Luna is going to be helping us learn the place command today we are in the teaching phase which means that we are going to be using the Escape approach that means that we're going to be applying stem before we give a verbal cue or leash pressure so what's going to end up happening is I'm going to hold the C button down on the working number that we've been doing tap and feeds on and as soon as I see her indicate to me that she's feeling it I'm going to help her with a verbal Q she has already been t the verbal queue on a leash first that's really important that we teach these commands on leash first so that we can help them with a verbal quue while we're doing e-collar work and conditioning that e-collar so as soon as I see her feel it I'm in a safe place and she doesn't go whenever I say place then I'm going to help with the leash the leash is really only here if we absolutely need it it's like our backdrop helpline please also know I am uh indicating when I'm turning stem on and off with the collar that's on the table so you'll see when I'm turning stem on and you'll see whenever I'm turning stem off we're going to go ahead and get started I'm going to let her itch I'm going to wait for that good rep so it's quality over quantity so the dog doesn't have to be in a sit but I don't want them pulling on the end of the leash or already hopping onto place going to turn stem on one place yes soon as she started going I turned it off and I'm going to release her break as soon as I feed her and then we're going to start the whole process over again on place yes and then in a releaser break you'll also notice I'm not moving my feet a lot guys you don't have to walk the dog to place every single time I'm not letting her go to place until I have indicated it again quality on place yes break on pleas yes on place yes good break that time I didn't have to help her so much with the word she felt stem and started getting on which is a really good sign again if you're wondering what number we're on we are in between a zero and a 10 please yes bre on please yes bre please yes so now I'm kind of letting her problem solve a little bit right when she fills that stem I'm not helping her as quickly as I was yes please bre place yes break and that's the start of conditioning e-collar to the place command
