Hello everyone! Welcome back to your new vidoe. If your're visiting my channel for the first time Hello! My name is Ariunzaya. On this channel, I share personal growth, education, and early career related tips as well as productivity and planning. So if you're new here, hit that subscribe button on the bottom right corner and stay tuned. From my previous videos, I can detect that the audience enjoys my education-related content. Especially my video about "9 Life Hacks to Study Well". People have sent pictures of their notes from what they've learned from my videos. Also, many young generations, people of the same age, and even my older viewers have conveyed that they desire more detailed and broader information about this topic. So in today's video, I want to share more extensive and specific knowledge about studying well from my personal experience. I'm going to be sharing not 9 but 21 educational tips and tricks. I used to be a straight-A student. Thinking back, the key to my academic achievements was my joy of learning. Studying was a fun activity that I was always passionate about. Why did you enjoy learning so much? I asked myself. The response was I already had the environment, mindset, and daily habits that complimented my productivity. People appreciate the activity more when they're experiencing it in their comfort zone and their working method. It's no wonder that you'll be more productive in the field you enjoy working in. These patterns all connect. Before starting today's video, I want to notify you that being strong academically is just a skill. It won't determine your personality, character, and your true nature. Don't let your grades define who you are, and never be disappointed in yourself. For example, some people are good chefs, but some people can't cook. However, everyone can learn to cook. Similarly, if you're not studying well, you can adapt your education skills. Every small action you take is directing towards a more conspicuous development. Before beginning our video, I want to thank the people who are supporting me to purchase a microphone. Let me show you guys my account statement. A lot of my viewers ask me about how they can encourage me other than subscribing, liking, and commenting. So I said if you want to assist me, you can help me get a microphone. Many people aided me financially, and I'm beyond grateful for every one of you. The names are Munkh-Erdene, Dembereltseren, Dulguuntamir, Bayartsogt, Tseebelmaa, Badraa, Uranchimeg, Namuunbaigali. They sent me a message saying "Good luck with everything", "I watch every one of your videos", "Thanks for posting", "Sending money same number as your views". Thank you so much. Next time, I'll meet you guys with a brand new microphone and better quality content. Some people are a bit upset and stressed about this. This is not mandatory, so I don't want anyone too concerned and filling themselves with negative energy and intentions. Okay! Let's get started already. There are 21 pieces of advice, so prepare to take notes, and let's begin. Tip #1 Sit in the front By sitting in the front, you can be favored by the teacher. Also, people tend to concentrate and listen more carefully when they sit closer to the board. It's a law of nature that studying nearer to the teacher will make you more vigilant, observant, and considerate. Tip #2 Reinforce your knowledge by sharing it with others For example, if you've studied a new thing in history class, be sure to share it with a friend. You can say "Hey! I learned an interesting fact in history class, do you want to hear about it?" Not only that you're educating your colleagues, but you're rehearsing what you've discovered in class. Repeating the same information will strengthen and fortify your knowledge. Tip #3 is similar to tip #2. Tip #3 Gain different perspective by asking others what they learned Even though the professor lectured about only one subject, 30 students will have 30 different perspectives. I suggest everyone start small talks about that topic with their classmates as frequently as possible. Everyone will have different opinions. It will help you to be more diverse and benefits you to see everything from a distinctive viewpoint. Sometimes you'll miss some points from the lecture which happens to everyone. At those times, sharing your opinion on that topic with your classmates will help you catch up with the things you've missed. Tip #4 Wear clothes that put you in a ' Study Mode' This tip suits me well. For instance, when I study in the library, I wear formal and tight clothes as much as possible to keep me active and productive. When I'm working, skinny jeans are my go-to. Skintight clothes help me to be more engaged and keep my posture. Women used to tighten their deel (traditional Mongolian clothing) before start working. I consider that clothes set the intention for everyone. Of course, we can't wear tightly fitted deel nowadays. So you can gain consciousness and be more productive by wearing tight clothes. 5th tip is essential. Not everyone learns with the same method. Not everyone will go to school, take notes from the lecture, go home, and become a straight-A student. People can't always study with the traditional technique. Just because that learning procedure didn't work for you doesn't indicate that you can't study, and it doesn't mean that school is not for you. What you should do is, have a conversation with your teacher about how you should operate your learning technique with that subject. Find out what's the best way for you to understand the concept. Then ask your teachers about how you could work with the provided content with your system of studying. Teacher prefers that a lot because they know an abundant amount of sources to research for that subject. They will suggest songs, movies, documentaries, research studies of the concept they're delivering to educate you. Your teacher won't understand how to cooperate with you until you mention it. Be sure to try this trick. Tip #6 is about the times we couldn't focus while studying. I'm not hungry or tired, but there's something that makes me uncomfortable and unfocused. I did researches on google, and it turned out to be dehydration. I gained my concentration back once I started drinking more water. If you study or work for multiple hours, I recommend you drink more water. When we experience hunger while working, we tend to eat more. Also, we sometimes confuse hunger and thirst. Tip #7 Get to know your professors beyond the class. You can have a coffee date with your professor while having a conversation about the subject. You can say that you appreciate his life experiences so much and want to hear more about them. Have the courage to ask your professor for a coffee break Make small talks with them during office hours. Your professor's lecture will be more engaging and stimulating once you know his true nature and personality. Tip #8 Consume knowledge in an organized way Have three sections for new information. One for the must knows, one for good to know, and one for fun to know This way, you can organize the knowledge you've gained. You don't have to understand everything about the topic when taking notes or preparing for an exam. The test will simply be about the information you must know. Highlight