some of our top travel Bookers here they have so much knowledge to share with you and I've asked them to come on today and give them our their top tip to finding success in this business so I'm going to invite them on one by one to share with you a couple minutes so you can get some of their wisdom and you can Implement those strategies and ideas into your own businesses so the first person I'm going to bring on today is Stephanie cluder she is actually the person I joined this business too so I'm but join the business through so I'm honored to bring her on today she was the first director in Maine she's a fourstar director with Planet marketing she's in the centry club me she's a century Club member which means she's helped over a thousand sorry 100 I think it's more like 150 people into the business and uh she is in the top 100 income earners out of 97,000 worldwide she has over 1,600 agents on her team and she's a retired nurse who fully replaced her income with this business and is uh in our $100,000 per year annual income Club too so I'm going to bring on Stephanie cluder here first thank you so much for that warm welcome Jane and thank you guys for being here today I hope you all are having an amazing time I'm so excited to just be here for a few minutes and just share a a top tip that I thought of that might really help you um would help a lot of you because I know how you're feeling right now this is a great training right but I I know that it feels right now like a fire hose of information is being thrown in your direction but that's okay guys because it's all good stuff this is all stuff like I think Jane mentioned it when you start any new career you job shadow you go to school so consider this school you're in the right place with the right people to teach you if you're willing to learn so actually my top tip is just that be willing to learn be willing to empty your cup from what you think you know about the industry or for what you think this is going to be like if you've been in a home business before and be willing to fill it with good things because you're surrounded by people with knowledge I mean just just having Amy here you know seven years of knowledge with this company you're you're being and even Jane being here for you know over five years you're really learning from the top um you and one of my biggest tips is not feeling it like you have to know everything at once like this is recorded you need to pause and go back um you know when I guys I used to be a full-time nurse and I I retired nursing in uh 2021 to do this full-time but just a little bit about that you know nursing school was hard they charged me over 40,000 I went to kind of like a community college/university it took me about four years to complete it and at the end of my eight-year career in nursing I had topped just over 990,000 a year you know compared to this business it was a $200 investment you know it took me like four months not four years to really you know get the ropes like see this is kind of making sense now it's all the pieces start to come together like a beautiful puzzle and in that four-year period in this business that it took me to learn nursing guys I had surpassed my nursing income and only because I was willing to plug in I was willing to learn I was willing to be coachable and I would not be here now if it wasn't for you know you saw her here fourstar director Cindy bergerman pouring into me and teaching me and even just our Sidelines I've learned so much from Amy you know I've learned so much from Jane and just being um plugged in so my my biggest tip embrace the process right um plug in to what you're able to plug into um when it makes sense for you you know do the trainings that you want to learn you don't see me on Disney trainings right you see me on the trainings that makes sense for my business and and that's it just embrace the process be willing to learn be coachable and you will be very successful in your business so I just want to um leave off and say congratulations to all of you in your new business and I hope to see some of you really soon thank you J thank you Stephanie next I'm going to bring up Georgina Smith all the way from the UK she is an ambassador in intella travel and she works part-time she's a mom of three and sold over [Music] $118,000 in 20203 Georgina would you share your top tip for booking travel with us hey thank you so much and like you say I'm I'm all the way from the UK so um really for me I've been with the business now for five years and it started as a hobby for me really that was all I wanted to do earn commission back on my own travel and travel a lot more and it safe to say that I have certainly done that um but really it for me um when I started booking for clients I got disappointed by just booking a hotel here and there um but I want to share with you a little story really it was about a client of mine who absolutely loves booking.com we all have those clients who love booking.com and that where they search for you know it's used worldwide and but I just kept sharing and telling my clients what I did really um and this advocate of booking.com came to me one day and she she booked just a one night hotel with me but actually not long after when she realized that I could do all this you know it stemmed into sort of a a one week stay in Spain and then she's had a small Cruise um and this year she's actually going on the rocky mountaine a with a cruise and they're having three weeks in total they're taking the whole of May out almost and today she's messaged me and said that she's looking now for a world world Cruise um which is going to take about a third of the year so it was more about being consistent I know we're going to do social media later on but it was more about making sure everybody knows all friends and family let them know what you do don't be a secret agent because a lot of people hide and ashamed that they're a travel agent and they can do it but actually you know it's all about keep sharing what you're doing um you know I've never been ashamed what I do I absolutely love it I stand in the school queue saying well I could book that for you you know giving business cards out I'm not frightened to give a business card out but you know this client now keeps coming back and and obviously from that small booking of just a one night hotel has stemmed into almost round the world trip she's going to be gone for nearly six months if this you know it pays off and and it'll continue to pay my fees through through intell travel for months to come um so that's how I look at it however many bookings we get he just keeps paying for my fees to continue with my travel business so