Creative Cat-Inspired Science Experiments

Hi! My name is Lizzie, and today I'm so excited to be doing some cat-tastic experiments inspired by Gabby's Dollhouse! Huzzah! In one of my favorite episodes, Mer-Cat mixes up an awesome bubble bath. Bubble baths make everyone feel better! That's true! Hop in! So today I'm going to be doing three bubble-tastic experiments. These experiments can be done with things you find around your house, so feel free to try them at home. The first thing I'm going to make is bouncing bubbles. Did you... You know that you can make bubbles that you can bounce in your hand? All you need for this experiment is water, soap, glycerin, a straw, and some gloves! Woo! And if you have glycerin, put that in there too. It'll make the bubbles extra strong. It's gonna be a waterfall. Woo! And now, I'm just gonna mix it all together. Woo, it looks really pretty. I love it. So now, you can blow some bubbles. That's a big one. Let's see if I can hold it. Oh, it popped. We're going to pop this bubble. Bubbles pop when you touch them. But when I put on the gloves, you can bounce them in your hands. Let's do this. It's working! Hug attack! Boy, that's one tough bubble. Woo! I'm holding on. This is so cool. I'm going to try to bounce it. Woo! Woo! When your groove is gone and you've got troubles, bubbles, bubbles, bubbles, then you ought to kick back and listen to the bubbles. I'm going to try to bounce it. Woo! Woo! When your groove is gone and you've got troubles, bubbles, bubbles, bubbles, then you ought to kick back and listen to the bubbles. Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles, bubbles. For this experiment, I'm going to blow one bubble into another bubble to make a double bubble, or maybe even a triple bubble. To get started, I need to make sure my table cloth is a little wet with bubble juice. Just kind of scooping it out like ice cream. Okay, so now I'm dipping my straw in and... Whoa! That's a big one! I should be able to poke my straw right through this bubble. And then you can blow another bubble. That's so cool! Oh my gosh! Now I have a double bubble! Let's see if I can make a triple bubble. We did it! Wow! This looks so cool! Just mix soap and water, you know what you get! Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles! See them float around until they pop! For my last experiment, I'm making a rainbow bubble snake. For this, you need bubble juice, rubber band, toilet paper roll, washcloth, and some food dye. Put a washcloth over one end of the tube and secure it with a rubber band. So now you dip the washcloth in the bubbles and now you blow. Whoa! It is a bubble snake! It's saying hi! Say hi! I'm gonna do it again, but this time I'm gonna use food coloring. Gabby's favorite color is rainbow, so I am going to use all the colors. So I'm gonna do... one strip of pink and then one strip of orange and it is coming on and now the last one my favorite color purple very pretty. I'm going to spread it around with my finger. Just going to do, dip it in and blow. turned out that great Look at the washcloth. It's so pretty. I hope this experiment was so fun. I love bubbles Bubble, so much fun! Pop, pop, pop! Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles! I had so much fun doing bubble science experiments today. And I hope you followed along and did some great bubble magic of your own. Hi, I'm Lizzie. And today, I'm so excited to be doing a cat-tastic experiment from Gabby's Dollhouse. Woo-hoo! Woo! When Kitty Fairy gets sick, the Rainbow Tree loses its color. How's the Rainbow Tree feeling? Well, I've been hugging him for a long time. But it's not bringing his color back! Gabby and Panty ask for Murcat's help. Murcat! We could really use your help in the garden. I'll be right up! And using Spa Science, they're able to get the trees rainbow back. We gotta get you healthy, so you get your color back. Like your sister. Today, I'm going to use the same spa... that the Gabby cats use to make my white flowers colorful. Spa science! For this experiment, I'll need some white flowers, something to put my flowers in, and some food coloring. I'm going to start off with some blue. I think I'm going to do 15 drops. Ta-da! It's so pretty how it goes down. Now I'm going to add some red. It's so pretty how it goes down. It's so pretty how it goes in. I love it. So now I'm gonna do some green. Stripping in there. Reminds me of chocolate syrup. I love spa science. Now I'm doing my yellow. Now I'm gonna make purple with red and blue. Using spa science, they mix together. Whoa, red and blue make purple. It's already mixed. together it's so pretty now I want to make some orange because what makes a rainbow without orange yellow and red make orange let's take the red in the yellow Beautiful! With three colors of the rainbow! Red, yellow, and blue! We can make so many others! See when we mix them up with you! Now that our colored