Understanding Prayer and Its Importance

Today we are bringing to a close our teachings on prayer routine rituals and prayer essentials. This final part and concluding part will be part three of our prayer essential number 12. If you will please turn your Bible with me one more time today to Matthew chapter 7 verse number 7. Matthew chapter 7 verse number 7, he reads and I quote, Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened to you. Read that one verse with me one more time today. Ready? Read. And it will be given to you. Seek. and you will find knock and it will be open to you. Last Sunday we spent quality time looking at four critical issues regarding the biblical definition of the door and who the door is. We now know how to ask. Ask and you will receive. We know We are to ask for the Holy Spirit. Seek and you will find. We know we seek his face and not just his hand. You know all that, right? And God's face is shining upon you. His countenance is making you brighter and brighter and your parts will continue to shine brighter and brighter until that glorious day. Can I hear? Amen. But we know who to ask. We ask God and we receive. We seek his face. and we find. But when he gets to the door, we want to knock at the door. So if the one to ask and receive from is God, and the one to seek and find is God, how do you think the door is an imaginary door? Where you bang and bang and bang and bang? No, the door is Jesus. You can't knock at him anyhow. You dare not. Go and ask Moses. He was supposed to strike the rock one time. He did it a second time. That was disqualification. If you are not here, you need to get that message and the ones preceding that message so that I do not have to repeat the lessons today again. For clarity's sake, I will add it. Very, very robust points today, beginning from where we stopped last Sunday. I'm looking for balance. Are you hearing me clearly? Okay, that's fine. Point number one, Jesus is a door of the ship. While I was listening to you two Sundays ago, Last Sunday, I said Jesus is the door to the sheep. Please adjust, correct. He's not the door to the sheep. He's the door of the sheep. See that with me. Jesus is the door of the sheep. That is so clearly stated in John chapter 10, verse number 7. In both the King James Version. And the New King James Version, John chapter 10, verse number 7. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the dog of the sheep. Now you wonder why Jesus keeps on saying verily, verily. Are they deaf? No, everyone that stood as a prophet before Jesus came said, Thus saith the Lord. When the Lord himself shows up, he's not saying, the Lord is a very, very, very late I. Say unto you, I'm the Lord. I am the door of the ship. You find the same thing in King James Version. The Amplified Version puts John 10, 7 this way. Amplified Version. So Jesus said again, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you that I myself I am the door for the sheep. Nebuchadnezzar's version, I'm the door of the sheep. King James Version, I'm the door of the ship. Then the Amplifier said, I am the door for the ship. The New Living Translation, as well as the NIV and the Message Translation. Look, I crisscross all these things to get clarity and to bring that clear thoughts to you from the Word of God, so that you know who you are, who is in you. How to ask, how to receive, and everything that relates to your work with God. In the New Living Translation, or the NIV and the TM, the Message Translation says, I am the gate for the sheep. Give me the Message Translation, or the New Living Translation, any of those. John chapter 10 verse 7. Jesus told a simple story. But they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. I'll be explicit. Then I am the gate for the sheep. Say that with me. I am the gate for the sheep. I am the door of the sheep. I am the door for the sheep. So if you put all these translations together, Jesus is the door of the sheep. It's a door for the ship and it's a gate for the ship. It's not the door to the ship, but the door of, the door for, and the gate for the ship. And you're saying, why you... don't they mean the same thing? It becomes clearer when you compare Scripture with Scripture. Let us compare John 10, 7 with Matthew 16, 19. Matthew 16, 19. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatsoever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Now doesn't that look like so much power is given to you? That whatever you decree here has to be decreed in heaven. Now, the amplified version. Does not say so. You will see that the things you can bind on earth are the things that are bound in heaven. And the things you can set loose on earth are the things that are set loose in heaven. What is that saying? You look into heaven and know the things that God will not permit. And you refuse to let it happen here. Amplify Matthew 16, 19. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatever you bind. Declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what's already bound in heaven. And whatever you loose, declare lawful on earth must be what's already loosed in heaven. Do you understand me? So don't arrogate too much power to yourself. I know those who say, commanding me the work of my hands. And you begin to command God. No, he's the commander. But see, he said, I will give you the keys of the kingdom, not the keys to the kingdom. It simply means these keys are to be used right here on earth. We do not have to wait to get to heaven in order to use the keys to open our imaginary door and enter. The message translation. put so much juice in today's Matthew 16 19 the message translation and that's not all you will have what I can't hear you you will have complete and free access to God's kingdom keys to open any and every door so if you have keys to open any and every door You really want to get to heaven to begin to do that? No, you start from here on earth. I am the door of the ship and I give you the keys of the kingdom. Is that clear? All right. There's one more critical point to always remember and that is the truth that Jesus is the door of all heavenly doors. You've heard mother of all worlds. Do you understand me? is the door of all heavenly doors. He is the access point to all of the resources of heaven. He's the governor among the nations, but he is the access point to all of the resources of heaven. This means that Jesus is the master door of all other heavenly doors. John chapter 10 verse number 9. John 10 verse 9. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved. It will go in and out and find pasture. Now the picture at the back of your mind is a house where you live. It's a door that you pass through. And you go out and know it's saying something deeper than that. Do you understand me? If you give me that verse again in John chapter 10, verse number 9. I am the door. If anyone enters, did he say through me? If anyone enters by me, he told Moses, here is a place by me. