[Music] happy sabbath to everybody all right i guess uh some people are still making it in i know the highway was closed or something right something was going on it's all right uh all praise to the most high christ for another one uh so to today's topic is going to be called uh honor thy father mother and elders all right and we're going to be dealing specifically with the blessing the blessing and what do i mean by that a few weeks back i was having a conversation it's been in my spirit for a while with my wife driving here and uh she was asking me if it was disrespectful to say uh sion and xiong is their slang for bendicion so uh certain northern kingdom tribes had a tradition when we grew up that um to your parents and especially to your grandparents before you can say anything to them you would say bendicion right and it was like a question right meaning i'm asking for a blessing right and they would say diote bendiga right god bless you and then you can hug kiss hey how you been all that stuff like that right i mean and if you didn't do it it that was your that was your behind that was your ass right so we had a respect thing growing up and uh so the conversation was she was saying because simeon being simeon or rather dominicans being dominicans they they have they make their own vernacular all right um and uh so she was saying is it disrespectful we say because we say i said well no i said because that's not like it's um the word itself and how you're applying it is not biblical i said if anything it's the same thing like when we say most high in christ bless you so i said it is a tradition so we do things sometimes and we wonder what the origins of those things are and we just say oh well it was just carried on from family to family not really realizing that these things run deeper right like there's some like if you go to some of these uh so-called latin american countries and stuff like that where there's a lot of farmland they know to let the land rest every certain amount of years right they don't know that it's biblical that that's why they do it but that's what they were taught by their fathers before them and their fathers before them and where do we know that now that's in the bible it says every seven years you got to let the land rest right so the point is is there's customs and there's honor to be had there right um and i said it's in my spirit that i got to bring it out because here's what i notice uh the junior doesn't salute the elder first they're waiting for the elder to salute them kids don't salute the parents that way uh brothers don't salute the senior ranking man first and i'm gonna make a distinction right all praises right we're getting some clarity to how we do our salute and all that right and i see all you brothers emphasizing make sure the salute is right but the majority of that video was about getting brothers to acknowledge the proper order so everybody's focused on this but this means crap if you don't and that video said what the junior man salutes the senior man first and that goes back to traditions just like should a parent have to salute the child first right so and you gotta train up a child that way so every morning i train up my son right and if i forget i make sure i do it good morning good morning daddy and i saying what else and he says most high in christ bless you right cause he's only four so i'm i'm curbing him to make sure that he does that and i know a lot of you don't do that because some of your kids don't stand up right ezekiel been teaching uh those are your grandkids he been teaching his grandkids hey when the captains come in stand up right sham guard 2 right hey salute these men some of you aren't even doing that with your kids at home some of your daughters lack that shame-facedness because they won't even say boo to any of the men some of you sisters are waiting for the men to salute you first and i'm gonna go today lord's will time permitting i'm gonna show you the importance of that the honoring that and how it extends to your elders uh in this walk and how once upon a time that was no question about it and that's a product of the world today that's a product of feminism that's a product of equality that's a product of all the things and the pollutions that they put out to try to destroy us let me show you how important that respect was because even paul had a form of that greeting in almost every letter that he wrote and now it was a letter so he said it first but you're gonna see as i bring out the law how that stuff comes into play right so this should go up and down to any rank if you're junior to a rank you should be saluting that brother first not the other way around this expectation of i'm waiting for this don't forbid i go up to one of the deacons of bishops and try to be like hey why don't you salute me or feel a way about it if they've it's my job i'm gonna give one more example before i read some of these scriptures it was one of the last maybe three or four passovers i walk into the room right a couple other captains i'm not gonna name the names couple other captains behind me and i go because right i was brought up that way in in in new york and uh i'm talking when i say new york i mean where all the elders were at one time and i went make sure i went to bishop first went around most high in christ bless me son of christ blessed and some of the other captives had just walked by and bishop go see that's one of the reasons you're the senior captain i said what did i do he said this i was going to say the names this captain and this captain and this captain didn't even salute us he said and they were like oh i'm sorry i'm sorry they went back and i said man if bishop's gonna point out that emphasis on the random this thing is important right so we're gonna we're gonna talk about that let me get first corinthians 1 and 3. and read these quick you're reading for me tobias yes soldier tobias all right go ahead sir the book of first corinthians chapter one and verse three paul called to be an apostle of jesus christ through the will of god first corinthians one and three that's first corinthians 1 1. no i want one and three verse three grace be unto you and peace from god our father and from the lord jesus christ that's a blessing from paul to the congregation right he's in his letter he's writing that right let's go to second corinthians one and two in almost every letter paul did he gave the same greeting because it was the blessing that was coming down from him come on second corinthians chapter one and verse two grace be to you and peace from god our father and from the lord jesus christ let's go to galatians one and three the book of galatians chapter 1 and verse 3 grace be to you and peace from god the father and from our lord jesus christ let's go to ephesians 1 and 2. the book of ephesians chapter 1 verse two grace be to you and peace from god our father and from the lord jesus christ one more and i gotta listen it's in ephesians and philippians you could keep going this in second thessalonians give me philippians one and two philippians chapter 1 verse 2 grace be unto you and peace from god our father and from the lord jesus christ and you know what that is today most high in christ bless you that's where that comes from most high in christ bless you it's not something that should be lackluster it's not something that should be received ill i'm going to show you the history of it as we go into it how important that the blessings once were to our people and i gave the example even in ignorance how a lot it's not i don't know if every northern kingdom tried but a lot of northern kingdoms that was a thing of respect all right so there was a time even when you were bowed down or kneel to greet your parents and i'm not saying people need to bow neal to us but it starts with the parents first right and then by extension a measure of that respect needs to be given to the uh the people over you right we're gonna see that in the scriptures there was a time and you you you see it when you watch some like if you watch some colonial era shows some ancient things you know who still shows you that honor and they still do it moab for as much as they're gonna be wash pots today they uh when i'm sorry not today when when christ returned today they go ahead and you'll see them go in and they salute they bow their head at least some of them kneel to their parents right there's a respect and a reverence there some of your kids got no shame and we see it you know what and you cannot say give me one second you cannot say within yourself that you're on point with that and i'm gonna tell you why because um there's a there's a saying in the world that says um private practice makes public behavior and when i don't see them doing those type of things in public i know they're not doing it impr don't tell me that that's a lie they're not they're not doing those type of things to you in in in private so when they're not shame-faced when they when they're brazen here when they don't salute when they're not respectful right and usually you go back it kind of shows because sometimes the parents are like that too okay yeah just real quick even when you're gonna kick somebody's ass but you're gonna end up in death you salute them we're not in martial laws right you're that in martial arts right you're salute though i'm gonna kick your ass but let me salute you first all right no but i'm saying but i'm serious right right you should still a show of respect because that dude that you're fighting he got skills too you just may have happened to beat his ass right so you respect the honor and the training okay because in krav maga that's what we do do we not we're starting in every class with a bow okay yep we bought the instructor bows as well as the students right it's it's a respect thing going on there so there was a time when you were bowed down you would kneel to greet your parents especially the father the father was held with reverence and esteem in the home he got the biggest piece of chicken got the biggest piece of meat he got served first stuff was partitioned and the wife was on board with that now the kids are put higher than the husband in those things right the kids would come right here daddy here's your slippers let me take your shoes off all that stuff like that or your coat it was way back in it you know when they were dressing all european garb and take that stuff off all that stuff now it's not like that now the kids are put above that but there's a reason the commandment when we read it you're gonna see is written in that manner that it says honor thy father and mother because that's the order that you read in first corinthians eleven and three it starts with the man the mother deserves honor from the children as well but it starts with the man right so just like when we bow our heads and open up reverence for the lord