said Subhan Allah we have to we have to see what we're going to do here I mean I prepared a lesson we got to do what we can do and see how it goes and so surprisingly amazingly the youth they took on to this Dar and I said you know okay next week inshallah I think there will not be any kids there I think it was too much for them and they're just like wao man and the next week I came and there's like 30 kids there I said Subhan Allah the book that we're studying is and the IM who wrote This Book is Islam Tam and this is a book that deals in the beginning of it with the issue of the names and the qualities of Allah the names and the attributes of Allah the of and so this is from one of the most important subject matters because first and foremost we're discussing Allah Asel we're discussing Allah and there is no greater subject than to discuss Allah Asel and from what we're discussing about Allah is his names and his qualities because how will you have a relationship with Allah if you do not know and understand understand his names and his qualities if you don't understand his actions if you don't understand these things about Allah how will you have a strong relationship with Allah Asel for example if you only knew your dad is Dad will you have a strong relationship with your father if someone says do you have a dad and you say yes I have a dad well what about your dad I don't know but I have a dad what if you have a mom but you don't know your mom and you don't know what it means to have a mom and you don't know her qualities and someone says to you you have a mom and you say yes I have a mom but you don't know much about your mom will you have a strong relationship with your mom or a weak relationship with your mom which one weak because you don't know much about her but why do you have such a strong relationship with your mom guys come forward come forward inshah come forward come forward come forward why do you have a strong relationship with your mom why because you know who she is and you know what she does and to Allah is the highest example example so when Muslims today have problems in their religion the most important place for you to look with the Muslim youth today in my opinion is do they know the names and the qualities of their lord and his actions and do they understand them correctly because when you understand that Allah is that Allah is the provider and what that means that Allah is and what that means then you will be able to rely on Allah when you see many other people do not rely on Allah they rely on maybe some famous personality even some people are relying on musicians when I was growing up musicians were raising me up musicians were teaching me how to be a man because I didn't have that influence right but if I had the knowledge of Allah that was in my heart and I knew better about my Lord then I think and Allah knows best I would have made a lot of different decisions in my lifetime and the same thing goes for the Youth today and the same same thing goes for families today when families know Allah Asel and they know about him and his qualities then they know they can have a strong relationship with him and they can return to him but when families have a weak connection with Allah and you remind them with Allah but the name Allah sounds like the name God to you Christians don't know what God means Christians don't know what Jesus this means that's why they have Godless homes because the presence of their lord they don't experience because they don't understand what does God mean what does Jesus mean was that even his name and now today we find Muslims making the same mistake they give Allah names that he never had and we even find the duat who are calling the people to the Muslims who are talking to the Muslims Muslims and they keep using the word God God God God in some callers never even use Allah's name there's a famous famous caller he is so famous millions in millions of followers he only uses the word Almighty he never calls on Allah in his in his post he says Almighty XYZ Almighty XYZ Almighty XYZ he never says Allah so this is going to lead to big problem because how can you have a relationship with what you don't know or understand and this is why one of the wisdoms why Allah Asel he told you so many of his names and so most Mercy there is no mercy like Allah's mercy so after we know that we affirm what Allah affirms for himself without doing four things what are the four things we don't do comp without comparing interpret give example compare and we don't negate and we don't what negate we don't do that okay and when it comes to the names and qualities of Allah we say that all of Allah's qualities and his names are complete meaning they're free from two things who can tell with two things a complete name is free from two things anything that's complete is free from two things this is is for $20 two things that a complete thing anything that is complete and Allah is the only one he is complete in his own existence in his Essence in his existence in all of his qualities in his Mercy in all of his from other things outside of him first shouldn't you go to Allah first shouldn't you shouldn't you you should why because his knowledge is what is complete it's absolute it has no deficiency and no defect meaning is there anything Allah doesn't know then should you consult Allah for everything no yes yes you should go to Allah for everything cuz there's nothing he doesn't know and there's nothing that he can't do there's nothing that he is not able to do there's nothing Allah is not able to do okay so so again we affirm what Allah has affirmed for himself we say yes whenever Allah he says that he this we say that some people come and say how come you say that he's he why do you say that he's he why do you say that have you seen him have you seen Allah why do you say that he's he anybody tell me why you say Allah is he who why do you say that it's really simple yes no we know yes no think about it I said asalam alaykum I said everything about Allah you affirm if he said it you not go to the Creator first does that make sense to you guys he's the provider and his providing is perfect so why would you go to something less than him when he is the allseeing the all hearing the all knowing why would you go anywhere else first why would you go anywhere else first am me why why brother why do you go anywhere else first brother why the answer is what you wouldn't if you knew that he's what he's the provider and you remembered that and that his providing is what perfect Allah's providing is perfect everything save Allah