yeah it was just more for me be consistent keep showing up uh like Stephanie says show up for everything you can um but yeah that's all about me thank you very much for inviting me on all the way from the UK thank you thank you Georgina and next we're g to bring in Joy Simpson Joy is our newest two star director on our team that means she's helped over 300 people start their travel businesses she's been doing this for 6 and a half years she's a wife mom and loves to help other people uh Empower themselves and become an entrepreneur so I'm excited to hear a top tip from Joy for growing a successful business thank you Jane and good afternoon to everyone uh I hope you're enjoying everything so far I I think this is fascinating um a great way to get our our people started and I just want to give you one little top tip um that it's kind of a big picture tip and that is that this is relationship business and we've already heard a little bit about that from the other two speakers but really think about um you know the big picture that we are service related industry whether we are booking a trip for someone or whether we helping someone find this business and find how it can help them with their lives um so when people get to know you then they're they're more likely to trust you and so a lot of times we point our marketing at that um getting people to know like and trust you um and there's simple ways to do that we have lots of training on doing that um and you know that works at different levels whether it's you know letting people get to know you so that they know they can trust you to book a trip with them or whether it's to share this business and if you're building a team having a relationship with your te and that's the best part of this business is the relationships because anytime we ask someone what do you love about this business they'll tell you the travel or this or that but they always come back and say it's the relationships uh it's the people and we love getting to know each other here we love traveling together uh we love helping each other um whether we are sideline Partners or whatever we're interested in helping each other and building those relationships is what going to be key to your business um so just kind of think about that as a big picture anytime you're going in for marketing or to help someone in any way just remember they need to know you first they need to know you enough to trust you and then they once you build that they're more open and your jobs can be a lot easier you're going to be able to help them at a deeper level when when they're their ears are opened so that's my tip thank you so much Jo I appreciate you um next we're going to hear from Andrea Taylor she is one of our Pinnacle agents so again that means that she's one of the top 100 agents in the entire company we're actually lucky to have quite a few of those on our team and on our call here today uh she's been in the business for only one and a half years which is not that much time but she has sold $331,000 of travel in 2023 and she was one of five agents to be invited to a special annual conference through one of our suppliers and she's a stayhome mom with three busy kids so let's bring on Andrea to hear her top tip hello thank you for having me uh my top tip is pretty on theme with the others that we've heard so far um really just comes down to consistency and customer service for me um in the beginning it can be really discouraging you know if you're posting quite a bit on social media and you don't feel like you're getting a lot of Engagement but my tip is just keep posting just keep putting out that content because even if people aren't engaging on those posts they're still seeing it and they're taking note of it you know early on a lot of my first customers were people that you know they send me a message and say hey I heard from this person you're a travel agent and you know I'm looking at this trip and it it'd be a person I haven't talked to in months or even years but they're still sharing my name because they're seeing those post out there um so just making sure you know once you've got those customers keep them coming back give them really good customer customer service I had a customer that I or a client that I booked just a quick trip to a destination wedding for them for and from just this person between referrals and her coming back for more trips it's created over I think $50,000 in travel sales just this last year just stemming from that one client so really just the power of creating those relationships like Joy said with your clients to keep having them do the help work help do the work of spreading your name around to other people thank you so much Andre Andrea I appreciate that and next we'll bring up Jen Smith she just celebrated seven years in the business she is a presidential sapphire ring wearer she's in the top 100 income earners again out of 97,000 Agents she has no college degree and she's a single mom of three and a recent empty nester and I'm so excited to hear from Jen about her top tip to being successful in this business thank you Jane so much can you hear me okay yeah okay awesome thank you so much I'm so excited to be here and I'm so excited for all of you happy New Year to everyone and congratulations I know most of you are very new here but um my top tip would be don't wait to launch your business don't wait till you think you need to know everything because it's travel you guys there is so much to learn so many amazing researches that we have and I know it can be super overwhelming like I've heard of of things like I when I started seven years ago I was so super overwhelmed I almost quit I had never even booked a flight before so I was like what am I doing but I had to write down um on a list like two to three things I wanted to accomplish each day and then check those off follow the advice I would follow the advice of my leaders follow those steps completely um and then do your intell travel University that is the only mandatory training that is out there after that I know it's easy to get sucked into to all this amazing resources we have to earn those certificates for Disney or Cruise Lines or things like that but you will not know what your clients want until you launch your business so if you say for example if you're doing all the Disney training and then you're doing a cruise line training and then you launch a business then all of a sudden somebody wants to do book a cruise to Hawaii and or whatever and then you have no knowledge of that whatsoever I know it's scary get out there even if you're a marketing rep get out there and launch your business because you're not going to make any money in