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and we go in and out and find pasture. One of my favorite songs in those days is by Ebenezer Obey. Do you know the song? You know how many will go out and will never return? You know how many will go out looking for what to eat and they'll be eating? Jesus said, if you enter by me, you will find pasture. Do you know there are other doors in heaven? Psalm 78 verse 1 to 8. Psalm 78 1 to 8. Give here all my people to my law. Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old, which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children. Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord and his strength and his wonderful works that he has done. For he established a testimony in Jacob. Don't change the goalposts. Don't reinvent the wheel. He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel which he commanded our fathers. That they should make them known to their children. That the generation to come might know them. The children will be born that they may arise and declare them to their children that they may set their hope in God and not forget the works of God but keep his commandments and may not be like their fathers a stubborn and rebellious generation a generation that did not set his heart right and whose spirit was not faithful to God. Let me tell you why this is so. There are many things I learned from my mother. I still practice them today. If a siree turned home late last night, she went to a function, I said, good evening, daddy. I just looked up. I didn't answer. I said, because you dare not come late to my mother's house. You'll be in trouble. We're not permitted. We're not allowed. My mother would tell you, Look inside your Bible. He allows men to go by their walk in the daytime and they return home before sunset so that he can release wild animals to go at night. Then you get consumed by what? Lately your Bible is there. You get consumed. Something happened to you and you begin to complain. It's because you have violated God's order. And when we are saying that with all of our heart, we are not saying to restrict you. Do what you want to do in the daytime and go rest at night. How much productivity do you have when you just do things the way you like? God has set everything in order. I'm so thankful to my mother that she taught me. So it's telling another generation. I've established a testimony in Jacob. I've established these things. Teach it to your children. Let your children teach it to their children. But they didn't obey and see what happened. Verse 17. Psalm 78 verse 17. Don't lose the thought line. Jesus is the door of all doors. But they sinned even more against him by rebelling against the most high in the wilderness. And they tested God in their heart by asking for the food of their fancy. Yes, they spoke against God. They said, can God prepare a table in the wilderness? Behold, they struck the rock so that the waters gushed out and the streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Can he provide meat for his people? Therefore, the Lord had this and was furious. So a fire was kindled against Jacob and anger also came up against Israel because they did not believe in God and did not trust in his salvation. Yet. He had commanded the clouds above and I can hear this. Is this singular or plural? He opened the doors of heaven so that what will happen? I drain down manna on them to eat and given them of the bread of heaven. Is this automatic? Man ate angels food. He sent them food. to the fold. There are consequences. They'll be punished. They'll be slaughtered. They'll be slain. But someone had made a pay down. You know how you pay down for your house? He had done a down payment long before Israel went into the wilderness. Three men came into the tent of Abraham and he gave them food. When God ate man's food, God knew the descendants of Abraham would eat angel's food. So God had everything in store. But rather than asking the door, they began to crave for wrong things. And okay, you will eat and die. You remember, fella? That was 1971. We were wearing lab windows. God keep Lagos clean. I don't know the meaning of the song. I just danced. Jesus is the door of all doors. The access point to the resources of heaven is Jesus. So if you don't know the door, the doors of heaven cannot open to you. Today, I'm asking the Father to open the doors of miracles. The doors of miracles, open wide. The doors of miracles. Open wide, the children of God are praising the Lord, the doors of miracles open wide. The doors of miracles open wide. When the children of God, the saints of the Lord, the stars of the world, the doors of the light, the doors of miracles open wide. The doors of miracles open wide. When the children of God are praising the Lord, the doors of miracles open wide. The doors of miracles open wide. The doors of miracles open wide. The doors of miracles open wide. The doors of miracles open wide. The children of God are praising the Lord. The doors of miracles open wide. The story of miracles open wide. The story of miracles open wide. The children of God are praising the Lord. The story of miracles open wide. Thank you. My friend and destiny partner, Dr. Jonathan David, had been down for a while. Now we began to catch glimpses of heaven. And the report was made to me. It sent me a very powerful 67th birthday prophetic word. And it's like, well, you get there. It will happen before you realize I read all that. But it was done. No, we started this journey together. So I asked this wife and daughter and said, surround him and let us use our faith to refuse him to go. By faith, Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter. We use our faith to receive. We use our faith to refuse. We stand in line with God's authority right now. We shot every access point. He's going to be well. He's going to be healthy. He's going to bounce back. He's coming strong. And he's going to be well. And he will come to see what he contributed immensely to the development of a new Nigeria. Lift up your voices. The doors of miracle open wide today in the mighty name of Jesus. You sent your word and healed them and delivered them from all destructions. I thank you, my Father, my God. In the name of Jesus Christ, I bless your holy name for your son, your servant. In Jesus' right name, right in the bed of our affliction. We are not asking doctors to go. We are not asking nurses to go. You made a promise that anyone who is kind to the poor in his sickness, you will make his bed of affliction. And so right now, we ask you to add strength to him and to raise him up in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank you. We collectively ask, Father, we refuse for him to go. We receive healing. healing and health and wholeness for him in Jesus mighty name. And the people said, Amen. You may be seated. Point number two, that Jesus is the door of the ship, the door for the ship and the gate for the ship was proven beyond any reasonable doubt when he rose from the dead. And his disciples, out of the fear of the Jews, locked up themselves in a room where they assembled. They knew the Jews were coming to kill them, so they went into a room and locked themselves up. And Jesus, the door, was coming to say hi. He didn't knock at the door. He didn't bang the door and say, open the door. I am Jesus. He just went through the wall. No hole, no crack, because it's the door. He did it twice. John chapter 20, 19 to 29. John 20, 19 to 29. