed her professors and work supervisors at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in her email she claimed she needed to take a week off due to a family emergency this statement was false as there was no family emergency then the email suggested Mara was trying to create an excuse for her absence indicating that she intended to be away for several days this action was one of the first clear signs that Mora was planning to leave the area though her ultimate destination and purpose remain unknown around 400 p.m. Mora left her dormatory at her University she packed several personal items into her Black 1996 Saturn sedan including clothes textbooks and toiletries the item she chose to bring suggested she was preparing for a trip that would last several days before leaving she also printed out directions to Burlington Vermont further indicating her intention to travel there approximately 3 hours after leaving campus Mara was seen withdrawing $280 from an ATM in Amherst which nearly depleted her bank account surveillance footage from the ATM showed her alone and calm she had no signs of distress or fear after withdrawing the money Mora went to a nearby liquor store where she purchased a variety of alcoholic beverages including Bailey's Irish Cream kala vodka and a box of frania wine the receipt from the liquor store was timestamped around 7:30 p.m. these purchases indicated that Mora might have been planning to consume alcohol during her trip though it is unclear whether she intended to drink alone or with others after making her purchases Mora left Amherst and headed north she is believed to have driven alone as no evidence suggests anyone else was with her during this time her exact route is unknown but it is assumed that she drove on Route 112 a rural road that would eventually lead her to the area near Woodsville New Hampshire at approximately 7:27 p.m. Mara's car veered off the road on the route she was taking the accident occurred in a remote wooded area with little traffic especially at night Mara's car struck a tree and came to rest in a snow bank causing significant damage to the vehicle's front end the crash site was about 140 mi from Amherst suggesting Mara had been driving for several hours before the accident the first person to notice the accident was Faith Westman a resident whose house was near the crash site around 7:30 p.m. Westman heard a loud noise and looked out her window to see a black Saturn sedan partially off the road and against a snowbank she saw a woman presumably Mora standing out inside the car concerned Westman called police to report the accident during her call she mentioned seeing a man smoking a cigarette inside the vehicle but this detail remains unconfirmed and is one of the many ambiguities in the case shortly after the crash Butch Atwood a school bus driver who lived nearby drove past the scene he stopped his bus and offered assistance to Mora Atwood described Mora as appearing shaken but not visibly injured she declined his offer of help insisting that she had already called Tria a for roadside assistance this claim was questionable as there was no cell phone reception in that area and subsequent investigations showed that no such call was made Atwood observed Mara for a few minutes noting that she seemed cold but otherwise normal and calm after their brief conversation Atwood drove home and parked his bus he later called the police to report the accident noting the interaction with Mora the local police were dispatched to the scene and arrived around 7:46 p.m. approximately 19 minutes after the accident was reported when officer cesil Smith arrived he found Mara's car locked and abandoned the vehicle had significant front-end damage and the airbags had been deployed inside the car officer Smith found various items including maa's gloves CDs makeup and a book on mountain climbing a partially empty box of wine was also found with some of the wine spilled inside the car Mara's debit card credit cards and cell phone were missing suggesting she had taken them when she left the vehicle there were no immediate signs of a struggle or foul play at the scene the responding officer and later other law enforcement members searched the area around the crash site they searched the nearby woods and roadways but there was no trace of Mara the temperature that night was around 1° F and the search conditions were challenging due to the cold and darkness the police checked local motels and hospitals but Mora did not turn up additionally no Footprints or evidence indicated which direction she might have headed Mara's Father Fred Murray was informed of the situation the following morning he immediately drove from Connecticut to New Hampshire to assist in the search for his daughter Fred was deeply involved in the investigation from the beginning working tirelessly to gather information and keep the Public's attention on Mara's case he coordinated with local authorities organized search parties and frequently spoke to the media to raise awareness about his daughter's disappearance the search efforts for Mara were extensive and involved numerous volunteers including friends family members and concerned citizens professional search and rescue teams were also deployed using search dogs helicopters and ground teams to scour the area the search dogs were able to pick up Mora's scent initially but lost it abruptly about 100 yard east of where the car had been discovered this led some to speculate that a passing vehicle may have picked her up despite the comprehensive search efforts no definitive evidence of Mara's wearabouts was found Flyers with Mara's photo and details were distributed and information about her disappearance was posted on community boards and in local newspapers The Disappearance of Mora Murray quickly attracted significant media attention the mysterious circumstances of her disappearance and the lack of concrete evidence made it a compelling story for news outlets the case was covered extensively by local and National media including newspapers television news programs and online news websites the media coverage helped raise awareness about Mora's case and generated numerous tips and leads though many proved to be deadend over the years Mara's disappearance has continued to Garner media interest her case has been featured on various true crime television shows and podcasts additionally several documentaries and books have been produced about Mora Murray's disappearance the case of Mora Murray has given rise to numerous theories over the years some believe Mora meticulously planned her disappearance to start a new life supporters of this Theory point to several actions Mora took that suggest premeditation the first is the internet searches on the day of of her disappearance Mora searched for directions to the burkers and Burlington Vermont which indicates she was considering specific destinations these searches and her printed directions suggest she was planning to travel somewhere deliberately there were also those emails Mora emailed her professors and work supervisors claiming she had a family emergency and would be away for a week this email provided an alibi for her absence suggesting she anticipated being gone for an extended period some also suggest that the large alcohol purchase was meant to calm Mora's nerves during her trip since leaving your family behind is a very big decision there is also another variation of this theory that suggests MAA intended to return but for unknown circumstances she never did as we already know Mara's life was a mess prior to her disappearance she may have intended on just taking a break from Life out in the wilderness where no one would look for her and then go back home then there's the possibility of Foul Play one of the most widely discussed theories is that Mora was abducted by a stranger after her car accident this Theory pauses that someone driving along Route 112 saw Mora stranded and took advantage of the situation the remote location lack of evidence and the search dogs losing Mora's scent can all be used to support this idea but there is no concrete evidence to confirm it investigators have not identified any suspects or found any physical evidence to indicate that MAA was forcibly taken another theory suggests that someone from Mora's personal life was involved in her disappearance this Theory includes various speculations involving friends family members or acquaintances who might have had motives to harm her Mora's relationship with her boyfriend Bill Roush was reportedly not going well long-distance relationships can be challenging and there were allegations of infidelity on both ends some speculate that a confrontation with Bill or another individual related to their relationship could have led to foul play one of the simpler explanations is that Mora left her car and wandered into the surrounding Woods succumbing to the harsh elements the night Mora disappeared temperatures were frigid dropping to around 1° F if Mara had wandered into the woods without proper clothing or supplies she could have quickly succumbed to hypothermia furthermore the area around the crash site is remote with dense woods and few buildings if Mara became disoriented or injured she might not have been able to find shelter or assistance but to this day no remains of her have been located this Theory goes bit deeper suggesting that Mara may have fallen into one of the several bodies of water in the area the currents may have carried her away to a location that officials never thought to search the case of daisaku Chiba a young and talented manga artist remains one of Japan's most somber unsolved murders on January 15th 2007 daisaku Chiba a 20-year-old firste student at Kyoto sea University was brutally murdered while riding his bike back home in Kyoto daaku Chiba was a promising young artist from Sendai Miyagi prefecture born in 1986 Chiba showed an early interest and talent in drawing which evolved into a passion for manga his family and friends described him as a dedicated hardworking individual who spent countless hours honing his skills this passion led him to enroll in the prestigious manga department at Kyoto sea University known for being the first University in Japan to offer a degree in manga studies chiba's work was characterized by its originality and depth reflecting his deep understanding of human nature and Society his professors noted his exceptional ability to convey complex emotions and stories through his art predicting a bright future for him in the manga industry Chiba was particularly interested in exploring friendship struggle and perseverance themes which resonated deeply with his peers Kyoto sea University located in Northern Kyoto is renowned for its strong emphasis on Creative Arts established in 1968 the university quickly gained a reputation for fostering creativity and Innovation its manga Department founded in 2000 was the first in Japan to offer a structured course for aspiring manga artists the department attracts students from across Japan and around the world as a firste student Chiba recently moved to Kyoto to pursue his education he was excited about the opportunity to study under renowned professors and collabor with fellow aspiring artists his initial months at the University were filled with enthusiasm as he immersed himself in his studies and Campus Life his peers and professors remember him as a friendly and supportive classmate who was always willing to share his knowledge and help others on the evening of January 15th 2007 daaku Chiba was bicycling home on a sidewalk in sakoku a ward in Kyoto Chiba had spent his day attending classes and working on his manga projects the time was a approximately 7:45 p.m. the streets were relatively quiet which was typical for a residential area during this hour as chibba rode his bicycle he was suddenly approached by an unknown as salant Witnesses later describ the attacker as a man between 20 and 30 years old with a medium build standing about 175 cm tall and having medium length hair that covered his ears this man was seen swaying from side to side and yelling obscenities this Behavior suggested that he might have been under under the influence of alcohol or substances or possibly suffering from some form of mental instability without any provocation the man viciously attacked Chiba he pulled out a knife and stabbed Chiba several times in the chest and stomach despite the severity of his injuries chibba managed to cry out for help his cries drew the attention of nearby residents and passers by who quickly called emergency services within minutes an ambulance arrived at the scene the paramedics provided immediate medical assistance and rushed