so our reverence and our respect first starts with god but going you know there's a part where what cap was saying and i always emphasize that when he was speaking about what he was addressing a lot of us play at this at being an israelite and you'll show all this reverence and honor to god but god told you do the same thing to your parents and i'm going to show you in the scripture he told you do the same thing for your elders and that's not being displayed so you know what that is that's a lack of faith that's a lack of not believing it's it's a feigned belief like the scripture says right so you have to understand that parental authority and god's authority were unquestioned at one time because it's not just parental authority that's questioned now people question god's authority now they'll come up and that's why we get so much indignation when we're in camp sometimes because you have some people come up just with some nonsense right like why are you so angry because you're an idiot right the fool says in his heart there is no god so one time that stuff was on question today's world teaches us to be equal and equal rights for all and with that respect goes out the window reverence goes out the window honor goes out the window and we are all actually guilty of it in some measure or form at some time even us in here this is what it means in micah when it says this place is polluted and it will destroy you with a sore destruction there's a constant influence and opposing force against the force of these scriptures against us on the daily and our carnal selves are always present remember it's that battle galatians 5 17 the spirit and the flesh warf against each other so we need to be able to acknowledge that each and every one of us has been or are susceptible to this all right um and it extends even beyond the parents we cannot say within ourselves who is this person that i should humble myself before them i'm not showing of that level of respect and that comes from pride and ego right says everyone be in subjection one to the other right us as um having oversight when you're in a position over the flock and then those under as well and then even within there's distinction in the ranks all right there's distinctions in the ranks so let's go back to genesis 1 and 28 and i say back because we're going to go all the way back because again i want to make sure we're dealing with the honor but from the perspective of the blessing all right we got to put respect back on the blessing the blessing should be a thing that you are waiting to receive eagerly that's why you give it first because you want it back from someone in the spirit is right most has dealing with him in a different way because that's what the levels of the rank is right it's based on the spirit based on how brothers are rolling and different things like that yes there's measures of understanding but it's a total package that goes into it so wouldn't you want a blessing from somebody that you might be there if the most high is dealing with this guy this way i want i want that most high in christ bless you back i want that anointing i want hey and i tell you even as men in your house that that authority would anointing and i was it's going to be too long i was actually going to go into the similarities that anointing and blessing really mean the same thing but anointing involves the oil and it's more formal all right but blessing is also an anointing okay um let's get genesis 1 and 28. the book of genesis chapter 1 and verse 28 and god blessed them and god said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth right so one of the first blessings that the most high did even before he blessed the sabbath day was he blessed adam and eve and he said be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over everything that i created that was a blessing he blessed them by giving them dominion over everything one of the first blessings he gave down let's get genesis two and one the book of genesis chapter two and verse one thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the hosts of them and on the seventh day god ended his work which he had made and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made and god blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because that in it he had rested from all his work which god created and the reason i'm sorry the reason i'm going all the way back here is to let you know the first two blessings that were given by god right and how this is a thing that the father does so we being god's children need to follow the same pattern of works and the same pattern of behaviors and the same way we see the blessing of the lord we must through his divine order from the head of the house as the father down to the as children honoring the mother and even to the elders when we read that the scripture says honor the horry head right you want to receive those blessings because they have power they have effect that's why you seek those blessings that's why the scripture says if any sick among you go to the elders of the church and seek an anointing because the most high hears those people differently christianity has told you that he's hearing all of you the same that's not the case from the simplest of he doesn't hear sinners to dealing with how certain people had to be intermediaries for him and not the people directly just when we were in the wilderness they went to moses would they pray on their own shore but when they wanted something from god they went to moses and moses went to god and got his consent to do it or not do it yeah finish that verse because that in it he had rested from all his work which god created and made right uh so he blessed the sabbath day let's get genesis 9 and 1. the book of genesis chapter 9 and verse 1 and god blessed noah and his sons and said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth so now you have a uh god blessing noah and his sons and again he says be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth so now the same blessing he had given to adam and eve it was necessary for him to give that blessing again to noah and his sons why because everything was destroyed during the flood so as he said listen this stuff that i remember he put seven of clean animals two of unclean so he said now you get the same blessing but now you need to replenish it because i i i am the one that filled it the first time now you took basically that's what seeds are right so all those animals was basically seeds to make sure that all that stuff survived so now god blessed noah as well now we're gonna read the whole history of it we'll stop at some point so bear with me we're gonna go to genesis 27 and we're gonna start right at one to show the importance of the blessing coming from the father all right we've lost our traditions as a people not just in the keeping of the commandments all right but in the respect that we need to have on one unto another all right and there's an order in all of that god is all about order it's divine order it's divine structure and everything that he does and we often get lacks we often get comfortable and we don't see the significance in what we're asking for and what we're putting out when it comes to this blessing so let's start at uh genesis 27-1 the book of genesis chapter 27 in verse 1 and it came to pass that when isaac was old and his eyes were dim so that he could not see he called esau his eldest son and said unto him my son and he said unto him behold here am i and he said behold now i am old and i know i know not the day of my death now therefore take i pray thee thy weapons thy quiver and thy bow and go out to the field and take me some venison and make me savory meat such as i love and bring it to me that i may eat that my soul may bless thee before i die so it was a tradition amongst israel that there was a blessing given uh when they were young and before you died like if it wasn't a sudden unexpected type of death you gave a blessing to your eldest sons and this blessing as we're going to uh recall right as we we think ourselves in reading this history was coveted dearly by both of his sons and the reason was because he knows the blessings held weight there was belief that if i was blessed by my father those things would come to pass and i'm going to show you how it connects to uh honor thy father and mother all right so he said that my soul may bless thee before i die his soul letting you know it's spiritual when you get a blessing read on and rebecca heard when isaac spake to esau his son and esau went to the field to hunt for venison and to bring him and rebecca spake unto jacob her son saying behold i heard thy father speak unto esau thy brother saying bring me venison and make me savory meat that i may eat and bless thee before the lord before my death now therefore my son obey my voice according to that which i command these so she's about to hatch this whole plan which was of the lord just to show you how important that blessing was that blessing needed to be received by your father because they understood and they knew if they were not blessed by their father that they would not prosper go ahead read verse nine go now to the flock and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats and i will make them savory meat for thy father such as he loveth and thou shalt bring it to thy father that he may eat and that he may bless thee before his death and jacob said to rebecca his mother behold esau my brother is a hairy man and i am a smooth man right so that's characteristics of the progenitor of the so-called white man right come on my father pear adventure will fuel me and i shall seem to him as a deceiver and i shall bring a curse upon me and not a blessing see the respect and the reverence there so he even knew that even though mom was telling me this he said nah ma i'm not going to do that because then i'm going to get a curse and not a blessing i don't want to be seen as a deceiver to my father come on verse 13. and his mother said unto him upon me be thy curse my son right but she knew that because she knew in the spirit right what was prophesied right the elder uh would serve the younger right jacob's name means supplanter right meaning it was prophesied that he would supplant that birthright and he would get the bigger bird that's what god intended he needed it to be that way so that's why she was like don't worry but she didn't have time to explain that to her son right and notice he didn't book up after that honor respect she said you know what he he gave one retort based on the bible he said listen meaning basically think about his retort i know god is over you i know first corinthians 11 and 3 before it was even written right letting you know that that order was there from the beginning and his father mother then the children so that's why he was saying hey uh uh you you're gonna bring a