But the old nature, that old man, that old stinking carcass that wants to drag you back, that wants to bring you back to where you were once, that old man, that old nature is what?

It is hostile towards Yahuwah. That's what it says right here. And a person who kicks against the covenant of Torah, the Torah of Yahuwah, is cast by St. Paul as what?
As fleshly and carnal. That's what he says. There's no way around it.
You can make no bones about it. If you kick against the covenant Torah of Yahuwah, you are fleshly and you are carnal and you actually make yourself an enemy of Yahuwah. Why? Because you're not subject to his covenant that's found within the Torah. Do you want to be an enemy of Yahuwah?
