Transforming Life Through YouTube Journey

I started this YouTube channel or like revived this old one a little over four weeks ago and four weeks later I can honestly say that it has changed my life and here's how today's video is going to be a little bit different than what I usually talk about which is making money online when the reason why is because it's the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday right now and I'm gr I'm grateful to be able to to be talking to you today I want to share my Journey on YouTube so far and I'm also grateful for the fact that we actually even have YouTube because it didn't even exist when I was graduating from University and it's incredible that allows for any earning market like I'm in my 50s and I still can't believe that people can buy my stuff online from anywhere in the world and and people who buy your ebooks and digital offers or soon hopefully you'll have digital offers from anywhere they can buy them from you from anywhere for an internet connection making education more inclusive and available to people of all backgrounds so deciding to become more of a content creator here on YouTube has opened up my eyes that anything is possible and you can make money online by simply shooting videos like this I love Audrey he's quote of impossible stands for I am possible so now that the first four weeks are coming to an end of my Reviving this YouTube channel is that I have some kind of like Milestone marker to talk about how monetizing this YouTube channel how it feels for me and I hope it just inspires you and encourages you as well to just get it going okay yourself your YouTube channel so I broke up this video into three sections one is going to be about why I chose to do YouTube in the first place and my journey to starting this channel section two is going to be about the three ways three ways that YouTube has changed my life in just over a little over four weeks I know it sounds like crazy doesn't it four weeks but in section three I want to talk about the future for you and me and this YouTube thing so without further Ado let's get into Why YouTube and well why I feel I went to YouTube well a lot of creators kind of say this oh I wish I'd done this a long time ago but I really did wish I started this like three years ago and I was been thinking about it for over well over three years and so when I actually considered doing YouTube was when I started to see some of my friends either quit Facebook all together or simply add YouTube as an additional content creation Channel and see people just start channels brand new in their 40s 50s and start to do well and make money online so I also felt a calling to be more visible on a free marketing channel like because Facebook um I was kind of hiding my talents in the last few years I slowed down my business when my dad got dementia and I started to help take care of him it was a time in my life and I moved to be a block for my parents so I could assist and the one thing though is that I will never regret the precious memories I had of my dad as he passed away peacefully in a hospice two years ago and I know right now I I help my 88y old mom and and I cherish every moment with her but I'm giving you these kind of behind the scenes here context because when that all happened just over two years ago my business really slowed down because at that time family was my priority and it still is and I wasn't in the right frame of mind to run ads and watched my ads every single day so as a result my business suffered right and when you're just on Facebook as a marketing channel all the content you created and this goes for Instagram too unless you're spending money on ads to your videos no one really will see them anymore after you post them after that first day which means no traffic which is like the lifeblood to an online business because that gets you sales so whereas here on YouTube you post a video and can get views now and to like now and tomorrow and one month from now and one year from now and more so it's crazy that a video I posted just over two weeks ago has now gotten over 2,400 views and added more than 120 new subscribers to my channel and making me sales so picture it like you are planting mini seeds and fertile soil which are your videos it's like the seeds that you're throwing out there like your videos and you see the beautiful plants grow and that the fruit of your labor pays you in money you make online from YouTube like maybe from YouTube ads that YouTube pays you and from selling digital products whether it be yourself or whether you're reselling other people's digital products so make sure you subscribe to my channel here so you stay up to date on what's working online right now to make money and also how to grow your YouTube channel as I'm a huge fan now I'm going to start sharing more sharing some more tips on how to grow grow your channel heck I've also already made my first ,000 from YouTube in just four weeks and that was my original goal I figured if I could make $11,000 then you can make another thousand another thousand another thousand like rinse and repeat right and before you know it you can be up to $10,000 a month I also now have a community of over 250 people that I started at the same time I started a YouTube channel so I H I have this feeling that I'm going through this and taking all these courses about YouTube and learning so much more about digital marketing with YouTube for a reason and that reason I believe to help other people monetize YouTube and digital marketing I feel blessed to have this platform to reach people like you and it's truly an honor to use my gifts in a way that can hopefully Inspire and uplift others on their Journeys and another goal that I have with Reviving this Channel and starting this channel kickstarting it is that I wanted to challenge myself to get outside my comfort zone and commit to at least one video between 8 to 12 minutes long or maybe maybe like 15 minutes it depends how fast I talk I honestly still get nervous every single time that I turn the camera on even though there's no one else in the room like right now there's no one else in the room and I'm literally just talking to a webcam I was so scared of starting for so long because I just thought I would fail or I thought I would maybe upload one video and then see Zero views and get discouraged or scared and back out or quite simply make excuses or and this is the thing that stops a lot of us right is I get scared that people might judge me and some of my videos will get comments that aren't so good like and that's happened to that video that has over 2,400 views so fast some say I talk too fast some say they love it and they so it shows you the dichotomy of some people love it some people hey I talk too fast so the the reception of videos is interesting right so I figured I'd be like a duck and let all the bad comments slide off my back or like water and to get over my fears and just do it and take the leap of faith and the one thing that helped me a lot in the beginning was Evan Carmichael's advice that is in one of his videos and I'll I'll show a link Below in the description here to his videos but one of his videos said that you'll get better and better by just doing it practice doesn't make perfect because nobody's perfect and practice makes progress he's a great resource for new creators if you're looking to start or grow your YouTube channel and kind of need inspiration and I'll link again his channel below because