everything you must know in green color. In yellow color, highlight the data that's good to know. Sometimes, the teachers will give additional fun facts about the topic. You don't have to worry about remembering every detail about it. These are the things you don't have to waste much time but are fun to know. Highlight these in blue or purple color. When it's exam week, you don't need to bother scrutinizing everything you wrote down. You can prepare a study guide using the information highlighted in green. Tip #9 Whether if you're learning for one or two hours, I recommend everyone to have a solid game plan on how you're going to study. Plan everything before beginning. If you have two hours to work, prepare an outline of what you're doing. For example, for the first 30 minutes, I'll read a book, and for the next 30 minutes, I'll journal and write my essay on the remaining time. Set a timer on your phone and be prepared to handle the tightly organized plan. A lot of people begin working without acknowledging when it's going to end. Tip #10 Take breaks that will positively affect your study session Taking breaks by scrolling through your phone or watching movies is not positively affecting you. Time off should be an activity that will maintain you active and energized for the upcoming work. For instance, going outdoor for five minutes. Shut your eyes and relax for several minutes. Take healthy breaks like this during a long day of work. Tip #11 Create a fun game to compete with yourself. I set a purpose for myself to learn only one thing from the lecture that I'm attending. If I understood that subject fully, then I'll challenge myself to another one. And another one That way, I would acquire not one but ten-twenty new knowledge. Competing with yourself will improve your concentration and productivity. Tip #12 is about personal finance. Firstly, estimate how much is your tuition fee. Even if you have scholarships, find out how much money you're spending and investing in your education. And calculate how much each lecture costs you. After that, you'll realize how much money you're wasting during the period that you're not paying attention to the professor. If you appreciate the budget you've invested and funded for your education, there is no way that you're not concentrating during the lectures. Tip #13 Focus on getting as much notes down as possible. Make it pretty later Write down as much as you could, and redesign or add colors to it after you've concluded the study. People tend to concentrate less on the professor and more on their notebook to make it better-looking. The only information that would remain to you is the notes that you've written. Scribble down as much data as possible and organize it when you come home. That way, the information would be more realistic. Tip #14 If you're distracted by your phone during the lecture, I suggest you to turn the airplane mode on or power off your phone and put it in the bag. Don't leave your phone in visible sight. Also, login with a new user on computer. I use a MacBook, and when I log in as a new account, all my information will be fresh, as if I was using a new computer. Be sure to try this trick as well. Tip #15 I recommend you to take notes rather than typing. I try to balance both. However, it tends to be more comfortable and more understandable to read from a handwritten note. Typing on a computer appears to be not engaging with the brain as much as writing. Typing might save some time, but we co-operate with our mind more when we're handwriting. For example, Harvard Business School prohibits electronic devices in the classroom. You'll write down everything manually. If Harvard uses this system, there must be a purpose and we should learn from it. Tip #16 Treat your mind as a newborn. We raise our babies with nutritious food. Similarly, our brain stays healthy, vibrant, and active by constantly learning new things. Fueling your spirit with fresh information is the same as feeding our stomach when we're starving. I relish studying because it charges me with energy and vitality. I sense so much satisfaction after I understand the question that I was concentrating on. Makes we want fly. I'm sure that everyone will achieve this sensation. Once you have a glimpse of it, the passion will get more powerful. This feeling will fuel you up with the pleasure and delight of learning. Tip #17 Ask your professor about how this concept can apply in real life This method has many benefits. If you ask questions and be active, the professor will fancy you. Secondly, by asking, questions you become more productive and engaged. Also, if you bring the topic to real life in a more relatable situation, you will concentrate more on the lecture. Tip #18 Use stationary that you enjoy and look forward to using. For example, I purchase journals in my favorite color. I give effort to choosing my notebooks. I'll decorate the journal if I don't like how it looks. I invest so much dedication to picking the pens because they're a necessity to me. Don't just see stationaries as a tool to study. You'll appreciate doing the activity more If you surround yourself with the things that give you happiness and delight. Tip #19 If the lesson gets tiresome and you seem to lose concentration, don't up pick your phone and waste time. If the subject feels monotonous to you, think about how your friends will interact with this lesson. Try to see from their prespective. If you see from this aspect, not only you'll focus on the question more, but you'll also be conjecturing it more diversely. Using this method will help you recentre your focus. Tip #20 If you get an excellent grade on a test or have a perfect score on your essay, don't just leave it there because you've got your desired mark. I used to question my teacher why did I get high grades. For example, I used to ask my professor about which part of the essay leads you to mark it with an A. My teacher used to respond with more detailed and specific reasons for why my essay was high-grade. This tip has so many advantages. Firstly, I'll feel the enthusiasm from myself, as well as inspiration. Secondly, you'll get the opportunity to get to understand your professor's mindset and perspective. After that, you'll gain a sense of how your professor would grade your works. By keeping that in mind, you can increase the possibilities of getting higher marks because you distinguish your teacher's preferences. Your assumption about your high grades might be separate from your teachers'. That's why questioning them about the reasons for your mark is essential. Last but not least, tip #21 Everyone shall possess the ability to scale their success. Measure your success as little as just showing up for class. You might not understand anything from that lecture. But you already win yourself by deciding to attend the session and coming to the classroom. Celebrate your small successes. If you view it from that perspective, you'll be closer to learning new things from that lecture. Just by attending the class, you are one step ahead of people who're lying on their sofa. That's the end of the video. I hope you enjoyed the 21 tips and tricks for studying well. Comment down which one you enjoyed, and which one you're attempting. See you on my next video! Goodbye.