curse upon me and she says no no no no the curse will be upon me just do it and that was it and he went and he did it come on and his mother said unto him upon me be thy curse my son only obey my voice and go fetch me them see obedience he said just obey my voice and go fetch me them come on and he went anyway he didn't buck up he didn't say oh my i don't want to oh man why do i have to she said and he went all you little boys right that applies to all of you from your youth your parents tell you something you do it if it's not a sin right because he just gave you an example he thought she was telling him to sin he said no no i'm going to be a deceiver she said i'll take the burden of that you go but she said that because she knew she knew from to the spirit of the lord right and he went and did it come on and he went and fetched and brought them to his mother and his mother made savory meat such as his father loved and rebecca took goodly raymond of her eldest son esau which were with her in the house and put them upon jacob her younger son and she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands and upon the smooth of his neck and she gave the savory that means that eso was hairy like a goat that's a lot of you have a touch of goat you feel that it's not even just a lot that's like rough hair bro that's like that's like a dense texture of hair that means eso was hairy like a goat you'd be seeing some of them like that too man they got the neck and the back man i used to have to uh grapple with with one uh he was magog when i used to take krav maga in in new york and uh he would wear a white shirt and then you know when the white shirts get wet it's like you see everything man and i had to we we would do bear hugs and choke releases and i'm like oh with the nasty hairs and i knew i knew what he was so at the time i was already in the truth at the time even if you don't know it's not right i know man but it help it motivates me when i'm uh sparring against the heathen but go ahead and she gave the savory meat and the bread which she pre which she had prepared into the hand of her son jacob that was uh that was venison giselle that was that was when a singing salad that's that's what he gave him with the bread chibo right go ahead verse 18 and he came unto his father and said my father and he said here am i who art thou my son and jacob said unto his father i am esau thy firstborn i have done according as thou baitest me arise i pray thee sit and eat my venison that my soul may be might bless me and remember all this is the emphasis all this was being done to make sure the blessing was received it was understood without question the respect that the father had in the home when it came basically to the rest of your life you want it to be in your father's good graces but the world teach you now right he's a no good low down dirty right hey and even if y'all even if some of you sisters don't say that stuff they watch how you talk to your husband they watch they watch and they see and they file that in their head and you've programmed them for the future for destruction because if they don't get it right the most high is going to destroy that spirit so if you really love your kids right even if you can't bring yourself to really love your husband to be respectful enough to him if you really love your kids watch your mouth watch your mouth you can say something even as recent as the 70s were good times they reverenced james florida made sure that james got the reverence yeah all the brothers know sisters no one talked about right he worked hard he was he he was the the the patriarch they call it right yep the patriots he was the patriarch and jj didn't knock the fool michael didn't enact the fool thelma didn't act the fool they were all reverence okay and it's funny because when he got killed off because he was going against carl reiner's thing they wanted to make it they were making us look too uh too uh uh at the uh uh ethnic okay uh the show changed when there was no father figure in that house and the show was canceled think about that y'all don't look at it like that but think about that the show was cancelled when james evans was taken off the show yep good point good point read them verse 20 and isaac said unto his son how is it that thou has found it so quickly my son and he said because the lord thy god brought it to me and isaac said unto jacob come near i pray thee you know the irony in that he says the lord thy god brought it to me venison's the subject but what the lord really brought to him was the blessing right if you really think about that so it wasn't even that that was that was wisdom in his answer it wasn't even that he was lying right because his mom told him no just do it the curse will be upon me and you know what that knows that he meant he didn't think his mom was gonna get a curse he respected that his mom knew what she was doing enough that he was gonna roll with it right come on and isaac said unto jacob come near i pray thee that i may feel thee my son whether thou be my very son esau or not and jacob went near unto isaac his father and he felt him and said the voice is jacob's voice but the hands are the hands of esau and he discerned him not because his hands were hairy as his brother esau's hands so he left him so he blessed him and he said art thou my very son esau and he said i am and he said bring it near to me and i will eat of my son's venison that my soul may bless thee and he brought it near to him and he did eat and he brought him wine and he drank and his father isaac said unto him come near now and kiss me my son and he came near and kissed him and he smelled the smell of his raiment and blessed him and said see the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the lord hath blessed so that means eso smell like goats okay therefore god give thee of the dew of heaven and the fatness of the earth and plenty of corn and wine let people serve thee and nations bow bow down to thee be lord over thy brethren and let thy mother sons bow down to thee curse be every one that curseth thee and blessed be he that blessed thee and it came to pass as soon as isaac had made an end of blessing jacob and jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of his of isaac his father that esau his brother came in from the from his hunting right so it was just in the nick of time right he had time to have his last meal enjoy himself get everything together all right and go ahead and and partake of that i want you to remember the power of this blessing because we're gonna go all the way down to 41 and see the emphasis of that what he blessed them with was basically the same promise that god blessed abraham with and that's carried down through the father all right this is why i started with god's blessings first before we went to parental blessings all right so you can see the significance so we can start to put some respect on when somebody gives you the most high in christ bless you all right that it with the emphasis on it so those few verses there that talk about that blessing was basically talking about the kingdom of heaven he said have people have nations bow down to thee right be lord over thy brethren be in a position of authority right anyway go ahead read on esau comes in now verse 30 and it came to pass as soon as isaac had made an end of blessing jacob and jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of isaac his father that esau his brother came in from his hunting and he also had made savory meat and brought it unto his father and said unto his father let my father arise and eat of his son's medicine that might that thy soul may bless me and isaac his father said unto him who art thou and he said i am thy son thy firstborn esau and isaac trembled very exceedingly and said who where is he that had taken venison and brought it me and i have eaten of all before thou camest and have blessed him and yea and he and he shall be blessed right so he trembled because he knew the authority and how that order of that blessing went and the last part of that verse explains to you he says because not only did because you would say well it's easy just say nah i gave the wrong blessing see today that's how we look at uh uh abendicion a blessing right but yeah okay whatever he trembled because he knew he couldn't take it back he said not only did i bless him he will be blessed it will be so and there's nothing i can do about it and that's that and ain't nothing we could do about it right that's it that's the end of it go ahead read on verse 34. and when esau heard the words of his father he cried with the great and exceeding bitter cry and said unto his father bless me even me also o my father see and even esau knew he was it's not it's not a simple thing that's how much respect and authority and emphasis you gotta have on a blessing he said because right he could have been like well he deceived you so just give it to me nope don't work that way it don't work that way you give it you give it that's it right come on verse verse 35 and he said thy brother came with septility and had taken away thy blessing and he said is not he rightly named jacob for he had supplanted me these two times he took away my birthright and behold now he had taken away my blessing and he said hast thou not reserved a blessing for me and isaac answered and said unto esau behold i have made him thy lord and all his brethren have i given to him for servants and with corn and wine have i sustained him and what shall i do now unto thee my son he said man i gave him everything well bless what blessing do i have left for you right because when we read uh we're gonna read a few verses of it when you read genesis 49 that was also a blessing when jacob wound up telling his twelve sons so he had something for each of them right judah got his blessing which was greater right the scepter would not depart right all the tribes got a portion of a blessing right so it wasn't just his father telling him what was going to happen that was part of their blessing as it went through right so he he's like hey is there anything left for me come on so as a father my point is if you have multiple sons you're supposed to right your your firstborn gets the main blessing right but you're supposed to have a blessing for all your sons go ahead come on verse 38 and esau said unto his father hast thou but one blessing my father bless me even me also o my father and esau lifted up his voice and wept and isaac his father answered and said unto him behold thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth and of the dew of heaven from above right now remember he knew in the spirit what was going on here because you read that and it's like well it sounds like he's giving him something similar to what he gave jacob but it was based on a dispensation of time all right one was gonna have it for ever and one was