Insights on Recent Beauty Product Launches

The new launches are officially out of control. For as much as I love beauty and I love new launches of things that are actually amazing, I have been feeling so overwhelmed by all of the new beauty launches lately. Because I don't know about you guys, but I feel like every review I see on a new launch on, especially short-form content lately, is a rave review explaining why it's the best product to ever exist. And to be honest, I'm sick of it. I just feel like social media didn't used to be like this, where every time you opened an app, it was like... Oh my god, you guys, you won't believe it. These are seriously life-changing. That didn't used to be a thing in the way that it is now. Now, I feel like it's way more difficult to find negative reviews on products than it is positive. So I took one for the team. I have tested out all of these products extensively. I have footage of me applying every single one. So you can not only see what these look like up close in the pan and swatched out, but you can also see them being applied to my face and how they look on actual skin in the hopes that I can help you to sift through all of these new launches and figure out which of these products, if any at all, are actually going to be worth your money. Because if I'm being totally honest, which I am, I literally can't help it. There's not a lot here that I think is... actually worth the hype it's gotten on social media. So let's dive in. Starting off with complexion launches, we have the new Charlotte Tilbury. I don't need to say new. Everything in this video is relatively new. We have the Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick. Charlotte Tilbury, they are so good with their marketing. The way that they photograph and capture video and just explain every single one of their products. sucks me in. It does. And that is no different when it comes to this one. It's described as a ring light effect and a hydrating foundation stick that blurs and smooths for a soft focus skin glow. This is available in 20 different shades and I was sent two different shades in PR. Most of these products were thankfully sent to me in PR. Otherwise videos like this would be impossible for me to film because of how expensive it gets. So I was sent the shades 5 medium and 7.5 medium. Both of these have a bit of a golden reflect, but 7.5 medium is definitely much more warm and undertone. Charlotte Tilbury highlights a few different ingredients in this. The first being a trademarked ingredient called plant powered collagener, which is supposed to help with things like skin firmness, bounce, and elasticity. This also has multiple molecular weight hyaluronic acid, dicon radish seed oil, and vitamin E. This foundation stick has a very very slippery balmy texture. And it's so slippery that it does honestly feel a bit greasy when I'm applying it directly to my skin, but once it's fully blended in, it doesn't feel greasy anymore. This offers sheer to light coverage and has a finish that's both very radiant and very dewy, meaning that you get that highlighter-y pearlescent effect in addition to a really like wet juicy effect. So it's no surprise that this is a product that is just too much of those things for me personally because I have skin that leans oily. So knowing that, I wanted to see if I could figure out a different use for this and if maybe instead it would just work as a really nice primer for me. Underneath makeup, the glow that it gives me is gorgeous initially. There is no denying that. But unfortunately, this just doesn't really hold up for me with a full day of wear. It definitely makes my skin look greasy and starts to break up the makeup that I have on top of it. Obviously, I recognize that this wasn't designed to be a primer, so that's totally fine, but if you were wondering if this is something that would be an alternative to the flawless filter, I would say no. At least based on my personal experience. So I would just stick to flawless filter or e.l.f. Halo Glow if you were looking to use this like that. Otherwise, if you're looking for a foundation stick that gives you that super dewy radiant effect all at once. This may be something that you're interested in, but for me, it's just a no. Moving on to the newest addition to the It Cosmetics CC Cream Collection, they have a new version called Natural Matte. Just like their other CC creams, this also has added sunscreen. It's an SPF 40 with a combination of chemical filters and mineral filters. And those are Encelisol, Octisale, and titanium dioxide. And just like with basically every skincare slash makeup product from IT Cosmetics. This is loaded with a laundry list of ingredients that are supposed to benefit the skin, but of course we don't know how much of each ingredient is actually added. But those that stood out to me as being especially beneficial include niacinamide, airlysium, lentil seed extract, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, adenosine, kaolin for oil absorption, and peptides. There are 30 different shades available in this. I do think it's kind of weird how they change the shades based on the type of product. This one has 30 and the shade that I have here is light neutral. So the biggest difference between this and their other two CC creams is of course the matte finish, but the fact that this is supposed to be shine reducing. It claims to contain a skin balancing serum while also offering