Hey what's up guys, Chiggs here from Chiggs Tech Reviews and today I'm going to be testing out this 3 port USB 2 hub which also has an ethernet port. Ok I bought this especially for this. So the Xiaomi Mi Box is a superb Android TV box, it's a great all-rounder. The only problem I found was there's only one USB port and no network LAN port. Okay the solution is hopefully this.
You'll be able to connect this device to the USB port and it will then give you three USB ports and also a network LAN port. So I'm going to test this out with the Mi Box and I'm going to show you the results and hopefully it works out just fine. So let's get the box open and see what it looks like.
So this is everything you get in the box. You've got an instruction manual, you've got a driver CD, so you've got some sort of driver CD here, I'm assuming that's only going to be if you set it up with Windows, and the device itself. So here is the device, so you've got the logo there, Ugreen, and it says USB 2 multifunctional hub. All right so you've got three USB ports and the network LAN port.
Nothing on the other side and that's what it looks like underneath. Okay and if I take this protective cover off you can see it's a standard USB. So I'm going to plug in the USB port. plug this into my xiaomi mi box which i love so much and i'm hoping that this will give me a land port i got this especially for the land port so i'm going to hook all this up and i'm going to test it out and i'm going to show you guys the results so i've just attached this hub to the mi box and i've put in a dongle just to check out the usb so with this keyboard right now you should be able to see the screen as well because i'm actually screen capturing all of this at the same time so we're going to do all this in real time so you can see from the screen capture that this keyboard is working absolutely fine I'm going to go to Wi-Fi now and I'm going to make sure Wi-Fi is switched off so yeah Wi-Fi device off okay so the Wi-Fi device is off we haven't got any sort of internet connection and it says an Ethernet not connected as you can see now if it will reach I'll bring my Ethernet cable and I'm going to plug it in to this and I'm hoping it's just plug-and-play I don't want to have to configure anything okay it says connected on the screen as you can see Wi-Fi you can see not connected Ethernet is connected if I'll open it it says I've got the internet connection now so now I'm going to go back Okay so I've got my YouTube page open, I'm connected via ethernet and I'm just going to play one of these videos and see how it plays. Yep I'm on the internet, I'm connected via ethernet, the connection is very fast. So there you have it guys, this product is amazing, it works great, exactly what I needed for my Mi Box. So now my Mi Box will... will have three usb ports and an ethernet lan connection so the only thing letting the me box down was that it didn't have a lan port this is the solution what i'm going to do is put the links of this product in the description so you guys can pick one up i bought this especially for the me box but you can use this on any device you can use this on your pc your mac your laptop your netbook you could even try using this on a tablet it may even work with an otg cable plug it into a tablet and your tablet will then have three usb ports and a lan port So yeah check the links in the description this is a very useful product thank you so much for watching and I hope you all have a brilliant day.
