Beginners Guide to Dropshipping Success

Well, I guess it's about that time that I release a full beginner guide and walkthrough on how to start dropshipping and e-commerce in 2024. And look, if you've clicked on this video, you've probably heard of the term dropshipping. You've probably heard of e-commerce because it's blown up in the past few years, just like me. So the purpose of this whole video is to simplify the entire process and just show you in the easiest and most step-by-step way possible. on how to actually get started and start taking some action today so just before i touch on why you should get started with drop shipping what exactly is drop shipping or is it right for you to start i just want to take a moment to be raw honest and genuine and say that over the past five years online business getting into e-commerce has genuinely changed my life It's given me everything that I could have ever imagined and so much more and I'm extremely grateful to be in the position that I am today. None of this is possible. You see awards behind me, million dollar plaques. You see YouTube, 100,000 subscriber plaques. I'm sitting in multi-million dollar homes, on the water, beachfront. I drive a Lamborghini Urus. I buy pretty much whatever I want. I want I have ultimate time financial and location freedom and I say all this not to flex but to truly impress upon you What is actually possible if you put your head down and start taking action towards your dream life and what you truly want? I really hope there's an 18 year old out there or younger version of myself watching this video and is going to take every piece of information that I give them and apply it to their life directly because had I had a video like this back when I started it would have shortcutted my entire process and probably allowed me to be where I am today in a fraction of the time. Today I'm 23 years old I've done north of 10 million dollars in online sales I'm a multi-millionaire and like I said I really feel like I've finally got it all figured out and I'm making fast progress towards all the other goals and all the other amazing things I have planned. Of course, that being said, I'm far from where I want to be. I'm far from who I want to be, but I'm really enjoying the process and I'm loving where I currently am. And this is a position where I want to get every single one of you guys behind the screen right now too, because truly life opens up and you have limitless options with what you can do for yourself. If you're here in this one, this is the perfect place to start. It's the beginner's guide and we'll get you everything you need to know to get started. Without any further ado, I am so excited to give you guys. all the value that i possibly can before i leave social media and let's just jump straight into this beginner walkthrough to drop shipping so just to lay it out here in this video what you're going to be getting is an introduction to shopify drop shipping and e-commerce you're going to be getting a store walkthrough so i'm going to show you the stuff that everyone skips over and the things that you genuinely need to know in order to start your very first store Also, some optional store improvements or things that you can do right out the gate to get the edge over your competitors and ensure that you'll have success on your first time trying e-commerce. Now, we also have how to market your products. A little bit of bonus stuff I'm going to talk about. So firstly, if you're brand new, you've never even heard of dropshipping by chance, what is it exactly? Well, a lot of people get this wrong and even people who've heard about it for years are still getting this wrong. Dropshipping is simply just a fulfillment model or method. It's a branch of e-commerce that allows you to start a business in the most lean way possible. What do I mean by lean? I mean without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on inventory, which you traditionally would when starting a physical product business, or without even having to spend any money on marketing. And I'll show you how to do that a little bit later. But dropshipping allows you to create a brand and start selling products with practically zero overhead expenses, making it the most beginner-friendly business model. and in my opinion the best to start because this beginner friendly business model has infinite scalability some of the biggest brands in the world like gymshark or sheen have started with the drop shipping business model this business model allows you to compete with companies with access to millions of dollars in funding because you can simply rely on a third-party manufacturer and you don't have to pay for any inventory until you've received money up front it's kind of like an airbnb or uber type business model where here's your store in the middle on this diagram you're typically finding undervalued products from china or aliexpress and you're up charging for them you're marking up the product because of the value add in between so you're building a storefront you're communicating with your potential customers and over time you're going to start to develop on the product you're going to start to get into custom packaging branding logos and really building a brand but in the beginning you're just providing a little bit of value add you're coming up with excellent ways to market the product and you're taking an undervalued product and you're charging more for it and keeping all of that profit in between through your very own shopify store from there as you're marketing your store and you successfully make a sale you're going to contact your supplier which i'll show you how to do again in a moment and they're going to send that product out directly to your end consumer wherever they are in the world and let's say the product is costing you ten dollars and you're selling it for thirty well then you're essentially going to keep that twenty dollar profit in between now i want to set some things clear here let's talk about the reality of drop spring because a lot of people think that it's some kind of get rich quick scheme you can start and overnight you can become a millionaire and if that's you then you should probably click off this video and i don't know maybe go look at crypto or forex or something because look you can become a multi-multi-millionaire very very quickly I have friends who have done it in a year. It personally took me a couple years of dropshipping to become a millionaire, but it is entirely possible to do it in a very short amount of time. But that doesn't necessarily mean you will. Everybody's different. Everybody has different talents and circumstances that might allow them. to excel much, much faster. But what I can guarantee is that if you put your head down and you do not stop, you continue problem solving and finding a way through every obstacle and roadblock, then you too will eventually be set financially free. Listen, I've never seen a single person who's committed and who's genuinely had the mindset it's not a matter of if but it's a matter of when like they know they're going to be successful and they just do not stop until they make it I've never seen a person with that mindset not make it and by make it I mean become financially successful with their business and start to live the life that they truly want And what's crazy is for most people to start seeing some preliminary success and by that I mean a few thousand dollars a month in profit It typically takes people anywhere between one to three months with all the tools they have at their disposal today I mean you literally have so many free tools online that will shortcut your growth It's absolutely wild and what's crazy to me is when I think about the comparison of you know traditional education where people Typically have to go through four years of schooling on top of all their high school and primary school education to come out and have the chance of one day working up to a high-paying job, a six-figure job over five years, 10 years, 15 years. It really is quite crazy that young kids at the age of 18, was when I made my first $100,000 in a year, is becoming the reality, is becoming the norm with business models like dropshipping and like e-commerce. But that's not to say that e-commerce is the only way to do this. I'm not going to be the one to sit here on my high horse just because I made millions in this business model and say that this is the only way to get rich. I have so many friends. who made tons of money in various different online business models but i'm telling you where you wanna be right now as somebody who doesn't have decades of experience as somebody who probably doesn't have any fancy degrees special talents handouts you want to be in the online world because money speed and right now the internet is moving with ferocious speed we're in practically a revolution the ai revolution which is allowing us to automate workflow and tasks like never before and capitalizing and taking advantage of that while we can we are truly in unprecedented times like this is an amazing like i am baffled by the amount of opportunity that there is for a young person starting out with no skills in the online world today and that's exactly what happened to me my life got changed in less than six months of becoming head down obsessive over this shit But my best advice to you here is to pick one thing my personal opinion and my favorite would be e-commerce But if it's not for you if you want to get into crypto if you want to get into Hell and OnlyFans agency if that's where your passion is go do it and just obsess over and stop looking at all these other shiny Objects it's called shiny object syndrome and it literally kills 95% of beginner entrepreneurs starting out now no thing or two about this because I've personally helped Thousands of clients get started with e-comm, live their dream lives, have success over the past few years, and time and time again, the biggest killer of this is seeing somebody else's success and somebody else's results somewhere else and turn in your head. And people do this over and over and over again. I'm sure you know people in your life who have a really bad case of shiny object syndrome. Don't be that person. Pick one thing, stick to it every single day, become obsessed, and that's how you're going to start to see those compounding returns, those outsized returns on all of your work. so for me to you if you're on this video you're probably at least somewhat interested in e-commerce i challenge you to take it seriously give it at least three months of obsessive focus every single day and then let me know hit me up on instagram send me a dm let me know how you've done because i love every day i get 10 20 