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood where? In the midst, and said to them, Peace. Won't you run? Won't you run? When he said this, he showed them his hands on his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, peace to you. As a father, I sent me. As a father, I sent me. I also, was he sent here a weakling? A beggarly element? One who has to push, push, push before something will happen. One with a life of struggle and struggling and struggling that never comes to an end. No. As my Father sent me, so send I you. Let me read further. And when he has said this, he breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them. If you retain the sins of any. They are retained. You don't see this tremendous power? My Lord, as my Father sent me, so send I you. I can forgive sins. I'm giving you the same power. When we get into the prayer closet, you will see why you must live a sin-free life, because you can't give what you don't have. Now Thomas called the twin, Ibeji. Thomas called the twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord, he said to them, unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days his disciples were again inside. And Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace to you. Then he said to Thomas, Reach your finger here. He said, Every careless talk you make, he hears. Reach your finger here and look at my hands and reach your hand here and put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving by believing. And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord, my God. Jesus said to him, Thomas, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. Twice, within eight days, they were behind closed doors and Jesus stood in their midst. There was no hole in the wall because he's the door. He's the door. If you have read. church history, you will see what Thomas became. Thomas took the gospel to India. And when he got to India, according to church history, it was their rainy season and was bringing what they considered a strange God to them. And they asked him, you want us to drop our own gods and take your God? He said, yes. I'm going to show you his power. You see, it's rainy season. You will see rain. You will not touch the ground. The rain was falling everywhere and he stood midway. They all turned their back to their gods and received the God that Thomas brought to them because he believed. Now bless those who don't see yet. Nigeria will flourish again. Nigeria will flourish. Regardless of circumstances and situation, Nigeria will flourish again. We won! Nigeria will flow. God will heal our land. Restore us again. Nigeria will flow. God will heal our land. God will heal our land. Restore us again. Nigeria will flow. Restore us again. Whether you believe it or you don't, you will see it. In the name of Jesus, I will see you at the top. I'm already on my way there. I'm going on the upward way. New heights I'm going. Every day. Every day. I am almost down. Thank you. Without controversy, Jesus is the door of the sheep, for the sheep, the gate for the sheep. I'm going to give you deeper things than this. Point number three. In our world today, it is clear from scriptures that to step out of the natural into the spiritual requires one to be in the spirit. Now, how do you beat this? Let's check some things. The king of Israel was in his bedroom, behind closed doors in his war room, and they were discussing strategies against Israel. Then the door of the sheep came to Elisha. He said, I'm opening a door there for you to see what's going on. Was he in the bedroom of the king? When he was so overwhelmed and concerned and said, what is happening around here? I think he looked at Captain Neiman and he said, you are the last to go to Israel. He just came back. Are you the one revealing? He said, don't worry yourself. What you say in your bedroom? There's one Elisha. He's connected to the door. The servant of Elisha, Syrian army, they were deployed to go and arrest Elisha in Dothan. He went out, he saw chariots and all the horses and soldiers. He ran back home and said, alas, master, we are finished. And Elijah got up, looked through the window and said, I see. You can't see that those who are with us are more than they that be with them. The servant said, one, two. You have no wine? You have no child. There's no battalion. There's no mobile. Those who are with us, Oga, he said, Lord, look, don't disturb my rest. Open his eyes. It was connected to the door. And he said, Charlie, I'm so fired. God is going to open your eyes today. Open your eyes that you will see. Open your ears that you will hear. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. If that's not enough for you. To be in the Spirit is to be in heaven. And guess what? It's the door that will keep a standing door open for you to accept the things in the heavenlies. When I was in the UK and I saw that billboard coming from heaven with two poles and reaching on ages, Luke 4, 19, immediately I finished prayer. I knew the year 2022 is the acceptable year of the Lord. He was guiding me and directing me. I was connected. to the door, he opened the door for me to see. And before that happens, Nigeria will be delivered by judgment. He gave me a second time and gave me Ezekiel 7 the same manner. This is how I get to know the things I do. You can take my notes. Go on your website. Go everywhere. Download them if you can get them anywhere. You're connected to the door. It inspires you. You begin to see things others don't see. But in order for you to step out of the realm of the flesh into the spirit realm, You have to be in the Spirit, not just the Spirit in you. Have you seen hot balloons carrying people into the air? When you step into the Spirit, that was what this Philip the Evangelist did. He ministered to the Ethiopian eunuch, and here comes his own hot balloon. He stepped into the Spirit. The next time they would see him, he was in Assyria. There's going to be Philip transportation before we go. Because we are now laying hold of the power of the age to