assalamu alaikum everyone i hope you guys are well inshallah i feel like the explanation of the video isn't really necessary because it's quite self-explanatory so i'm going to be talking about finding motivation if you are a housewife because obviously housewives don't have the motivation from money they don't really get money for doing what they do but they have to keep motivated and encourage themselves to continue doing the same tasks every single day um just by reminding themselves of the pleasure of Allah and the reward that they are getting for you know feeding their family members so yeah this is a little reminder to not be disheartened and remember that Allah will reward you for being the best wife at home okay let's start with the recipe for today it is a curry pakora recipe which is basically one of the traditional recipes of Pakistan and one of the yummiest ones a lot of people like it i use the chopper to chop the onion today which the chopper is actually linked in the description box if you want it it's just so much easier than doing it with a knife for me i feel like it does the job so much quicker and you basically want a quarter of a cup of oil add your onions to it and let them go soggy once they do then you add your spices we've used red chili flakes red chili coriander and some salt you want to use these to your taste but these we've used one teaspoon of each and that is what we're going to be adding to the onion once it is slightly soggy which it is now at this stage we've added two tablespoons of garlic and ginger so basically just to the onion first and once that become that gets cooked a little bit just 30 seconds then you add your tomatoes and you want your tomatoes and one chili by the way you want that to go soft so you keep mixing it wait for it to go soft a little bit once it does add your spices and then you just let it all cook together in the meantime whilst that's happening you can take your yogurt you're going to use three quarters of this bucket and then add besan uh one quarter to that yogurt three quarters of the yogurt one quarter of the basin mix it all together add water and make lassi or like that paste which you're going to be adding to this now the you can see that oil has separated and basically the masala is ready you're then going to add the paste that you made using yogurt and besan add one full jug of water so that's like three three to four glasses of water and then this is the bit you have to mix it for 10 minutes until it starts cooking and in the meantime i'm doing around four of tea and egg for my brother and once it comes to a boil then you can stop mixing it it took 10 minutes for me leave it on the low heat then it will take around two hours for it to actually go down and become thicker we because it is curry pakora so for pakoras we need besan potatoes spices of your choice chilies coriander and also some spinach and basically mix it all together add some water to this and then you just fry your pakoras as you would usually and in this this is basically or basically adding further spices to your curry we've got kasoori methi some zeera and oil you're gonna cook that um on the side and also one green chili as you can see um you're gonna cook that on the side and once it is slightly cooked add mint to it as well and once it is all mixed together and you know cooked together then it is time to add it to your curry once the curry had an hour to cook that is when we added it now i'm just basically my mom is just starting with pakoras on the other side and these will take around 10 to 15 minutes as well to make so once you've done those you are then ready to add these to your curry and that is the final step before you can head off with the curry it takes around three hours to make full curry which is very long in comparison to some of the other dishes that were made but you can do other tasks in between here i'm just really excited to do the final step and add my pakoras to the curry and end it with this because at this point i had had enough of the curry um so yeah i'm just adding that and being really excited about tasting it you will love this if you haven't tried it already just sitting down to after praying modrib and doing my consultation and i thought Whilst I'm getting ready, I'll just chat to you because I'm sure from what I remember, I haven't had time to talk to you the whole day. We've had a productive day though. It was a busy and productive day, which is how we like it. Grab my mirror.