probably 30 dms of people having success getting their first sale making their first ten thousand dollars in some cases people send me million dollar screenshots it's really that crazy you don't believe me you can go to my instagram look at my ins Instagram story highlights. The proof is in the pudding. It's not just me who's made millions of dollars with this. There's literally thousands of people and my entire network, everybody is winning. Even my close friends I grew up with is winning with online business with some form or another because I've put them on. I've encouraged everyone around me and I'm doing the same for you right now. Take this as your sign to go all in and don't let yourself down this time. So now that you have a good understanding of what dropshipping is, let's show you how to set up your first Shopify store and show you around. All right, so the first thing that you want to do and i'll do it along with you is actually go to the description of this YouTube video and click on the top link. This is my ai software that i've been working extremely hard on They'll build you a shopify store without you having to do any work in less than 10 10 minutes I don't know how long I'll be able to offer this for free the reason why I can is because I'm partnered with Shopify and Tick Tick and they pay me and incentivize me to continue creating great products services and teaching you guys as much as I possibly can for free so it's a crazy win-win-win situation this is the easiest way to get started if you don't want to do this I also have a link to Shopify and you can set up the store entirely on your own but you might as well shortcut the process and have the store for you in less than 10 minutes once click on that link it's going to ask you a few simple questions like setting up your colors you can go ahead and follow through this entire process i'm not going to do the entire process on this video because like i said it takes about 10 minutes but i'm just showing you guys right now a couple simple steps and it's just going to keep taking you through all these different customizations and all the tweaks that you need so we can go ahead and start building out your shopify store for you now once you go through that process you'll be taken to your shopify store with your email and login that looks just like this so again everyone in most tutorial videos just goes over all of the most basic important things for you to know but i'm going to make sure you don't miss these key things so essentially this is the home page here and this is going to show you kind of your daily snapshot or analytics how many store sessions you have your total sales your total orders for the day and your conversion rates and also tell you if you have any orders that you need to fulfill and then down here they're just going to be giving you some recommendations below the home tab you're going to see your orders tab so i'm going to shopify store that i used to sell another product on so that's why you can see all these orders when you start getting orders yourself it'll look something like this so you'll have the order number the date that it was placed the customer the sales channel that they came in which is typically your online store meaning your websites uh the price they paid and this is how you can keep track of if all these orders have been fulfilled, meaning that people received their tracking numbers, they're actually receiving their products, what kind of shipping was used to send them the products, and so on and so forth. You can also create draft orders in here. For example, if somebody wanted to place an order with you for 10,000 of your products, you couldn't do that directly on the website, but you could draft up the specific invoice and order for them right in this section. You also have shipping labels and abandoned checkouts. Abandoned checkouts is basically when people who were about to purchase ended up not purchasing. And there's so many different ways that you can go ahead and win back that customer there's email flows and sequences and more advanced things but we'll worry about that a little bit later now here's the products tab so you're getting a little sneak peek into some winning products i was selling but basically inside of your products tab it'll show you the products that are on your website right now in this case i had the original swing trainer trains your golfing swing and a couple of complementary products that work as upsells or accessories to increase my average order value and thus make me even more profitable on this store and down here you can create collections of products you can track your inventory you can manage your purchase orders you can do inventory transfers you can set up gift cards maybe you have a friend or family you want to give them a special deal in your store or you want to allow them to buy a product for free well this is where you can issue them a gift card or you could eventually start selling gift cards this list of all the people who purchase your product you're going to have information on your customer base which when you cro when you want to create different audiences and segment them but that'll be covered in the marketing section now content this is where you're just going to have files so all the images videos things like that that you actually use on your website and then analytics so this is where you're going to see your total sales you're going to see where those sales have came came in from. You're going to see the online store sessions or the amount of people who have visited your website, your conversion rates. So this is essentially how well your website is converting out of every hundred people that visit your website. How many are purchasing? In my case, 3.62% are purchasing a total orders, 1644 total orders. So how many orders have you done in your store? Average order value and a couple more metrics. And of course this can be filtered by whatever dates you want. So if you're looking at a week, if you're looking at your store's all time performance. that's how you track all that stuff and there's some more reporting in here and a live view so if there's anybody currently on your store if there's anybody purchasing this is very cool because you can see exactly where they are in the world and i'm sure you guys have seen this kind of view on my instagram story or people like that who are showcasing their successful stores and products and then marketing in here allows you to run marketing campaigns directly through your shopify and connected to tick tock facebook things like that but again more on that later uh discount codes so special discount codes that you can make for people similarly to a gift card but this just allows them to put it in directly on The checkout page so they can get 15% off 50% off so on and so forth for specific reasons So now that you have a brief understanding of the menu section here just below it. We have sales channels So most importantly you have online store. So this is where your website is actually being held as you can see This is the theme. So right now I'm using dawn which is like a basic free Shopify theme It's gonna show you a few metrics on your store like your loading speed your interactivity score your visual stability They're good to pay attention to but they don't predict your success so i wouldn't worry about them too much in the beginning and when you click customize here on the right hand side that's how you get into the website itself to start changing it theme libraries if you want to add other themes and then you can change themes in and out and then popular free themes it'll recommend to you different themes on shopify that lots of people are using for their brands right now but let's click into the customize tab so inside here is where you're going to want to make changes like i said my ai store builder will build you the shopify store from scratch but it's not going to know everything so there's going to be things that maybe you want to spend a little bit more time and effort cleaning up the color scheme and just making your store feel a lot more like a brand and so that's how you can come in on here and it's very simple all these elements on the left hand side outline every single part of each page so click here on the image banner if we want to change this main page all we'd have to do is click change and then we can choose an image from our library we can choose an image from online and so on and so forth and every single aspect of the website is so easily customizable in this section right here but one important thing to note is at the top right you'll have the mobile view as well 90% of customers today especially when you're advertising on social media are actually purchasing directly from their iPhone so the most important thing when you're editing your website is that it's easily readable and it functions the way that you want it to on a mobile view this is more important than the desktop view because like I said such a small amount of traffic is coming from a laptop or a desktop computer that really the only thing you need to hammer hard on in the beginning is the mobile view. And of course, over time, you can optimize your desktop and your full screen view a little bit as well. So just below that section, you're going to have the themes, blog posts, if you want to create a blog for your website as well. This is where you're going to have your different pages. So typically you'll have a contact us page, you'll have a track my order page, you'll have things like that. All you have to do to add a different page on your website is click add page. And then down here they have a couple of different templates depending on what theme that you're using. So that's how I created the contact page that's on the website now. And then navigation is where you're going to create your menu items. So the main menu of your website where it says like home, shop now, track my order, all these things. You can edit that right in here. And then same thing with the footer menu. So you can drag and drop, you can select what. what pages you want in each menu of the website. And that's pretty much the basic website customization stuff. There's also preferences where you can add your meta description for how your website shows up on Google search. You can set up your Facebook pixel, Google analytics for enhanced tracking, password protection if you want your site to not be live on the internet right now. and then a couple of other small things and then down here as well is where you can connect facebook and instagram later when it comes to advertising and that's pretty much it for the website stuff besides the settings which i want to show you guys because there's a