all right i'm making this video to show you what is most likely the rarest quest in the witcher 3. what about me not only are there no marks for it on the map but it is only available if you choose one of the three possible solutions in another quest which itself can be done only if you complete yet another side quest under the right circumstances so as you can already tell it's quite easy to miss the bastard hit me the first thing you need to do is to complete the phantom of eldberg contract in irenbjorn and you must do it before the coronation feast in skellige you know where the bears show up in that case immediately after taking the reward for the contract these brothers will show up to fight you they will kill the quest giver and you'll kill them in return and for that you'll be taken into madman lucas's prison just had to stop by that damn tavern keep in mind that if you don't do the contract in the right time the prison part will simply not occur you can check my previous video for more about that why do they call you madman but back to the prison now that we're inside we have three ways to get out the simplest one is to use axi on the guard outside but see lugos said my trial would be today don't remember oh i i've mentioned in my previous videos that using axi in conversations is usually the least interesting option and this case is no different so i recommend one of the other possibilities speaking of that the second thing you can do is to start thrashing the other prisoners they will only use fists against you and you won't have any weapons either but you can still use signs so you can completely destroy them if you wish but either way after you're done beating them all the guard will take you to madman lugos out of sheer amazement at your fighting skills ah four against one you came out alive it was a shame to let such a loud waste away behind bars come on maybe lucas will try you today and they say violence is never the answer however the most interesting option is the third one you probably noticed that one of the prisoners isn't named nbc look at him cast his eyes about searching for an escape but there ain't none to be found safer talking to old simon but you will not be able to get into actual conversation with him until after you've talked to the guard and realized that there is no easy way out well what do you want to help you drifter know how to escape escape me but there's other ways out i can ensure lucas will try you today you'll be free sooner or go under the axe either way out today [Music] go on pose me a favor one of the guards i can get him to take you to lugos then you can owe me a favor what do you say if you can get the guard to do that why are you still in here ah you don't know simon brambling many seek my death i'm safe from their vengeance here the time for mine's not yet right you come refuse if you choose to rather not be anyone's debtor for being a prisoner then as you will but to get the quest you have to agree so what could play a favor for a favor sounds good tell the guard to take you to lugos tell him he does that simon will forget what happened that fear star so what happened at fears dawg none of your concern just call him repeat what i said this also gives you a rather fun dialogue option with the guard hey good folk wanna hear what our brave guard did at fears though such a trap damn it how the hell did you know about it from simon brambling he promised to forget if you take me to see the y'all brambling more like simon lucille ah fine come with me so that's all you get at first there are no additional quests except for the one to help madman lugos as son in the cave of dreams in fact you can stumble upon this one on your own if you come to this location while blue boy is still alive but it doesn't have any relation to the rare quest i'm talking about so you can just ignore the cave and blue boy if you wish what happened you lick a frozen blade and instead head back to cair trolda a couple of days later simon the same person from the prison can be found in front of the inn here it's the same place where jennifer sent you to pick up your clothes and also where she teleports you after the last wish quest so you find simon again and this time he has a quest for you greetings simon lugos decided to let you go nay it was me decided to leave time's come to settle some scores and you're gonna help me a favor for a favor remember you owe me a debt pay it or cover you and your whole line with shame once again you can refuse if you wish which leads to some good dialogue same old skellige [ __ ] honor this shame on that glory to the other dead tired of it not about to let you drag me into some mess just cause you say it's the right thing to do count me out simon and don't bother me again as you will witter but beware break an oath in skellige you're likely shortening your life but to continue you must accept gotta tell me what it's about first and i say you needn't know it's honor find you to do what i say do whatever i fancy asking you my line doesn't have to rosy a future anyway but never mind that what do i do there's a lake here on art skellic near blandaire a lone hut on its shore we'll meet there it's where i tell you what comes next don't tarry long or you'll have me thinking you're trying to weasel out and you don't want simon branding to be thinking that and finally the quest leads us here it turns out that simon has had this long lasting feud with another man and we can choose to either take his side and help him murder the guy or refuse to kill on his behalf simon well i never haggled lugos horse train to get him to hand you over yet here you come to me on your own me not on me own don't know what the [ __ ] you're on about simon no matter time to get even at long last let me show you all the outcomes starting with the one where you side with simon knew you were thick brambling but that thick to waltzing to me who the hell is this geralt of rivia a witcher he's come to kill ye what did he do to you simon me to him trust him it did me wrong her son killed me brother tricked him betrayed him i swore revenge haunted him across all the aisles bugger always got away somehow till now that is high time we end the strife once and for all no more questions geralt cut him down [Music] nothing personal just paying a debt honor demands it i get that but i don't mean i'll ease your task annie he hunted this brambling a long time violent but come the end the brambling bagged you talk to yourself often hey morton at lake spend years hiding from fallen's assassins and caves on desert isles and forests deep not much company to be had there farewell witcher fill your sails always still got this sword violent not telling that no bother got plenty of time to look now you have paid your debt on your way nay normally however i play a nice gerald so i chose the other option initially out of the question simon i'm no murderer not gonna kill him then you'll die at his side best blade's not worth shite if a weak arm swinging it hey for a minute there for a minute i thought you did thought you'd kill me for a minute there so did i i owed him no two ways about it he helped me escape from prison [Music] tell no one what happened here witcher simon's got a spearside cousin on speaker rug he learns what you've done here he'll vow blood revenge won't wrestle enough not another word about pride feuds or bonds of kinship you can kill each other without my help from now on so long witcher thanks again now both options have a bit of a cliffhanger in case you side with simon there's this sword he's looking for still got this sword violent and in case you don't there's the mention of simon's ally in speakerog who may be out to get you by the way he calls him spearside cousin i think what does that actually mean is that like a brother in arms simon's got a spearside cousin on speaker rug he learns what you've done here he'll vow blood revenge but anyway um needless to say i spent a fair amount of time searching around the place for a hidden sword and also running around speaker og searching for someone suspicious but sadly i couldn't find anything so once again here's a bit of a task for anyone who's watching try finding the sword or the person in question by the way