Chiba to a nearby hospital during the Frantic ride Chiba remained conscious but was in critical condition due to the extensive blood loss and Trauma from the stab wounds unfortunately despite the medical team's best efforts the injuries were too severe and Chiba succumbed to his wounds shortly after arriving at the hospital a Swift and intense response from both the authorities and the media followed chiba's murder the Kyoto prefectual police launched a full-scale investigation immediately after the incident they secured the crime scene according buring off the area to preserve potential evidence forensic teams meticulously examined the site collecting any physical evidence that might provide clues about the as salant this included blood samples possible fingerprints and any items that the attacker might have left behind the police conducted door-to-door interviews in the neighborhood speaking with residents who might have seen or heard anything unusual that evening witness statements were collected and a composite sketch of the suspect was created based on the descriptions provided this sketch was subsequent ly distributed to the public through various media channels in an effort to gather more information and leads news of chiba's murder quickly spread across Japan with national media Outlets providing extensive coverage of the tragic event the senselessness of the attack captured the Public's attention and there was a widespread outrage and sorrow the media played a crucial role in disseminating information about the case keeping it in the public eye and urging anyone with information to come forward the coverage included interviews with chiba's family friends and professors who spoke about his dreams his talent and the impact of his loss on their lives the local community particularly Kyoto sea University was deeply affected by chiba's death vigils and Memorial Services were organized to honor his memory and provide a space for Collective mourning chiba's family traveled from Cai to kyota to participate in these memorials and back to that sketch of the suspect there were no glaring details about the man which made the sketch's impact much weaker it didn't help much if at at all in pinpointing a suspect to facilitate the flow of information the police set up a dedicated hotline for tips related to the murder over time they received over 1,000 pieces of information from the public these tips rang from possible sightings of the suspect to information about individuals who match the description provided by Witnesses despite this influx of information none of the leads resulted in a significant breakthrough the vague description of the suspect and the lack of a clear motive continued to hinder the investigation in a creative attempt to gather more information and keep the case in the public eye chiba's professors and classmates at kyota Sea University decided to create an informational manga this initiative was driven by their deep sense of loss and desire to honor chiba's memory while aiding the investigation the concept of the informational manga was to humanize Chiba and highlight his life dreams and aspirations by doing so his professors and classmates hope to elicit empathy from the public and encourage anyone with information to come forward the manga detailed chiba's Journey as an aspiring manga artist his experiences at University and his interactions with friends and family it also included a section that described the events leading up to his murder the attack itself and the subsequent investigation a team of six professors and several students collaborated on the manga combining their artistic talents and personal Recollections of Chiba the informational manga was distributed both physically and online copies were handed out at key locations around Kyoto including train stations shopping centers and University campuses the online version was shared widely on various websites dedicated to manga and crime prevention the public response to the manga was overwhelmingly positive many people were moved by the story of chiba's life it sparked renewed interest in the case and generated additional tips and leads for the police to investigate however despite this increased attention and the valuable information that was gathered the case remained unsolved in addition to the manga the Japanese National Police agency offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of chiba's killer the reward initially set at 1 million yen was later increased to 3 million yen as part of a broader initiative to solve several high-profile unsolved cases the increase in the reward was intended to incentivize individuals with critical information to come forward but as you would expect nothing has come of this and the case is still unsolved chalice Alford was born in a mundane small town on August 31st 1947 and led a relatively normal life she grew up in a modest household and was known to her friends and family as an energetic and warm-hearted individual in the mid 1960s chalice married her first husband Donald Barnett this marriage however was short lived little information is available about her life during this period but the marriage ended in divorce while the details are sparse it is clear that this failed relationship was a defining period in her life setting the stage for her next much more tumultuous relationship in 1980 chalice met John Paul Senior Jon was known by the public as a successful race car driver whose private life was filled with crime Jon was a prominent figure in the racing World during the late 1970s and early 1980s he had achieved significant success in his racing career with notable victories however beneath this curtain of success Jon was deeply involved in illegal activities particularly illegal substance trafficking chalice his marriage to Jon drastically altered the course of her life marrying into a world of high-speed racing and illicit dealings chalice found herself in a dangerous and illegal lifestyle chalice went missing at the age of 33 during the summer of 1981 she was last seen in the Florida Keys in the company of her husband JN the exact circumstances of her disappearance remain murky but several key details have been established through investigations and witness accounts before her disappearance chalice was securing alimon from Jon following their separation their marriage had become strained and chalice was reportedly seeking Financial independence from Jon on the day she vanished chalice boarded a plane from Atlanta Georgia to Florida to meet Jon to discuss their alimony Arrangements this meeting was her last known interaction before she disappeared without a trace the events leading up to her disappearance begin with chalice departure from Atlanta Witnesses in the area reportedly saw chalice and Jon together but these sightings are the last confirmed accounts of her whereabouts the investigation into chalice Paul's disappearance began almost immediately after she was reported missing given Jon's notorious reputation he quickly became the prime suspect however despite extensive efforts by the authorities the investigation yielded few concrete leads the absence of physical evidence made it difficult to build a solid case against anyone including JN authorities conducted numerous searches and interviews to piece together chalice is last movements despite these efforts the investigation hit countless dead ends leaving chalice is fate in mystery several theories have been proposed regarding chalice his fate one of the most prominent theories suggests that JN murdered her to prevent her from testifying against him or claiming a portion of his assets given Jon's History of Violence and his need to protect his criminal Enterprise this Theory holds significant weight John Paul had a known pattern of eliminating threats as evidenced by his previous attempt to murder Steven Carson a former business associate who had threatened to expose him another theory pauses that chalice might have been a victim of Jon's Associates within the illegal trafficking ring the high stakes of their illegal operations meant that anyone perceived as a threat could be targeted if chalice knew of their activities or were seen as a potential informant she would have been a significant liability a third Theory suggests that chalice may have attempted to escape her tumultuous life with John Paul and start a new knew however given the lack of any evidence supporting her relocation or a new life elsewhere this theory is less widely accepted the complete absence of contact with her family and friends since her disappearance further weakens this despite the various theories the investigation has been hindered by a lack of physical evidence no remains have been found and no Witnesses have come forward with definitive information about what happened to chice the case has remained open with periodic reviews by law enforcement and renewed public interest occasionally prompting fresh leads but none have led to a resolution now for some background on John born in 1939 he initially LED what seemed to be a promising life he graduated from Harvard with a business degree and began a career that appeared respectable on the surface however by the mid 1970s Financial pressures and The Lure of easy money led him into the criminal World his transition into crime began as a means to fund his racing career despite his success on the track the financial demands of maintaining a Competitive Edge in racing were overwhelming to bridge this Gap John Paul turned to smuggling large quantities of illegal substances his criminal activities were not limited to Illegal substances he was also involved in several violent incidents that showcased his ruthlessness one of the most notorious cases involved an attempt on the life of Steven Carson a former business associate in 1983 John shot Carson multiple times in a bid to eliminate him as a Potential Threat Carson survived the attack leading to to John Paul's conviction for attempted first-degree murder and a subsequent 25-year prison sentence his violent tendencies were further highlighted during an attempted escape from prison on March 10th 1987 Jon and another inmate tried to break out of USP lenworth by spraying a mixture of hot sauce and pine Sal in a guard's face before attempting to scale a 12-ft fence the escape attempt was foiled when the guard recovered and fired shots prompting the inmates to surrender after serving his sentence and being paroled in 1999 John Paul wasted little time before resuming his criminal activities he quickly became involved in another mysterious disappearance this time involving Colleen Wood Wood was an office manager from Ohio who moved to Florida and began a relationship with Jon the two planned an ambitious sailing trip worldwide on Paul's Boat the diamond girl however wood disappeared in December 2000 just as their Journey was about to start Jon was the last person known to have seen her but but despite extensive investigations no charges were ever filed against him in connection with her disappearance Wood's disappearance had Eerie similarities to the case of chalice Paul increasing suspicions about Jon's involvement both women were last seen with him and both vanished under suspicious circumstances investigators and the public alike began to see a pattern suggesting that John Paul might have been involved in multiple disappearances to protect his criminal Enterprises and eliminate potential Witnesses The Disappearance of chalice Paul has had a profound impact on her family and friends her sister Carla deline Alfred power has been particularly vocal in Seeking Justice and answers Carla has tirelessly advocated for renewed investigations and greater public awareness of her sister's case John Paul's senior son John Paul Jr also experienced significant repercussions due to his father's actions although he followed in his Father's Footsteps in the racing World his career was overshadowed by the criminal notoriety of John senior the younger John's racing achievements were constantly marred by associations with his father's illegal activities and the mysterious disappearances linked to him this case focuses on an individual named Simon sedeno Simon was a domestic servant in 19th century New Zealand this case remains one of the more notorious cases in New Zealand's history due to its controversy involving race Simon sedino was a Spanish-speaking domestic servant employed by Mr and Mrs Robinson in Christ Church during this period New Zealand was a growing Colony with a diverse population including European settlers and a smaller number of people from other ethnic backgrounds the Robinsons were a prominent family in Canterbury which significantly