couple really important things here as well so in the general is going to be your website your email kind of all your basic informational type stuff and then plan section is where you're choosing what plan you're currently on with shopify so for me i'm on a 12 a month pause and build because i'm not actively selling on the store but i might start it up again in a few months But what you guys want to do is you guys want to be on the basic $29 a month Shopify plan. You don't need the advanced plan right now because you're not doing crazy order volume. You just need the basic plan. And here's where you can set that up. And then same thing with billing is where you can just track your expenses that you're paying Shopify for and make sure everything's in line there. Users and permissions is how you add collaborators to your team. So if you have a virtual assistant or, you know, working on this with a business partner and things like that. And then payments is just setting up your Shopify payments so people can make purchases on your store. You can add your PayPal in here and other things as well. So we're going to have some settings for the actual checkout of your website. So when people are making a purchase with you, customer accounts, this is where we're going to set up shipping rates. It's actually very easy to do. So once you've talked to your supplier and you've figured out the shipping rates, you can just come in here and you can click new profile. And then you can start to add all the different custom rates in so people know exactly what they're getting when they're purchasing the product. Taxes and duties. don't really worry about that right now once you're crossing a certain threshold and revenue depending on where you are you should start worrying about automatic sales tax collection locations is just your address again gift cards and things like that markets so this is basically what market you're selling in you want to have any market you're selling in set up here so that people can actually purchase from the location that they're in domains if you want to connect different domains to your websites people can access it from different places that's how you do that but one of the most important things is that you set your store currency so For me, I'm in Canada. When I open up a store, my store currency is automatically set to Canadian dollars. But I want to set this to US dollars because, I mean, for me it's basically a 30% increase, so I'm making 30% more at the same price point. But also it's because most customers are shopping in USD. Pretty much 80% of the people who will be coming to your website are customers from the US. Right now the US is by far... the strongest economy for consumers and people are spending at a rapid rate so that's why you always want to target america the big five are america canada australia new zealand and the uk when it comes to ecom but like i said by far america is number one so that's why you want to set the store currency to usd and when you come here you can just manage the currencies it'll take you to markets and walk you through a couple of simple steps to get that done Alright so that's pretty much it for the basics of your store and now that you know how to use Shopify a little bit, let's talk about setting you up with your first product. So firstly you want to come over to apps here and then you want to go to the all recommended apps which is going to take you to the Shopify app store. And the easiest way right now to import any product to your store and do it in pretty much one click is to use Zendrop. So they're pretty much an all in one. uh drop shipping automation platform they do a lot of things you just go ahead and click install you can follow along with me it's going to set that up straight on your shopify store for you and then you're just going to create a simple account so they've built in everything to their platform so you can do this all in one go but if you have another product that you already know you want to sell then of course just copy the link from aliexpress and bring it over to zendrop but let's say i'm looking at products that zendrop are showing me using their winning product software and i click on this one right here if i go ahead and click add to my products it'll right away bring it over here and then if I click review and publish within pretty much one click it'll be on my Shopify store which is pretty crazy that you can do that. So now as you can see this along with my other golf training products are all posted on my website on Shopify. Now of course you can do a lot more in Zendrop and actually the biggest and in my opinion the best feature for it is that it takes care of all your orders. So when people actually purchase those earrings that I just put on my website the orders will show up here in the orders tab. and they'll be automatically fulfilled in one click where the tracking information will be sent to the customer the customer will know when they're going to receive their product zendrop is going to take care of finding and sourcing the best suppliers at the most affordable rates for you and the fastest shipping they also have 24 7 customer support that will help you at any time during this process and like i said the best part is it's hassle free it's headache free you don't have to worry about orders being shipped out or any of that because they'll take care of all of it for you and there's a lot more that you can do inside of this platform as well But that's pretty much the basics and that's how to load a product onto your site If you come over to products back in your shopify store here You can see the earrings are currently on my website and here's where I can start to edit the description So if I don't like the description that's already coming like elevate your ears with poppin titanium steel huggies Then of course I can edit and change that here. I can change the different product photos that i'm using I can change the variance. I can set the price of the product So how much do I want to sell this for right here and even see how it shows up in search engine listings at the bottom Alright, so the next thing that we have to to move on to now is some basic store improvements that you can set up in a matter of minutes. It's going to go an extremely long way for you and allow you to be a lot more successful right out of the gate. All right, so let's move on to store improvements. And yes, I know, change of shirt, change of hair. Some time went by, I had to put out some fires with a business of mine, but don't worry, I'm back now. So let's talk store improvements. Basically, the first way we can improve our store is with product descriptions. Look, the copywriting on the product page is probably one of the most important aspects of your store. so if you can find a way to shortcut getting better and better at copywriting then you're going to be golden moving forward and the easiest way to do this is to leverage ai so you've all heard of chat gpt you can go to chat gpt and you can start inputting specific prompts for your product you can upload images of your product to give it even more detail and description you can use other websites related competitors add them into your prompts on chat gpt and get ai to actually start crafting you different benefit driven headlines and copy that you can go ahead and smack on your product page now the next thing i want to talk about a little bit is third-party shopify apps so apps like wise reviews you can also use a reviews or looks are basically product review importers so you go to aliexpress you find your same product and you look for one has a ton of ratings and reviews all you have to do once you've installed this app from the shopify app store is simply copy and paste the link from aliexpress into this app and it's going to go ahead and import all those reviews onto your store. At the bottom of your product page, you're going to have a review section now, and it's going to be automatically populated with those reviews from the AliExpress listing. This saves you so much time and skips over the hurdle of having to, well, actually acquire customers that are going to write reviews because you can leverage other people's reviews on the same product, assuming you're starting off selling a product that somebody else has sold before. And with dropshipping, that is entirely the case until later on you start to build your own brand, maybe develop your own products or iterate on your existing product. Now we also have BundleBear. I like BundleBear and I also like Vitals for this, but this is how you create volume discounts and upsells. So again, another app you install on Shopify and volume discounts basically means that you're encouraging people to buy two, three, four, or even more of the same product. And in doing so, they're going to get a discount. I'm sure you guys have seen yourselves where a store has offered you 10% off when you buy two. That's essentially what's going on here. And then upsells and cross-sells and all these sorts of features are also built into these kinds of apps. And what upsells do is when somebody adds a product to their cart, it gives them a pop-up or gives them a notification. I mean, it comes in so many different forms depending on the application and how you choose to install it. But it will prompt people to add another product to their cart and check out with it. And typically, you want to be selecting products that are very complementary or act as an accessory to the existing product you're selling. So let's say I'm selling a phone, right? If somebody buys a phone, what else do they need? Well, maybe they need... earplugs to listen to music maybe they need a case maybe they need a wallet to attach the phone if they want to kind of use it as an all-in-one like i do so there's so many different products that will go great with any of your products and this isn't necessary in the beginning but if you want to increase your average order value and profitability over time and you're starting to see success with your winning product one way of doing so is immediately thinking what other products can i start to bundle in what other products can i upsell and then an app like this is actually how you go ahead and install that onto your store and make it a success. Now, another app here is SMS Abandoned Cart Recovery. There's Retrievo, there's SMS Bump. You can also do it on other email marketing platforms as well. And again, I actually don't recommend going out of your way to set up email marketing and SMS. SMS and all this stuff right off the bat because you want to get a product launch You want to get a product test as quickly as possible to see if it's even viable to get that proof of concept Make sure