come. Do you understand this? Oh, Lord, help me. Apostle John was in the island of Patmos. And he had a voice behind him that says, come up here. And I will show you the things that will happen hereafter. You don't have to wait for others to palm any three from four. You don't have to wait for feasibility report. I'm not asking you to be careless with your business. But there are things you supernaturally know. Revelation chapter 4 verses 1 and 2. After these things I looked and behold a door standing what? Open. In heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me saying. Come. up here somebody you have been down for too long a time you are going up you are coming up come up here and i will show you things which must take place after this can i hear amen now with these points how do these relate to knock and it shall be open unto you that's a critical point to connect all the dots we need to go back to the story told by the lord jesus in luke chapter 11 You know, because I know you have your imaginary door, you'll be knocking all your life. Lord, we knock, we knock, we knock, we, we knock. Before we read that story, I want you to realize one of the truths I taught you, that knocking the door is unnecessary if the Lord has set before you an open door which no man can shut. I have to restrain myself today. I'm telling you, we won. Oh, Lord. I say we won. You will not die, oh. You will be there. You will say, oh, that's so full of wow. Oh, that's so full of wow. Oh, that's so full of wow. I'm restraining myself onto the victory dance. You understand me? We're going to dance. Tell your neighbor we won! Revelation chapter 3, verse number 8. There's no point knocking at any door when it's set before you as an open door. I know your works. See, I've set before you what? An open door and no one can shut it for you have a little strength. I've kept my word and I've not denied my name. Now let's read Luke chapter 11, 5 to 10. And you're going to see what it means to knock the door. Are you ready? From the, I will read five different versions to deepen our understanding of this truth. Luke 11 5, and he said to them, the title of this little parable story is, a friend comes at midnight. You look at it in your Bible, it's written there, a friend comes at midnight. And he said to them, which of you shall have a friend? And go to him at midnight and say to him, friend. Lend me three loaves, for a friend of mine has come to me on this journey, and I have nothing to set before him. And he will answer from within and say, Do not trouble me. The door is now shut. My children are with me in bed. I cannot rise and give to you. I say to you, Do not rise and give to him, because he is his friend, yet because of his... Oh, I can't hear you. Yeah, because of his persistence, he will rise and give him as many as he needs. So I say to you, ask. So what is he talking about here? Seek, knock. What is he saying? Because he said, he will say, the door is shut. God is emphasizing here, persistence in prayers. I'm going to explain that further because if you're not careful, you jump into rhetorics and vain repetitions, persistence in prayers. You know, I was sharing with one of my sons in the faith over the phone. I wish I could see him and hug him because he won. He doesn't understand fully yet. He will understand later. I said to him, have you read the scripture? Many are the afflictions of the righteous. But the Lord delivered him from them all. We will now emphasize many of the afflictions. We will now emphasize the deliverance. Then I shared up, this is the scripture I shared with them. I actually said, in the world you will have tribulation. Then we put full stop there. In the morning, tribulation. In the afternoon, tribulation. In the evening, tribulation. Lord, tribulation is all around. Now, be of good cheer. We have lost that. So when you are going to pray and knock and be persistent on the truth in order to maintain what you have obtained, you start your war from, I have overcome the world. Because we don't fight for victory, we fight for victory. You come to this end. This is the end product. This is where you see the victory. I have overcome the world. And if the one who owns you, to whom you belong, has overcome the world, you think you are under the wall? No way. Let's go further. New King James Version says, Persistence. The emphasis is persistence in prayers. Luke 11 verse 8. In the NIV translation, same story. I'm just taking verse 8 to illustrate. Luke 11 verse 8. I tell you, even though I will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity. He will surely get up and give you as much as you need. What is the emphasis here? Shameless audacity. I can't hear you. I can't hear you. Have you been there in your prayer life? No! Shameless audacity. The Syrophoenician woman. Shameless audacity. If you were the Syrophoenician woman, wouldn't you feel offended and insulted? He said, ah, children bred. Healing is children bred and it's not meant for little dogs, not just dogs, little dogs. The woman said, call me what you like. Dogs eat from the crumbs that fall from under. She had revelation from heaven that whatever is in the bread is in the crumb. I'm getting somewhere before I go. Shameless persistence. Leave the side of Phoenician woman. Let's come to our brother whose condition has identified him. Blind. You would think Bartimaeus is his last name. No, he's the son of Timaeus. But his condition is now as... Fully identify me. Blind, but to me, I'm slow and bad. He heard that Jesus was passing by in the book of Mark. The same story is Mark 7. And blind, but to me, I'm slow and bad. He said, Jesus is passing by. He said, Jesus, son of death, have mercy upon him. You can give me Mark 8. I think we need to read it. Mark chapter 10, not 8. 10 46 i want you to see the frog the crowd that tried to apply brakes on his faith now they came to jericho as he went out of jericho with his disciples and a great multitude blind batimius the son of timius side by the road begging and when he heard that it was jesus of nazareth he began to cry out and say jesus son of david have mercy on me the many how many I can't hear you. What did they do to him? Many warned him to be quiet. Shut up! But he cried out all the more, son of David, shameless, fascist. You can say what you like. I will reach my goal. I'll fulfill my destiny. It doesn't matter what you say. He's a shameless fascist in prayer because you have met with God. He has put his word in your mouth, in your heart, and you're not going to let go. I won't let go. I won't let go. I have Jesus. I won't. I won't let go. I won't let go. I won't let go. I have Jesus. These are powerful and wonderful lessons in prayer. Persistence, boldness, shameless insistence. But if you read other translations, It will be clear to you that knocking