everything besides Allah is either incomplete or deficient or both it's what incomplete deficient or both everything besides Allah law is either what incomplete deficient or both or both incomplete so this is the next thing now today that was all review that's what we've already done today I want to talk to you guys about a big big big subject this is big this is really really big this has to do with after we know that Allah's names and his qualities are complete perfect without any incompleteness and without any deficiency and and for Allah is the what the highest example is the what highest example if for Allah is the highest example is there anything like him if for Allah is the highest example is there anything like his qualities remember that if for Allah is the highest example then is there anything similar to him is there anything comparable to him who can give me an Ayah for both a proof for both of those there's an Ayah that literally says there's nothing similar to him and there's nothing comparable to him yes what' type that we do do with the names and attributes of Allah there's two types that we don't do two types of interpretation of using critical thinking that we don't do and there is one type that we do do okay I'll give you an example when Allah says and here goes the example for the whole thing Allah says he has a yed Allah says he has a what hand no yed first of all he said yed did he say hand it can be linguistically interpreted as a hand however let's not go there let's say the first thing we say if Allah says he has a yet then we say he has a now if we want to contemplate and ponder over our Lord then there's two things that we won't do in that thinking and there's one thing that we can do the first thing that we can't do is take a general meaning and make it specific we can't make we can't take a general meaning and make it what specific for example let's look at the mercy of Allah here if we say Mercy in general is to be kind and we just generalize just general kindness and then we try to make it specific for Allah and fit that in we say no because his Mercy in encompasses everything it it showers over encompasses everything so we can't specify for him a a portion of mercy and can and just give that to him say he has merciful with Believers only for example can you say that can you say that that Allah is only merciful with Believers can you say that no we don't say that another type of thing we don't do this for the older guys I can see the younger guys are like whoop they're tuning out the other thing we can't do is take something specific and make it General now a specific a a general meaning and made specific to Allah okay here we say and for Allah is what the greatest example for Allah is the what greatest example so when Allah says he has a yet there's nothing there's nothing that's similar right and there's no example of it is there so we affirm it right and we say that it is his yet we affirm it for him and it is complete and it's perfect and it has no defect or deficiency and we leave it like that and Allah's Mercy is complete it's perfect it has no deficiency nothing that it's lacking and we don't try to say that Mercy now is like the mercy of my mom and we don't try to say that General Mercy is the mercy in Allah because all of the mercy that we know is only one p one portion of the mercy that Allah has and Allah informed us of this with the messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam that Allah's Mercy that he has all the mercy that we could ever be aware of in this world is only just a portion of the mercy of Allah so there's mercy of Allah that is not even understandable in this life Subhan Allah right so this is the important part I had to say to you we take the names and qualities of Allah and we don't take the general meaning and make it specific and we don't make the specific meaning and make it General but we say the example is the highest example and there's nothing like it you understand there's nothing like it there's interpretation of using critical thinking that we don&#39;t do and there is one type that we do do okay I&#39;ll give you an example when Allah says and here goes the example for the whole thing Allah says he has a yed Allah says he has a what hand no yed first of all he said yed did he say hand it can be linguistically interpreted as a hand however let&#39;s not go there let&#39;s say the first thing we say if Allah says he has a yet then we say he has a now if we want to contemplate and ponder over our Lord then there&#39;s two things that we won&#39;t do in that thinking and there&#39;s one thing that we can do the first thing that we can&#39;t do is take a general meaning and make it specific we can&#39;t make we can&#39;t take a general meaning and make it what specific for example let&#39;s look at the mercy of Allah here if we say Mercy in general is to be kind and we just generalize just general kindness and then we try to make it specific for Allah and fit that in we say no because his Mercy in encompasses everything it it showers over encompasses everything so we can&#39;t specify for him a a portion of mercy and can and just give that to him say he has merciful with Believers only for example can you say that can you say that that Allah is only merciful with Believers can you say that no we don&#39;t say that another type of thing we don&#39;t do this for the older guys I can see the younger guys are like whoop they&#39;re tuning out the other thing we can&#39;t do is take something specific and make it General now here is with the yed of Allah you know no defect or deficiency and we leave it like that and Allah&#39;s Mercy is complete it&#39;s perfect it has no deficiency nothing that it&#39;s lacking and we don&#39;t try to say that Mercy now is like the mercy of my mom and we don&#39;t try to say that General Mercy is the mercy in Allah because all of the mercy that we know is only one p one portion of the mercy that Allah has and Allah informed us of this with the messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam that Allah&#39;s Mercy that he has all the mercy that we could ever be aware of in this world is only just a portion of the mercy of Allah so there&#39;s mercy of Allah that is not even understandable in this life Subhan Allah right so this is the important part I had to say to you we take the names and qualities of Allah and we don&#39;t take the general meaning and make it specific and we don&#39;t make the specific meaning and make it General but we say the example is the highest example and there&#39;s nothing like it you
