Five Steps to Drawing Closer to Jesus

1. Be Freshly Cleansed

• Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus: Forgiveness comes through confession and Jesus' sacrifice.

2. Be Fragrantly Consecrated

• Ruth's Anointing: Symbolized by sweet perfume.
• Our Anointing: By the Holy Spirit, making our lives like incense to God.

3. Be Fitly Clothed

• Ruth's Garments: Symbolic of best attire.
• Christian Garments: Salvation received through Christ.

4. Be Fully Committed

• Ruth's Commitment: Assumed position at Boaz's feet to signify acceptance of him as her "Redeemer husband."
• Our Commitment: Sitting at Jesus' feet, fully committing our lives to Him.

5. Be Faithfully Compliant

• Ruth's Obedience to Naomi: Led to acceptance and reward by Boaz.
• Christian Obedience: Hearing and obeying God's Word results in being received and reassured by Jesus' love.

• Be Cleansed: Surrender to the Holy Spirit.