at the door is not the real intention of the Lord for telling this story. And please, or get baptized, because you are not a Baptist. It's not your son's name. You are attending Baptist church. And listen to this. This may annoy you a little. Okay. Luke 11 verse 8, New Living Translation. Same verse. But I tell you though, he won't do it for friendship's sake. If you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence. In my own living translation, you know what it says? It says, look for it. It said, if you keep knocking long enough, he will give you what you want so that his reputation is not damaged. Look, get it out. I'm not joking. I don't just read things. He said, he will get up, he will give you what you want so that his reputation is not damaged. Now, do you know what this is? I had no shoes, you remember? And my mother did not consider it one of the things I needed. She gave me no shoes. I had what they call tekuwi. Tekuwi is made of tire rubber. They will tie something to it so there's no oku, there's no it's called Tekuwi. You stand on anything. I went for interview. They asked me at Baptiste Boys, where are your shoes? Is that part of the interview? I had no. So in order to embarrass my mother, I came out. Baba mi tiku o mi o nibata. I started crying. My mother said, Look, she dragged me to wear the shoes. She bought me Apollo 11. And then we went to Nela. She bought me Night of Paris. Those are the two pairs of shoes that I brought to Lake. If you saw my Apollo 11, guys, I was causing my mother shame. So he's saying here, if you keep on persisting, And if you keep on shouting, you know what? Your prayer becomes an embarrassment to God. And you think God is like my mother? Tell your neighbor, don't let your prayer or your prayer life become an embarrassment to God. Okay, there's one more. Luke 11, 8, the message translation. I'm trying to get you off this knocking, knocking business. But let me tell you, even if he won't get up because he's a friend. If you stand your ground knocking and waking all the neighbors, it will finally get up and get you whatever you need. You know how a prayer line has become a nuisance, a noise? Hello? Tell your neighbor, don't let your prayer line become a nuisance to your neighbor. Pastor, I'm not mocking. Your prayers will come in a nuisance, an embarrassment, because you don't know what to do. Teach them properly, according to Baptist order. Tell them, don't let your prayer become an embarrassment, and don't create noise pollution with your prayer. Sorry, O Aladura. The Lord was saying more than knocking. It's a parable. Heavenly story or nightly story with heavenly meaning. Let's step further. All truth is parallel. Can we seriously describe? the reluctant friend of this parable as the Lord himself? Is it the Lord that is saying, I want you to continue to be persistent, to be seamless before I do something for you? Or truth is parallel. Let's compare scripture with scripture. Luke chapter 18, verse 1 to 8. Then he spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. Saying there was in a certain city a judge. who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Get justice for me from my adversary. And he went out for a while, but afterward he said within himself, Do I do not fear God nor regard man? Yeah, because this widow troubles me. KJV, you will wear me out. I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. Then the Lord said, hear what the unjust judge said, and shall God not avenge his own elect who cry out day and night to him, though he bears long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them how? Speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he really find faith on the earth? That if God examines your prayer life, he looks at it, he said, so where is the substance of faith here? You're reacting. You're reacting to your situation. Faith pleases me. I can't see it here. Are you saying that God is like the unjust judge and that God is like that friend who says, I'm in bed, the doors are shut? No, he's driving a point home. He already knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew chapter 6 verse 8. Matthew 6, 8. He knows what you need before you ask him. He's asking you to come. Let us reason together. Therefore, do not be like them, for your father knows the things you have need of before you ask him. Because of time, point number five. It is for this purpose, because he already knows what you need before you ask him, because he loves you, he cares about you. It is for this purpose that the Lord of his own accord has... given you the keys of the kingdom. Where are your keys? Hello? Do you have keys of the kingdom? Open your bag. Show me. I beg you by the mercies of God. Do you have a remote control for your television at home? Huh? You do? Can you use it to turn on your TV? I mean your air conditioning unit. This is your remote control for your TV, right? And the room is hot and you're now applying it to your AC. What's going to happen? And so that's what we've been doing with prayers. movie remote tv, more of internet, AC on. How would it happen? It's not going to happen. What are the keys of the kingdom? Of his own accord he gave us the keys of the kingdom. Say you have to connect me to see what has been outlawed in heaven so that you can outlaw them in your life. These keys are not physical keys. Only those who have them and know how to use them can knock at the door repeatedly, over and over again, without creating any nuisance, because they know how to deploy the keys. I would like to focus on two major keys of the kingdom. The two major keys are thanksgiving and praise. They are invisible. David said, Your praise shall continually be in my mouth. It's seven times in a day I will praise you. I showed you in Psalm 34. Conquered by the Philistines, about to be killed, threw saliva on his beard, and praise began to rise. Angels showed up. The east man cried, an angel of the Lord encamped around him and delivered him from them all. Because you don't see them does not mean they don't exist. Before we got married, Mrs. B followed me to... A client's house around here, after old, you know the place, after old punch. And we were coming from there, we were attacked. I didn't know whether they were armed robbers, or whether they were thieves, or whether they were assassins. We were attacked by about seven of them. She will tell you the testimony herself, not today. I won't say what she did that day. She died on the spot, but she will tell you later. I stopped the car, demobilized the car, and said, what do you want? And they started beating themselves. I'm not kidding. Bah! It's not him. It's him. Bah! Is that me? And then I started the car again. It won't move. I demobilized. I didn't know what I did. And here comes a truck, a Nigerian army truck, tow