[Music] foreign [Music] so let's play E4 that's pretty good 24 20 of 14 G's okay let's play Knight F3 now this is all all normal Knight C6 now there are many openings you can play D4 Bishop C4 Bishop B5 those probably as a beginning beginner player the three moves that I recommend now this is five votes so I can explain a bit more um now as when I was growing up I played D4 which is scotch and the reason is because when you play D4 you open up the diagonals the development is very easy it's a very open position it's a lot easier to play that's that's the reason so we get D6 here um see we get D6 here um so in this position I have many options but I'm gonna play a C3 to build a big white center yeah Bishop G4 and now I'm going to play Bishop to E3 here because I want to bring the Knight to D2 to guard the Knight but I need to over protect this Pawn on D4 first so now the pawn of the bishop guard the pawn which is why I brought the bishop out first and now I go to Knight D2 which also guards the pawns now all my pawns are really guarded in the center of the board now because we're playing beginners I don't want to really like cheese them or like win the game right from the get-go uh if I was trying to I would play Queen A4 and Bishop B5 and very quickly Black's in a lot of trouble here so there's a lot of pressure on his Center potentially with Bishop B5 uh but I'm gonna play Bishop to E2 to keep it simple oh my name is Axel buca quality are you the Norwegian kid or kavaloy are you then you're the Norwegian kid I think yeah you're of course I've heard of you you're very good um very very good yeah can I have the big white center here he plays D5 I'm gonna go E5 here I don't really want to take so if I take any takes then I have a pawn that's very weak so when I go E5 I build a chain and my pawns are very strong here in the center of the board I'm gonna Castle get Bishop to B4 here and now in this position I'm gonna go Knight to B3 basically I'm gonna go Knight to B3 maybe to play Rook C1 here I could have traded the knights but again I don't I want to keep my Center attack and right here if I were to trade suddenly there's a lot of pressure on this Knight here and then D4 is also very weak whereas here the Knight is still very solid and everything is very well protected so now I'm going to play Rook to C1 try to use the open C file here for my Rook my rating of 14 was around the same radio might have been a little bit higher like 2450 but it's pretty close to that yeah yeah W kick shirt yeah this came in the middle from kick so uh yeah pretty happy okay now how do I do this he's trying to play A4 and loosen my grip on this D4 Pawn he wants to pester the pastor of the horse so I'm gonna pass through his Bishop first I became a GM at 15 years old sounds like it's possible now here I'm gonna do queen D3 I basically line up a double attack towards the pawn and this Pawn on B5 as well is this gonna be uploaded to YouTube absolutely this will be yes this is more for like Educational Learning than like me trying to to just Stomp that's the whole purpose of this so people can play and you can learn more the concept is basically to give the low rate players a chance to learn from their games also it's 5-0 so I can talk a lot more and explain what I'm doing now it goes Knight A7 here I'm going to take the pawn bishop and queen guard each other he's gonna move the king over and then I'm gonna drop the bishop back I'm simply up two pawns here I don't want to let him go Jesus and trap the Bishops so that's why I dropped the bishop back so yeah that's the reason it's it's more about um it's more about being able to explain take a little bit much more easily it's a polite something whipping good one good one you guys you're you're on a roll today you're on a roll okay it was G6 now another thing that's really important when you have like a big centers if you can expand the center either by playing like F4 to over protect or even push forward creating a lot of a lot more squares it's really really good because now the bishop has a lot of squares both these Bishops are very very well placed here on these two diagonals he goes F5 I'm gonna take here because again I want to open up diagonals see what he does I look 20 years younger thank you I look like I'm 15. I'm gonna go here and I pin The Rook with the bishop again both of these Bishops really really well placed I can also use the open E file down the road and I have perfect harmony Bishop's well placed Rook well placed Queen well placed the other Rook isn't in the game yet but if it goes to E1 all my pieces have perfect harmony you might get this whole time but what's your favorite opening favorite opening is um I mean there are many openings but I would say just in terms of like memorable games would have to be the king's Indian okay it goes bishopathy um I'm just gonna take this Pawn because he's still pinned here he can't do anything fried the fried Fabiano yeah uh let's just go rookie one I'm trying not to take the Rook as long as possible and I'm gonna try to use this open file too Bishop is you don't mind just doing clean trades of even material here like trading the Rooks is completely fine this is the only really dangerous piece that he has left on the board and now I'm gonna go for the ladder with Rook D7 and queen E8 the classic Checkmate technique with the rook and the Queen you go C6 and now I go check and I'm just gonna meet him on E8 next or or F7 this is also just checkmate okay next game um again I do feel at the lower levels you should play E4 more than D4 I very strongly feel that E4 is a better opening Choice uh this time I'm gonna play Knight C3 takes I now via a different move order and now I'm gonna play Bishop G5 pinning the Knight