Al Nasser's Strong Win Over Al Gharafa

Saudi Arabia's Al Nasser travelled to the Al Bait Stadium in third and unbeaten in their last seven matches against Qatari opposition, but come into matchday five against sixth-placed Al Gharafa, having lost to Al Qadisiyah in the Saudi Pro League on Friday. The Stars League side are still without the injured Rodrigo but can rely on summer signing Joselu up front. The former Real Madrid man has two goals in this year's AFC Champions League Elite. CR7 is Alnasser's top scorer this season with 11 goals in all competitions with two coming in the ACL. Supporting him in attack are Sadio Mane, Otavio and Angelo with Talisca still out injured. Alnasser all in whites. The 19th minute of play, nice little backheel there from Brozovic and Ronaldo, denied by Sergio Rico in the Algaracal goal, it's a well taken shot, an even better save, Brozovic offside then with the follow up. Algarafa, they've had too much luck going forward here. Yassine Brahimi with a lovely through ball. Kehrida with a golden opportunity to give Algarafa the lead. He perhaps played it back across the keeper at the end. It's a good save by Bentham. Free kick here for Alnasser. Brozovic whips one in towards the back post. I think it was glanced on by Otavio. CR7. ...head to it, can't find the goal, big miss there. All out wide to Alhanah, he's across inside, falls to Ronaldo, what a block that is by Kechnida. Keeps his sight in the game, and the score at 0-0. Ronaldo cannot believe he hasn't scored there. Plenty of chances for Al Nasser, Ronaldo especially, but it remains goalless at the break here. Angelo on the ball, does really well. Great strength to hold on to it. Al-Hanam now in space on this right wing, floats it into the middle and now Ronaldo has his goal. CR7, his third goal in the competition. Had his chances in the first, wastes no time in putting that one away early into the second. Al Nassar coming forward again, real rhythm in their play at the moment, lovely one, two, Angelo! And it's another cracking goal from Al Nassar. A man bought from Chelsea in the summer, linking up with Otavio, bamboozles the keeper and slots it home with ease. Beautiful footwork and a clever, clever goal from the Brazilian. Here's Angelo again. Al Nasser starting to have fun out there now. Cross to Ronaldo. Leaves the defender on his backside. And hammers it into the far corner. His second. Al Nasser's third. And that might just wrap things up already here. Beautifully taken goal. Angelo with the vision. Ronaldo with the finish. A quarter of an hour still to go. It's a lot of a mountain to climb here. For Algarafa now. Hosolu in on goal. Will have the rebound as well and finds the back of the net. It's another former Real Madrid striker with three in the competition now. Good save initially by Bento, could do nothing about the second one though. Things going from bad to worse for Algarafa. Just before the end, Seydou Sanu picking up a second yellow. And in the end, Alnassak secure their fourth win to take their tally to 13 points and go into second place in the Group B league table for now, while Algarafa drop to eighth and remain just inside the qualification places.