only going to have it for a certain amount of time come on verse 40. and by thy sword shalt thou live and that's why he had to give him that one because he already gave the greater blessing to jacob so the only way he was going to be able to get more stuff was to conquer which is what he's done throughout history nothing has ever been his because he sold his birthright the most high ordained it for him to not have the blessing so he had to get a different type god said in his infinite wisdom like the scripture says god set this thing up to play out perfectly all right good and by thy sword shalt thou live and shalt serve thy brother and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck and esau hated jacob because of the blessing that's how strong the blessing is esau's hatred for us stems from not getting that blessing and every suffering every dynamic everything this dynamic of of good versus evil us versus them stems from a blessing and it says and esau hated jacob because of the blessing come on and esau hated jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him and esau said in his heart the days of mourning for my for my father are at him then will i slay my brother jacob so that murder is in his spirit because of the blessing because of the blessing because that's see we we take that as a light thing the blessing some of us they don't even say hey shalom hey shalom we don't look for the most high christ but anybody just here i'm talking about i see it all over the place and the emphasis on it needs to be there i see it from junior ranked men to senior men all that stuff it's it's a it's uh yeah whatever it's a it's a hey how about you greet me how about you salute me that's backwards and if you're in that spirit you're rolling in the spirit of the earth you're rolling in the spirit carnal of the world and i'm telling you that's that's part of the feminist agenda that's part of the crafty council to keep us down all of that because it destroys order it destroys spiritual elements of order and it starts from the children and it extends out to the elders so the magnitude of of a blessing from the father cannot be understated all right that blessing was so important that it's created the dynamics that we've lived under since then since then let's go to genesis 48 and one the book of genesis chapter 48 in verse 1 and it came to pass after these things that one told joseph behold thy father is sick and he took with him his two sons manessa and ephraim and one told jacob and said behold thy son joseph cometh unto thee and israel strengthened himself and sat upon the bed so again yet another example when you were on your deathbed you knew you were nearing your last days you were responsible for giving out blessings and you knew that was the time to receive blessings come on verse 3 and jacob said unto joseph god almighty appeared unto me at loose in the land of canaan and bless me and said unto me behold i will make thee fruitful and multiply thee and i will make of thee a multitude of people and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession and now thy two sons ephraim and manessa which were born unto thee in the land of egypt before i came unto thee into egypt are mine as reuben and simeon they shall be mine and thy issue which thou begettest after them shall be thine and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance so the blessing was so powerful remember what happened with joseph he was sold away right so he missed the the blessings that he would have got uh as one of the sons so what his father said was to make this right i'm the bit you didn't benefit from me basically you went and you spent the rest of your years in egypt to make this right i'm going to take your sons and give them my name he says so that blessing will now extend to them right go ahead so he says and they shall be called after the name of their brethren and their inheritance you know why that verse is important some of you brothers you got some bhis that'll try to take that to say ephraim and manessa right again because it's just the colorism the hatred and the division that's there casting bands asunder they'll try to say that well it's it's not even joseph right it's that it's e from manessa that's not even of the same line but he had the authority here right in the spirit of the most high and he said and they shall be called after the name of their brethren and their inheritance meaning they shall be called israel they shall be called israel right go ahead read verse seven and as for me when i came from padan rachel died by me in the land of canaan in the way when yet there was but a little way to come unto ephroth and i buried her there in the way of ephrath the same as bethlehem and israel beheld joseph's sons and said who are these and joseph said unto his father they are my sons whom god hath given me in this place and he said bring them i pray thee unto me and i will bless them right so he was gonna give them a blessing and you're gonna see how joseph understood also the importance of that blessing because as the blessing went to the younger and not the elder we're gonna read how joseph got vexed right got an evil spirit on him come on verse 10. now the eyes of israel were dim of them for age so that he could not see and he brought them near unto him and he kissed them and embraced them and israel said unto joseph i had not thought to see thy face and lo god had showed me also thy seed and joseph brought them out from heaven his knees and he bowed himself with his face to the earth and joseph took them both you see how he bowed himself to his father do you see do you see the customs and the respect there and mind you he grew up into a man in the absence of his father right and his father couldn't see but he still had all that respect he said i'm gonna i'm gonna do it why because it's not just for him to see it that's the respect that needs to be there when it says honor thy father and mother and again i'm emphasizing the parents but you're gonna see how a measure of that does extend to other areas of respect when this is honored by father and mother i think many people are confused on what that honor is and what that really means okay verse 13. and joseph took them both ephraim in his right hand and toward israel's left hand and manessa in his left hand toward israel's right hand and brought them near unto him and israel stretched out his right hand and laid it upon ephraim's head who was the younger and his left hand upon vanessa's head guiding his hands wittingly for manessa was the firstborn right so he was trying to line it up right because the right hand got the stronger blessing right the right's always dominant right and he says that he was trying to guide his hands there but then it says no israel switched it right so as he was bringing him up that way israel did this right and mind you he couldn't see so you know it was in the spirit come on verse 15 and he blessed joseph and said god before whom my fathers abraham and isaac did walk the god which fed me all my life long unto this day the angel which redeemed me from all evil bless the lads and let my name be named on them in the name of my fathers abraham and isaac and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth and when joseph said stop there's a little letter next to mine where it says and let them grow into a multitude and it says as fishes do increase right because it means to be fruitful right so it says as fishes do increase come on verse 17. and when joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of ephraim it displeased stop there's a little letter next to mine and where it says displeased it says there was evil in his eyes so he got vexed he got an evil spirit on because again the respect the understanding for the blessing the reverence for for the patriarch was there and we've lost that we've lost that in these last days come on and he held up his father's hand to remove it from ephraim's head unto manessa's head and joseph said unto his father not so my father for this is the firstborn put thy right hand upon his head and his father refused and said i know it my son i know it he also shall become a people and he also shall be great but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he and his seed shall become a multitude of nations and he blessed them and he blessed them that day saying and these shall israel bless saint god make thee as ephraim and as manessa and he set ephraim before manessa and israel said unto joseph behold i die but god shall be with you and bring you again unto the land of your fathers moreover i have given to thee one portion above thy brethren which i took out of the hand of the amorite which my sword and with my bow right so when he says i've given you one portion he means he gave them an extra set of land right i believe when you look at the maps uh i believe it's ephraim it shows ephraim with two areas right or is it manessa one of them show me the map let me see uh no i need the one with the tribes can someone look it up so you see what i'm saying right right so there was extra land split you have it here with all the tribes right so there was extra land split so if you can get a picture of it and we could show it later all right um so he says that he had extra land it don't mean that uh ephraim was gonna be above his brethren or anything like that all right because as you read in genesis 49 he then tells you that the scepter will not depart from judah right so he's telling you what's going on there so it dealt with the land right so look so you see manessa had two portions because of the river and then e from down there right right so you'll see the way you see the way he had it there that's what he was saying in that verse no and i mentioned that because you might hear some nonsense like that from some northern kingdom that think they something right and think that they gonna be above uh southern kingdom when it comes to certain things that's not what that's going into right because then we have a brother recently had some similar question about that you know what i'm talking about that he's always messaging us on on the thing he was trying to say something like that and we had to fix it we had to fix that thing so all right okay so genesis 49 and one let's read one and 2. the book of genesis chapter 49 and verse 1 and jacob called unto his sons and said gather yourselves together that i may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days come on gather yourselves together and hear ye sons of jacob and hearken unto israel your father right and hearken unto israel your father and then what he tells them there is all blessings all right get deuteronomy 33 and 1. the book of deuteronomy chapter 33 and verse one and here's how i'm going to tell you they don't use the word blessing in genesis 49 but genesis 49 uh deuteronomy 33 complements