Using Mil Dots on Sniper Rifle Scopes in Day Z

hello fellow humanoids um in this video I was thinking to um explain to you guys how you can uh use the mil dots on the sniper rifle scopes how you can use those uh to estimate the distance of a Target so you can um adjust your zeroing uh accordingly so yeah let's rock and or roll so we have the M24 sniper rifle uh equipped it's one of the many sniper rifles in Day Z that has the uh uh M dots you can see them right here uh on the Crosshair itself um the formula is pretty simple I'll have it show up on our left here it's the height of the target times thousand divided by the height in mil dots on your scope so let's uh uh yeah first of all we are assuming that uh the average height of uh a humanoid in this game is 1.8 m so in this case it's uh 1.8 m time th000 which is 1,800 M divided by let's see divided by well let's wait until it stands up straight divided by 4 and a half 1,800 / by 4 and a half is 400 m so now we use beig down to adjust the zeroing in our right top Corner 3 two one and down let's go to our next Target again 1.8 m * th000 1,800 three M dos High 600 adjust the uh zeroing wait for him to stop jingling about please and down in this game you'll also encounter a lot of Crouch targets zombies and survivors alike uh so we we can assume as well that they are half the height of a stand Standing Up person so instead of 1.8 it's 0.9 so you have to take that into account uh when you're calculating uh the distance of a Crouch person so uh 0.9 * th000 is 900 divided by two so that is uh 450 well because we can only adjust the zeroing by increments of four of 100 um we're going to zero it at 400 and then we're just going to shoot slightly above his head there we go thanks for watching