that you do have a winning product in your hands and you're marketing it in a correct way That's gonna allow you to start scaling up once you've reached that point and or we're covering a lot more of this in the marketing video Then is when you should start thinking about Reinvesting into email marketing and SMS marketing because that's gonna help clean up so much lost dollars from potential customers who didn't purchase from an abandoned cart, but also add even more revenue into your pocket because you can start to run promotions. You can start to offer people different products just because they bought your one product. Well, now you can hit them with a discount code and say, hey, time for you to pick up our new product. Time for you to pick up our accessory. Time for you to pick up our upsell. And seeing as you're a loyal customer to our brand, we're also going to offer you a discount code. So when you start thinking of all these things and all the different creative ways that you can get more and more revenue from. your existing clients well now all of a sudden you have a lot more room to run if you're running paid ads so if the lifetime value of one client is a hundred dollars because of all these things you have in place instead of 50 well now you can spend a lot more to actually go ahead and acquire a new client profitably so these things are important but i just wanted to briefly touch on them because i will be going deeper into them on other modules where we're focusing more on specifics but for now this is kind of the few main points that you need to know and just be aware of for later on once you're starting to see some success with your store the first type of things you should be looking at when it comes to installing new applications and doing some basic store improvements adjustments and optimizations to increase your average order value and make you more profitable This is the first product research video where I'll not only show you how to find a winning product, but I'll actually tell you the most important thing that will actually allow you to sell that winning product profitably and crush the other 99% of newbie dropshippers that aren't getting this right. So this is a store that I ran up recently using the exact method that I'm going to show you and take a look at some of the results that we've been getting because I'm genuinely not sure that there is a better video out there right now than this one that will encapsulate everything that you need to know about finding a winning product and actually taking advantage of it this time. Now before I show you the one thing that's going to change your entire perspective on finding your next winning product, you first need to understand what a winning product is because without a good product, regardless of if anybody's selling it or not, you simply won't be a success. So my criteria for winning product includes you uniqueness and or wow factor and problem solving. Now you've probably heard these two criterias before, but I can almost guarantee you, you haven't heard the last one. So lastly, and most importantly, what I'm looking for is what I like to call a multi-angle product. Now, what I mean by that is does the product you found potentially appeal to various different groups of people? Let's say I picked up this brand new DJI camera. Now I picked it up for the purpose of filming YouTube videos, just like this one, but could Could somebody else potentially buy this product for a different reason? And if you can say yes to that multiple times and perhaps even think of those different reasons, then you have yourselves a multi-angle product right off the bat. You could take this one product and you could make an ad or an organic TikTok video, marketing it towards somebody like me, an influencer, a creator, a YouTuber, somebody who shares their own journey and their values and their views online with other people. But you could also take this same product and you could market it towards businesses trying to create exceptional... content showcasing their storefront. Now, could you also take the same product and market it towards extreme sports athletes? Potentially. Maybe you have a little headpiece attachment. This camera goes right there and all of a sudden skiers, snowboarders, BMX bikers can all use this product. Now, on the flip side, a product that would not be a good example of a multi-angle product would be this case that I use to store my SD cards. Now, why would that not be a good multi-angle product? Because really the only way that you can market it is for somebody who needs to store. or their SD cards. And now I'm going to tell you exactly why this is the most important thing in finding a winning product right now. So like I was saying earlier, it's 2024. There are thousands of new dropshippers starting out every single day and everyone is selling the exact same products. So just think about it logically. Everybody is learning from the same people. They're learning how to build. They build the same websites. They're learning how to find the exact same products. And there's just so many people out there that all the products are being taken and they're being advertised with. So who's winning? Because, of course, e-commerce as a space is growing. More and more people are shopping online every single day. So surely there must be some small businesses thriving. right? Yes. The answer is yes. This time, the ones who are thriving are the ones who are creatively marketing themselves and their products. But the caveat to that is you can only do this successfully with the right product. Think about it. If you're selling an SD card holder, how are you supposed to tap into new audiences when everyone's selling the exact same product in the exact same way? But let's say I grabbed this camera again and everybody right now is selling this towards TikTokers or towards You. Well, I can come in and I can literally change the entire marketing angle and sell it towards a sub niche of BMX bikers and okay that doesn't work out well I'll do it again I'll do it with swimmers I'll do it with skydivers right and I think you get the point it's no longer let's test this winning product it's less this marketing angle and you need to find a product that gives you at least three to five different marketing angles that you can go ahead and test ideally some that have not even been tested by other people and of course some marketing angles that are already successfully doing well for others that will give you the best possible chance at succeeding on every single product test. So now that you understand that concept, let's just recap some of the other ones that I kind of brushed over. Does this product solve a specific problem for a specific customer? Is this product unique? Is it exclusive online? If you can find it at your local Walmart or Target selling cheaply, it's probably not the best idea. And does it have a 3X markup or a very high perceived value? Essentially meaning, can you turn a solid profit by selling the product? And the easiest way to think about this is go on AliExpress, find a listing for the product, see how much it costs, then go to competitors, which I'll show you how to do in a moment. See how much it costs, how much they're selling it for on average and take the difference and understand if that's a feasible profit margin. I like to say at least $20 to $30, but on lower ticket products, you want to look for at least a 3X markup. And that's generally a solid range for most dropshipping products. But of course, it's going to vary depending on what you're selling. And lastly, does the product have long-term potential? For me, when I'm starting a new brand, I like to think, where can I take this product in two years, three years, four years? Can I eventually exit on a brand like this? I'm not just thinking about the immediate short run and how high can I pump this product in the next couple weeks before ditching the store. store so now you know how to find a winning product let me just show you a couple a couple examples. Here we have an Apple CarPlay alternative, and actually a good friend of mine was selling this extremely well, multiple six figures a month. Because of its high perceived value, again, a tech product, people immediately assume that it's worth well over $100, when meanwhile they can get it on AliExpress for less than $15. It's also problem solving, so it solves the problem of people who don't have access to their phone and apps while they're driving because maybe they're in an older vehicle. Well, now they can connect this device, and it's almost as if they bought a brand new vehicle for a fraction of the price. And if you can save people time, people money, you're in a very, very good problem solving space. Next, it's not really available in person. It's not going to be sitting on the impulse rack at your local Walmart or Target. High frequency skin device. This is a device that pulses around your skin, clears up acne, tightens your skin, your jawline, all these important things. It's in the beauty space, right? So a very good space to tap into people's emotional cord when marketing it to them and really draw on their insecurities. It's problem solving, has a good markup and high value. And generally it's not available in person. I'm sure there are a few exceptions. but again, it's not like you can easily find it. And people might be caught on impulse as soon as you serve them up that ad on their social media feed, which is what's gonna drive them to make that purchase. Now it also has long-term potential. It's in a good industry, in a good space. You can think of all sorts of other products to bundle with it, cross-sells, up-sells, if you will. Next, we have one that's a puzzle race car toy. So again, it's an emotional gift product. You wanna really make people feel something before they buy it because they wanna cherish these lovely moments with their kids. It's got a solid markup. It's very, very cheap on AliExpress and it's unique and not in store. So now that we covered that, let's talk about how we're actually going to go ahead and find winning products just like those. but even better every single time. So firstly, we're going to start off with free product research methods. So what you're going to do is you're going to go over to the Facebook ad library on Google, and you're just going to start sifting through all the different results. Simple as that. The pros are it's 100% free to use. It's relatively easy to find untapped products. It has lots of flexibility in terms of what you can find. But of course, the cons are you have to manually filter all the products, which you'll be seeing on screen now. And it gets extremely time consuming doing this process