genesis 49 right we understand that y'all been going through the tribes right so you go through both of those right so in deuteronomy 33 basically moses did the same thing but what do they call it read deuteronomy 33 and 1. deuteronomy chapter 33 and verse 1 and this is the blessing wherewith moses the man of god blessed the children of israel before his death so even though he wasn't there two things i want from there it's a blessing what was brought on to them so in genesis 49 that's a blessing as well deuteronomy 33 it was a blessing right and now moses he wasn't their father right up until this point we dealt with god we dealt with the father blessings to the son now moses as the elder of the congregation gave blessings gave blessings to let you know that there's a flow in this from the most high down starts with the father in the house right and then down into leaders over the congregation and there's a reverence for those blessings let's look up the definition of blessing what do you got for me what do you got no not that that's minister blessing google okay god i don't like those well benediction i like benediction that's a good one uh actually i don't think i like the uh webster one either let me get the one for a dictionary yes uh a special favor mercy or benefit a favor or gift bestowed by god right the invoking of god's favor on a person that's the one i wanted the son was denied his father's blessing that's the example that they give right so it's the invoking of god's favor upon a person what did uh um jacob say when he was blessing you from a manessa he said the god of our father abraham isaac right he invoked the name of the most high to give that blessing that's all done with the authority that god has given the man in the household and now you read that moses did it too so letting you know that how that authority flows with the blessings that's something that you should be eager to seek that's something that you should want as a child from the father right and as members in the body from your leadership all right for any man that has uh that spiritual authority over you let's get uh benediction too let me see that one benediction all right so sometimes you'll hear this a lot in catholic church some of your bibles when you read paul's closings or openings it'll say paul's benediction and then addiction is basically just looking similar all i want is similar right oh well first it says the utterance or bestowing of a blessing right especially at the end of a religious service and then blessing is the first synonym for it blessing look it also says invocation so it's the same thing so sometimes you'll hear terms like benediction blessing right anoints also did you pull up anoint uh no that's not get go to the uh synonyms see synonyms far annoying bless first synonym bless right so an anointing is a blessing as well all right consecrate halloween okay that's all i wanted for that let's get exodus 20 and 12. so we went over blessings showing you the importance of them significance of it exodus 20 and 12. the book of exodus chapter 20 and verse 12 honor thy father and thy mother and that that thy days may be long upon the land which the lord thy god giveth thee right honor thy father and mother all right honor thy father and mother where else is this written in the bible office isaac his third chapter nope uh let me try soldierio wrong leadership maybe um matthew 15 and 4. what does matthew 15 4 say yes sir read it real quick yeah you got it for god commanded saying honor their father and their mother and he have cursed the father or the mother let him die to death okay all right that's a good one where else uh wait is the world had his hand up before you soldiers of uber that's good you got in the new testament mark 7 and 10. does it say the same thing that matthew 15 4 said okay all right what let me see what office assassin what do you get shalom cap ephesians 6 and 2 yes but not yet i don't want to go there yet uh let's get deuteronomy 5 and 16. how many of you know the 10 commandments are also written in deuteronomy raise your hand how many you didn't know raise your hand raise your hand because i only saw like two hands here and you didn't know that the ten commandments on deuteronomy oh you two you didn't know gosh right deuteronomy five and sixteen the book of deuteronomy chapter 5 and verse 16 honor thy father and thy mother as the lord thy god hath commanded thee that thy days may may be prolonged and that it may go well with thee in the land which the lord thy god it now i want you to remember those last parts okay um let me before we get to uh ephesians all right uh but just so for your reference uh deuteronomy 5 and i think uh if you start at the four no uh six six so from six uh down to 21 you get the 10 commandments again all right i'm surprised y'all been doing the four chapters and you didn't realize that that was the ten commandments written all over again well some of you did all right okay let's get exodus 21-17 i'm going to show you something i'm reading this because i'm going to put some emphasis on this exodus 21-17 the book of exodus chapter 21 and verse 17 and he that curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death right so he read the one in matthew right i want to give you the comparisons here um letting you know that because you hear curse and you think that means uh fu mom right even though that's appropriate inappropriate as well right um but the cursing is basically anything that's dealing with bucking up against them it's the opposite of honor is the point that i want to make and i want to make a point here let's get ephesians six and one and then we and then hold deuteronomy 5 16. ephesians 6 and 1. the book of ephesians chapter 6 and verse 1 children obey your appearance in the lord for this is right come on honor thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise what does that mean it says that was the first commandment given with promise what does that mean somebody explain that to me uh soldier collab you read in deuteronomy 5 where say that it may go well with thee right that it may go wealthy in exodus 20 and 12 it also tells you that it may go well with thee that's the first commandment that tells you anything like that meaning now somebody explained to me why does he say with promise what does that mean we know that that's what it says i want somebody to explain it fully nobody let me try eliezer officer liaison hey shalom um leadership oh that goes with promise as long as that you're teaching your kids to keep the commandments and they're following your your following your uh your ways for surely their kids and their kids and their kids kids are following that same way as well no okay officer isaac because you said it's honor your father and mother's the first commandment promised what does it have to do with you teaching your kids the commandments go ahead shalom it's going into the uh the promise given to us no we already know what the promise was that it'll go well with you i want you to explain that wording what does that mean the first commandment with promise it's going into uh the the promise or the covenant given to us that we get the kingdom now you're going you're going too deep you're going too deep let me try ezekiel and then and then i'll explain it it's real simple broth ezekiel shalom leadership shalom is it is going into uh exodus 21 and 17 uh when they say should surely be put to death all right that's you guys are going over the cause and effect when he says the first commandment with promise it's the first commandment that has a benefit it's clearly written for it meaning there was a reward you know how like uh you buy the raffle and first prize gets the freezer he's saying if you honor your father and mother that's the first time a a commandment mentions that you know how other times he says if you do all of these you'll inherit this memory talks about the blessings remember that happened to deuteronomy 28 1-15 where he says if you do all these things this is the benefit he says the first commandment with benefit was the one where he told you to honor your father and mother yes all the other answers after that are correct but he's letting you know the first commandment with promise meaning that if you do this you will receive this was honor your father and mother and i the emphasis on that is to show you how important the blessing is this is why we had those traditions at one time and we don't and we don't so my wife messed up a little with my daughter she didn't really teach her the most high in christ bless you when she was young we're fixing it with my son so my daughter you know not that she's against doing it you know she loves the heck out of me but it's not in the front of her head right and the only way we do that is if we stay consistent with them and i don't get nasty with them about it or anything like that unless they refuse to say it right then i'm like hell's wrong with you got the damn devil on you just say it right but you gotta train them you gotta create a repetition right i mean just like you teach a dog to go to a certain spot to use the bathroom same thing you got to teach your kids that hey before you tell me anything else if you haven't seen me it should be most high in christ bless you hey hey father whatever you want to call you my son calls me papa daddy whatever most high in christ bless you so i have tactics to turn it up okay i haven't done it yet but i have tactics i know my levels that i'm gonna do they don't do it greet me correctly and then i'll answer your question all right oh well i don't know what you mean greet me correctly you're supposed to say this right oh they don't want to agree then the next level right as they get older and they don't do it go away until you come back and greet me correct me don't ask me for nothing i'm not giving you nothing until you come back and greet me correctly you got to teach them that stuff you have to teach them that stuff we have to raise them up that way and if they if they start with that it'll carry over into everything else right and then you'll be able to move forward just like uh uh the bible says uh about miriam right if your father would only spit in your face you would have learned some manners right so it's the same thing we have to train them up that way and likewise that's why uh deacon abiel had to put the video out some of you don't know how to salute the right order to salute it's not just a fist i pray you brothers start emphasizing the right order of salute the junior salutes the senior that's biblical that's how it's supposed to be all right so now ephesians six and two again the book of ephesians chapter six verse two honor thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise come on that it may be well with thee and that thou mayest live long on the earth that's the actual promise that it may