I think you all know by now because I've talked about it so much. My anniversary. next week which i am so excited about i don't know i'm like the kind of person who doesn't go big like very big but these events really excite me like even if i'm going to like a wedding or something i am always so excited to attend events or be part of these gatherings especially when it comes to like my really close people so that's my husband my siblings or my like my mom and my dad my in-laws i remember when i was in pakistan you i would use every opportunity to make make a surprise take place or anything that i possibly could i don't know i just love surprises and love giving surprises i think more than receiving surprises it just makes me really happy for some reason so yeah because my anniversary is coming i am so excited to enjoy the day alhamdulillah like i just can't stop thinking about it i think i mentioned it to yasi like three times a day that oh two days left now four days left now i'm that girl who does that so yeah really excited about that the topic that i wanted to talk about is my hijab on my wedding a lot of you girls have asked you know on instagram if i wanted to ever or if i ever thought about taking my hijab off for the wedding because you know asian brides can't you can't be that look if you have your hair out and you are looking like an asian bride um bro that is the nicest and the prettiest bride you can ever be obviously because we've always seen it with the hair out and hair styled in a really nice way so that is the that is the way we see it to be beautiful of course that question is valid because you'd want to know like if i ever thought about taking it off for my wedding or if i ever thought about like you know just not posting pictures and taking it off for the family if i'm honest with you i love wearing my hijab i think hijab makes me feel prettier than not wearing my hijab i've never loved my hair as much as i've loved hijab and if i'm honest with you this was um this was one of my conditions or one of my first things that i mentioned to yasser that um you know if you were to get married i would be wearing my hijab on my wedding because i know and i'd heard that a lot of Pakistani men or people a lot of men who are you know raised in Pakistan they don't see they don't understand hijab so of course like I was worried that for me hijab is everything and I can't even imagine not wearing it and it's just it's just something that completes me if I'm honest with you so the thought of me not wearing it it was scarier than wanting to not wear it I never saw myself as a bride or I never imagined myself as a bride who would not be wearing a hijab I always wanted to so for me hijab is like part of my identity it kind of completes me and knowing it's just I have never like I don't even remember the last time I intentionally took my hijab off even in women-only gatherings I don't take my hijab off because I'm so scared um or just nervous that you know there are people with phones and they're going to record me and if they record me then you never know that these phones they go everywhere you don't know if their dad watches it or their brother watches at some point you know it's my responsibility to make sure that i'm like kind of looking after my modesty it's not their their responsibility on my behalf so even in like women-only gatherings i don't feel comfortable like not taking my hijab off and i never do it trust me i didn't even think once that oh i wish i could be a ride like them Never. Like that just never crossed my mind and I don't find beauty in that for myself. I like, I admire other people.
Like if I see somebody, you know, who looks amazing and they're not wearing a hijab, I'll be like, yeah, you look nice. But for me, I don't think there is beauty in it. I don't at least find myself beautiful. There's my yes to answer your difficult question. No, I don't.
I don't think I ever. thought about taking my hijab off or I ever wanted to take my hijab off but I understand why some people might you know feel the other way because if you think about it if you live in a society where they've never seen a bride with a hijab on and you're you're like suggesting that I would like to wear a hijab or you're you're the first one who's wearing a hijab if I'm honest with you I don't think I've ever seen anybody wear a hijab in my own family as well you like in my immediate family so technically i think i was quite a rare situation So personally I would say that although it was quite a rare situation but I was very vocal about it from the very start like the very very start I just told everyone I am keeping my hijab on. Nobody had an option to think otherwise or to imagine me in a non-hijabi outfit and you obviously know that I got my dupatta lined and everything and that was like I was very vocal about that as well I was like I would like to get it lined. i don't want my hair to be showing from underneath because obviously i was planning on wearing a moidabutta on my head rather than like wearing a hijab so yeah that was uh that was my situation it's easy for me if i'm honest with you and um i just don't see hijab as separate for me i see it as part of me so it's just not something that came to my imaginations even once so yeah that was that was uh my answer i also think that i'm going to call this the end of the video i've lost my blusher by the way i can't find it so i need to find that i think it's gone inside the bed but i need to call this an end of the video um i hope you're enjoying the vlogs i cannot believe this is already day nine of the vlogs uh there is something big that is happening tomorrow so you will see that in tomorrow's video i will need lots and lots of duos for that your special duos i'll definitely keep you in mind care of yourself look after yourself just remember The Muslim Ummah in your prayers. Allah.
