The meeting covered a detailed overview of Basecamp's "To-Do" tool including list creation, assigning tasks, notifications, grouping, views, recurring tasks, and templates.
Practical tips and features for efficiently organizing and managing project tasks in Basecamp were demonstrated and explained.
No decisions were made or action items assigned; the session was focused on tool training.

Overview of Basecamp To-Do Tool
Basecamp allows tasks to be organized into "to-do" lists with names, details, links, and attachments.
Individual "to-do" items can be assigned to people, given deadlines, and include additional notes.
Tasks with deadlines appear on the assigned person's schedule and trigger notifications ahead of the due date and at 9:00 AM on the due date if incomplete.
Tasks can be assigned to multiple people, but only need to be checked off once. Individual tracking requires separate tasks.
Organizing and Managing To-Dos
It is recommended to perform a "brain dump" of all tasks to start and refine details later as needed.
Multiple "to-do" lists can be created and tasks can be reordered or moved between lists with drag-and-drop.
Tasks can be grouped into sub-lists ("to-do groups") by priority, department, or status using color coding, and can be rearranged easily.
The tool provides visual progress tracking with item counts and pie charts at both the list and project levels.
Working with To-Dos
Basecamp keeps all communications related to a "to-do" within that item, supporting comments, mentions, attachments, and activity logs.
Bulk assignment of tasks to individuals can be performed using multi-select.
Users can subscribe to be notified when tasks are added to lists, regardless of assignment.
Advanced Features
Recurring tasks can be set up with customizable repeat options; completed recurring tasks are automatically refreshed for the next cycle.
To-do list templates can be created and reused for repetitive workflows, such as publishing content or onboarding.
Templates are editable, and updated templates impact only future lists created from them.