be well with meaning you're gonna have a jacked up life in the earth not just after with the kingdom and stuff if you don't have the honor to your father and mother because right some children might be like ah that don't mean nothing to me whatever it is or what have you hey it's telling you gonna have a jacked up life you ever noticed some of those kids that's estranged from their parents and not because the parents did something wrong but because they're just rebellious they have the most tumultuous lives i i don't know i'm not saying that's the that there aren't exceptions to that in the earth but in my experience anybody that i've met that's estranged from their parents because they're just like the hell with them right because you can have some messed up parents nobody say you got to stay around that sort of stuff they usually have the most drama filled unsuccessful lives and there's a reason behind that it's spiritual all right so what i wanted the emphasis i want to make here is that uh we show love and fear to god right we know that we need to show love and fear to god we shall love by keeping the commandments obeying what he wants us to do right and we show fear not by fear of i'm necessarily afraid of his presence right but fear because we know the repercussions that can come if we disobey him right likewise that spirit needs to be in us extended to our parents and our elders all right i'm gonna show you what that fear is talking about let's get leviticus 19 and 3. the book of leviticus chapter 19 and verse 3 ye shall fear every man his mother and his father it's a commandment it's a commandment to fear them not just honor them fear them it says ye shall fear every man come on and keep my sabbaths i am the lord your god so fear your father and your mother that's a commandment you shall you hear you shall that's a commandment you're supposed to fear them as well so what does that mean uh from the point of respect as from the commandments which are love right that's what the uh that's what the love is going about does the fear mean be scared of them no this is what the fear is and this is how it extends to your to your elders as well rather you're fearful of letting them down committing a fault something that might anger them or disappoint them that's how you that's how you practice that fear not oh my god i'm afraid when they walk in the room and i'm shivering but the fear of letting them down them finding a fault in you because you're not doing right you're not doing well that's how we act out that fear that we just read and that's and that's commanded right so if you have a balance in this then and only then is honor maintained if you have a balance between the commandments and fear then you honor the king if you have a balance between commandments and fear then you're honoring your father and your mother right and it's not just god's commandments your father mother give you commandments that they have of how they want things done how they want you to behave how they want you to speak likewise we have rules in here that aren't commandments per se right i'm about a few years back we had people bucking up because we're like yo you got to take notes i need to take notes i don't study that way really that's someone i guarantee you you go look somewhere along the line with their parental relationship and that level of respect was not there so their father their mother if they were even in the picture it was not there you got something you want to say i see i see you see you moving there go ahead so just wondering um that same fear that you have that you should have for your father and mother uh the beneficial from that one is from like psalms uh 111 verse 10 right that's the same exact thing it's the same type of thing with the understanding of wisdom and all that as well absolutely absolutely so honor to honor thy father and mother means that balance of fear and love doing what's expected what's required right and having the fear that you don't want to let them down in that all right let's go back to ephesians 6 and 2 again honor thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise that it may be well with thee and thou and thou mayest live long on the earth so basically what that's really saying from an extended point right we dealt with it earthly right you may live long on the earth when you read it in deuteronomy 5 16 exodus 20 and 12 it's basically saying you cannot get the blessings from god without the blessing from your righteous parents that's why um when isaac gave the blessing to jacob esau was so distraught that's why when the blessing was gonna get mixed up from jacob to eve from emmanessa right joseph was distraught it's like what the hell no you're gonna mess this up because they understood the consequence that's the fear that comes behind that and my aim is to give you an emphasis of how meaningful a blessing is so when you're asking somebody that's your parents or somebody senior to you in this walk for prayers for blessings for anointings there should be a a respect towards that it's not a casual thing and it should be something to be desired hey it it was always like that and we would see bishop giving like uh an anointing to somebody like oh the bishop's doing an anointing so it got to the point where he was just like all right if we're doing you let's do everybody because everybody's gonna want one now and it should be that way and everybody will run up yo can i get in on that can i get in on that because you want that thing remember christ whenever he healed somebody he said your faith made you whole so if you believe that the blessings are powerful then god will then show you the favor it's not the blessing is some hocus-pocus magic spell your faith right capitals bring it out in the beginning hebrews 11 1 the substance of things not seen you can't see the healing you can't see past those things but you believe in the way that the most high has all this stuff set up and that's what makes you whole that's what heals you that's what heals you let's get leviticus 19 and 32. so now we move past parents but all those things still apply and we're going to touch briefly on how it extends to elders i'm going to show you the scriptures on it the book of leviticus chapter 19 and verse 32 thou shalt rise up before the horry head and honor the face of the old man and fear thy god i am the lord right so i'm gonna emphasize the old man here right the whorey head we're gonna go to wisdom of solomon four don't read it yet all right wisdom of solomon four and eight but notice it says rise up uh was it it was rachel right that she didn't get up because she was hiding the idols right um and notice when uh he came in she had to say oh i'm sorry i have my issues that's why i'm not rising up remember how i said we used to kneel we used to some people don't even stand up for leadership and listen i'm not saying a member sees a soldier you got to stand up and stuff like that let's let's let's temper that a little bit right obviously deacons and up we the video shows you how to say on deck but it also covers like if you're in a group right and if there's a senior man coming right the first person in that group to see him needs to alert everybody else and say hey you know uh you know this office is coming through this captain right to show that respect to show that reverence those of y'all saw the video right you know what i'm talking about they gave examples of that stuff right on how it was done all right it's tradition to rise up when you're greeting the hoary head you don't just stay seated and do that stuff now listen a lot of times i told brothers no no don't worry about it right and that's okay you see that in the military where you think they get that from right people come by they get ready to you know oh you know office on deck no no eddie's eddies eddies at ease right they'll give they'll return to salute boom and that's it they tell you be easy don't worry about staying up right but there's a respect there that goes with that there's a respect there can't just be sitting there hey i'll tell you another thing i've gone into bishop's house and he'll get up just as a hospitable thing when i go to greet him he doesn't stay seated again there's just respect back and forth to each other right but really right the emphasis is on what honoring the older right uh let's get wisdom of solomon four and eight but what does that mean right because i only got like one gray hair right here that one somewhere around here the book of wisdom of solomon chapter four and verse eight for honorable age is not that which standeth in length of time nor that is measured by number of years right so he's trying to bring this into perspective does that mean we shouldn't have a certain measure of respect for people older than us of course i've spoken to some of you man some of you men are over men in the spirit that are can be your father or your grandfather even right and i tell you listen you know there's levels and there's still a way to deal respectfully and still maintain your spiritual authority that you have but it says honorable age is not just length of time nor is it just measured by a number of years i'll explain that a little more in a few more scriptures all right come on but wisdom is the gray hair unto men and an unspotted life is old age right but the wisdom is that gray hair and how do we try to keep track of that here through the levels of the ranks that we have right so yes seniority counts for something right yes uh a brother's understanding counts for something but there's a combined effect that's there to give that sort of honor and respect and listen let me not make no mistake about it we only do everybody standing up right i don't want to see the whole congregation standing up all right that's only for deacons and up okay that's only for deacons and up just i'm saying be mindful like how about we start with the right pattern of greeting right it's it's it's the junior that's supposed to salute the senior what are we gonna say and what and let's get ephesians six and five while he uh i was gonna ask a question um they're going into uh high like on the bus too like you'll see certain little signs it says like uh you know pretty much rise up for um well they get that from the bible yeah handicap or elderly it'll tell you right so they get that from where it says uh honorable age that still shows you that age is honorable yes it doesn't discount it all together age is honorable right age is honorable i'm just talking in the context of the proper order of saluting when i mentioned that really right more than anything else all right but yeah age is honorable right take certain considerations for that okay uh ephesians six and five the book of ephesians chapter six and verse 5 servants be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh with fear and trembling there we go