Amplified the public interest in the case the 19th century was a transformative period for New Zealand the arrival of European settlers led to significant demographic shifts resulting in a Society filled with cultural diversity and often racial tensions European settlers held dominant positions in society while people of other ethnic backgrounds often face discrimination and marginalization with all of this in mind service was one of the few employment opportunities to immigrants and people of color Simon sedino was one example of this he was employed by a powerful and well-respected family in the Robinson Mr Robinson was a well-known figure in the community involved in business and social activities the family standing in society meant that any incident involving their household was going to attract significant attention this was particularly true in Simon's case since he was a different race on the afternoon of January 9th 1871 a violent Outburst by Simon sadino resulted in a gruesome crime that would be remembered for its brutality and the racial undertones that surrounded it the exact sequence of events leading up to the attack remains partially unknown but reports and witness statements provide a detailed picture of the crime sedo's attack began in the household where he worked during Mr Robinson's absence sedino first targeted Margaret Burke delivering a fatal blow to her heart with a weapon what exactly the weapon was varies from report to report but it's frequently suggested that it was a knife or similar sharp object as Margaret Burke Lay Dying kathern Glenn attempted either to intervene or Escape her efforts were met with violence sedino turned his attention to her Catherine received wounds to both her face and neck the injuries were life-threatening and medical accounts stated that she was in a State of Shock when officials finally arrived one of the most notable details of the crime scene was the bloody handprint left by sedino this handprint became a focal point for pretty much all media Outlets one newspaper used the headline curse of the bloody handprint when speaking about the case the handprint was reportedly found on a wall near where Margaret berke's body lay many looked at the handprint as a sort of mobra signature from sedino the motivations behind sedo's violence have been the subject of much speculation various sources suggest that sedino harbored deep-seated grievances against his employers particularly Mr Robinson in statements made to the police after his capture sadino expressed a clear intent to have killed Mr Robinson had he been present based on this investigators believe the two to have a strained relationship indicating a personal Vendetta sedino informed investigators that on several occasions Mr Robin called him a slur and that his heart was equally as black Mr Robinson even made these comments in front of guests which caused sedino to feel immense humiliation another aspect of the case that has intrigued historians is sedo's mental state at the time of the attack some reports and later analyses suggest that sedino may have been suffering from a form of temporary insanity or an overwhelming loss of control his defense in court argued that sedino was driven by an uncontrollable impulse possibly indicating a form of monomania however due to the racial prejudices at the time both the court and the public were unsympathetic if there was ever a Justified explanation for sedo's actions it was completely disregarded he was chocked up to be a deranged and dangerous individual even more than the actual crime itself newspapers emphasized sedo's racial background and portrayed him as an outsider stating that the crime was bound to have happened due to his race in court the prosecution argued that sadino posed a continuing threat to society he suggested that such an individual capable of such violence could not be allowed to remain within the community sedo's defense presented evidence of mistreatment and verbal abuse arguing that he had been subjected to significant psychological stress and humiliation sedo's team argued that his mistreatment could have triggered sedo's violent Outburst by highlighting sedo's good behavior before the incident and the derogatory remarks made by Mr Robinson the defense aimed to evoke sympathy and understanding ing from the jury ultimately the jury found Simon sedino guilty of murder judge gresen emphasized that a harsh punishment was needed to deter such events in the future as a result he sentenced sedino to death the community agreed with the judge Simon sedo's execution took place on April 5th 1871 the event was made out to be a public spectacle with a large crowd gathered to witness it so if you're like me you're probably wondering what the mystery is with this entry and to be completely honest honest I'm not entirely sure I'm guessing it's what caused sadino to lash out but it seems that pretty much everyone is in agreement that sadino resorted to violence because of his mistreatment I did a bit more digging to understand the case better and there seems to be debate on sedo's mental state throughout the event this leads some to believe that sadino didn't actually kill to get revenge but instead he killed because he had a sort of manic episode there is no concrete evidence of this but nevertheless it was one of the main arguments that his defense used this was an attempt to paint a picture that sadena was not actually capable of violence on the night of September 7th 2014 a mysterious explosion occurred near managua's International Airport in Nicaragua this event which left a significant crater measuring 12 m in diameter and 5 m deep sparked widespread speculation and concern despite extensive investigations the true cause of the explosion remains a subject of debate at midnight managa residents were startled by a loud explosion That Shook the city the explosion left a massive crater in a wooded area near the austo SE sanino International Airport remarkably despite its proximity to a densely populated area the blast did not result in any injuries the immediate aftermath saw a flurry of activity from local authorities scientists and the media as they work to understand what had happened the first theory proposed by Nicaraguan authorities was that a meteorite impact caused the explosion this hypothesis was supported by the event's timing which coincided with the passing of a small asteroid near Earth local officials including Wilfred Stout from the Nicaraguan Institute of territorial studies expressed confidence that a fragment of asteroid 2014 RC caused the explosion Stout stated we are convinced it was a meteorite despite the initial confidence in the meteorite Theory several factors led to skepticism among scientists and experts notably no meteorite fragments were found at the explosion site which is typically expected in the aftermath of a meteorite impact additionally there were no eyewitness reports or recorded sightings of a meteorite streaking across the sky which would have been visible given the intensity required to create such a large crater detailed geological surveys and analyses of the crater were conducted these studies included 3D imaging of the crater ground penetrating radar and a magnetometer grid study the results did not conclusive support the meteorite theory in an attempt to gain more insight Nicaraguan authorities contacted experts from the United States Geological Survey and NASA these organizations provided advice and conducted their analyses but their findings also did not support the meteorite impact Theory as the meteorite Theory lost traction other potential explanations were explored these included the possibility of a ground-based explosion either accidental or deliberate or a natural geological event such as a sinkhole the wood booger a Bigfoot like creature reputed to roam the forest of the Appalachian Mountains particularly in Southwest Virginia has long been a subject of local folklore the wood booger Legend traces its roots back to local folklore and Native American stories that have been passed down through generations the name wood booger reportedly originates from the boogeyman due to the creatures rumored tendency to carry off children who wandered Into the Woods at night sightings of the wood booger have been reported for decades primarily by locals in Southwest Virginia one notable modern sighting known as the Beast of Gum Hill was captured on video and investigated by the TV show Finding Bigfoot this sighting involved a man on an ATV encountering the creature near a river which has significantly contributed to the creature's modern popularity locals often report sightings while hunting hiking or during outdoor activities these encounters typically describe the Beast as standing between 7 to 8 ft tall with a muscular build and covered in dark fur despite numerous accounts concrete evidence remains elusive the existence of the wood booger like many Cryptids is subject to various interpretations cryptozoologists suggest that the wood booger could be a regional variant of Bigfoot supported by the consistency of sightings across different regions and cultures this Theory pauses that the creature might be an Undiscovered primate species part of a broader family of Cryptids incl including the yeti and the yahoi Skeptics however argue that the wood booger results from misidentifications hoaxes and the human tendency to create myths they suggest that many sightings could be explained by known animals such as Bears seen under unusual conditions the lack of physical evidence further fuels skepticism about the creature's existence the redhead murders refer to a series of unsolved homicides involving women with red or reddish hair predominantly occurring in the United States during the early to mid 1980s these murders banned across multiple States and shared common patterns and victim profiles the victims often found along major highways were primarily young women who lived transient Lifestyles making it challenging to quickly identify them and Trace their last movements today this case is sort of halfs solved there is one man that everyone pretty much agrees is responsible for a few of the deaths but on the other hand there are many victims that are tied to these murders who are still unidentified the redhead murders are believed to have started in the late 1970s and continue through the mid1 1980s the states included are Tennessee Kentucky Arkansas Mississippi and West Virginia and since most of these murders occurred on or near highways many believed that the culprit was a truck driver or someone who had to travel frequently many of the victims were hitchhikers sex workers or Nomads often these women were not reported missing immediately and the lack of identification documents made it difficult for authorities to identify them quickly their bodies were typically found in isolated rural areas near major highways often wrapped in blankets or bound with duct tape the deaths were usually caused by strangulation or Suffocation although not all of the victims showed signs of sex assault It is believed that the primary motive was in nature recognizing the similarities among the cases law enforcement agencies from multiple states began collaborating to share information and strategies in April 1985 representatives from Tennessee Kentucky Arkansas Mississippi and Pennsylvania met with the FBI to discuss the murders this Summit aimed to determine if the murders were the work of a single serial killer and to develop an approach to the investigation where all group's resources can be optimally utilized among the identified victims are names including Lisa Nichols Tina farmer Michelle Inman SB Pilgrim and Tracy Walker Lisa Nichols a 28-year-old woman is is one of the earliest known victims associated with the murders her body was discovered on September 16th 1984 along Interstate 40 in West Memphis Arkansas the discovery site was a remote area near a major highway she was found wrapped in a blanket and bound with duct tape indicating that she had likely been restrained and transported to the site her body also showed signs of strangulation despite an immediate investigation it was tough to pinpoint the victim's last movements due to her transient lifestyle style it's believed that she was hitchhiking or secured a ride at a truck stop there were no Witnesses or physical evidence to assist in the case Tina Farmer's body was found on January 1st 1985 along Interstate 75 in Campbell County Tennessee Tina was also bound and strangled her remains were found in an advanced state of decomposition with her body officials retained DNA evidence that was not of immediate use due to technological limitations