here this is an opening that that I remember stunning a lot when I was very young trade division for the night develop my knight guard the pawn on the center of the board I'm gonna play Bishop to a D3 the point is that after Bishop takes D4 takes takes I will have a fossil with Bishop to B5 check if I go here so it's temporarily not actually hanging upon goes Bishop B7 now I'm going to protect the center create the chain of three castles now here I'm gonna go Queenie two and the reason I'm gonna do this is because due to the pawn structure on the queen side of the pawns like this uh there aren't really major threats here and so I can actually Castle Queen side if you ever go C5 I take and there's pressure and now I can start to attack very quickly on the king side here did your Barber know that you're you're the one and only car knocker yeah because the barber is myself okay now I have the choice which Knight do I put on G5 or both Knights can go to G5 but I think it's not actually clear-cut which one belongs there now the Knight on F3 can move towards the center this Knight can also stay in the center so if I go with this one the other night has this ability to stay in the center like go with this one this Knight doesn't really have the same jobs so I'm like yeah but it also hits F6 I'm gonna go with this thing I don't know if this is the right Knight I'm really unsure but I'm gonna go with it so he takes the pawn and now bad things happen so I can play Knight takes pawn and he takes Knight I take with a double check and he gets mated afterwards by Queen to H5 so he goes Rook C8 good move by the way very good move trying to attack on the queen side here I think now I'm just gonna drop back to G five nights guard each other I'm gonna go Queen to H5 and try a Checkmate him due to the geometry of the chess board the F3 Knight was in fact the right night but the E4 Knight was left night I don't know it goes G6 and now I'm gonna go Bishop D5 try to undermine the knight in the bishop here is Hikaru common name in Japan uh I think it's one of the more common names but it's not I don't think the most common name now he blunders the Knight on D7 here I will just take and now it's very very good because these Knights really really well placed um they're working the bishop guard each other he doesn't have checkmates I can simply take the Rook on C1 there he goes Bishop takes E4 Chuck I'm gonna take with the Knight I'm guarding everything here it's the eighth most common name really wait seriously okay I take I take and now at the end of the day my king looks a little bit scared my king looks a little bit naked here on C1 but I can run to D1 and I should be should be completely fine the king runs here the bishop guards The Rook Knight is well placed Bishop guards Rook Knight targets the bishop and I'm pretty safe pretty safe here knock more is I think the most common last name in Japan if I'm not mistaken so knock more is a very common name now he checks me this is what we call spite checks but it doesn't do anything I just scoot over he has no checks anymore all the squares are covered and now I simply have too much material I have an extra work and an extra night foreign and now I'm gonna basically try to trade the queens or go from made chuck oh I don't have a mate in one do I have to kha it doesn't look like if it resigns it plays G3 again I don't like these sort of hyper modern style openings where you have a lot less space to begin here because your opponent can just claim too much of the center too quickly and I feel like if you're newer to the game of chess very very hard to play the uh it's very very hard to play positions where you have a lot less space when you're starting out because that's you really want open positions with clear piece placement um so I really don't recommend these sorts of openings if you're very new to the game it's just very hard to play because black is so much more space here with the Pawns in the center and like here I'm gonna go E4 it's not the best move but I'm gonna play to just keep claiming space and now it goes to F4 which is an attempt to try and take space of his own but he's just gonna lose very very quickly and that's why it's just when you play openings as a beginner just play for oh play for space you need open positions open files open diagonals like here diagonals are not like the diagonal is not open here even the other Bishop is a closed diagonal um so it's worth noting that I think as a newer player just you you need open open open positions which is also why I don't recommend playing D4 I recommend playing E4 on move one Knight C5 I'm gonna take the pawn and go from eight and one Queen up two here did I bring anything back from Norway except the wind no you guys there's no trophy for winning the event um so no and I haven't gotten my prize money yet either so nothing specific that's it's what it is yeah just how it goes as it is what it is as the old as old saying goes what only should beginners should I do I think E4 with white explain why I mean you can play the London system which is an example of getting some development but what you sacrifice by playing the London system very specifically knowing my opponent I bet he'll play it what you sacrifice by playing the London system is completely fine but you sacrifice open files you do get your piece developed very quickly but you don't actually get open files for the Rooks so that is that that is the one sacrifice when you play the London also when you play London as I'm going to show you guys the problem is it's too systematic so you can get cheesed very easily as you're as you're about to see because already I'm putting maximum pressure on the pawns on B2 and D4 now I know for some people