Content Creators' Channel Challenges and Updates

Hello guys, welcome back to the channel. You haven't seen a video for us in a while. It's been a bit of a wild ride recently. We've had some big changes, some unexpected things come up and we haven't been able to put out some content for you but today we are going to bring you up to date on all of those things. So be sure to stick around for the whole video so you can see, we can tell you all about those changes. As you guys know, just recently we have made a hundred thousand subscribers. So I want to thank all of you guys for getting us there. This has been a big mark we've been trying to get to for a while to get this channel growing so that we can share it with more of you guys and it also helps support us. But as far as supporting us, you guys have probably heard That recently YouTube has stopped paying people in Russia on their YouTube channels. Our channel is based out of Russia. So that means that they have cut off all our way to earn money through the YouTube channel. They no longer pay us for the videos we put out. Earlier, a year or two ago, they stopped paying us for all Russian views. But now they completely closed the whole thing down. There's no way for them to pay us and they won't. So that's something that makes it a bit difficult for us. Obviously, we're trying to build that up as one of the ways of supporting ourselves here. So we are looking for another way to make these videos that we are making for you guys. Financial again. We're still looking in a way that we can do that. There's a few different options out there. We've looked into some of the Russian channels but they are like the Russian Zen and RuTube and they to be... honest about it they just don't not very financially viable anyway we're looking into ways of getting that back going so we'll keep you up to date with that Alrighty guys, I also want to thank you for the support you guys have given us to get us to 100,000k subscribers. There's no silver button for us, there's actually no nothing for us being 100,000k subscribers. But as we mentioned before, with the channel, our main goal has always been just to show what our life. was like here in Russia and to be able to share it with you guys and and to show other people who don't live in Russia what life in Russia can be like so at least it's done that as Joe I shared we are trying to look at other options which will keep you up to date on now the next thing that has been a major disappointment for us is if you look at the house behind me you'll see workers stopped on the house and that's because Since we bought the property, the zoning we had on our property is for like personal subsidiary farming which means you can run a small farm on this property which is which we have to do but you have to get a special permission on that land to be able to build and then live on that land. Now in our initial inquiries when we did that it was a straightforward process and and supposed to go quite quickly. We have since it just hasn't worked out that way. And we're getting delay after delay getting this paperwork processed and approved and we just don't have a guaranteed time frame for when we'll be able to get this approval in place. So for that reason we can't continue building the house until we get that approval in place and then once we have that then we can come back to continuing on building here. So we have some other options that we're trying to hunt down. Obviously we need a place to live for winter and we'll keep you guys updated with how that works out we're not exactly sure what it's going to look like right now but yeah very disappointing to get this far down we had every intention you know we started the year out you know 90 days to build a cabin and that was truly our intent but we've just had hiccup after hold up uh trying to get things done here and we just at this point can't justify sinking all the money in building it all up and then but not have the approval in place first and to be quite honest um you know from my years experience not only here in russia but also in other places it's just it's just unwise to do things and then hope oh yeah that'll just that'll just it'll just happen and the approvals will come because sometimes they don't and until we have that ticket in place or that approval in place we are we just can't go any further in the cabin so it's very disappointing it is uh also from the sense of You know the work we've put into it, it's going to sit here over winter. We're really hoping that it won't go backwards at all as far as you know with the timber and things like that being exposed to the weather but we'll just work with that. We've got some plans in place about how we're going to try and prevent that and work with it but yeah very very disappointing. Like the thumbnail says, you know, dreams cancelled. We really had every intention to have the cabin up, be living here and just enjoying our little farm. Because it is, you know, we've been living here in the shed, basically staying here while we're doing construction. And it's just a fantastic place to live. We love it. The weather's, all that, like we've shown you before, the mountains and watching the weather come down and seeing all the, just the weather coming through and nature. It's really, really beautiful, we love it. But we can't justify doing it here right now until we get these approvals in place. So you can see here that, I'll show you Mrs B's veggie patch. You can see here, it's coming on end of summer now, early spring, early autumn I should say. And yeah, we've been harvesting all the tomatoes, starting to ripen up, there's beans. There's beans, zucchini, cucumbers, silverbeet and then you've got a patch of corn here and more things. So as far as it's been really nice living here and we've enjoyed it and it's almost like you're living here full time. But yeah we just can't justify it. Look at the size of that. Look at the size of that. Katie it's colossal another thing that an issue that we've had throughout this year is for those of you who may not know obviously our youngest daughter Sabrina is has gone through the whole immigration process and she's now a full Russian citizen Joash is a permanent resident here in Russia But for myself and Mrs. B, we are actually temporary residency. We, for those of you who know our story and have followed our story, we first came here in 2019 and then everyone got started here and then Mrs. B and myself had to go back to Australia to sell our farm and then of course there was the whole COVID deal. So we were stuck outside of Russia and then our sold... farm in Australia sold during COVID and then we're actually stuck between Australia and Russia for nearly a year just traveling to different countries trying to work out a way to get back to be together as a family so that that's why we don't all have the same immigration status so earlier on this year we put our application in to become permanent residents because we were we had had all the requirements we had a situation arise where that was denied What happened was some information that we put on our form was believing it was completely correct. They've come back and said, no look it's incorrect. They then fined us and charged us for that and actually threatened to kick us out of the country which was a huge letdown for us and of course you know we put so much time and energy into moving here to Russia and then to be threatened with being deported for a simple mistake on some paperwork was very disheartening. We are still trying to get that issue resolved, working with the migration department, to to come up with a reasonable solution and part of that is the registration process like because we live here and for those of you aren't aware what Russia is like you have to be registered somewhere which we are but I'm going to go into specifics but being we can't register on this land until that what I spoke about before is changed until we have a registrable address on this land so uh we're trying to get that issue sorted and these are the things if it's taking up so much of our time over the summer period when we should be you know straightforward building and have uh you know have this all up and done uh for those of you follow our friends channel which is uh countryside acres or end uh i don't know whether many of you know but we're actually good friends with arend and anissa uh i've been talking with arend way before he got to russia uh and you know they're doing great job getting their place up and built but they're on a different migration path than we are and some of the good news that's coming out you may not some may not heard is the rush has just passed a law simplifying the migration process for people to be able to come here so that's a very exciting thing but uh we don't feel in that path because obviously we were here before that law was passed and So we're still going to try and work around other things. And even with this new path they're bringing in, there's still some more changes regarding registration, which is something I'm trying to work with some of the contacts I have to get this changed so that anybody who wants to move to Russia, it is a much more straightforward process. So, yeah, they're the things that we're dealing with right now. And they're the reasons why, you know, this has had to come to a halt right now. It's very disappointing in the sense that here we are at the end of the pretty much the building season having to scramble and find another option for something to do. So we'll keep you updated as much as we can. In the next couple of videos there will be, it'll just be working out what hey we're going to go forward. Will the channel keep going or what option do we have? So be sure you're watching for our next couple of videos where we explain what we can do as we head another out we've got a few things that we're trying to arrange right now and then as soon as we know that we'll let you guys know and how we can go forward from here so again we really appreciate you guys watching us following us uh joining our journey uh you know i was expecting 2024 to be a great year lots of things happening but we've just had you know these major setbacks and it's really slowed us down but we just pick ourselves up again and try and find a way forward Like I said, we had some major changes happening in the family which we're going to keep you updated about. And as soon as we know those things, we'll let you guys know. So anyway, we hope you enjoyed the little update. You know what's going on with us. We haven't fallen off the face of the earth. We're still here. We're still trying. We're still trying to get things done. And yeah, keep supporting us. Keep following us. And we will see you guys on the next one.