at the time but this evidence would later become very important the location where Michelle inman's body was found was also near a major highway she was 23 years old and from Nashville Tennessee Michelle was found in July of 1983 then in April 1985b Pilgrim's remains were discovered inside a refrigerator along Route 25 in Gray Kentucky this unusual detail made esp's case more notable among the previous victims she was discovered nude except for socks and some jewelry with signs of Suffocation the refrigerator had a decal re Superwoman as well ESP was identified via DNA matching her daughter who reported her missing several years earlier as for Tracy Walker's date of discovery it isn't well-kept but it's believed to have been in the 1980s as well her remains were significantly decomposed but due to her red hair she was linked to the other murders and these are only the victims who were able to be identified there are approximately another dozen unidentified victims who share similar characteristics as those who have already been identified as for the DNA that was found on Tina's body it later led to a man named Jerry Leon John's while he was directly tied to Tina and identified as her killer it was still difficult to concretely link JNS to the other murders Jerry Leon JNS was a truck driver with a history of violent crimes he was born in the mid1 1940s his occupation as a Long Haul truck driver placed him near the locations where many of the redhead murderers victims were found in the mid 1980s he was convicted icted for the attempted murder of Linda Shack Linda's case shared a lot of striking similarities to the redhead murders most of Jon's crimes were focused on women his modus operandi typically involved luring victims under false pretenses restraining them and then attempting to kill them in March 1985 Linda a dancer with red hair reported to the police that J's had tried to strangle her to death with her own torn shirt JNS dumped her on the side of Interstate 40 in Knox County Tennessee believing she had died she survived the attack and provided a detailed account to the authorities leading to Jon's arrest he was subsequently convicted of attempted murder based on Linda's testimony and the physical evidence this crime was similar due to the use of strangulation disposal of the body near a highway and Linda's red hair behavioral analysts and criminal psychologists have attempted to construct a psychological profile of the culprit of the redhead murders the perpetrator is believed to have exhibited traits commonly associated with serial Killers including a desire for control and domination over the victims the choice of victims with red hair and the method of strangulation suggest a specific fetish or compulsion js's criminal history and behavior align with several aspects of this profile his job as a truck driver provided him with the mobility and opportunity to commit murders across multiple States the violent and methodical nature of his attack on Linda coupled with the forensic link to Tina farmer supports the theory that John's could be the man respons responsible for the redhead murders today the full extent of Jerry johns's involvement in the series of killings is unknown he died in prison in 2015 while serving time furthermore the vast majority of the victims remain unidentified despite the similarities between the murders there are some people who believe that most of them are unrelated and instead it's a mix of several different people who are responsible for the killings the Codex gigas commonly known as The Devil's Bible is one of the most intriguing manuscripts from the medieval period it's massive size unique content and the Legends surrounding its creation have been a talking point amongst Scholars and the public for centuries aside from its contents its sheer size is already extraordinary measuring approximately 36 in tall 20 in wide and 8.7 in thick it weighs around 165 lb the manuscript consists consist of 310 Vellum leaves made from the skins of about 160 donkeys or calves these details along set it apart from other medieval manuscripts this codex is regarded as more than just a large book it is a comprehensive compilation of various texts it contains the Full Latin Vulgate Bible making it a significant religious document however it also includes several other important texts these range from The Chronicle of bohemia medical knowledge spells text of exorcisms other Supernatural documents and works such as the Antiquities of the Jews but the most striking details are the full page illustrations that the book contains the most famous being the portrait of the devil the Codex gigos is steeped in Legends the most famous of which involves its creation according to popular lore the manuscript was created by a monk named Hermon the ReUse Herman allegedly broke his monastic vows and was sentenced to be walled up alive to avoid this he promised to create a book that would glorify the monasteries library and include all human knowledge in a single night realizing that this was impossible Herman made a pact with the Devil the devil completed the manuscript in exchange for Herman's Soul the large portrait of the Devil Within the Codex is said to be a tribute to this deal but again this is simply a legend rather than a fact another Legend suggests that the manuscript was created as a form of penance medieval belief held that copying holy texts could atone for sins some speculate that the monk behind the Codex gigas was seeking Redemption with this daunting task numerous theories have been proposed to explain the Codex Giga creation and purpose some scholars believe it was intended as a symbol of Devotion to God While others suggest it was just a source of knowledge preserving various texts for future Generations the inclusion of medical texts historical records and magic spells suggests that the manuscript aimed to cover a wide range of knowledge the inclusion of the devil's image raises many questions some interpret the image as a warning against Temptation and evil While others believe it may have had symbolic or ritualistic undertones many also say that the Codex gigos is rather boring and has only been over sensationalized because of that devil Image modern research has focused on its creation contents and historical significance Studies have shown that the manuscript was likely written by a single scribe based on the uniformity of the handwriting throughout the text the time required to complete such a manuscript even working continuously would have been immense estimates suggest it would have taken at least 5 years of continuous writing to complete with some Scholars arguing it could have taken up to 20 years if the Scribe worked only a few hours each day the materials used also Fascinate historians the Vellum used is of exceptionally high quality and portions are richly colored with pigments that would have been expensive and difficult to obtain in the medieval period the count of St gerain has fueled an immense amount of debate for centuries he is renowned for his talents mysterious Origins and legends suggesting he may have discovered the secret to immortality Born Into Obscurity the count first appeared in European Society in the early 18th century where his prodigious talents and Persona quickly gained him a mysterious reputation he claimed to possess ancient wisdom including the ability to transform base medals into gold and create Elixir that could prolong life much about the count of s gerain remain uncertain despite his historical footprint various accounts of his life contradict each other and the scarcity of concrete evidence has only fueled the theories about his true identity and purpose one widely accepted theory on his background suggests that the count was born in the late 17th century possibly around 1691 or 1710 some suggest he was born in Transylvania While others claim he was from Portugal or Hungary one prevalent Theory suggests that the count was the son of Prince fence rosi II of Pennsylvania an exiled Hungarian Noble this theory is supported by the claim that the count was highly educated and possessed the refined manners of European aristocracy fence rotti II was a prominent figure in Hungarian history leading an uprising against the habsburgs and subsequently living in Exile it is proposed that the Count's real name might have been Leopold George the youngest son of rosi who was raised in secrecy to protect him from political enemies another theory proposed by some historians is that the count was the son of a Portuguese Jew named Amar DEET meron this Theory suggests that his family fled from the Inquisition which would explain his extensive travels and the necessity of changing his identity this background would also account for his vast knowledge of various cultures and languages as his family would have had to adapt to different regions across Europe aside from these more conventional theories there are claims that the Count's Origins are of a more mystical nature some believe he was The Reincarnation of ancient figures or had access to ancient esoteric knowledge passed down through secret societies such as the rosac crucians or the Freemasons these claims are certainly a bit more Fantastical but they further add to the legend the count of St germain's most significant and well documented interactions occurred at the court of King Louis theth of France arriving at the French Court around 1748 the count quickly became close with the King and his corders through his wit and Charisma his close relationship with King Lou V 15th was regarded as the Pinnacle of his public life he became one of the King's favorite friends and advisers s germain's role at the French Court served multiple purposes he was involved in various diplomatic missions often acting as an unofficial Envoy for the king he was reportedly sent on secret missions to England to negotiate peace and Foster diplomatic relations one of the most detailed and insightful accounts of the count of St Germain comes from Horus Walpole a British writer and politician Walpole first encountered the account in London in the mid 1740s and later described him in his letters and Memoirs he characterized sanderman as a man of quality with extraordinary linguistic abilities and a profound knowledge of various Sciences according to Walpole the count spoke Italian and French with ease although neither was his native tongue and he quickly learned to understand polish and English one of the most widely recognized aspects of the count of s's talents was his musical ability he was an accomplished violinist and composer St germain's musical talents were highly regarded by his contemporaries including King Louis V 15th who reportedly enjoyed his performances immensely but even Above music the count is perhaps best known for his knowledge of alchemy Alchemy was a field that sought to transform base medals into gold and discover the Elixir that would Grant immortality while there is no concrete evidence to support his claims Alchemy plays a significant role in the Count's Legend additionally s gerain claimed to possess the philosopher Stone a mythical substance Central to alchemical traditions this claim along with his reported ability to create gold and precious gems fueled rumors of his supernatural abilities although Skeptics thought this was all Bs many of his contemporaries were convinced of his powers doce Maria alavez a 5-year-old girl from Bridgeton New Jersey disappeared on September 16th 2019 while playing in a park her sudden disappearance sparked a massive search and widespread media attention despite extensive efforts by law enforcement and the community Dolce remains missing on the warm afternoon of September 16th 2019 Dolce Maria Al's family decided to spend some time at Bridgton City Park a popular local spot for families Dy her three-year-old brother and an 88-year-old family friend went to the park with dls's Mother NOA alavez Perez as the children played on the playground NOA stayed in her car parked approximately 30 yards away with her younger sister who was helping with some homework around 4:20 p.m. Noma noticed that dulsey was no longer visible initially thinking that dolsey might be hiding or playing out of sight she began to search the immediate area but quickly grew worried when she couldn't find her daughter nma's Panic increased as minutes passed without any sign of duli she then called police to report her daughter missing officers arrived at the scene to begin an extensive search of the park and its surroundings they interviewed Park visitors and residents nearby hoping to gather any information that could lead to the child's whereabouts the search efforts intensified quickly