what about summary jury trial say a bit more about that yes i think you may find summary jury trial in the united states and it's similar to case appraisal in a way except that you've got a jury so it's basically when um parties want to get a sense of what a jury is likely uh to just to say or a decision that a jury is likely to make uh in relation to a particular case so it's like having a mock jury okay um and uh and the jurors then form an opinion uh and uh and uh and reach a decision on the outcome and that's been fed back it's not binding um it's fed back to uh to the parties and that again if you're like that's a banner or all their alternative this is probably what you know there's a good chance that this is what's going to happen if it goes to a jury trial um and they can use this as a basis for their negotiation so it has a similar sort of it's a similar mechanism if you like to the case appraisal