over and over again. Now when it comes to using the Facebook ad library. correctly, you want to be searching keywords that other dropshippers are using, such as 50% off, free shipping, get yours now, and so on and so forth, because that'll start to serve you up products that you know people are trying to make money on and they're trying to push. in a dropshipping manner generally. Now, set filters to show you only active ads because we don't want to see past ads that were performing well. We want to see what's currently working so that we can take that, we can iterate on that, we can find a spinoff way to market it, or we can replicate the exact same thing and see if we can find success. Now, we also have the burner account method. So this works on Facebook. This also works on TikTok. I recommend doing it on TikTok. And the pros are it's 100% free, instant feedback and proof of concept, and it's very easy to use. The cons are there's no filters with this method. You get what you get and you don't get it. upset it does take a little bit of time to optimize the account but basically all you have to do for this method is show the algorithm on tick tock that you are a consumer you have purchase intent so all you have to do for this is while you're scrolling your tick tock feed every night i know you're doom scrolling a couple hours before bed anytime you come across a product whether it be an ad or an ad disguised as just a regular video you want to click on the profile you want to click on the website and you want to do what's called the ghost purchase go through the website add a product to your cart pretend you're checking out don't actually purchase though and then come back to tick tock rinse and repeat this process quite a few times times. You can also like comment and share on the posts so that TikTok will start serving you up more of those posts and then just be a little bit patient and consistent and the feed will do what it does best and start serving you up tons of product advertising. But a super important side note here is don't interact with dead ads. So ads that have like no engagements, no likes, are just performing horribly because you don't want to end up seeing stuff that isn't performing well. You want to focus on what's doing numbers, what's going viral, because that's where you want to look, obviously, when you're starting. to pick a product for yourself. Okay, now we have a paid product research method. I'll have a unique link down below because I'm actually partnering with them and they'll have an exclusive deal by the time this video is launched just for you guys. So if you wanna gain access to that as well with Minia, you can check the link in the description. But I've been using Minia using Minia for some time now. It's, in my opinion, by far the best software out there for ad spying, competitor research, and also finding winning products. There are tons of other ones, so if you don't want to take my word for it, please use whatever else you wish. But I personally found Minia is the most advanced and will get you winning products every single time. Now, the pros is it has very specific filters that you can use to find the exact winning product that you're looking for, and it has a section for competitors that you can reference against. You can see what ads are performing well for them. You can even go to their website and check it out yourself to see if you can make any optimizations to your own. own site. I also have in-depth product analysis and I have tons of other cool features, which I'll show you in just a minute. And really the only downside here is that it costs money. But like I said, it is a really, really inexpensive amount for all of the value that you're getting. But of course, if you're starting from scratch, you never made any money yet. You don't have to use this method at all. All right. So now I'm inside of my money account. So I'm just going to show you guys exactly how to do this product research for yourself. But basically when you go over to ads here at the top, it'll automatically separate between Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok. We talked quite a bit about TikTok already. So I'm just going to go over here and then you can see you can actually click on these tabs, which are automatically going to filter for you. So it'll show you kind of the best performing ads over the week. They automatically put the filters on. So like it'll have a minimum amount of pretty solid engagements, pretty solid indicator in terms of how viral the video is going in terms of likes, shares, comments, all that kind of thing. This will show you the best of the entire month, the best of the entire season, recent products that are just starting to trend or just starting to pick up and keep for winners of 2023. In the past, I used to filter things by myself, which you can do, but nowadays they give you so many options. So you can just click on any of these and just start scrolling, scrolling, scrolling until you find something that you like. Now over here in the shops tab, It's basically just going to show you all the different stores that are doing well right now. And again, you can filter based on the date, the engagement score, the engagement growth, e-commerce platforms. This is where you'd choose Shopify, the currency. Maybe you're trying to drop ship from a different country and you want to focus on a niche market that speaks a certain language or whatever it may be. So that's where all the filtering stuff is. And then again, they have their pre-selected filters here. So let's go over to TikTok experts. And then as you can see, these are all brands that are crushing it on TikTok right now. This one's pretty interesting. So I'm just going to open this right now. And as you can see, it's going to take you to this page you exactly how much they're selling the product for it's going to show you the other products on their store it's going to show you the different type of ads they're running and what platforms they're running it on they'll take you straight to their tick tock ads with the amount of views the amount of engagements it's actually quite crazy what they've done here literally give you full insight into what other people are doing to find success and as a beginner you just want to replicate and then like i said test different marketing angles that the person isn't already testing because either you're going to find a success in replicating or you're going to find success in a different marketing angle and you're going to crush all these people who are currently selling the product because you can't came in on it with a completely new marketing angle. I remember I went to sell this one product one time. Have you seen the flame humidifier? It's supposed to go next to your bed. I tried selling it and I never really found any success, but I saw a couple other people were selling it quite well. So I kept trying. I kept trying. I just couldn't do it. And then a couple months later, I saw somebody blowing up like $500,000 in a month selling this product. So crazy, crazy numbers for the same product that I tried selling. So I was pissed. It's like, what happened here? How's this person just walking in and making all this money? And all they did was they tweaked the marketing angle. So instead of saying... this is a diffuser that's going to make your room smell good and you're going to have a good sleep they said this is a diffuser that is perfect for long distance relationships you fill it up with your significant other's perfume and that way your room will always smell exactly like them when you go to bed and it showed happy couples using the product and loving it and facetime each other and all this kind of cute little right so that example right there is truly when i realized that there's a big shift in drop shipping right now it's a shift away from just rapidly testing products hoping for that golden ticket and a shift more towards doubling down on marketing your product test is not over over until you've tested at least a few different marketing angles. And again, specific products, you might have 10 different marketing angles to test. And if you believe in the product, don't stop until you find a winning marketing angle, focus a little bit less on all the specifics and double down on how you can come up with creative marketing that is different from other people testing different marketing angles and so on and so forth. Also make sure you take full advantage of the links in description. The first one will literally be my software that'll build you a dropshipping store in less than 10 minutes. percent free so while you're down there taking advantage of that so now that you have the tools that you need to find the best winning product right now in 2024 i'm gonna make sure that you don't end up like the other 99 of dropshippers and then blame the business model for being too saturated because i'm literally going to deliver you a framework that you've never heard of before and that with just a few simple tweaks and steps you'll be doing things entirely different than all your competitors so first of all you have to understand what tiktok organic is and to put simply it's posting content on TikTok on a branded page about your product to drive traffic to your website and the best thing about this method of course is that it's a hundred percent free and it'll give you that proof of concept and validation before you have to go and start spending money on paid ads not to mention there are many brands that didn't even get into paid ads they ran such successful or marketing campaigns on TikTok and they started to expand them out with larger affiliate networks and systems of many different creators creating content on TikTok entirely organically. Now the goal of this kind of content is to show off your content in a way that disguises the fact that you're advertising and you're blending in with everybody else who's just posting content on TikTok. Now the steps of course is number one finding your product and then once you've found the product all you have to do is go ahead and order that product to your house and boom you can start single-handedly creating content and posting it on tiktok there's also the tiktok burner method which basically means that you set up another account on tiktok and you start scrolling until you find drop shipping ads or anything that's selling or promoting any sorts of products and then all you have to do is go to their page watch some videos go to the website and do a ghost purchase which basically means you want to add the product to your cart you want to go through the checkout process but don't actually pay for it of course this will categorize you to the tiktok pixel and algorithm