officers canvased the park nearby wooded areas and bodies of water using ground search teams and aerial support with thermal imaging technology despite the extensive search no immediate Clues surfaced regarding dol's location the day after her disappearance an amber alert was issued providing the public with information about dully and a potential suspect the alert described a light-skinned Hispanic male around 5' 6 in tall he had been seen leading a young girl to a red van this description was based on witness reports from the park in the days following the issuance of the Amber Alert local police the FBI and countless volunteers from the community continued their search for duli despite their efforts no immediate breakthroughs occurred leaving the community in a state of anxious uncertainty the initial days following The Disappearance saw a lot of activity law enforcement officials released surveillance footage from a nearby convenience store showing doualy on the day she vanished this footage showed the girl in a yellow shirt with an elephant on the front black and white pants and white sandals Witnesses were also urged to check their phones for any photos or videos taken in the park around the time of The Disappearance hoping to uncover potential leads but the investigation struggled to make significant progress to Aid in the ongoing search the FBI and local authorities peed periodically released age progression photos of duli these images created by forensic artists showed how douy might look as she Grew Older the first age progression photo was released about a year after her disappearance depicting her as a six-year-old subsequent photos have continued to update her appearance these photos have been crucial in maintaining public awareness and generating New Leads as they help the public visualize how duli might appear today the FBI's behavioral analysis unit also contributed by developing profiles of potential suspects in the years since dls's disappearance investigators have continued to follow up on New Leads and tips these efforts have included traveling out of state to pursue potential sightings and working with International agencies when necessary the Falcon Lake incident which occurred on May 20th 1967 near Falcon Lake in Manitoba Canada is one of the better documented and widely debated UFO Encounters this event centers on an industrial mechanic and amateur geologist named Stefan mikac Stefan reported a close encounter with a UFO that left him with severe physical injuries the incident Drew extensive attention from the media and the public and prompted serious investigations by both Canadian and American authorities Stefan mikac was born in Poland and immigrated to Canada after World War II he settled in Winnipeg Manitoba where he worked as an industrial mechanic Mika techn skills and perfectionist nature earned him a reputation as a reliable and competent man these qualities also extended to his passion for Geology where his careful approach and Keen observational skills made him a successful amateur geologist his interest in geology often took him into the Wilderness around Falcon Lake where he would search for valuable minerals such as quartz and silver on May 20th 1967 mikac embarked on a routine prospecting trip near Falcon Lake in Manitoba mikac had had frequently visited the area so he had a thorough knowledge of the terrain that day however his usual trip took an unexpected and shocking turn as mikac explored the Wilderness he suddenly noticed two cigar-shaped objects descending from the sky the objects appeared to hover momentarily before One landed on a Flat Rock approximately 150 ft away from where he stood initially mikac assumed the objects were experimental military aircraft driven by curiosity and a sense of Duty to help potential distressed Pilots mikac approached the landed craft the craft was disc-shaped metallic and emitted a soft glow its exterior was smooth and seamless with no visible rivets or welds one particularly striking feature was a door that appeared open mikac claimed that he could hear muffled voices through it he called out in English Russian and polish hoping to communicate with whoever might be inside despite his attempts there was no response from the Craft's occupants mikac reached out to touch the craft he noted a grid-like pattern of holes on its surface arranged in a precise and orderly fashion as his gloved hand made contact with the object he was suddenly blasted with a forceful jet of hot air or gas from these holes the intense heat and pressure knocked him to the ground and his clothes immediately caught fire in a State of Shock and pain molak managed to extinguish the Flames by tearing off his burning shirt the craft then began to ascend emitting a loud woring noise before it disappeared into the sky upon seeking medical attention it became clear that his injuries were severe and consistent with his account of being exposed to a hot noxious gas mikac suffered from first and second degree burns on his chest and abdomen which were arranged in a distinctive grid pattern that matched the exhaust vents of The Craft he described doctors at the Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg treated mikac for his Burns and noted other symptoms indicative of a severe physical reaction mikac experienced intense nausea headaches weight loss and general malaise which persisted for weeks despite thorough medical examinations the exact cause of his symptoms remained unknown though radiation poisoning was considered a possibility given the nature of his injuries and the subsequent findings at the site molac shirt and glove both damaged during the encounter were preserved as physical evidence in the aftermath of the incident investigators from multiple agencies including the RCMP the rcaf and the United States Air Force visited the their investigations included the collection of soil and vegetation samples notably they discovered a piece of radioactive metal melted into a rock at the Landing site the presence of this radioactive material was unusual and made the case all the more intriguing The Landing site itself showed signs of disturbance investigators noted that the area where the craft had landed had no Moss or vegetation which was a stark contrast to the surrounding area this patch suggested that something weird had indeed occurred there and mikac was telling the truth initially the official response from the Canadian government regarding the Falcon Lake incident was dismissive authorities suggested that the event might have been a hoax or a misidentification of a conventional aircraft this skepticism was not unusual for the time as the 1960s saw many UFO reports that were often quickly debunked or ignored by the government the public however was slower to dismiss mikel's detailed and disturbing account as public pressure and interest from us o enthusiasts grew the government started to shift its stance various governmental departments started to take mok's claims more seriously this was in large part due to the physical evidence and The Unexplained nature of his injuries Declassified documents from years later revealed the extent to which the Canadian government and other investigative groups had been involved in the case behind the scenes these Declassified documents indicated that the incident had indeed been the subject of serious investigation despite the substantial physical evidence and Stephan Mika's credible testimony the Falcon Lake incident understandably has attracted a lot of skepticism one of the primary arguments is that molok might have encountered a military aircraft given the period during which the incident occurred the 1960s saw a lot of testing of equipment in remote areas Skeptics suggest that mikac may have stumbled upon a secret military exercise or an experimental aircraft leading to his encounter the hot gas or air blast he experienced could have been the result of a jet engine or exhaust from such a craft another explanation posited is that mikac might have been the victim of a natural phenomenon such as ball lightning ball lightning is a rare and poorly understood atmospheric electrical phenomenon that can produce intense heat and light Skeptics argue that mikac could have witnessed ball lightning which might explain the burns and the environmental impact observed at the site some Skeptics have gone further suggesting that the entire incident might have been a hoax created by mik himself this theory is often supported by pointing out potential motivations such as seeking attention or financial gain however this explanation is weakened by several factors mikac was known to be a serious and credible individual with no history of making Sensational claims moreover the severe and painful injuries he sustained along with his consistent and detailed testimony make it unlikely that he would have deliberately inflicted such harm upon himself for benefits despite these alternative explanations none have been able to fully account for all aspects of the Falcon Lake incident the death of 16-year-old Elsie Walker in 1928 has stunned and Confused the public and investigators for decades despite extensive inquiries and public interest the circumstances surrounding her death remain unresolved there is suspicion that her cousin William Bailey may have played a role this cousin was also later convicted of another heinous crime making him look all the more suspicious Elsie Walker was born into a typical New Zealand family in the early 20th century by the time of her death she was living with her uncle and Aunt in papamoa a rural area near taranga in the Bay of Plenty region Elsie was described as a normal well-behaved teenager known for her cheerful attitude and good manners she was not known to have any history of running away or being involved in any rambunctious activities which made her sudden disappearance on October 1 1928 all the more shocking to her family and community in papamoa Elsie attended the local school and participated in community activities she was a well-liked student and her life was typical of many rural New Zealand teenagers of the time centered around family school and Community papamoa during the 1920s was a small close-knit community primarily engaged in farming and agriculture the people of papamoa were known for their camaraderie and support towards one another The Walker family was well integrated into this community Elsie's uncle and Aunt with whom she lived were respected members of the local Society they were known for their hospitality and involvement on the morning of October 1st 1928 Elsie Walker left her uncle and aunt's home without telling anyone where she was going it was a seemingly ordinary day and she did not inform anyone of specific plans her family grew increasingly worried when she did not return home by evening given her regular and predictable routine her her failure to come back was immediately alarming her family searched the immediate vicinity questioning neighbors and checking common places she might visit as the hours passed with no sign of Elsie the family notified the local authorities and a more extensive search was initiated the papaa community quickly got involved in the search search parties were organized comprising family members neighbors and local volunteers they scoured the surrounding farmlands forests and any areas where she might have wandered despite these extensive efforts there were no immediate clues about Elsie's whereabouts the lack of any substantial leads in the early stages of the search added to the growing anxiety and fear among her family on October 5th 5 days after Elsie disappeared her body was discovered in a disused quarry in Tamaki a suburb of Auckland approximately 200 Mi away from papamoa the discovery was made by a group of school boys who stumbled upon her body while exploring the area the location where her body was left confused investigators given this this was a considerable distance from where she had disappeared the initial examination of the body revealed no visible signs of violence however a subsequent medical examination uncovered a fractured skull the cause of death remained undetermined with Pathologists ruling out natural causes but unable to specify whether the Blow To The Head was accidental or homicidal the police cordoned off the area and began a thorough search for any clues that might indicate what had happened to her the Quarry where Elsie's body was found was scoured for evidence investigators looked for any signs of a struggle Footprints or other physical evidence that might shed light on how she ended up there however the crime scene did not yield any substantial Clues the fractured skull was the only significant