this business until people know what you're doing um and then the marketing side use us as upline leaders to help you you don't need to know anything all you need to do is present the information and then reach out to your upline leader and we will answer the questions for you so those are my top tips thank you Jen you're amazing and we love you very much and next we're going to bring on Jamie Tores she's another one of our Pinnacle agents again top 100 in the entire company these are the people you want to be learning from she is also a one-star director with a team of over a hundreds so she works both businesses and she is in Southern California she's a wife a mom of five and a grandma of eight and she is a professional photographer and has been self-employed over 30 years and I'm so excited to hear from Jamie thank you so much Jane well I'm so excited to be here today I remember being in the seat that you're in right now when I started this business four and a half years ago and I don't know about you but I literally could not sleep the first week I was in this business I was just so excited and to learn all of these professional tools that I had at my fingertips uh I really when I joined the business I had no idea that it was going to be this amazing uh but the one thing that I keep hearing over and over from the panelists today and what I would have to say my top tip would be would be don't be a secret agent and I know you've heard that a couple of times but that is literally my top tip that is how I became successful in this business uh you get very overwhelmed by the amount of training that is available to you and it is amazing but just remember it's going to be there forever so you can take your time do it on your own time do it in baby steps steps there's no race in this business don't feel like you have to complete everything in the first three days you know if you don't have the time just make the time fit it in throughout your day and make sure that you let people know you are in business I owned a brick and mortar business for 32 years and I treat this like my brick-and-mortar business it's an online business but I am open for business every day you know on the days I want to be right but I make sure I'm accessible to my clients I make sure that my audience knows that I'm in business I also you know keep in mind that Facebook is really where I get the majority of my business from uh know that you're going to be lucky if one to 3% of your Facebook friends or your Facebook audience reaches out to you about this business so you know look at your Facebook friends see how many you have and maybe start thinking about adding some friends that like to travel and people you know that you would like to uh sell travel to or maybe even consider having them become a business partner with you uh so my you know my top tip you're going to learn some stuff about social media training today uh you know post be consistent it can be something simple like hey I started a new business and I wanted to let you guys know about it and don't wait too long to do that don't feel like you have to learn everything as Jen Smith said uh you do not need to learn everything before you start letting people know you're in business because we're here to help you we're here to help you understand what the next step is once somebody says Hey I want to go to Bora Bor what do I do uh we will help you with those next steps of where you can go and we'll make sure you have the tools to know how to quote that trip to somebody so that would be my top tip uh don't be afraid to share your business talk to people even when you're out and about if you're in the grocery store uh make you know those connections those relationships have business cards available uh and that would be it that' be my tip so thanks so much for being here and congratulations on your new business everybody we're super excited for you thank you so much Jamie we appreciate you next we're gonna bring in Cindy bergam again we have to hear from the queen of the gold star travel crew again as she again earns over $250,000 annually in this business as a uh in our referral program our marketing business so let's hear from Cindy on her top tip of how she scaled an organization that large thank you Jane and thank you for this amazing uh Summit today it's been it's been just so um I don't know I I I've learned so much myself and being in the business for seven years um you know just when you're you're tuned in and plugging in um you you just catch up catch on Little Things uh that you might have forgot about you know that you might have learned you know several years ago so always plugging in is going to be one of my tips I didn't have that one written down but um you know it's January uh right now and a lot of times in January we set goals and create our vision boards and um my number one tip is to set aggressive goals okay when I joined the business I originally just said I'm never cruising again without you know coming home to the paycheck and um when I was able to see the actual presentation and see the comp plan laid out in front of me I said everyone needs to know about this I'm G to go all in and do this fulltime and my husband and I both agreed like let's just do this 110% and this could change our lives and the comp plan is very aggressive and uh like Jen Jane said I do focus on the rep side of the business um so if you are wanting to make a complete um you know change in your uh Financial pattern your financial path the rep side of the business is one way that you can do it uh along with the the travel side of the business um but you know set aggressive goals and just consistantly talk to people about travel no matter where you go just talk to them you know even if it's on online social media and you know it's been said you know always put those posts out there let people know what you're doing someone said don't be a silent agent I could just you know give you you know everything ditto of everything everybody has already said um but don't be afraid to share the opportunity don't be afraid to let people know what it is you're doing because they're either going to become your clients or they may have a referral for you or they may want to do this business with you back to you Jane thank you so much Cindy all right next I want to bring on Brienne Moore who you heard from earlier today she is also a pinnacle agent and I would love for her to share her top tip for growing and scaling her travel business hi there all right thanks for welcoming me back again uh so I would have two different uh tips for you guys so first and foremost is take excellent care of your initial customers that you have and