as somebody with purchased intent so they can keep serving serving you up so many more TikTok ads centered around dropshipping products on your For You page, in which, of course, you can just keep scrolling until you find ones that are going absolutely viral and you want to take that product and use it on your own store. Now, other key things to know here is that you'll unlock the ability to put your website in your bio directly on TikTok at a thousand followers. In the meantime, you can connect your TikTok with another social media platform like Instagram and go ahead and put the link in the bio there instead. Now, one of the most important key aspects here is to create your ideal customer persona and then create content that is specifically... catered to them. Now this is really one of those things that's going to set you apart from everyone else because everyone else takes a winning product and they start making ads around what that product is intended to do. Now this is a great place to start, don't get me wrong, but you need to be thinking outside of the box because guess what? Everybody else is taking that exact same product and thinking the exact same thing, which means that you are competing in an oversaturated market for the same product at the same angle. A perfect example of this is the past two Christmases, I sold a product that was a golf swing trainer and one would think upon finding the winning product that the intended purpose of somebody purchasing the product is to improve their golf swing. But what I found after a couple days of testing the product and getting mediocre results is that all the people buying it were actually females, which is very strange because our ideal target market was the avid golf player who is typically a male. But upon further investigation, we realized that these females were buying the product ahead of Christmas time as a gift for their husbands, their sons, their partners, their fathers, and so on and so forth. And all of a sudden, we had a new marketing angle completely on untapped that nobody else even thought of who is currently selling this product. And so although there are some other bigger players who are doing bigger numbers with this product, we came in with a fresh angle and we started to be extremely profitable in our advertising campaigns and also in our organic videos as well. So in order to actually get all this started, of course, you need to find a winning product. Now, one of the best tools I'm using right now to find products is called Winning Hunter. And the reason for this is it shows you Facebook ads, TikTok ads. It'll actually bring up the TikTok creative center with the best performing TikToks right now. So organic also has a sales tracker. So essentially these couple features here allow you to easily filter through all the different high performing ads right now. And of course you can set specific amounts of engagement. So a certain amount of likes, comments, and shares, which ideally leads to a more viral video. You can also filter by country. And the last most important thing is to filter in a targeted date range. I usually like to look at products that are going viral within the last 30 days. Then once you have all your products here, you simply just scroll, you can watch through the videos, you can go straight to their website and you can check out more information on the product by clicking on this. this right here. And then, like I said, the sales tracker is a super key feature as well, which actually allows you to, in real time, track sales data and see the exact revenue figures that many different stores using Shopify are currently doing. This is super important because once you've found a brand selling a product that you want to sell, you can gain insight into exactly how much they're selling per day. You can look at their Facebook ads or their TikTok ads, all using this one platform, and get a holistic picture into if you think this product is going to be a winner or not. So if you guys want to use Winning Hunter as well, I'll have a link down below in the description. Just... briefly want to touch on what type of products should you post because when it comes to TikTok organic you need a good product that's going to practically sell itself and this is hugely important and like I said before finding a product that has multiple different marketing angles or customer personas that perhaps other dropshippers have not even thought about yet is a potential goldmine even if that product has been around and been selling for quite some time. Generally some other criteria to look out for is does the product have some kind of wow factor to it? Is it super unique? Do something cool? Have scroll stopping visuals that's going to catch people's attention in a matter of seconds. seconds and also does this product solve a particular pain point or a problem for a specific customer persona then it's also good if the product has broad market appeal as in can it be sold to male and female can be sold to people of all ages etc this product is simple enough to explain what it does in 10 seconds without a voiceover and i think that's super important as well because generally complex products might not be the best sell on tick tock Especially if they're extremely expensive and you need to go over features and technicalities. Because remember, especially with organic TikTok, you're really trying to catch people on impulse. You're trying to make them feel something, have some kind of emotional connection. really be moved almost out of their seat and to purchase this instantly within just a few seconds of seeing it on the feed and this is why it's so important that the product practically sells itself like these room lamps that always do so well you set them up in your room and they do all kinds of crazy displays that's something that can be communicated with a potential customer in less than three seconds and lastly of course can you actually create content with that product for example i'm a 23 year old male it doesn't really make sense for me to be selling a female bra unless i have a girlfriend that wants to do the ads for me or decided to spend some money and work with ugc creators or influencers to create this kind of content so some general good practices when it comes to posting this content is being super consistent ideally you want to batch film enough content in one session so that you can post one to three times per day over the course of an entire week or two that way you're not spending your whole week on filming video ads also you should be using trending sounds so copying trending videos that others have created or seeing how you can innovate on a current trend going around on tick tock you also want to search your product and niche on tick tock get familiar with all the trends and see exactly what's working well for other people. Potentially you can apply that with your own marketing angle or your own twist and go completely viral as well. You want to create engaging high-paced content. Ideally in the first few seconds you want to have many jump cuts showing what your product is as opposed to a very boring video of me simply talking about this water bottle right here. Test everything. So text only, voiceovers, AI voice, playoff trends and then once you find a viral formula you can simply recreate it. Now if you also happen to have one video go extremely viral you can start replying. to pinned comments and making new videos and those videos are automatically going to retarget a lot of the original viewers who watched that video that blew up now when it comes to pinning posts on your profile as well you generally want to pin posts that have the most purchase intent so let's say i make five different videos of this water bottle trying to make it go viral and then i make one video that's a bit more of an explainer and a bit more salesy i'll probably want to pin that one because once somebody comes from another viral video clicks on your page and then watches your pin video that might just push them over the edge to go on your website and actually purchase another thing you can play around with is having engaging or controversial texts in the descriptions use three to five hashtags relevant to your niche and generally a few concepts that i've seen working very well lately is the pov or point of view and also the unboxings or tutorials on how to use something here's a couple of other ways that you can go about finding video ideas i've been liking chat gpt lately you can get more more advanced with what you ask especially with the new chat gpt 4-0 you can start off with a basic prompt like give me 10 unique and creative tick tock videos that i could make about this product link link the product, and then you can further niche it down by actually asking you to deliver you ad creatives based on a customer persona or particular marketing angle that you're really trying to tap into. Now, when it comes to actually editing your content, honestly, the TikTok in-app editor is all you need. You can trim your clips, you can add text, you can add an AI voice, you can play around with the cuts. Ultimately, you want your content to be native. Remember how I was saying earlier that it basically should be an ad in disguise? Well, exactly. You don't want to let people know that you're running an advertisement. You want to show them a genuinely cool video that's going to capture their attention and inevitably lead to them wanting to make that purchase without directly saying buy my product right now because I'm making money off of it and if you prefer to have a separate video editor or something slightly more powerful you can opt for CapCut which is a free and easy download on the Apple App Store next thing you want to do is you want to create your content schedule so like I said one to two days a week dedicate a couple hours at least three hours of time to brainstorming filming and editing dedicate one day just to producing video ideas so maybe your hooks your clips your storyline etc now if you're like me and you want to work fast and you think the quality is gonna up to par. You can probably get all this done in one day or one session. Of course, you don't want to rush it and life gets in the way, but that's why it's super important to batch trim as much content as you can. So you always have content ready to go and you're never going to miss a day when it comes to posting. Because in the beginning with TikTok, consistency is everything and it might take you 10 or 30 or even 50 videos to find exactly what's going to work for you. But don't get discouraged because I think people give up on products way too early without testing various different marketing angles, tapping into different customer