finding from the initial examination but it did not provide enough information as to the specifics of Elsie's death a Coroner's inquest was held in January 1929 to examine the circumstances surrounding Elsie Walker's death the inquest was highly publicized and attended by many the inquest aimed to determine the cause of death and whether any Foul Play was involved during it various Witnesses were called to testify including family members neighbors and medical experts the coroner FK hunt attempted to piece together The Limited evidence available the medical examination had revealed a fractured skull but there were no definitive signs of violence or struggle on Elsie's body one of the key figures in the investigation was William Alfred Bailey Elie's cousin Bailey's involvement in the case Drew significant attention due to his later convic for the murders of Samuel and cristel Leakey in 1933 at the time of Elie's disappearance and death Bailey was thoroughly investigated by the police his testimony and Alibi were scrutinized and his movements during the period of Elie's disappearance were closely examined despite thorough investigations no concrete evidence linked him to Elie's death and he was never charged however his later criminal activities and conviction for the Lakey murders kept him in the public and police spotlight as a potential suspect in Elsie's case The Disappearance of the Gil family from Entre Rios Province Argentina on January 13th 2002 remains one of the most puzzling cases in the country's history the family of six comprising of Ruben mencho Gill his wife Margarita Galos and their four children Maria ofalia Oswaldo Jose Sophia Margarita and Carlos Daniel vanished without a trace the Gil family lived in the rural area of La candeleria Estancia located in antre Rios Province Reuben Gil known locally as mencho worked as a farmand on the estate owned by Alonso goet described as a hardworking and socialable individual reuin was well-liked within the community his wife Margarita worked at a local school the couple's children were all known to be cheerful and well- behaved the family's life in La candalaria appeared to be normal however in the days leading up to their disappearance some neighbors noted a change in Reuben's demeanor normally described as happy and talkative Reuben was seen as unusually quiet and pensive this shift in Behavior coupled with the family's sudden and complete disappearance raised immediate concerns among those who knew them on January 13th 2002 the gills seemingly vanished from their home they left behind all their possessions including money and important documents which made the idea of a voluntary departure highly unlikely additionally Margarita had not collected her recent salary from her job at the school further suggesting that their disappearance was not planned when family members specifically Ruben's sister Louisa Gill reported their absence to the police it marked the beginning of a long and complex investigation concerned about her brother and his family's sudden and complete lack of communication Louisa approached the local authorities in viale a town in the Entre Rios Province to file a missing person's report the police initially responded by classifying the case as a standard missing person's investigation but as details emerged it became clear that this was no ordinary case the case was initially placed under the jurisdiction of Justice Jorge Sebastian Galino early on the lack of immediate leads and the apparent absence of any obvious reason for the family's disappearance confused investigators despite conducting initial searches of the family's home and surrounding property no significant evidence was uncovered that could provide clues to their whereabouts or explain the circumstances of their disappearance in the initial months following The Disappearance local police and investigators conducted several searches of La Candelaria Estancia where the Gil family resided these searches aimed to uncover evidence that might indicate Foul Play or suggest a direction for digging further however these early efforts yielded little information and the case grew cold the investigation received renewed attention in 2003 when Justice Galino ordered a more thorough examination of the family's home and surrounding areas this decision was influenced by the persistent efforts of the Gil family's relatives who continued to push for a deeper investigation the searches during this period included interviews with neighbors and other residents and a review of the family's financial and personal records unfortunately these efforts did not result in any significant breakthroughs one of the first major comprehensive searches of La condaria Estonia occurred in 2008 this search was more extensive and utilized Advanced forensic techniques in an attempt to uncover hidden evidence investigators raised floorboards dug Wells and employed aluminol a chemical that glows blue when it comes into contact with blood to detect any traces of blood that might not be visible to the naked eye during this search several blood samples were found however subsequent genetic testing revealed that these samples did not match the genetic profiles of the Gil family this finding suggested that the blood could have been from another source or that the samples had been contaminated over time the contamination could have been due to various factors including environmental exposure or mishandling during the collection process additionally flies around the areas where blood was detected raised suspicions flies are often attracted to human cavers and their presence suggests that there might have been human decomposition at some point despite this no human remains were found during the search leaving investigators without concrete evidence to support the theory of Foul Play in 2015 the case was transferred to judge Gustavo aosta who along with prosecutor federo uruburu decided to restart the investigation with a fresh perspective this transfer marked another significant phase in the investigation as the new judicial team brought Renewed Energy and resources to the case one of the first actions of Judge easta and prosecutor ururu was reexamining the evidence and conducting new searches of the property they employed a modern technology including drones to photograph and Survey the area these aerial photographs were compared with satellite images from 2002 to identify any changes in the landscape that might indicate Disturbed soil or hidden Graves no new evidence was found that could conclusively explain The Disappearance throughout the investigation Alfonso goet the owner of La condaria Estancia remained a person of interest Go's actions and statements raised suspicions particularly his report of the family's disappearance 3 months after it occurred gwet claimed that the gills had left for a vacation which was inconsistent with his usual practice of granting only short leaves to his workers during the 2008 search investigators found that the mattresses in the Gil family's home had been burned and were stained with blood G's explanation for this was that he had burned the mattresses because they were old and dirty but this did not account for the presence of blood these inconsistencies along with Go's strained relationship with Reuben led many to suspect his involvement in the family's disappearance however despite multiple searches of his property and intense scrutiny no concrete evidence was found to implicate him in in the crime directly G's death in a car accident in 2016 further complicated the investigation some believed that he might have taken crucial information to his grave in February 2018 another significant search operation was conducted following a lead from Armand Nani a rural contractor who claimed to have seen Ruben Gil expressing concerns about Wells he had been ordered to dig shortly before the family's disappearance this search included inspecting a water well on the property but only animal bones were found Armando also mentioned a stream on the property which was to be investigated pending judicial approval this search operation involved a team of firefighters who investigated the stream looking for any signs of human remains or other evidence the search did not yield any new findings yet again resources were spent without any meaningful results the psychological state of the family particularly Reuben Gil was also a point of Investigation Witnesses reported that Reuben had appeared unusually troubled in the days leading up to The Disappearance this change in Behavior was noted by neighbors and colleagues who described him as typically happy and sociable the investigation included a psychological autopsy through which a forensic psychologist concluded that the gills had no psychological or religious motives to sever ties with their loved ones however the psychologist noted that Reuben's altered demeanor might have indicated underlying stress or concerns that were not outwardly apparent the investigation also considered so iological factors such as the family's relationship with the local community and their social standing the gills were known to be relatively private with limited interaction with other families in the area this isolation combined with the rural setting may have contributed to the difficulty in gathering information and understanding the full context of their disappearance on November 10th 1951 Kenneth Jr David and Danny Klein left their home in minneapolis's North Side neighborhood to play at farview Park located just a few blocks away the boys were dressed for the cold weather with Kenneth Jr in a red jacket and red stocking cap David in a blue jacket and Danny in a red snowsuit their older brother Gordon was supposed to meet them at the park after finishing a project but found no sign of them when he arrived the boys's ages ranged from Kenneth being 8 and Dany being the youngest at four when the boys did not return home by evening their parents Betty and Kenneth senior grew increasingly worried and contacted the Minneapolis Police at that time it was standard procedure for police to wait to 24 hours before launching a fullscale search for missing persons despite this family members and neighbors began an immediate search calling out the boys' names and checking with friends and relatives the following day the police initiated a more thorough investigation search efforts were focused around far View Park and the nearby Mississippi River volunteers police officers and firefighters combed the area but their initial searches yielded nothing tracking dogs were brought in and traced the boys sent to the River's Edge raising fears that they had fallen into the water during the search two hats that the boys had been wearing were found near the Mississippi River close to a dam this discovery heightened concerns that the boys had drowned additionally two Roman Catholic catechisms belonging to the boys were found on a brush pile near the riverbank despite extensive searches including lowering the water level and using boats divers and even airplanes no further Evidence was found the search was called off on November 16th just 6 days after the boys had disappeared the police concluded that the boys had likely drowned although no bodies were ever recovered Kenneth Senor and Betty Klein refused to accept the police's conclusion without more definitive evidence from the moment the police called off the official search the Klein family took matters into their own hands Kenneth and Betty initiated their search operations they organized a neighborhood search parties scouring Parks backyards and Riverbanks hoping to find any clues that might lead to their sons they knocked on doors spoke to anyone who might have seen or heard something and followed up on every potential lead no matter how small the family's home became a central hub for the search efforts they set up a Command Center in their living room complete with maps photographs and a log of all the tips and sightings reported by the public Betty Klein carefully documented every detail ensuring that no piece of information was overlooked deter determined to keep the case in the public eye the Klein family placed numerous advertisements in local newspapers these ads often featured photographs of Kenneth Jr David and Danny alongside heartfelt pleas for information the advertisements offered rewards for any leads that could help locate the boys hoping to incentivize people to come forward with useful information over the years various theories have emerged regarding The Disappearance of the kleim brothers these range from accidental drowning to Foul Play Each theory has been scrutinized by in instigators the media