are gonna find this a little bit boring obviously but uh we're just cheese opening at the very lower levels people don't always know how to react to it so you can win games quickly which is fine if your goal is to win games if you actually want to learn the game and improve it's not it's not really it's not the it's not the best way to play you'll be able to cheese up to a point of work and then you'll just lose every game after that I've done Charities from CI I think in 2020 21 we raised over a million dollars I think for uh for for soft giving if I'm not mistaken let's trade more Rooks off the board and the Knight should play foreign now here I'm gonna go work to D2 I do be careful because he does have two pawns on the king size he can push but I think my pawns are going to be a little bit quicker now he's playing this very very well I'm impressed he move actually just before I lose the game now when he trades that opens up the scope so when you go into ipd2 now you don't really have any way to develop the stars for a bishop so now you have to play for B3 and Bishop B2 and fion Kettle the bishop as a newer player I think that's a very difficult concept to understand now I'm gonna play A5 so if we trade he can't he can't claim space with B4 here Castle let's go to 86. now by going Knight C6 the reason I like Knight C3 more than Knight E2 is the Knight here puts a lot of pressure on the center so his Knight on D2 puts no pressure on the center of the board is staring at these empty squares now I will take with a pause so I can activate my light Square Bishop [Music] as someone who's sitting in a serious right around 2000 feet who the point is because he's put the Knight on D2 in his clothes he's trying to take space on the center of the board but it simply loses the pawn here you need to go beat her and Bishop me too but it's not obvious at all to play for this kind of stuff when you're newer to the game which is why I recommend open positions with traditional development of Bishops on the two diagonals so I'm gonna take the pawn here oh so you play the names of your curious systems that are the qgd I would recommend the BOGO Bishop B4 check Bishop D2 and queen E7 do I have streams where I play the viewers absolutely I mean I think the people I'm playing right now are viewers um maybe I'll get back to playing Subs at some point I've tried to do what I can um not easy now I'm just up two Pawns in the center here and again you know what else is very telling is look at this very sad Bishop that is undeveloped this is the problem this is why he needed to go Knight C3 to have the traditional development for this bishop on C1 foreign looks good thank you yeah it's good to feel like I'm 15 again it's always good if I move to Europe what country where I live in um if I was if I was gonna really move to Europe I'd probably live in Switzerland I mean just the natural beauty the Lakes the the people are very friendly everybody speaks 20 languages unlike here in America where we only speak American which is a total disgrace if you ask me um so everybody's well educated um so probably Switzerland I'm gonna go C5 and build a nice chain I mean you've got the Alps as well I mean I Switzerland is where I would so what I'm going to do now is is I've got the center everything is really well protected but because I'm at the center I've got all the space in the middle of the board I need to start using the Cavalry and pushing my pieces forward Behind These pawns so I'm gonna go here and Target the pawn now that I've got got all this protection in front of everything it's like the um it's like it's like I remember many years ago I was reading the the prince um or no not the prince sorry I was reading The Art of War not the Sun Tzu version but the version by Machiavelli let's talk about how I think you sent the I forget what the term was for the for the for the the uh for the formation where you send out the people in front but basically it's like you've got everything in front these pawns are like the they're the they're the um whatever you call it they're they're leading the way and now you've got to use the space and push everything else behind towards your opponent's position I'm gonna go here and play Bishop C7 Queen E6 and go for mate on H2 the van is at Vanguard I think that's correct that sounds vaguely correct but I'm not 100 sure it's been many years since I since I since I was doing that though I'm trying to go Queen E6 and threaten Checkmate by the way when I said Switzerland it has nothing to do with the banking system um but do I like concept questions absolutely I love it how does a strategic aspect of Chess translate across your personal life it doesn't um but what I would say about Chess what I think chess is very beneficial for and I said I actually during Norwich that's because I'm multi-talented and I do 20 different things at the same time they also had a business conference um during the tournament before I played Max I was part of it I was I was basically part of it wasn't a panel but it was a q a um as like basically someone who's built a brand here online and what I did say I'm lying up double a batter for checkmate I think it's very relevant is that in chess you you learn to um you basically learn to make a million decisions like every game that I'm playing here or every game that everyone is watching plays you basically make a million decisions like every game you're making decisions do I go Queen D6 do I go Rook d8 what do I do here I'm making a decision and in life you very frequently don't have to make many big decisions so I think the best thing is in chess because you're always calculating moves even if it's trivial it doesn't matter you're always making decisions you're always