what is up yours the eric v your stream teacher and maybe you just got your hands on your brand new ps5 or maybe you just got your hands on an elgato hd60s or maybe both and you want to show your friends all those exclusives that ps5 has like godfall and bug snacks and the demon soul that doesn't count that's a remake maybe you want to show them your gameplay so let's get into it it's easier than you think class is in session [Music] so the first thing you want to do is go into your settings on your ps5 go into system go into hdmi enable hdcp you want to turn that off this will not work if you don't do that so do that first you want to plug in that hdmi cable that came with the elgato into the in port of your elgato hd60 and you're going to plug in that usb cable on the same side of it there's only one port so you can't plug in that usb in the wrong spot i'd normally keep those two cables plugged into the elgato at all times just so that i know where the cables are and i don't confuse myself with the hdmi cables after that i start to plug in my usb into my laptop and yes i game and stream off of a laptop i will not be judged and sometimes it's hard to get that usb port in there and you know it's hard to find the hole you know what i mean fellas you get it so you plug that in and once that's plugged into the laptop or computer you're ready to get to your ps5 you want to unplug the cable not the power cable like i did here don't do what i did and you want to plug in that hdmi from the ps5 into your elgato and that other cable on the in port of your elgato you want to plug into your ps5 and once you've done that you can secure your ps5 in place so that will not fall then you want to go into your streaming application this can be obs slabs whatever you go to video capture device under your sources you can rename that source ps5 if you want to and once you click ok you should see it pop up right there under the elgato game capture device what i like to do is go to audio input mode and i like to change that to output desktop mode wave out so that i can hear the game as i play the game and that's really all there is to it so just plug in this thing as you would any other console and make sure you have a usb 3.0 port make sure you turn off the hdcp and you're good to go if you want to see some of my ps5 gameplay of course you can stop by my twitch channel which is the eric v and if you've got any questions ask them in there ask them in the comments wherever i can get to you in my discord too class dismissed what y'all doing here get out of here it's the arrow dogs i have to go a little bit lower canine anatomy feline and that if you know what i meant what's up shine that shy dodie just