and the public but none have conclusively solved the mystery we already mentioned the first one that being drowning but the lack of physical evidence does lead to skepticism another theory is that the Klein brothers were abducted this Theory gained traction over the years as The Accidental drowning scenario seemed less plausible the idea that the boys were taken by someone either a stranger or someone they knew has been explored extensively by investigators and the media one of the more disturbing theories involves the possibility of Foul Play by someone the boys knew some evidence suggests that the boys Trail did not end at the river but rather near the Northside police station this discrepancy has led to speculation that the boys might have been abducted and taken elsewhere this theory is bolstered by reports that the tracking dogs followed the boys sent to locations away from the river including near the police station a particularly controversial aspect is the potential involvement or negligence of local law enforcement there have been claims that the initial investigation was was not thorough enough and that important evidence might have been overlooked or mishandled the fact that the case was closed so quickly without conclusive evidence has led some to question whether there was a cover up or a failure to adequately investigate certain leads Jennifer Mary beard was a 25-year-old British school teacher who vanished on December 31st 1969 while hitchhiking on the south island her body was discovered Weeks Later under the hos River Bridge leading to one of the largest manhunts in New Zealand's history despite extensive investigations and several leads over the years her killer has never been brought to Justice Jennifer beard was born in 1944 in Sheffield England after completing her education she pursued a career in teaching which led her to travel extensively in the late 1960s beard decided to explore the world beyond the United Kingdom and moved to Tasmania Australia where she worked as a teacher at a Christian School Jennifer was described by friends and colleagues as adventurous kind-hearted and dedicated to her career in December 1969 Jennifer beard went on a holiday to New Zealand she planned to travel across the country visiting various tourist spots and ultimately meeting her fiance rege Williams in Inver Cargill her plans involved hitchhiking which was a common practice at the time in order to stick to her budget around mid December Jennifer arrived in Christ Church New Zealand 6 days later on December 25th Christmas Day it's believed that Jennifer may have attended church services or spent the day amongst locals the exact details that day are a bit unclear sometime between the 27th to 29th Jennifer began hitchhiking south from Christ Church she made her way through various small towns interacting with numerous people along the way during this period several unconfirmed sightings of Jennifer were reported as she traveled towards the West Coast on December 30th Jennifer was seen at Arthur's pass a mountain pass in the Southern Alps of the sou Island Arthur's pass is a remote and rugged area popular among hikers and tourists here Jennifer was seen by several witnesses and she was reported to be in good spirits eager to continue her Adventure after leaving Arthur's pass she continued towards the West Coast aiming to reach hust that evening she checked into the Fran ysep motor camp the camp records confirmed that she spent the night there where she likely rested and prepared for the next day's travel on New Year's Eve Jennifer left the France ysf motor camp and resumed hitchhiking on the host Pass highway Witnesses reported seeing her with a man driving a green voxal veilo this sighting was crucial as it provided the last confirmed instance of Jennifer being alive the man driving the voxal vlocks became a significant focus of the investigation Witnesses described him as being in his late 30s or early 40s of medium build and possibly wearing a hat the car was described as an older model which helped narrow down the list of potential suspects then during the first couple weeks of 1970 Jennifer's family and friends grew increasingly worried because they had not heard from her her fiance re Williams who was waiting for her in invercargill reported her missing to the police the authorities launched a search operation but the rugged and vast terrain of the West Coast made the search extremely challenging numerous tips and sightings were reported but none led to Jennifer the local media also covered the case extensively urging anyone with information to come forward a breakthrough occurred on J January 19th when a South Canterbury family on holiday stopped near the host River Bridge their young daughter noticed a woman without clothes under the bridge initially the family thought it might have been a couple engaging in private activities and did not investigate further however after hearing about Jennifer's disappearance they reported the sighting to the police acting on this tip authorities discovered Jennifer's decomposed body under the host River Bridge the state of decomposition suggested she had been killed shortly after she was last seen her body was partially buried and her clothing had been removed indicating a motivated attack detective inspector EMT Mitten who led the investigation described the area as massive and highlighted the difficulties posed by the vast and dense Wilderness the search teams had to contend with bad weather with reports of rain falling at the rate of an inch per hour which further complicated their efforts the initial investigation focused on piecing together Jennifer's movements leading up to her disappearance police interviewed hundreds of people including those who had seen Jennifer hitchhiking and staying at various locations along her route these interviews provided crucial information but also highlighted the transient nature of the witnesses many of whom were tourists or Travelers passing through the area the autopsy revealed that Jennifer had been strangled and her body showed signs of a sexual assault her clothing had been removed and her body was partially buried under the host River Bridge the level of decomposition suggested she had been killed shortly after her disappearance on December 31st 1969 forensic experts faced significant challenges due to the advanced state of decomposition which made it difficult to determine the exact time of death however the condition of the body indicated that Jennifer had been exposed to the elements for several weeks several suspects were identified during the investigation despite extensive efforts none of the suspects were conclusively linked to the crime and the investigation faced numerous dead ends one suspect was named John Barlo Barlo emerged as an early suspect due to his criminal background and a physical resemblance to the man seene with Jennifer beard Barlo had a history of violent Behavior which made him a person of interest however after extensive questioning and investigation the police were unable to find concrete evidence linking him to Jennifer's murder Bar's Alibi and lack of direct evidence meant he could not be charged the second suspect was named Alec Moyer Alec lived in the vicinity of the host pass area his behavior during the the time of Jennifer's disappearance was described as erratic which raised suspicions however the investigation into Alex's activities did not yield any substantial evidence connecting him to the crime despite being a person of interest Alec was eventually cleared of any involvement due to the lack of concrete evidence another suspect was named Gordon Bray for many years Bray was considered the prime suspect in Jennifer Beard's murder Witnesses reported seeing a man fitting his description with Jennifer around the time of her disappearance Bray was known to have been in the area at the time driving a car similar to the green voxal vlocks that Witnesses had described after being questioned multiple times and the compelling witness statements the evidence against Bray was largely circumstantial the police were reluctant to prosecute based on the fear that a not- guilty verdict could prevent future charges if new evidence emerged Bray maintained his innocence until his death in 2003 and the lack of concrete evidence meant that the case against him never moved forward then there was Reginald wildbore in 2003 a new lead surfaced when Reginald wildbore allegedly confessed to a close friend that he had killed Jennifer beard wildbore was due to be arrested for unrelated crimes shortly before he committed Su his confession brought renewed interest in the case but with wild boore deceased the confession remained speculative without further corroborative Evidence the police were unable to substantiate the confession with physical evidence and the case remained unresolved the great sheep Panic of 1888 is a strange event that has puzzled historians scientists and enthusiasts for over a century on the evening of November 3rd 1888 thousands of sheep in the southern counties of England notably Oxfordshire birkshire and buckinghamshire suddenly and inexplicably panicked this event led to widespread chaos with sheep breaking out of their pens and running wildly across the countryside despite numerous theories the cause of this mass panic remains unclear the Panic began at approximately 8:00 p.m. on one November night farmers and residents reported a strange droning noise just before the Sheep began to panic Witnesses describ the noise as a low Rumble unlike anything they had heard before by the following morning the Sheep were found scattered across a wide area some still panting with Terror under Hedges and many crowded into corners of fields miles from where they had been the previous evening contemporary reports such as those in various local newspapers indicated that the Panic affected a large geographical area covering over 200 square miles the widespread nature of the event ruled out causes such as pranksters or individual Predators several theories have been proposed to explain the great sheep Panic ranging from natural phenomena to the supernatural however none have provided a definitive answer one of the earliest theories suggested that an earthquake or seismic Tremor might might have caused the Panic earthquakes can produce lowf frequency sounds that are sometimes audible to animals but not humans however there were no records of seismic activity in Southern England on the night of November 3rd 1888 additionally an earthquake of sufficient magnitude to cause such Widespread Panic would likely have been felt by humans and caused other noticeable effects which were not reported another plausible explanation is that unusual weather conditions frighten the Sheep some witnesses reported flashes of light on the night of the panic suggesting that a sudden storm might have startled the animals however weather reports from that time do not indicate any particularly unusual weather patterns that night the darkness itself was described as exceptionally intense leading some to speculate that the combination of darkness and sudden lightning could have disoriented the Sheep a theory suggested by naturalist Oliver Vernon appan states that the Panic was caused by an exceptionally Dark Night appan suggested that a thick heavy Darkness descended over the area which could have disoriented the sheep and caused them to panic sheep are known to be timid and easily frightened and in the confined spaces of their pens a few startled animals could trigger a mass panic this theory is supported by eyewitness accounts of an extraordinarily Dark Cloud that seemed to Roll Along the ground creating a sense of utter Darkness given the Victorian era's fascination with the supernatural it's not surprising that some suggested paranormal explanations Charles Fort a famous researcher of unexplained phenomena dismissed conventional explanations and suggested that something extraordinary occurred although he did not provide a specific Theory other theories included the possibility of a meteor exploding in the atmosphere which could have produced a loud noise and bright light although this would likely have been witnessed by more people and caused additional disturbances some researchers have proposed that the event was a case of mass hysteria among the Sheep animals can sometimes exhibit herd behavior in response to a perceived threat and this could have led to a domino effect where the Panic of a few sheep quickly spread to the entire flock a similar Panic occurred in 1893 in the same region further baffling researchers and adding to the mystery this recurring phenomenon led to increased interest and