foreign you may not realize it but your parents do so much for you after all they brought you into this world and that is why it is so important to respect them today we'll be talking about why this is so important so first what is respect respect is all about how you feel about another person when you respect someone you want to be nice to the mate because they were nice to you for someone to treat you with respect you must first show them respect and that means following the Golden Rule the golden rule is treat others the way you want to be treated to show respect you shouldn't shout at someone you also shouldn't talk when someone else is speaking and you should listen to what the other person has to say just like you're all listening to what I have to say so what about your parents the first reason why it's so important to respect your appearance is that as kids you may not realize that your parents do so much to kill you well they send you to school to get an education they work to put food on the table they provide you with the roof over your head and a bead to sleep in they raise you and they shape you second reason why it's so important to respect the appearance is that it is part of our culture in our Pacific culture the family is at the center of our way of life family is our home and provides us with our identities and the islands children are brought up from an early age to show respect to the people who came before us to elders and importantly to our parents it's not only cultural but it's also a part of the Christian belief Exodus chapter 20 verse 12 says honor your father and your mother so that you may live long in the land your God is giving you the third reason why it is so important to respect your parents is that they brought you into this world you may not have asked for it but you would not be in this world without them Chang will speak to appearances one of the only ways you can show how much you love them when you go home give your appearance a big hug they have done so much for you the least you can do is to show them respect [Music]
