  • Inventor: William G. Morgan (Professor of Physical Education)
  • Original Name: Mint a Net (later changed to Volleyball)

Early Developments

    • Larger than a tennis ball
    • Lighter than a basketball
    • Created a light leather ball that could easily be thrown over the net