he's super inspiring and whoever inspires you then then just make sure you watch their videos or listen to get inspired because we need that that uplifting every day so by practicing yourself on YouTube You're you're learning how to do YouTube and how to film how to talk to camera how to like on to like WR my eyes to your eyes like on camera and editing the video so you get better and better with with practice so this piece of advice has honestly helped me so much because there's so many times that I'm sitting there editing a video or I'm even sitting there talking to the camera trying to film a video and I just get super down on myself because I feel like this just completely sucks no one's going to watch going to want to watch this or no one wants to see this and gez I could be out right now if my family and friends are going for a nice walk in this beautiful fall crisp air and instead I'm also Below in the description you'll see a link on how to do digital marketing a total totally free training on how to make $10,000 a months and I think you'll love it give it a try it's absolutely free to to sign up and then you'll get to see some training videos after that and you can go to fast digital marketing.com to check that out and see if it's for you it's a great way to get your feet wet in this online digital marketing thing and you'll join a community of like-minded people who are changing lives one video at a time so now let's get into part two of this video which is three ways that YouTube has changed my life in the four weeks since I have started this channel to revive it and the first two things that this channel has given me is discipline and confidence I committed to do something achievable by giving myself a goal of doing one long form video a week and a long form video I mean a video typically longer than 5 minutes and less than 15 and because I stuck with that discipline it also gave me confidence I will say nothing gives you confidence than doing something that you truly weren't sure about like you have some uncertainty about it and then you then had the discipline to do it and and it's F funny because at first I wasn't sure if I was going to have enough ideas you know where am I going to get all the ideas to do these videos and oh my gosh eight to 12 minutes long so I was truly starting from square one I didn't know how to do anything and and in an effort to commit myself even even more to this I bried myself by telling myself that I made it if I made it to one month of consecutively uploading every week a long form video then I would buy myself a new top as my reward and this is what I'm wearing right now it's blue it's a i i got this top just the other day and I love it because it's a solid color and uh blue is my favorite color it kind of goes with my eyes and uh what do you think you know comment below and tell me as Some people prefer me wearing red or some other colors and uh I like blue but what do you think you know let me know below let's start to get to know each other shall we so anyways I also did that little bribe because I heard on a Mel Robbins podcast love her by the way is to give yourself a small reward to keep a habit up so I haven't missed a single week it definitely hasn't been easy there have been some Saturdays where I've had to make sacrifices in order to make sure that the video gets finished and uploaded by midnight because my goal was one you know 10 to 15 well 8 to 15 minute video by uh midnight on Saturday to be uploaded per week and I I also travel a little bit taking my mom like outings like today we went to a cute small town called petroia and saw a theatrical concert called Tony Bennett's song book and it was so good it was a lot lot of fun and somehow I found a way to fit it in you know recording this video and editing it and getting it out before midnight and what this whole experience has taught me is a third thing that if I set my mind to something I can do then I can do hard things that even maybe before seemed oh impossible to me or never thought I'd be sitting here today able to say that I've up uploaded a YouTube video every single week and I've already monetized I my channel organically but here I am and it's not only given me confidence in myself and my abilities but it's also giving me confidence in who I am as a person and the value that I can bring to others and it's cool to see my subscriber count grow and more and more views of even the past videos because if someone sees value in who I am and what I'm doing enough to hit that subscribe button hopefully that's you go ahead hit that sub subscribe button um and that alone just means the absolute world to me because then you got value and as the Tony Bennett song goes The Best Is Yet To Come the next goal is 1,000 subscribers when you hit 1,000 subscribers YouTube actually gives you a lot more options to monetize your channel so that's a cool thing so that leads into the third section of this video the future for you and me the best is yet to come my message to you right now is just post it get yourself on YouTube get visible and by getting yourself out of your comfort zone you'll start to see magic happen like I have and you know whether it takes four weeks whether it takes four months it's going to be worth it because you you g you gave yourself a high income skill as well like you really absolutely have nothing to use to lose YouTube's free YouTube's growing and growing Google owns YouTube so your videos will get found and you're planting seeds with your videos and the fruit is being able to make money online and impacting lives with what you are called to do and Heck if if you're in your 40s 50s or 6s it's not too late I'm 57 yes I'm 57 and I'm doing this hi nice to meet you virtually if I can do it I promise you can too and YouTube is not just a social media platform it's a search engine the second largest in the world world and the only free platform where your content lives on continue to grow and get discovered over time I think it also allows you to earn Everlasting as well unlike other social channels where your content Fades quickly like like Facebook right YouTube works for you 247 building an audience generating traffic and creating Revenue long after you've hit publish and here's the exciting part the e-learning industry is booming by 2025 wait till you hear this by 2025 the global e-learning market is projected to be worth over 400 billion and platforms like YouTube are at the heart of that explosive growth more more people especially in the 40s 50s and 60s the silver tsunami you know the Gen xers the Baby Boomers too are turning to online education buying digital products and consuming video content to learn new skills and improve their lives and be able to work remotely from wherever right so you can sell your own digital products you can earn from ads you can build a community of engaged subscribers who trust and value your Insight so my last comment to you is just go for it just do it and if you ever thought of starting a YouTube channel don't wait any longer right I really value the fact you've watched this video this far I value the fact that maybe you are a subscriber and and you're going to leave a comment below to let me know what else you'd like to hear me do videos on because I'm more than glad to share all the experience and lessons that I've learned on my way to making my first dollar on online and also my first thousand doll monetizing YouTube as well so M love and light to you hope you have a fantastic day