with the fear right but now i've explained what that fear is right that fear is the fear of doing something uh at fault letting them down something against what we know is expected right so it says with fear and trembling come on in singleness of your heart as unto christ the same way that you would profess to reverence christ right so when it says servants let's look up uh the definitions of minister and let me start with the vocabulary one first okay so minister you might meet a minister of the religious kind a pastor or rector or you may meet a minister of the government climate prime minister or minister of finance you don't have to be religious to minister when you minister to someone you take care of them all of these meanings of minister right so uh it says but as a noun and as a verb contain a grain of the original latin meaning servant servant so the junior ministers to the senior right serve it now don't mean you know you come to my house you're cooking all my meals you're washing my car things like that right um but it means that you're in service to the person above you let's get the definitions now all right because we're here serving and right away we're thinking only slavery and only chains and bonds right uh uh no that's not uh i would there was one for google that wasn't it though there's usually one that just says because that's webster that showed up at the top just put minister and see if it comes out without definition you're not connected all right give me the other ones for the sake of time uh scroll down it's the verb that we want to give service care or aid attend as to the wants or necessities all right let me get webster uh scroll down i want the verb keep going keep going keep going to give aid or service do we have synonyms for minister the google one is said serve that's why i wanted that one but maybe maybe if you go to thesaurus somewhere else it'll say it moving too slow just click on one of the sources where are you going just click on the thesaurus oh my goodness all right forget it it says serve right look it up on your own time you're messing me up you know what you don't understand how you mess the flow of things up with the big pauses like that it's ridiculous i know i know you feel me all right so read this verse again now the book of ephesians chapter six verse five servants be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh come on with fear and trembling in singleness of your heart as unto christ read on not with eye service as men pleasers but as the servants of christ doing the will of god from the heart and interestingly enough we're going to read colossians 3 what cap was bringing out in the beginning because it also applies to this so in ephesians it's saying similar to what it says in colossians 3 23 it says with good will doing services to the lord and not to men again i mentioned earlier not with this pride and ego that oh they should be saying you know hi to me i don't care that they they outrank me in this or whatever it is right i don't care about this type of honor i don't care about this type of uh respect for a blessing read on verse 7 with good will doing service as to the lord and not to men come on knowing that what so knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does the same shall he receive of the lord whether he be bond or free so whatever we do in this walk even in that remember that authority comes from god remember how they were trembled because he thought he gave the blessing wrong and all that stuff because he thought he went against god we just read how it says all those things from parents to going down to elders so you've got to find it within yourself this is what i said some of you will show all this reverence when you pray to god when you mention christ but then you don't show that same thing to his ministers right here down in the earth that's why it says according to the flesh and it calls your servants because it's ministers not because you're here to be our slaves and things like that and guess what likewise it says uh we need to be in service to everybody else as well so it's a relationship where we is you know how they say like the ball and chain we're bound to each other right in those things we're bound to each other that's why it says with fellow prisoners right what does he what's he saying my yoke mate or something like that paul says right so we're bound to each other in that way were you popping up that it says servant was that what you were trying to do i saw something flash on the screen were you flashing me don't flash me okay i'm done you don't need to flash me let's get colossians 3 and 22. the book of colossians chapter 3 and verse 22 servants obey in all things you are masters very similar to what we just read in ephesians right we understand servants is dealing with ministers come on obeying all things you are masters according to the flesh not with eye service as men pleasers but in singleness of heart fearing god come on and whatsoever ye do do it heartily as to the lord and not unto men right that's very similar to what he said in ephesians six and seven come on knowing that of the lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance for ye serve the lord christ with promise with promise ephesians six and eight said it ephesian colossians 3 and 24. it's the similar wording as to what we read when you read about the commandments of honor thy father and mother it's the same thing you do it why read that verse again knowing that of the lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance it's the same thing the honor needs to be there it's the same thing come on verse 25 but he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he had done and there is no respect of person that's like what we read in exodus 21 17 about the cursive right it says if you cursive you ain't gonna make it he says but if you do wrong you should receive for the wrong which he have done and when it says there's no respect of persons it means god's not gonna look at this thing and try to justify you if you don't do what he said right he's not going to try to oh well i did all these works or whatever a but you still didn't do things the way i needed you to do it here let's get roman 16 7. i should be able to get to what i got one two three four five more scriptures the book of romans seven chapter 16 and verse seven salute andronicus and junia my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners who are of note among the apostles right so the reason i want to go here i've mentioned this once before we spoke about honoring the years right he said they were in uh christ before me right but we often overlook where he says they are of note because remember where i said it's not just the length of years but it's the unspotted life it's the works that show forth somebody right of note of note read it again salute andronicus and junia my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners who are of note among the apostles who also were in christ before me hey because you have some i'll give you example their sisters they just started congregating like a year or two ago but they were watching at home for four or five years and they'll say i'm five years in the truth no you're not no you're not your time in the truth starts when you start going through trials in the congregation because there's three trials of faith marriage yourself and congregational so if you don't go through the congregational trials so that you could try your spirit and others with the things that invariably happen no you have not been in the truth all those years and i and there's brothers that'll sit here and tell you they've been 15 20 years in the truth they were not keeping all the commandments they were only keeping some here and there you were not in the truth all those years you knew about your heritage that's it that's it that's what that's going into so he says they were of note what makes you of note the unspotted age right and like we read in wisdom of solomon there's a number of years that go with it as well so there's a combination to all of this as far as that respect goes because i don't want like a a two-year soldier here trying to lord over brothers thinking that he's somebody of note there's a measure of respect and then you know you got to consider everything else as well there's a volume of work that needs to be considered you're going to say something yeah did you go over 4 moments 16 and 4. no all right go go over 16 and 4 for a second let's see why paul is saying what he's saying first and foremost it's just it's scriptural it's the law it's a commandment but let's look at this and this is going on for what captain yahshua i'm going to piggyback over what he just said here go ahead the book of romans chapter 16 and verse 4 who have for my life laid down their own necks you gotta read that with authority right because that's heavy what he's saying right here you gotta you gotta read that with some power bro who have from my life laid down their own necks we have gone out the men that were here before everybody that's here and this is not a vein thing cause y'all know what i don't roll that weight okay that's not my thing man all right all praises to the most high god he put that spirit on us we have gotten out the bishop and elders before us even for one where's rye and uh all the elders from over there they went out and put their necks on the line for us to be where we are today as a nation okay understand that all right we have been shot at we have been threatened to be shot we have been threatened with death murder for for the sake for because we believe in our nation we believe in the most high god and for the sake of our brothers and sisters so for you not to give respect and authority to those that came before you and put into work shame on each and every one of y'all even with the sisters that have been because they have been the pillars of rest for the men and their husbands who have gone out to battle and done the same things so shame on each and every one of you if you don't have no doggone respect for the people that came before you shame on you let's get first questions 13 and 1. first corinthians 13 and 1. the book of first corinthians chapter 13 and verse 1 though i speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not charity i am become as sounding brass or a tinkling symbol right so we're gonna go into a little bit of what the charity spirit is i'm not gonna make this a charity thing we're gonna read down to verse 11 but there's certain emphasis that needs to be had here because this honor to the father to the mother to the elders should not be done grievously all right remember we we kept the commandments grievously and that wasn't good enough for god we had to keep them with uh joyfulness and gladness of heart so that means any of these things you got to work it into