water is made, all we have to do is add the water to the pot. to do is put in our flowers and wait let's do blue first my favorite color I can't wait to see how this one turns out now comes red then the green I've actually never seen a green flower that's gonna be really cool now yellow and for purple I'm gonna stir it around a little bit because it's at one of the mixed colors and same for orange stir it around oh it's working pretty when flowers drink they use their stem like a straw sucking the water all the way from the bottom to the petals it's gonna take a while to see any changes so let's take a look at the flowers that I did last night. Here they are! Wow! These are so cool! They turned out amazing! These flowers changed just like the rainbow tree did. I'm glad you're feeling better, buddy! My favorite one is probably the orange. I like how it stands out. And the green one looks crazy! I've never seen a green flower before. I had so much fun with this spa science experiment and I hope you had fun watching! Hi, my name is Lizzie and today I'm so excited to be making some cat tacit treats inspired by Gabby's dollhouse I'm making the snacks that Gabby and Pandy had at Kitty Fairy sleepover. But first I need to get sleepover ready Oh my gosh, my ears look just like Gabby's! But now that I look like Gabby, I need a Pandy. Hug attack! Pandy! To really make this a kitty fairy sleepover, I need a sleeping spot. Wow! It's a Meowsing! It's cat-tastic! I love it! Now that my room is ready, it's time to make some kiddie fairy sleepover snacks! The first thing I'm making today is some rainbow fairy popcorn. Popcorn! Yay! All you need is four bowls of popcorn and candy melts. I'm going to start with purple. My mom's going to heat it up just to make sure it's not too hot. So now I'm going to start pouring this in the first bowl of popcorn. Oh wow. It's coming down in globs. Okay, now to mix. Popcorn and chocolate? That's an awesome combination. I think it looks really pretty, and it smells good, too. Now, I'm going to spread the popcorn out on a piece of parchment paper so the coating can harden. Let's take it out. I need to spread it evenly. Okay, now I'm going to put on some sprinkles. Sprinkles make everything better. I love it! I can't wait to eat it! Now, I'm going to do orange. This one did not melt as well, but let's try. So I'm going to put this much in. And it is very globby. I'm not sure this is going to work, but that's okay. We can try it with the pink. Yay! Oh yeah, that's looking good. Okay, let's melt the blue one. Hope this one works too. Okay, I think that is good and mixed. Perfect. Now while the popcorn dries, I'm going to make some fizzy fairy juice. Welcome to Fizzy Fairy Juice Falls. Can we drink it? Of course. So I'm going to make about half of it sparkling water and the other half pink lemonade. Let's put this in. Oh, it's already fizzing. I love this that looks like an awesome drink and the most important part the edible glitter oh that was a lot I'm going to mix that That's so pretty and it's fizzing even more I can hear it. It's so pink and glittery It looks like a planet storm Now it's time to assemble the rainbow kitty popcorn in my popcorn container And some pink and blue can't wait to try it I think that's good. It's gonna fall off otherwise Look at my cute snacks Now it's time to eat them together This is so good and now for some fizzy fairy juice That's so good I even can taste the fizz Mmm, fairy-tastic! These would be great sleepover treats or just fun activities to do with friends. I had so much fun recreating Kitty Fairy's sleepover and I hope you had fun watching. Hi, my name is Lizzie and today I'm so excited to do a cat-tastic craft from Gabby's Dollhouse. Purse Day Hug Attack! Purse Day is everyone's favorite holiday in the Dollhouse. It's a day to celebrate all things cat. Happy Pursday everybody! Wahoo! Yeah! In order to have a great Pursday party, we need some decorations. In Gabby's Dollhouse, Baby Box teaches Gabby and Pandy how to make some. Today, I'm going to make some peek-a-boo kitty paper dolls on my own. Let's get crafting! We'll need some paper, scissors, glue, tape, markers, and some fun stuff to decorate it with. with. Let's see what the first step is. To make peekaboo kitty paper dolls you start with a big piece of paper. Fold your paper accordion style under over under over. So over under over Under. Now you draw your peekaboo kitty. Just follow me. Make a big round shape at the bottom. And you go up to make the arm. Oh, and this is the important part. You've got to let the arm go all the way to the edge of the paper, like this. Then curve up to make the head and the little kitty ears. Then down to the other arm. And here is my peekaboo kitty outline. Ta-da! Ta-da! Ta-da! Now you keep your paper folded and cut out your kitty. Cutty, cutty. This is my favorite sound. And done! We get to open it up! I