you're always in the moment making decisions that's always a good thing as far as life goes that you're able to make decisions on the Fly um without without like freezing up let's go check and play D3 here so I go here I cut off the Escape score and I'm gonna play Queen H1 Chuck mate next move I think chess is beneficial for the brain I mean I I think I think it absolutely is I didn't get business for sure I mean you have to they're if you're doing a startup or things of that nature I mean you have to make decisions like you just have to make hard decisions and I think from playing chess you you get used to the whole decision making process and that's something that does not exist in life like if you think about life in general people have very limited decisions that they have to make I mean it's like the decision you make like where are you gonna where are you gonna go to school potentially like college like who are you gonna marry what house are you gonna buy like what car are you gonna buy those are really like the only big decisions you make in your life uh let's go King h8 here I'm gonna go for checkmated one he resigns next game okay so let's play E4 again because I really believe in E4 on move one and the reason is because now after c64 the traditional developed with the Bishops and the Knights is very very important I think at the beginner level you should never be trying to fion Kettle the Bishops because for example if I go B3 Bishop B2 the bishop is staring at a pawn the bishop has zero scope so I'm gonna have to maneuver much later on in the game in order to activate now of course I'm at a level where I can do that but someone who isn't at my level it's gonna be very hard to do that so I'm gonna take and this is also what I played growing up was this exchange variation of the Karo Khan very similar to the London system by the way but you'll see I get the very standard development bishops come out on the natural diagonals this diagonal and that diagonal well I compete in the next World Championship maybe maybe not who knows okay goes E6 now I'm gonna go Knight to F3 I'm gonna build a chain of three very very soon as well go here we're opening this fire by searching pawns are very protected in the center I want to go rookie one night into a knight of three very very smooth very straightforward simple development simple play and that's how you should you should approach shots if you're newer to the game so again we go rookie one over protect Knight now of course Knight F7 is good but again we're not looking at cheese these players we're trying to get give them something educational so I'm gonna drop back and play 90 to a knight of three Queen F6 okay so he's trying to take the Knight I'm gonna go Queenie two and over protect the Knight again now the only thing I'm missing here is getting the Knight into the game I'm gonna take here I don't really like this but it's what I have to do I'm gonna go G3 kick the queen I still want to bring the Knight to the game but after he moves the queen I'm gonna play F4 just like Pia cramley commenting and his game your father should comment yours well it's slightly different you guys and my stepfather actually he's what 71 but he teaches just like 10 hours or 12 hours every day he's a lunatic so um no he has a job I'm gonna play F4 now of course we have multiple uh multiple multiple connected Pawns now the thing here with F5 is that if he can get the Knight to E4 he's very good but if I trade the knights he now has this weak Pawn he can't put a knight here because there are no Knights on the board and I also can put my knight on E5 as well so it creates a weakness I can put the Knight here and I should be a little bit better so what I'm going to do here is I'm going to play Knight to F3 and play Queen to F2 Rook to E2 and rookie one um I don't know what that was dude okay way to try and ruin the mood um okay I'm gonna go clean up to stack the Rooks play against this weak Pawn here who's B5 now I think again I'm gonna follow the theme of stacking and going after his Pawn I also have Knight G5 to put more pressure here let's go here more pressure magnus's ear is over very hard to like here I&#39;m gonna go E4 it&#39;s not the best move but I&#39;m gonna play to just keep claiming space and now it goes to F4 which is an attempt to try and take space of his own but he&#39;s just gonna lose very very quickly and that&#39;s why it&#39;s just when you play openings as a beginner just play for oh play for space you need open positions open files open diagonals like here diagonals are not like the diagonal is not open here even the other Bishop is a closed diagonal um so it&#39;s worth noting that I think as a newer player just you you need open open open positions which is have the same choice in terms of which pause which how you develop your pieces you normally have to react to how your opponent plays whether they go E4 D4 and I think that when when you have to react you can&#39;t just automatically get the easy development so for example here if I go E6 Bishop is shot in if I go D6 Bishop is shot in so it&#39;s very hard to get the get both Bishops activated in the same kind of ways you can with the white piece when you play E4 so that&#39;s why um that&#39;s why I do think the Kingston is a pretty solid choice because you can Castle quick development play opening itself and just take a look take a look at some videos on it but but overall even though the opening wasn&#39;t precise it was still very steady and solid probably Castle was wrong playing for D5 is a little bit too much so because take the Knight I hit the pawns on G2 and A2 here same amount of letters in the name but different countries indeed indeed get F3 okay now I&#39;m just gonna