your spirit right yeah at first right just like we were reading about discipline and wisdom it works with you by crooked ways showing you where you off at first you might just be doing it just because it's commanded that only gets you so far you have to get yourself built in the spirit where you actually rejoice in this and that's why i spent so much time at the beginning for you to understand the emphasis of the authority figure and the power that the most high has bestowed on those particular individuals starting with the father in the house right read on verse 2 and though i have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge and though i have all faith so that i could remove mountains and have not charity i am not right so we're saying you can't be puffed up in your knowledge and say that oh my faith is strong i know all this that and the other but then you lack in your charity right which is love right charities dealing with love come on verse three and though i bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though i give my body to be burned and have not charity it profiteth me nothing charity suffereth long and is kind charity envy is not charity vaunteth not itself is not puffed up these verses are so strong if you ever you know we talk about self-examination being a spiritual gift right if you can't self-examine off your own dome you need to refer to this charity stuff is long and it's kind charity envy if not come on charity vauntev not itself we're talking about weight on your ministry right come on is not puffed up does not behave itself unseemly seeketh not her own is not easily provoked thinketh no evil rejoices not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth this here these verses are vibrate very powerful for each and every one of us whenever we're feeling away whenever we're going through some stuff to realize are we displaying any of these spirits that he says are not charity or are we in the right mindset with that sort of stuff come on verse 7 beareth all things believeth all things hopeth all things endureth all things charity never faileth but whether there be prophecies they shall fail whether there be tongues they shall cease whether there be knowledge it shall vanish away right so my point is when it says of note it's not just because like i said there's people who they feel like they've been around a while they fit never never put in any type of real works never been anywhere and think that that's enough oh yeah i watched for home for 10 years and then i've been here three so i've been 13 years in the trip no you haven't no you haven't until you've been set up to be tried right you haven't done that you know why because if you watch for home for 10 years that means you weren't congregating that means you weren't fellowshipping that means you weren't going through those things so you're not in the truth that is lacking don't matter what your excuses were tell me the truth is an experience not just knowing you have to live it you have to become it you have to embrace it and you cannot do that in isolation you can't you can't read on verse 9 for we know in part and we prophesy in part but when that which is perfect is come then that which is in part shall be done away right so when that which is perfect shall become then that which is in part meaning that there's a blockage right there's only so much that's going to be revealed to us now right so we know in part and because we only know in part we're only prophesizing what we know right but when christ comes which is perfect right then that'll go away the reason he says that in the context of this chapter is what he's telling you what's lacking in the part that we can't see can be made up for in a charitable spirit you don't need to know all things you don't need to understand all things his knowledge surpasses all knowledge his infinite wisdom so how do you fill the gaps to get the other part charity right and part of the stuff with charity is what seeing that honor seeing that i mean this can apply to so many facets of behavior and issues in the body let's not forget the honor of the father mother and your elders piece as we go through this let's get colossians 3 14. charity opens up your understanding is what it's telling you charity opens up your understanding let's get colossians 3 14. the book of colossians chapter 3 and verse 14 and above all these things put on charity which is the bond of perfectness right and why is that important why is that important let's get matthew 5 48 this is why it's important it says charity is the bond of perfectness that means you take all these elements in this walk and in order to make them stick in order to make all these things cohesive you need to bond you need the fastener a bond is something that holds it together you need the glue and it says charity is that glue let's get matthew 5 48 the book of matthew chapter 5 verse 48 be therefore perfect even as your father which is in heaven is perfect we are commanded to be perfect is that attainable we know that we're not but it says charity fills the other part of that the part where it's knowledge base that only takes you halfway the other part you fill it in with charity it says that's the bond of perfectness because you got some people to be like keep the laws to the best of your ability like the and they'll say that we're jacked up when we say that and that's why you shouldn't keep the laws charity explains all that garbage away we know in part we prophesy in part so that means see because christianity are just focused on the charity and not the part about knowledge so even if the bible was for all nations under that madness right under that device of satan because that's what christianity as an organized religion is a device of satan all right even if that was the case they're still missing the other part so they try to come at us and say you you you shouldn't keep the laws and that weird because you say you keep it to the best of your abilities what we're really trying to bring out to you when we say that is what we just read there we know in part we prophesy in part but charity fills that other part it's the bond of perfectness first peter 2 17. charities not gonna make you feel away about giving the proper respect giving the proper order of how things are done and set up and if you do have a problem with it you're not in that spirit of perfectness go ahead the book of first peter chapter 2 and verse 17 honor all men love the brotherhood fear god honor the king right those that's like our credo that's our tenant it says honor all men right as brothers and sisters some of you outside of even respect to people that came before you can't even honor a brother or sister that's right next to you so scripture says honor all men right love the brotherhood that's going into charity means love love the brotherhood love the brotherhood the things that will keep you from perfectness are the things that were explained by paul that charity is not it doesn't vaunt itself it doesn't think evil it don't mean that the thoughts don't pop in your head hey sometimes i hear some stuff from somebody that don't sound right i pray it's not this and then i gotta check my spirit to make sure that don't linger let me not presume anything until we know that that's the case right it's not an easy thing but when you start to let that creep in what you're doing is the charity escapes and if charities the bond that's when like the fabric starts to tear right that's like uh you'll see like uh movies with a rope right and it's like the rope is about to break it's unraveling right that's how it is in your spirit when you don't operate with charity when you start letting those things that we read about in first corinthians 13 that he says i'm not charity creep in and take hold in you right and then once you fall that's it it's a wrap a lot of people you fall down you're not gonna be able to get back up from that i want to make a point here where it says honor i have a little letter next to mine and it says esteem and i think i asked you to put up esteem because again we read honor and i think we think it's just pleasantries right says esteem the regard in which one is held especially a high regard so i have a little letter next to mine where honor means esteem right so we must hold each and every one of each other in high regard and like as we've read and what we brought out and even more to those that have put in works that have come before right respect and admiration typically for a person respect and admire you value them you regard them as someone of note were there any other definitions to regard highly or favorably regard with respect or admiration to consider as of a certain value or a certain type remember we read like as unto god as unto realizing that stuff so when it says honor all men it means esteemed them paul also says esteem others better than yourselves that goes into that honor and remember honor is a combination of love and fear as is commanded in leviticus 19 is love and fear it starts with god first then it starts in the home and whatever set up you got so if you're a married couple and there's no kids then it starts with uh the husband and wife you have children it extends to them and then it also extends when you get into the congregation as you see that they desired the blessing of moses the scripture commands us to honor the horry head and we've gone over and defined what that really means right so we don't see no nonsense you got a seven year brother or ten year sister i mean you got a brother seven years and he the same rank that should that should raise some questions i'll tell you sisters if you're talking to a brother and he'd say he'd been in the truth 10 years and he's a soldier run something ain't right i'm not not that the rank really means anything but what that means is something ain't right with somebody and i'm exaggerating but there's a scale in there with that sort of stuff right you got to ask yourself is this person really about the lord and that's what you want more than anything else all right are they really about the lord uh anyway i pray y'all get some understanding from this that it meditate on it let it marinate into your spirit and law is where we can all apply better right we must be perfect all right uh you got anything so with that i say shalom we used to scream black power while herron was pushed but at the end of the day nothing's in vain iuic has been given a vision the tense of judah has risen many has attempted the mission minor murmuring omitting and missing the mark just reading that he had the flame of fire in his eyes gave us the spark we on paul's mission we out on the road purple and gold from mexico cuba haiti ghana sierra leone 144 000 boots banging concrete crackling these are our men repented at heart the scriptures is proof iuic we deliver the truth [Music] you