reason why I say that so I know Stephanie talked about this very early today in her original presentation but there is a client that I had booked just two long weekends for that I ultimately ended up booking their destination wedding for which generated over $7,000 in commission for me and then right now they're actually on their honeymoon right now and their honeymoon is um over $900 but those folks that were a part of that wedding package they have also reached out to me too about helping book their travels for them but I would would say about 85% of my business is all referral based so take excellent excellent care especially of those initial customers and clients that you get because that will pay off in the long run so they come back from a happy happy trip and people are like hey loved all your photos of the Bahamas um how did you book that did you book yourself did you go with an agent and then that conversation starts and then your uh clients can Advocate on your behalf and then the second uh tip that I would have is treat your business like a business and not a hobby and what I mean by that is uh consistency is key in this business so if you are sitting down and you know for a fact that you've got two extra hours that you can dedicate to your business each week don't just do it all on one day I strongly recommend splitting it up amongst your days so that way each day you're doing something to work your business um and Natalie Nicole Graham who is our number one income earner she talks a lot about how if you take just one day off of your business it actually sets you behind by three days in your business goals so uh consistency and treating your business like a business versus a hobby will help get you guys where you want to be thank you so much Brienne we appreciate you too and let's hear from Kenzie King she is our two star director in Ohio it's or Utah not Ohio Utah excuse me as she loves DIY projects and lives in a tiny home with her daughter that they actually built themselves which is pretty amazing and I'm so excited to have her share her top tip of how she grew to a team of over 300 agents thanks Shane all of these tips have been amazing I'm glad we're all here today my tip kind of piggybacks off what what a lot of others have said in regards to consistency we have to be consistent in our business Jane mentioned I built my own tiny house and during that time I literally stepped away from the business and I did nothing with it and when I came back I'll tell you what guys it was like starting brand new it was like starting fresh and it was really really hard to get that business mindset rolling again get the you know the prospects rolling in again um my brother has a quote and he says if you stay ready you don't have to get ready and that is so true so with consistency your consistent might be different than mine my consistent might be working five hours a day for example your consistent might be um working 10 hours or 15 minutes or whatever our consistency is what makes sense to us and so we need to stay consistent within those parameters that work for us if we only have you know a short amount of time during the day to work on our business we have to be very effective with our time and we know we can't get caught in that scroll hole looking at cat videos and things like that we have to be very mindful about what we what we do with our time so be consistent like Brien just said it's better to post a little bit each day than a big lump sum and I really believe in that and I find that the more that people see that you are consistent they're like oh yeah this person they know what they're doing they're going to be there consistently for me either as a business Mentor or as a travel adviser so stay consistent find out what you can do uh consistently to stay consistent in your business again make it work for your lifestyle it's going to different for everybody and don't compare yourself to what someone else's consistent is do what works for you make your business profitable for you and enjoy it in the process back to you Jane thank you so much Kenzie um and and I'll share my tip too I I've been in this business uh five and a half years now and I did it around my teaching job I used to teach fifth grade and it would be nights and weekends you know after dinner before bed and and it just kind of slow slowly grew and be okay with that slow growth sometimes that quick growth is overwhelming so that's okay if you kind of slowly build up over time and and my best advice on growing and scaling is leverage your referrals okay maybe your family doesn't travel that much and to be honest my family I find are the most difficult people to book travel for I don't like booking travel for my personal family um that's just a fact I like their referrals okay my family refers other people to me you have colleagues in the break room talking about where they want to go for spring break this year you have friends who have always dreamed to take that summer trip or they're now so filled with all this clutter from the holidays they say next year no presents we're doing a family trip you know all of these people and people are talking about travel with or without you they're booking it with her without you so our job is to educate people to book through us at no extra cost to them I mean it is a win-win win so leverage those referrals and I do that in ways of saying um you know when I book a trip I say hey is there anybody you want to bring on this trip with you you know you just got a great rid at a beautiful Resort um you know it's out there honeymoon right hey bring your family with you and that maybe $500 commission add four or five more rooms you now have a two or $3,000 commission okay also re like Leverage leverage those referrals and remember your budget isn't your client's budget and I learned this the hard way because my husband and I are more on the budget traveler spectrum and I have some really high-end clients and so when they say to me oh I want something affordable affordable to me is so different than affordable to them so you have to ask those questions and say you know oh well you know what does that look like what what would your dream trip look like and and get those details from them so as you book things for people don't book it with your own lens on what you know account what a money is in your bank account uh you want to talk to your clients about the range that they're looking to spend and we'll go over all of this again with you next weekend on January 13th we have a huge Blitz it's an all day event it will be recorded teaching you from start to finish how to grow and scale your travel business and your rep business