personas. and just building the muscle and building the skill at becoming creative and creating high engaging good videos that are going to actually convert and do well on TikTok. Remember, social media is a skill and it's not learned overnight. Yes, somebody like myself who's been doing YouTube, Instagram, TikTok for many, many years will have the edge and will be able to come in and know exactly what's going to work and likely make a successful video in just a few tries. Don't worry, eventually you'll get there too. Just don't give up on your product too early because remember, you are building the skill and you are getting better with each video. Now, next up, I want to go over a case study of a couple of accounts. that have made some viral videos and made a crazy amount of money with this. The first product here is called the... freeze display by get excel pad on tiktok so they found a winning formula and stuck with it all they did was they took different objects and tried it inside of the frame every single object caught people's attention in their eye within the first couple seconds of the video and once they found this proven formula all they did was replicate it over and over again with as many different cool and unique objects they could find so again this encompasses pretty much everything that i talked about it has an organic look and feel to the videos as if anybody could simply have shot them on their iphone and it showcased the product to different audiences So they tested with rock collectors, mini car collectors, and people who are pretty much into any kind of interest and hobby. And then of course, they doubled down on the most passionate niches and hobbies that they found working the best. And lastly, and most importantly, they consistently posted multiple videos per day. And here's another one, the Celestial Water Lamp, and their TikTok handle is celestialwater.lamp. They had one mega viral video, and they repurposed the content from that viral video to make infinitely more videos, which is very smart. Again, doubling down on what's working, and if you have a proven concept, you have a video that's going viral think of all the different ways that you can start recreating it they made very aesthetically pleasing content again that has that wow factor that uniqueness to it right off the bat and they consistently upload it so take everything that's in this video find your strategy but the most important thing is that you start creating content because like i said it is a muscle it is a skill i'm not going to sit here and tell you you're going to be a millionaire overnight it's going to take time you're going to get frustrated but i promise you there's a light at the end of the tunnel if you keep grinding you'll eventually figure this social media stuff out just like I did and thousands of other people who are making tons of money from social media right now without spending a dime on paid ads. This is the part of dropshipping that 90% of beginners get overwhelmed with because this is the part where you're actually going to have to start spending some money. But spending money is good. That means that you're potentially going to make a lot more. or at least that's the goal. So that's why I made this video to get you out of the scarcity mindset and relieve your fear that running ads is some difficult and complex task reserved only for the biggest corporations. The truth is running ads and advertising your store should actually be the easiest part as long as you follow the simple new framework that I've been using to get results like this. And secondly, I'm making this video to give you guys a skill that can quite possibly change your life in a matter of. 15 minutes. Knowing the ins and outs of running an advertising campaign on social media can allow you to get hired by people effortlessly who still believe that running social media campaigns is the most difficult and complex part of their business. But seriously, and most importantly, you can start to make insane amounts of money with your own e-commerce business. So actually spending money on TikTok ads in order to see a return. So of course, you know, there's other social medias you can advertise on right now as well. But why did I choose TikTok for this video? Well, right now, TikTok ads is the hottest place to be launched. launching a new ad campaign with over 136 million active users on TikTok in the US alone. And in a survey done by TikTok, they found that 37% of active users on the platform have made a purchase. That is over 50 million active buyers in the US alone. Not to mention that the average user opens the app 19 times daily. 70% of the users are between the ages of 18 and 34. And studies show that 68% of Gen Z users are willing to make a purchase through the app. app. This is only slightly behind Instagram, which is at 71%, but Instagram has been around for many years and established dominance as a social media platform. The fact that TikTok has came in in a matter of a couple of years and pretty much matched that number is crazy. Competitive advantage right now to advertising on TikTok as opposed to let's say Instagram or another social media platform is that because it's relatively new, it still has cheaper CPMs, which is cost per mil or essentially how much money you're spending per every thousand impressions that your video ad gets out to. And it's substantially lower. lower than most other social media platforms at the current moment. It also has one of the most advanced video targeting algorithms, which basically means that the TikTok pixel will serve up your ideal customer more often than not with the ad that you're running. They also generally allow you to scale extremely fast, pump the budget and aggressively make a ton of money with your brand new store. Not to mention it has a super easy and simple setup process. So now let's dive into your TikTok ads setup. So first and foremost, you need a TikTok ads account. And I'm actually partnered with TikTok and right now they're giving you you guys a crazy deal if you spend up to 1200 they'll double it and deliver up to 2400 usd in ad credits directly to your account it's a pretty wild deal and i'll have more information on it down below in the description as well as the link to take full advantage of it so you guys can start basically getting paid to test products so once you set that up the next thing you want to do is connect your business manager to the shopify simply log into your account download the tick tock app from the app store and click connect now like i said i've also simultaneously posted full guides to every single aspect of e-com and that'll all be down below in the description. But I just wanna briefly go over the products because this is so important when it comes to advertising on TikTok. So for TikTok, like we talked about before, the audience is very heavily skewed towards Gen Z. You have young people, trendy people, and actually a majority female demographic. Not saying that you need to sell exclusively female products, but think twice if you're selling an exclusive male product on TikTok. The ideal price point is about 30 to $50 and that's not including upsells. But generally you wanna retain minimum profit margin of $20. And you don't want to look at super high ticket products on TikTok because the whole point of the platform is to catch a young person on impulse, serve them up an emotional video or something that really taps in with them. And they'll be pushed over that line to go to your website and purchase that product without even thinking. Generally, the crazier or the more out there and wow the product is, the better it'll be for TikTok. People's attention spans on TikTok are so short, they're always scrolling for their next dopamine hit. And if they land across something that catches that attention and sells it within the the first couple seconds, then you're much more likely to get a higher conversion rate and get people over the line. For example, the moon lamp on the left is such a good product because within the first couple seconds or the first three seconds, the scroll stopper of the TikTok video, you can immediately tell what the product does. And it has that wow factor because it's lit up the room and it's done some cool displays. And these type of products always do exceptionally well. Now, the reason why things like the neon carrot toy knife would be a bad product is because it probably takes some explaining to actually show people how this is solving a problem or serving a purpose for somebody in that ideal customer persona. And on TikTok, like I said, you just don't have enough time to communicate that. It's not going to catch people like that, play on their insecurities, or have any kind of emotional appeal when they simply see this carrot toy knife. And let's talk about how you should be making your ad creatives that you're running. So your TikTok ad creative will determine the success of your product. Don't cheap out on your creatives. If you want to spend money to have UGC creators or influencers create them, you want to build the system, don't be afraid to spend money there. But I highly recommend you build the muscle and you build the skill of creating video ads that will convert on your own first. So whether that's ordering the product, in or ripping creatives online, which we'll talk a little bit more about later on, because it can actually be a very effective strategy. This is hands down the most important part of e-comm because of this equation, great product plus bad creative equals no sales. But what does bad product plus great creative equal? And it actually can still equal sales because if you take a bad product and you're able to effectively market it to a certain customer persona, then you will make sales. Look, anyone out there can buy anything. And if you don't believe that, then you're thinking way too narrow minded just because you don't have. the same interests and preferences in buying a product doesn't mean somebody else wouldn't there's over 8 billion people on earth now and it'd be pretty crazy to think that all these people are thinking exactly the same way that you are so get out of your own personal bias as well when choosing a product to sell on tick tock now perhaps one of the most important points here is that tick tock itself says make tick tocks not ads and what this basically means is keep the creatives as native to the platform as possible make it look as if you're just a single creator shooting the video on an iphone instead of going out out and spending thousands of dollars on a high production advertisement. And the basics of creating a TikTok ad is that it's a vertical video, ideally shot on an iPhone this way, not this way. It's as native