Setting Up Zoho Mail with Domain DNS

After connecting and verifying your domain with Zoho Mail, you need to set up MX, DKIM, and SPF records in your domain's DNS.

1. Accessing Admin Console
Sign in to your
Zoho Mail Admin Console
.
Sign in to your
Namecheap account
(or your domain provider).
2. Setting Up MX Records
Navigate to
Domain
in Zoho Mail and select your connected domain.
Go to
Email Configuration
to find the MX records you need to set up.
Copy each MX value and set them in your domain's
Advanced DNS
settings:
Add a new MX record:
Host Name:

Value: Copied from Zoho Admin Console
Priority: 10 (save changes)
Repeat for additional MX records with different priorities (20, 50) until all are added.
Verify the MX records after waiting 30 minutes to 1 day (you may verify sooner).
3. Setting Up SPF Record
In the Zoho Admin Console, copy the SPF record value.
In your
Advanced DNS
, add it as a TXT record:
Host Name:

Value: Copied SPF value.
Ensure no other SPF records exist to avoid conflicts.
Save changes and verify after a brief wait.
4. Setting Up DKIM Record
Copy the DKIM record from Zoho Admin Console.
Add it as a TXT record in your
Advanced DNS
:
Host Name: Copy from Zoho
Value: Copy DKIM value from Zoho.
Save changes and verify.
5. Setting Up DMARC Record
Suggest using default settings for DMARC setup.
Provide an aggregation notification email to receive failure notifications.
Copy DMARC value from Zoho.
Add as a TXT record:
Host Name:
DMARC
Value: Copied DMARC value.
Save changes and verify.
Creating New Users in Zoho Mail
Go to the
Users
section in Zoho Admin Console.
Click on
Add User
.
Choose the relevant domain.
Fill out first name, last name, and choose the email address.