truck. He said, do you need help? I said, yes. Then we latched from that place outside on the, yeah, whatever it is. We latched onto the vehicle. He took us to 11 Basi Street, Aguda. And I said, thank you very much. We put the car down, rolled it in. I said, wait for me. I went in to collect money. Before I returned, he has gone. I didn't say I saw an angel, but that was God. Armed robbers came to our neighborhood. You know, everyone was still living there. They were attacking places in the home, all around. Bah, bah, bah. They got to one of my cars. Bam! They got... Move back, move back, move back. Now, there was a program in that car. And then Mrs. Big grabbed our child. I said, where are you going? She said, you're not going out. You know what the Lord said to me? Go back to bed. I said, you will sleep compulsively. The Lord said, go back to bed. By the time we finished, policemen came. He said, we want you to come and identify robbers. I said, I didn't see them. I can't identify anybody. When nothing was taken, they could just have broken the door. The angel of the Lord then comes around those who know how to praise God, and he will deliver them. Because you don't see them, don't know me, they're not there. Do you understand me? Are there not many strange spirits sent for them that shall be heirs of salvation? I was so blessed three Sundays ago. I was watching online from the United States of America. At a point, Pastor Biela took her iPod, like she had finished the message, dumped it here. She said, ladies and gentlemen, I cannot invite all of you to my wedding and to the baby dedication of my son. You'll be too many to come, but I just want you to know it's going to happen. And she started dancing. I said, this is shameless persistence. Do you understand me? That this is shameless. This is someone saying, I'm going to act like it is before it is. I'm going to dance and glorify God because it will happen in my lifetime. She finished that message. I wanted to, I didn't see you dancing. I told you. You said you were dancing gently. Shameless persistence. What? You know what David threw off his garment? Do you understand this? If you see. Blind Bartimaeus, he took up his begging garment, threw it away. When they said, he's calling you. Jesus stood still and said, come here. What shall I do for you? Lord, you should know. Now, I may receive my sight. You got it. As she was dancing, I felt like being here. To dance with those who are trusting God for their spouses. To dance with those. who are trusting God for the fruit of the womb because when this matter gets to where it's going, you are going to be acting like it is before it is. Do you understand me? There is a Laban Seriki. She was a Laban of Falcone. She was totally broken. A relationship that she had for a long time, her heart was broken. I came from the campus, from the university, and he told me what happened. And I prayed. The following day, I said, you are going to London? and you're going to buy your wedding dress. He said, but Akilenso. He said, did you hear me? I received it from the Lord. He's alive. She goes to Foscoa. He said, you are going to London, you are buying your wedding dress, and you are coming home because you are about to get married. End of story. It was what the Lord said to me that I told her. So, he said, I will prove this man went to London, bought a dress. It's a beautiful dress. I said, okay, come with me. They were going to a large ranch. I said, come with me to Foursquare. We went to Foursquare. We were worshiping God. She has given her life to Christ. And suddenly the drummer that day saw her and the Lord spoke to him. That's your wife. They are married today. Do you understand me? Who is going to act like it is before it is? Who is going to lose your mind in God? Who is going to dance like never before? Who is going to rejoice in his presence today? Because the doors of miracles are open wide. Who is going to let God know? You mean business with me? I mean business with you. I thank you, my father. I thank you, my God. King of glory. Lord of lords. I bless your holy name. I magnify your holy name. I bless you. Because it's done. It's done. The works are finished from before the foundation of the earth. We won. We won. It is done. It is done. Tell your neighbor it is done. We won. We won. It is done. We won. We won. We won. The service ended that day. And I got talking on phone with Dr. Babaji Deolohodola. We just retired from first school, my dearest friend, and he said to me, he said, Pastor Biala, they split a bold demonstration of faith today. I said, yes, I put the seal on it. The aid will be done in the mighty name of Jesus. Psalm 100 verse 1 to 5, don't sit down, done. Somebody say done. Say with me, sign. Sealed, delivered, because the doors of miracles are open, God is going to begin to perfect all that concerns you. Hey, here we go. We as a winning team make a joyful shout to the Lord. All ye lands, all ye lands, make a joyful shout to the Lord. Stop, stop, stop. Have you ever been to football field where your team and another team is playing? Tell me which side is shouting. The losing team or the losing side or the winning side. Somebody shout to the Lord. It's a goal! It's a goal! It's a goal! It's a goal! It's a goal! We won! Make a joyful shout to the Lord all you lads. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. Know that the Lord, he is God. It is he who has made us and now we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of... his pasture. How do we approach this gate? Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and to his court with praise. Be thankful to him and bless his name for the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting and his truth endures to all generations. Can somebody please shout one more time? Now I'm coming to those who have been married for years who are trusting God for the fruit of the womb. What will be their response to this message? Isaiah chapter 54. Verse number one. Isaiah 54.1 Sing! I can't hear you. Sing, O barren! You who have not born, break forth into singing and cry aloud. You who have not labor with child. Why? For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the worried woman, says the Lord. Is there anybody here singing? Are there barren people singing today? And say, Lord, I'm going to... to act like it is before it is. Let them call me crazy. Let them... Calm down, calm down, calm down, calm down. Is God crazy? If he is crazy, then we are crazier because we do greater works. Do you know what he said to Abram? He said, Abram, your name shall no longer be called Abram. I'm changing your name to Abraham and I'm changing... Changing Sarah's name to Sarah. Because you are going to become father of many nations. There was no child in sight. Are you with me? This was just chapter number 