love this part! Let's all do it together on the count of three! Aw, the hamster kitties want to see too! Okay, ready? One, two, three. Ta-da! It worked! My gosh, five kitties! They're all so cute! Now let's give them kitty faces. Two little kitty eyes, a kitty nose, and a happy kitty mouth. So now I'm going to do some round eyes. Like it's sleeping. And then a cute little nose. And a mouth. Now, I think I'm going to give them some ears. Perfect! Aren't they all so cute? Now you can decorate your peek-a-boo kitty! With paint, jewels, pom-poms, whatever you want! Here is my peekaboo kitty paper dolls. Wooo! It's like they're all dressed up for Pursday. Let's see if I can make some different shapes. I'm going to try clouds. yeah time to decorate which one's your favorite there are so many different ways to decorate peekaboo kitty paper dolls and there are so many different shapes to try these peekaboo kitties are ready for a per se party I had so much fun making these cat-tastic crafts and I hope you had fun watching. Try it yourself! My name is Lizzie and today I'm so excited to do a cat-tastic experiment inspired by Gabby's dollhouse. For today's experiment, all you'll need is salt, water, cups, raw eggs, food coloring, and spoons. In the Easter Kitty Bunny episode, Gabby and Pandy have an egg that's about to hatch. But then it gets mixed up with some other eggs. Mercat uses a special sink float potion to figure out which potion is theirs. Ooh. This potion makes the eggs that aren't theirs float to the top. I don't have Mercat's sink float potion, but I do know how we can make some. Spot Science. For this experiment, I'm going to see what happens when I put eggs in different types of water. To make this experiment more fun, I'm going to add food coloring to the waters. Let's make this one blue and this one pink. So I'm going to take my pink and my blue. I'm going to do about 15 drops. They're so, it's so pretty. So now I'm going to do my pink. I want this to be a bit of a lightish. pink. That's really pretty. To make my sink float potion, I'm gonna add a bunch of salt to the pink one. Once I've added the salt, we're gonna put eggs in both of these and see what happens. So now I am taking the salt and I'm gonna add a bunch in. I think I'm gonna use a spoon for this so it's not too messy and it's already being messy. You need a lot of salt to make this work. Once you've added the salt, give it a good stir. Wait until you see the salt settle at the bottom of the glass. Let's see what happens when you add the eggs to the different waters. That idea gets a fishtail vibe! I'm gonna do the blue first. And it fell down it looks really big like it grew two sizes So now I'm gonna do the pink Let's see if it floats. Oh It's floating So the pink one did float a little bit, but let's see what happens when you add even more salt Let's put in the salt. Let's put in the salt. Now I'm going to mix it up. So now I'm going to take my egg and drop it in. It's at the top. It floats. Yeah. Woo-hoo. That was the bubbles. So this must mean that the plain water is less dense than the salt water. Now I'm going to see what happens when I put the tap water in the salt water using this turkey baster. Let's get started! It bubbled. Now you need to release this gently. Now the top is turning blue! That's crazy! Just pouring it. Look at all that! That's just like blue! Shimmering sea scales! I wonder if I can make a rainbow by layering waters with different levels of salt in them. Let's try it! Now I'm going to add the different amounts of salt first, and then I'll add the colors. Scoop! Time to make the rainbow. Since the pink is the densest, I am going to add that first. Now let's see if the yellow works. Good luck! Cakey's rooting for you! So the yellow didn't work out well, but let's try our green. I hope this works. Is it working? Maybe it's gradual? Let's try the blue. I can't believe- it didn't work. My spa science never fails. Well, that didn't really go as planned, but that's what experiments are all about. Trying new things. You can't really tell the difference when using different levels of salt water, but when using a lot of salt and no salt, you can really tell the difference. Hi, I'm Lizzie. Today, I am so excited to be trying out some of the crafts from Gabby's Dollhouse. Great! Let's get crafting! I am going to be following along as Gabby and her friends make some colorful super soaps. How do we start? First, we have to do the colors that they picked for their soaps. I'm gonna pick yellow! I'm going to have my mom heat up these soaps and then I'll be able to add the colors. Okay, let me just grab the yellow. I'm not sure how many drops I can do but I'm excited to do it Okay, it is all stirred. I want mine to be blue! I'm gonna make this one blue. Okay, I'm gonna do three drops. No more because the dye is very strong. Oh, okay, I did a lot. I'm gonna make my soap pink! Oh, this