looking to TikTok as possible, which basically means if you scroll your TikTok feed, does it look like it blends in or does it jump out to you straight away that it's an ad? You don't want the latter. You want to keep the videos raw and authentic, which can lead to better CPMs and lower CPCs over time. Use different trending sounds and text overlays. This keeps people engaged, reading, listening, and viewing to fully stimulate as many touch points as possible. You can also benefit greatly from having a real person in your content. This is called user generated content because regular everyday people like me and you can shoot this for a brand or we can hire someone else to do it. And typically you'll have a call to action at the beginning or the end of the video or somewhere strategically in between. And the call to action will usually be some form of inviting people to your bio to check you out further without exactly saying, click the link in my bio to shop now because TikTok obviously wouldn't want people leaving the platform and they might not want to give you the best CPMs on a video like that. Some more ad creative styles here is showcasing unique features of the product, following an existing trend or innovating on a trend that's currently out there. Fast jump cut style content, changing clips every couple seconds to stimulate people and keep the attention. The hashtag TikTok made me buy it style is working really well right now, as well as unboxings, third party testimonials. and tutorials. Now if you want even more inspiration for your TikTok ads, of course, Minea, the paid product research tool software, has a great option right there. But also the TikTok Creative Center is a free resource provided by TikTok that highlights the best ads currently running on their platform. And it's a great place to start in terms of looking for inspiration for your own creatives without having to spend any money as well. Now let's briefly talk about what not to do. You don't want to have Facebook ad style creatives. Remember, TikTok's a different platform that focuses heavily on video content and simply using a standard platform to create static image or gif probably won't take you very far because it'll immediately stand out on the platform as an ad. And you also don't want to have high production, expensive budget videos because these simply look like they're out of place. They look like a big company is paying to advertise right in front of your face when people are on TikTok to watch more raw and authentic content. You also don't want to have a lot of blank or black space at the top or bottom of the video because it's just simply less engaging. And when people see it, it might stand out enough and they'll realize that it's an ad pretty much right away. So always do vertical nine by six. 16 and avoid big and obvious call outs, right? So I talked about this briefly before, but you don't want to have huge banners that's saying sale 50% off, go to the website shop now, because again, that's just going to scream to people that it's an ad and it's not going to blend in with the rest of the content on TikTok. The best thing is for you to make a video ad creative that's so good that it not only performs well on the ad platform, but it also goes completely viral. Now, another great way to get your ads made is to rip creatives. Now, essentially, this is a great method because it's free, meaning you don't have to pay. pay anyone or you don't have to spend your own time, energy, effort, and resources on creating the videos, but also it's super fast and effective, which allows you to test many, many products. In some cases, even multiple products in a single day, if you're fully locked in and doing this all day. Now, when I say rip content, I basically mean use existing clips that already exist on the internet of that product. Now, some key things here that you don't want to do is you don't want to take somebody's exact ad creative and run it because one, TikTok can easily detect that you're running a duplicate of an ad that's already out there. And that's Thus, they'll give you extremely high CPMs or you'll potentially even get disabled. And of course, you want to be careful that that person doesn't turn around and sue you for using their intellectual property and creative assets for your brand or your personal gain. So the idea here is take multiple clips from all over the internet and mash them together into one ad for your product. So to start, you want to scrape TikTok to find all the content of your product. So you go to snap tick.com to remove the watermarks, and then you go to CapCut to actually create and put the video together. Now, once you have at least three or. five creatives you're ready for a product launch or test but it's super important that you realize that this is for an effective cheap and fast product test this is not a healthy or proper way to scale a brand because of the reasons aforementioned and that you'll likely eventually get shut down or somebody will come after you, especially if you're doing big numbers and you're leveraging other people's content. Now, another key step towards the end of this process, especially if your video is relying on a lot of content out there from one source, you need to make sure you're changing the metadata because otherwise TikTok will recognize that this video has been posted before in some form or way, and they might drastically increase your CPMs, making it much more expensive for you to run ads. So for this step, you want to transfer over to computer, upload your edited creative to cloudconvert.com, convert from movie to MP4 if you edit it on the iPhone, and then simply change the metadata. So you want to change the audio bitrate from 128 to 126 and change the rate to 44100 hertz. This makes your video look completely different to TikTok without changing how your video looks. books or sounds. The TikTok algorithm simply isn't going to recognize it based on the metadata and thus giving you a better chance of having cheaper CPMs. Now, most importantly, let's talk about the product testing strategy. So testing your product means spending the least amount of money possible to see if there's any viability in the product or if you're actually going to start having some success and eventually see profitability on your new dropshipping store. Now, with TikTok, it's pretty easy to see if a product has potential after even a day of running ads and only spending around $100. Another key note here is to use a new ad account for each each product you test don't reuse ad accounts as that'll confuse the platform and confuse all of your data and you'll likely have a much more difficult product launch but basically pause this part take a screenshot if you need to but this is the testing strategy campaign structure so you want to optimize your campaign for conversions and you want to create a cbo or campaign budget optimization want to set a hundred dollar daily budget for testing and choose tiktok placement only you want to turn off any comments or video downloads and i recommend that you only advertise in the u.s right now select 18 plus for your age range range and turn your smart creative optimization on. Pump in your three to five video ad creatives and duplicate the ad set two times. All this said and done, you should be left with one CBO campaign with three ad sets inside of it. And lastly, wait until your entire $100 budget has been spent before making any changes moving forward. Now, once you're analyzing results, here are the most important things that you need to focus on. So firstly, it's essential that you calculate your break-even CPA or cost per acquisition. So let's say the selling price of your product is $100. The product cost plus shipping. shipping. So how much you're paying all said and done for the product is $60. That means you have a gross profit of $40. And that gross profit number also becomes your breakeven CPA or cost per acquisition, because that is the maximum amount of money that you can spend to acquire a new customer for it to actually be at breakeven or profitable for you. Now, first day of testing with a new product on TikTok, ideally, we're looking to be breakeven or hopefully profitable. But even being breakeven is a win because over time, I'm sure you can take it into profits by testing different ad. creatives further optimizing your website and checkout process and making micro adjustments until you can start seeing yourself in the green. So other important metrics here is your CPC or your cost per click. So this is essentially how much it costs to get someone onto your website and shows us how sustainable your ads are at scale. It's derived from your CPM or your cost per mil and your CTR, click through rate. A good benchmark is generally 0.7 or less. Now CPM cost per a thousand impressions. It's decided by TikTok's algorithm based off of the niche, the competition and the quality of your ad. advertisement. Generally, a competitive niche will have higher CPMs and a bad creative can also lead to higher CPMs. A good benchmark here is $10 or less. The lower, the better because the traffic is coming in cheaper, which will likely lead to more conversions for the same amount of money spent. And lastly, click-through rate, which basically shows the percentage of people that see your ad and then go ahead and click onto your website. This shows the effectiveness of your advertisement in selling a product or at least pushing people over to that next step of checking out your website. Now, one thing to note is generally, if the CPMs are... a lot lower and they're giving you a lot cheaper traffic, the CTR might be a little bit less because the traffic likely isn't as quality or as targeted. And if the CPMs are super high, you can likely expect a slightly higher CTR because chances are you're spending a lot more money for those individually targeted customers in likely a higher or more competitive niche. A good benchmark across the board though on TikTok is 1% or more. So analyzing your metrics will take time and it's the most difficult part of media buying. So I do recommend you take a screenshot of these benchmarks. benchmarks and come back to it over time by understanding these general benchmarks and seeing results for yourself you get a better idea and eventually it'll become like second nature to you to decide if your product is a winner or not after a new test anyways guys it's pretty much everything you need to know when starting out as a brand new advertiser on TikTok again make sure you take advantage of the insane deal right now which they're practically paying for you to test products so click that link down below in the description so with that thank you guys so much for watching