speculation about the underlying causes John Wade Wagner a 16-year-old from Monroe City Missouri vanished on February 17th 1968 in an incident that has confused both his family and Community for over 5 decades John was born on June 27th 1951 according to friends and family he was a typical teenage boy on the evening of February 17th 1968 he was seen dropping off his younger brother at a school dance around 8:00 p.m. this was the last time he was seen by anyone known to him at the time of his disappearance Jon was wearing a tan and orange pla shirt tan jeans and brown dress shoes he was 5' 9 in tall weighing around 130 lb with brown hair and blue eyes Jon also had a distinctive tic-tac-toe shaped scar on his abdomen which could help in identifying him the following day February 18th Jon's truck was found abandoned in an alley off Main Street in Monroe City this location was somewhat unusual as it was not a place where Jon was typically known to park the truck's Discovery in this unexpected location raised immediate concerns and suspicions among his family and friends Jon's loved ones were already a bit anxious after his brother shared that Jon failed to pick him up after the dance they ended up chalking that up to Jon hanging out with some friends late at night and getting sidetracked inside the truck investigators found Jon's Keys coat and gloves the presence of these items suggested that Jon had not planned to leave the vehicle for an extended period as he left his coat and gloves behind despite the cold weather the neatly arranged contents did not indicate any signs of a struggle or rush to leave officials initial search efforts focused on contacting friends and acquaintances hoping someone had seen or heard from Jon search parties were organized to comb through Monroe City and its surrounding areas volunteers local authorities and even neighboring communities joined the efforts they searched Fields forests and water bodies but no trace of Jon was found investigators interviewed Jon's friends classmates and anyone who might have had contact with him around the time of his disappearance they aimed to understand if Jon had any disputes or issues with anyone that could provide a motive for foul play two young men were identified early in the investigation as Persons of Interest there were rumors that Jon might have been involved in a fight with one of these individuals over a girl both were subjected to polygraph tests but the results were never publicly disclosed this lack of transparency led to ongoing speculation about their potential involvement one prevalent Theory suggested that Jon might have died died accidentally during a fight according to rumors Jon could have fallen hit his head and succumbed to his injuries some stories even suggested that his body was disposed of by burning or feeding to Hogs to conceal the death however these theories were based on hearsay and lacked concrete evidence another theory considered was that Jon might have left voluntarily however this theory was quickly dismissed due to the absence of any indications that Jon was unhappy or planning to run away his personal items found in the truck also suggested he did not intend to be gone for long there was also the fact that police didn't publicly disclose the results of the polygraph test on the other two boys this led some to speculate that there may have been a cover up the case eventually went cold and leads dried up however the community and Jon's family continued to seek answers and push for further investigation in the year 2000 the Maran County Sheriff's Office reopened the case aiming to use advancements in forensic technology detective Tyler wheeler led the new investigation hoping to uncover new evidence or leads that had been overlooked previously unfortunately many individuals who were once considered Persons of Interest refused to cooperate which greatly hampered the investigation the Monaco Grand Prix is one of if not the most prestigious and challenging races in Formula 1 but in the year 2004 this race came with a particularly curious incident this incident involved the Jag racing team and a missing Diamond valued at approximately $300,000 in 2004 Jaguar racing was in its final season as a Formula 1 team the team had been struggling to make a significant impact in the sport since its Inception in 2000 following Ford's acquisition and rebranding of the Stewart Grand Prix team despite High Hopes And considerable investment Jaguar racing had failed to achieve consistent success on the track often finishing in the lower half of the constructor's championship standard end ings Jaguar racing had skilled and experienced Racers during their time but the team struggled with car reliability and performance issues the Jaguar R5 their 2004 car was not competitive enough to challenge The Front Runners leading to a series of disappointing results in a bit to generate publicity and draw attention to the team Jaguar Racing's head of communications nav seidu devised a promotional stunt in collaboration with the producers of the upcoming film Oceans 12 and Stein Mets diamonds the plan was to embed a real diamond into the nose cones of their two Formula 1 cars for the Monaco Grand Prix each valued at $3,000 the oceans 12's star studded cast guaranteed that the diamond promotion would be extensively covered by media Outlets the unveiling of the diamond embedded cars was a high-profile event the presence of Hollywood stars and the Glamorous setting of Monaco created a media frenzy the buzz generated by the stunt was exactly what Jaguar racing had hoped for drawing attention to the team and creating excitement among fans and the media alike ensuring that the diamonds remained secure during the highspeed high impact conditions of a Formula 1 race was a significant technical challenge Engineers worked meticulously to fasten the diamonds securely to the car's nose cones the decision to place such valuable items on race cars was met with skepticism by some critics argued that the risk of losing or damaging the diamonds was too high especially given the notoriously dangerous nature of the Monaco circuit however the potential publicity benefits were deemed to outweigh these risks as the actual race approached both Jaguar cars driven by Mark Weber and Christian clean successfully navigated the practice sessions and qualifying rounds without issue the diamonds remained intact and the team was optimistic about their prospects for race day now this Monaco track is filled with tight corners and narrow streets so even a small mistake at high speeds can lead to a crash and compromise the vehicle instantly on May 23rd 2004 the race began under clear skies however the excitement quickly turned to disaster for Jaguar racing on the very first lap Christian clean's car collided with the barrier at the mirabo corner the impact was severe enough to cause significant damage to the car's nose cone where the diamond was embedded clean's car unable to navigate the tight Corner slammed into the barriers causing the nose cone to crumple and the diamond to dislodge despite the crash clean emerged unscathed but the car was severely damaged the primary concern was clean safety once it was confirmed that he was unharmed attention turned to the missing Diamond the car was lifted off the track by a crane and it was at this point when it was noted that the diamond was missing following the crash Marshalls and team members immediately began searching for the diamond the narrow streets of Monaco combined with the debris from the crash made the search difficult despite extensive efforts the diamond could not be located the story of the missing Diamond quickly became a major news event media outlets around the world reported on the incident and the combination of high stakes racing a valuable diamond and the Glamorous backdrop of Monaco made for a compelling Story the Jaguar racing team got exactly what they wanted just in the worst way possible various theories about the diamond's fate emerged after the incident some believed it had been stolen in the chaos following the crash While others speculated that it had been lost in the debris and would never be found a few even suggested that the entire incident might have been a publicity stunt though there was no evidence to support this claim the John Lawson house located in New Hamburg New York is surrounded by mystery and Intrigue known for the Eerie mannequins frequently seen on its porch the house has captured the imagination of many the house itself was constructed in 1845 making it one of the oldest structures in the Main Street historic district the house is is named after John Lawson who was a prominent figure in the area and a descendant of one of the first White colonist families in the Hudson River Valley a major event in the history of the John Lawson house is the tragic train wreck that occurred on February 6th 1871 on this winter evening a freight train traveling southbound from Albany derailed near New Hamburg the train carrying oil suffered a broken axle which caused Sparks and eventually led to the derailment of an oil car onto the Northbound track as the Northbound passenger train approached the engineer of the freight train attempted to warn them by running across the tracks with a flag man holding red lights despite their efforts the passenger train could not stop in time and collided with the derailed oil car the impact caused a massive explosion killing 22 people instantly and injuring many others the proximity of this tragedy to the John Lawson house just 200 ft away contributed to the House's haunted reputation 6 years after the train wreck another cast catastrophe struck New Hamburg on May 3rd 1877 a fire broke out around 9:00 p.m. starting in an Alleyway between the Madison house and a store owned by Frank Meyers the fire quickly spread consuming several structures due to the presence of flammable materials like kerosene the town's people formed a Bucket Brigade and a rider was dispatched to fetch the fire department from Whopper Falls 2 miles away but the fire could not be contained by 9:45 p.m. seven buildings had been completely destroyed with the fire smoldering throughout the night remarkably the John Lawson house survived this Inferno further cementing its place in local lore as a resilient and mysterious structure the mannequins made their debut on the porch of the John Lawson house without any explanation residents and passers by first noticed them around 2003 these mannequins often dressed in clothing from different eras seemed part of a carefully curated display that changed frequently their sudden appearance and the regular alterations in their clothes and positioning sparked curiosity and numerous theories the mannequins displayed on the porch were typically female and life-sized resembling those commonly found in department stores each mannequin was adorned with wigs that match their outfits the wigs were styled differently each time sometimes in elaborate updos and at other times in simple flowing Styles the mannequins were also accessorized with props such as bird cages books toolboxes and even a plastic milk jug filled with po Perri observers noted that the mannequins were rearranged on an almost daily basis despite these frequent changes no one ever saw anyone moving them this lack of observed movement added to the mystery and gave rise to various Supernatural theories it also seemed that the weather played a role on the mannequin's appearances on rainy or stormy days the mannequins would disappear from the porch only to reappear when the weather cleared this pattern suggested that whoever was responsible for placing the mannequins was attentive to their condition and took care to protect them from bad weather one Theory posits that the mannequins are part of an elaborate art project this Theory suggests that the mannequins were placed by an artist or a group of artists seeking to provoke thought and curiosity the frequent changes in their clothes and positioning could be seen as a form of ongoing artistic expression and then of course there are those that believe that the mannequins are haunted by the spirits of those who died in the train accident there is also speculation that the mannequins were placed by pranksters or hobbyists who enjoyed the Mystique and attention the mannequins brought to the house in 2016 the mannequin suddenly disappeared from the porch of the John Lawson house just as mysteriously as they had appeared their absence was noticed immediately by the community and visitors which sparked new rounds of speculation to this day no one knows who placed the mannequins additionally it doesn't seem like anyone knows who owns the house either