is a pretty pink. What color do you want yours to be, Mercat? I want my soap to be green, like me. Now I'm going to do Mercat's green. That's the green soap right here. Now we just need to pour these into the mold to shape our soaps. First, I'm going to do Baby Box's egg shape. Okay, Baby Box's soap looks good. Murkat does the kitty shape. This one is gonna be cute. I want mine to be shaped like an ice pop. So, since he did an ice pop, I'm going to put a popsicle stick in this. Now I'll put that in the middle one. I like the heart shape. Her soap kinda turned out a little orange, but I like it. It's a pretty pinkish coral color. Now we get to pick out our super special charms! So, Baby Box has a dinosaur shaped charm. So I'm going to put that in hers. I see the perfect one for me! Now I'm going to pour this into Murkat's mold. Let me just do that. She put a pink star, but I'm going to put a couple of pink stars. Because I want to make it my own, you know? I love hearts, so this is my special charm. She put another heart in her heart, but I love stars. So I'm going to put a lot of stars. And I'll put a heart, just so it's a little like hers. For my special charm, I'm going to pick. The pickle! The pickle? Yeah, cause it's silly, like me! This kind of looks like a pickle, would you agree? And a lot of flowers, so the pickle's not all by itself. Now we are going to put all of the soap molds in the freezer for 15 minutes, and then we will come back and see how they turned out. That should do it. Super Soaps are ready! First off, I'm going to be doing baby boxes. Wow, this is like a big reveal. Whoa, look at that. There's a dinosaur in it and everything. It looks awesome. I'm going to be using this every day. And now I am going to do Gabby's mold. Okay. Oh, it's going out. Wow. This looks awesome. There's stars inside. All I have to say, wow, so pretty. I am going to do Pandy's. This is a popsicle. so this is gonna be exciting. You did it, yay! Now I'll eat the popsicle. No, do not eat it, this is soap, not a popsicle. Yuck! Who makes a pickle ice pop out of soap? Now it's time for Murkats. This is going to be exciting. Oh, it's cute and it has stars all over its face. Look at that. All of these soaps turned out awesome. I love them all. Just. Just look at them, they're amazing. Hi, I'm Lizzy. Today I can't wait to follow along with a fun, relaxing craft from Gabby's Dollhouse. I'm making squishy, squeezy glow masks. Squishy, squeezy glow masks? Try saying that three times fast. Squishy, squeezy glow masks. Squishy, squeezy glow masks. Squishy, squeezy glow masks. Okay, now let's get started. For my squishy, squeezy glow masks, we need avocado, lemon, and honey. Let's give it a go. What do we do first, Kiki? The first thing we do is scoop out the avocado with a spoon. Scoop and scoop and in with the swoop. Scooping out avocado, scooping out avocado. But now I'll mash it up. Okay, this is fun. What's next? Now here comes the fun part. You use your hands to mush and mash the avocado. Oh, no. That's very mushy. Nice. Ugh. This is fun but strange at the same time. Then we squeeze in a dash of lemon and then a drop of honey. Then mush and mash again. So, we mush and mash and mix in a dash of lemon and a drop of honey. Lemon and a drop of honey. Mush and mash with us. Mush and mash. And mix in a dash Of lemon and a drop of honey Lemon and a drop of honey Mush and mash And mix in a dash Of lemon and a drop of honey Lemon in a drop of honey Mush and mash And mix and attach Of lemon in a drop of honey Lemon in a drop of honey There! Now it's ready! I'm so excited to try this! Okay! Now I'm gonna follow Gabby's steps Do you like my mustache? First You draw a mustache. How do I look? Do I look awesome? I think it's gonna work. I'm not sure but probably. Only one way to find out! Pat and Pat, just like that! Pat and Pat, just like that! I wonder how it's gonna be, now we gotta wait and see. Mmm, nice. Mmm. Okay, now I need to leave the mask on for five more minutes and then I'll wash it all away. One, two, three, four, five. Let's see the results. It worked. I'm glowing. Look at my face. If you want to do a relaxing craft, you should try this too! Hi, I'm Lizzie and today I'm so excited to be doing a crafty-riffic art experiment inspired by Gabby's dollhouse. We can't wait to see what happens! everyone is making! On Baby Box's Meowseum day, all of the Gabby cats make special art projects for Baby Box's art show. I'm going to make an art project of my own! See you at the Meowseum show! For today's project, I'm making art with gravity! Who knew there were so many ways to create a painting? This might get messy, so I might need an apron. Awesome! This is a pendulum. A pendulum hangs from a string and swings back and forth. To make one, I just need a cup, a string, and a rubber band. To start, have a parent poke a hole into the bottom of an empty cup. Now you need three