17. There was no child in chapter 18. There was no child in 19. Do you get my point? And Sarah will get up in the morning. Abraham. Say yes. And Abraham will call Sarah. Yes. Because when you act like it is before it is, when you begin to boldly declare it, let them call you crazy. Do you know what? Are you smart to be a citizen? I told you repeatedly, oh it's a faith project, oh it will not stop, did it stop? Hey, the word that created the universe is in your mouth. Let the barrens sing, let the jobless rejoice, let the hopeless receive hope. Begin to thank him today. Bless his holy name. Why is this so critical? Why is this so critical? Philippians chapter 4 verse number 6. I'm coming to point number 6. There's a big question to ask there. I'll finish today because I have no time anymore other than to round up today. Be anxious for nothing. But in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. If I were you, I would praise again. I would give him thanks. I would thank him for that which he has done, which is yet to manifest. I'm going to leave you fulfilling life. You know my five persuasion? I've taught you over and over again. I'm I'm going to live long. I'll live long in health. I'll live long in health with wealth. I'll live long in health with wealth, blessing God. And I'll live long in health with wealth, blessing God, and be a blessing to mankind. That's my five persuasion. You can't talk me out of it. Do you understand me? I will turn back to you. With thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Here is a big question. In what circumstance? And in what situation must you thank God? I can't hear you. I cannot hear you. A dear friend and brother of ours in Abuja told me he was preaching on this subject one day and a woman whose son, they went out somewhere, they were looking for the son. They found out that he had passed by the people, went into the pool, drowned there and was floating and was in church and was crying and said, Do you really want me to thank God for my child that drowned? He said, woman, I didn't write this book. You either believe it or you reject it. He says, in everything, give thanks. And for everything, give thanks. It depends on what you believe. Do you believe God wrote this? I don't understand why I would thank God for this situation I am in. Well, well, well. You want God to fix the problems that you face? Then you must give thanks in everything and for everything. Ephesians chapter 5, 15 to 20. Keep standing. If you sit down, you will drag me so slow. Ephesians 5, 15 to 20. Thank you. See then that you walk how? Circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will, what the will of the Lord. ease. Do not be drunk with wine in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. And when you are filled with the Spirit, what happens? Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Give him thanks always for all things. Give him thanks always for all things to who? To God the Father and in the name of our Lord Jesus. 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 16 to 18 i want to show you the hidden danger when you don't give thanks first the salonian chapter number 5 16 to 18 rejoice sometimes rejoice in church on sundays rejoice when we're having prayer and fasting rejoice always pray without ceasing in everything give thanks for this is the will of god in Christ Jesus for you. Not to do so every time is to quench the spirit. You remain in the flesh. Not to do so is to despise prophecy that you have received and not to do so is to cling to the evil things. When I stop giving thanks, I'm doubting God. When I stop giving thanks, I quench the spirit. When I stop giving thanks, I cling to my own reasoning and things that I've thought of. not what God had determined and said. So I must line up because when I stop giving thanks, I quench the spirit, I despise prophecy that I've received, I cling to an evil thing. Let's read further. 1 Thessalonians 5, 16 now to 22. 1 Thessalonians 5, 16 to 22. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus for you. Do not... hello you separate it that's why you don't know do not quench the spirit do not despise prophecies test all things all fast what is good abstain from every form of evil whether they are in thoughts or abstain from them hold on to what god has said because nigeria will flourish again i don't care dollar maybe 500 600 1000 is going to line up at the right time and everything will take its shape. There's going to be a change of God in the name of Jesus. People of God, sit down. Point number seven. I'll finish today at the only eight points. I'm in point number seven. This combination key of thanksgiving and praise is referred to in the Old Testament as the key of the house of David. And in the New Testament, it's simply called the key of David. In the Old Testament, it has its own dynamics and how it operates. The key of the house of David is symbolic. It's a symbol given to a man in authority. The moment you abuse power and you misuse it, it will be taken from you and given to another. That happened in Isaiah chapter 22. There was a secretary of the tabernacle of the palace, I beg your pardon, who misused his powers. The key of the house of David was taken away from Shebna. and it was given to Eliakim. Are you with me? Let's quickly read. This is important as we expect a change of God in 2021. This key will be taken away from some and is going to be given to others. Isaiah 22 15 to 25. God says the Lord God of hosts go proceed to this steward to Shebna who is over the house and say what have you here and whom have you here that you have here in this sepulchre here. He will, as he will heal himself, his sepulcher on high. Who cast a tomb for himself in a rock. You have become so established that you will live here. You will die here. Nothing can move you out of here. Indeed, the Lord will throw you away violently, oh mighty man, and will surely seize you. He will surely turn violently and toss you like a ball into a large country. God plays football sometimes. You see there, he will toss you like a ball. There you shall die and there your glorious chariot shall be shame of your master's house. So I will drive you out of your office and from your position he will pull you down. Then it shall be in that day that I will call who? My servant, Eliakim the son of Elikayah. I will clothe him with your robe, strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your responsibility into his hand. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder. So it shall open and no one shall short and it shall short and no one shall open. I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place and it will become a glorious throne to his father's house. Anyone who abuses power, who uses his authority against the interest of others, deprive them of what belongs to them. This is the verdict in 2021. This is the judgment of God. The key will be taken away from you. You'll be given to someone else who will favor others. And who will stand for justice. Can I hear amen. Somebody shout change of God. I can't hear you. I cannot hear you. I want to. Thank you. Hear me loud and clear. Those who use their authority arbitrarily to deprive others of what rightfully belongs to them, you have your key taken away from you and it will be given to another who will favor the cause of justice. Proverbs 22, 22 to 23. Proverbs 22, 22 to 23. Do not rob the poor because he's poor. Nor oppress the afflicted at the gate for the Lord will plead their cause and will not forsake them. And plunder the soul of those who plunder them. And to therefore glad that we have written for us the ownership of the key of David. Who owns it? Is it a just God or an unjust God? Is it just God? Revelation chapter 3 verse 7. Revelation 3, 7 to 10. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, this thing says, he who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens. I know your works here I've said before you have opened up and no one can shut it. For you have a little strength, I've kept my word and I've not denied my name. Indeed, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not. But lie, indeed, I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you, because you have kept my command to persevere. I also will keep you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Who owns the key of David? Jesus. What does he use it to do? To open? and to shut. May all that belongs to you be open to you. May every disaster planned by the enemy be shut against you in the name of Jesus Christ. And that brings me to the critical point number eight. And I close with this. It does not matter what happens in the world, brothers and sisters. It does not matter what disaster is everywhere. If you know how to deploy these two keys of praise and thanksgiving and thanksgiving and praise, it doesn't matter what has befallen you. You will see situations change. You will see God turn things around. You will see him give you victory in the midst of a terrible, what looks like defeat, in the name of Jesus Christ. Were you there with Paul and Silas, beaten, battered, thrown into prison, put in the inner prison, fastened their feet to chains, and put the God in charge of them? And at midnight, Paul looked at Silas. Silas said, Paul said, that's not the right thing to do. We are going to pray. We are going to sing hymns. And they began to sing. And they began to sing. And they began to sing. The foundations of their prison were shaken. And all doors, I've told you there's a door for all doors. All doors were open to them. Amazing things happened that day. Suicide was averted. That jailer was going to kill himself. It was averted. Susette was aborted. Then without preaching to him, what shall I do to be saved myself and my household? Then he became their nurse, attending to their wound. Then they baptized him and his household that night. Then he said, you know what? You are not prisoners. I'm setting a banquet before you. You are coming to my house for food. And he set food before them at midnight. I don't care what the enemy has done. Don't exchange reviling for reviling. Do you understand me? Abuse for abuse. Just begin to praise God. Just begin to thank him. These are the keys that he has given you. They swing the door open anytime because God knows you know who is in charge. I'll close with two scriptures and I'll leave you for the rest of the day and we'll meet on December 1. 1 Peter, 1 Peter chapter number 3 verse number 8. 1 Peter 3 8. Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another. Love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. Not returning evil for evil. If you have done that, you'll be cursing the jailer or reviling for reviling. But on the contrary, what? Blessing. Knowing that you are called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. For he who loves life and sees good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it. Why? For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous. His ears are open to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. I can hear you. Even if you have to suffer for righteousness, you are what? Blessed. That's why you don't look at the pain. You don't look at the anger. You don't look at the anguish. He just begins to thank God in the midst of that trouble. One last scripture, 1 Peter 4, 12 to 19. 1 Peter 4, 12 to 19. 1 Peter 12 to 19. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange things happened to you. But rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when his glory is revealed, you may also be glad with what? Exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, bless are you! For the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part is blaspheme, on your part is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evil doer, or as a busybody in other people's matters. Yet, if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. How do you start glorifying God in a bad situation without blessing him, without thanking him, without glorifying his name? Bless the name of the Lord in God's name. No matter what it means to you. Do you understand me? Because you know the judge, the perfect judge, will turn the situation around. How do you respond to this message? What's your response? Your response is to continue to knock at the door that was never shut against you. Your response is to keep on making your prayer life a nuisance or to embarrass God. I told you. If God is answering your prayers and things are working for you, they are going to ask you, where is your church? If things are not working for you, they will ask you, where is your God? Nobody is going to ask me, where is my God? They are going to be asking me, where do you worship? Where do you go? God is answering your prayers. I have only one response to everything that I've said today. Whatever may happen, I will praise the Lord. Whatever may happen, I will, I will praise my God. Whatever may happen Whatever may happen Whatever I will praise the Lord Whatever may happen Whatever may happen Whatever I will praise the Lord Whatever may happen Whatever may happen Whatever I will praise the Lord Whatever may happen Whatever may happen I will praise the Lord I will praise the Lord I will praise the Lord Are you ready for shameless persistence? Do you realize what what Bartmios did? He removed his begging garment and threw it away. Lift your hands to heaven. You're here to have heard this word. The grace to be done is imparted to you. You would do exploits in the name of Jesus Christ and you have something to show for your faith in Jesus mighty name and the people said amen.