long, even pieces of string. Now take the three pieces and tie them around your rubber band. band. There are my three strings on the rubber band. Now I'll take this rubber band and put it around the top of my cup like right here. I'm going to tie the knot about here so the cup will hang evenly. Okay. That's good. And now I have a pendulum. See how easy? Now I need something tall to hang my pendulum on. I'm using two stools and a meter stick. I am going to take two strings and one string. And tie them around. And perfect. Look at it swing. Hi. Now it's time for the fun part. Let's paint. I'm using tempera paint mixed with water. I'm going to make sure I put my finger at the bottom of the bowl so it doesn't leak out while I'm pouring. That is such a pretty color. OK. Now I'm going to use the pendulum. I'm so excited. What? One, two, three! That's so cool! It looks like a planet. Wow. Now I'm going to carefully set this painting aside and I'm going to do another one. I'm going to try to make a rainbow of warm colors. So I'm going to use pink, orange, and yellow. I'm going to squeeze a little. this and I'm going to let it go. That looks cool. And now I'm going to do a little orange in it. Mix it up. So I got it. enough orange and I'm going to try to put it over here that looks so cool and now last but not least I'm going to do yellow squeeze squeeze squeeze squeeze so now I'm going to do the yellow like that Doesn't that look so cool? Calling all the cats! Baby Box here! Head on up to the craft room because it's time for the big museum show! It's showtime! Wow! I had so much fun making these paintings with the pendulum. They are so pretty and I want to hang them up on my wall now. I definitely think these are ready for Baby Box's art show. And I hope you enjoyed watching! I'm Lizzie, and today I'm so excited to be doing a cat-tastic bath bomb experiment inspired by Gabby's dollhouse. Here are the ingredients I'll need to make the bath bomb. Baking soda, cornstarch, citric acid, Epsom salt, water, coconut oil, some soap colors, and a bath bomb mold. Gabby and Pandy have a little capsule that has a a big dinosaur inside just waiting to come out. When they toss the capsule in the water, Spongisaurus grows to his full size. I'm putting a dino capsule inside my bath bomb to grow my own Spongisaurus. So let's get started. First, one half cup of cornstarch. Now one half cup of Epsom salt. One cup of baking soda. And one half cup of citric acid. Now it's time to mix it all together. I'm going to have my mom microwave the coconut oil with the water. Okay, now I have the wet ingredients. I'm going to add blue soap coloring because I want a blue bath bomb. I'm going to add about 20 drops because I want an extra blue. It's so pretty going in. I love that. It looks like a lava lamp. I think that's enough. That's really blue. I'm so excited Now it's time to mix it up. I wanted to make my bath bomb blue to look like blue water Now I'm going to add the wet mix to the dry mix a tiny bit at a time So I'm just gonna go in spoonfuls. It's fizzing! That's so cool! I need to mix that up. It looks kind of like putty. Now I'm gonna do another spoonful. Now I'm just gonna dump the whole thing and see how this goes. Oh my gosh, that was a big fist. Wow, that's a lot. I hope it still works out. I bet it will. I'm gonna get my hands in it. Now, I'm gonna put on my gloves. Okay, so first I'm gonna get this out of the whisk because more bath bomb. I'm gonna put that there. That feels so nice! I love that! It's like kinetic sand kind of. Look at the color! It's so pretty! Now I'm going to take one half of the bath bomb mold. And I'm going to take a big scoop and fill it up to the top. You just lightly press it so you're not being too rough with it. Now for the second half of the mold, I'm going to stick it in. But this one is going to be the one with the dino capsule. But first, I want to dig a little hole so it can... can be nice and snug. There I'm putting it in and I'm going to put some more on top. Now we're going to stick them together. Now I'm going to make sure they click together. Okay so now I'm going to let my bath foam dry. Let's see how it turns out. Now let's just see how it works. It's all in one piece. I'm so happy that worked out. Okay, little one. It's time to grow, so in you go. And I guess now I'm going to put it in the water. I can hear it! It is making the water blue! It looks like Kitty Fairy's pond! The capsule is starting to come out! Spongesaurus is going to start growing soon! He's growing! Ta-da! Whoa! Fuck! There he is! Spongysaurus is fully grown! Hi, Spongysaurus! It's nice to meet you! Look at him! He's so cute! I love him! He's walking in the water! He can walk on water! That's crazy! This is so cool. I love Spongisaurus, and he used to be like that small. He grew. I'm big, I'm big, I'm big! I had so much fun making my dino-tastic Spongisaurus bath bomb.