color correcting full coverage. This has a thicker cream like texture that is kind of stiff and dry. So it's definitely not the most seamless to blend. It's medium to very full coverage depending on how much you use. And the finish on me, I would say ends up being like a natural matte. At first, I really don't like the way. way this looks on me. I think it just looks flat and doesn't do my skin any favors, but as my natural oils start to come through, I like the way it looks a lot more. But... It still is a product that I think is just more makeup-y. Like you can just tell you're wearing makeup. And while that is fine, there's nothing wrong with wearing makeup, there are so many amazing products now that don't look that way, but still make my skin look incredible and offer the level of coverage that I need. So for those reasons, this is just not something that I wanna keep in my collection. But if you are a big fan of this CC cream range and you've been wanting one that is better for oily skin, You may love it. Moving on to concealer, we have the Milk Makeup Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer. This is said to be a hydrating crease-proof concealer with medium buildable coverage that covers dark circles and breakouts while improving the look of skin over time. What ingredients do you have to make claims like this? I didn't even look because like normally I have no faith in concealers to do that. Let's see quick. Hyaluronic acid, Defend and Revive Complex. Okay. so what? Anti-inflammatory plant extracts, caffeine, aloe vera, arnica, collagen amino acids, sunflower seed oil, other plant oils, and squalane. I'm sounding extra negative. This does definitely have some nice ingredients, but do I think that this alone is going to make my under eyes look better over time? I don't personally think so, but maybe it will for you. There are 30 different shades in this range. And again, the brand sent me two different options. The first is 4N and the second is 7NW. This is definitely a very creamy concealer, but it's thinner for being creamy. So it doesn't feel heavy under the eyes. It's not something that. feels like I'm wearing a creamy concealer, which for me personally is what I want. I don't like the feeling of like heavy creams under the eyes when it comes to makeup. Of course for skin, that's a different story. And this looks really, really nice at first. I think it's a good combination of offering more coverage while still looking fresher under the eyes and unlike the Cosmetic CC Cream not being something that looks super makeup-y. Unfortunately, this wears like trash on me. It settles into lines, it clings in different areas, and it makes the skin underneath like my bottom lashes look dry. But the worst part about this was that no matter what mascara I wore with it, every single one ended up smudging on it. And I always set my under eye concealer with powder so it's not like that was the issue and I just left this really creamy product under my eyes which of course of course is gonna make mascara smudge. That wasn't the problem. It is just this concealer, and I can say that for sure, because every other concealer I've been testing out recently, a couple of which are gonna be featured in this video, don't do that. So this is just not for me either. Another one bites the dust. The next concealer I put to the test is the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Concealer. Lift and flex concealer specifically. This is supposed to be a serum hybrid compl... a complexion-improving formula that flexes and moves with your skin. It contains plant-powered ingredients that visibly smooth and correct all areas of the face with a soft matte finish. And the ingredients that they highlight in this concealer to allegedly offer those benefits are again pretty much all plant extracts. So things like caffeine, cushion extract, orchid flower, and shin-how do you say this word? I've seen it a million times. Echinacea. I was not gonna say that. Echinacea extract. purslane extract. This does have centella asiatica. So again, definitely ingredients in this that help to back up some of the things they're saying. This concealer is available in 20 different shades, and this time the brand sent me four. So I have shade number five, six, seven, and eight. Seven and eight are too dark for me. These are definitely much better matches with six being the best. This concealer was definitely reminding me a little bit of the House Labs concealer. not exactly with the actual texture formula because it's quite a bit thinner than the house slabs one but more so in the way that it meshes with the skin under my eyes and just makes that area look nice and hydrated and skin like at first so the first few times I tested this out and did full day wear tests I just wore it completely by itself and I always really liked the way it looked I felt it worn nicely throughout the day even up to the end of the day so I wanted to actually test it out side by side next to the house slabs concealer given that that is my current favorite and I'm looking Looking at the footage up close, I do feel like the Danessa Myricks one settles into lines just a little bit more than House Labs. And the other big difference that I noticed when looking up close is that my coverage seems to last and hold better with House. Some of that coverage definitely did just fade away a little bit with Danessa Myricks and I could see my dark circles starting to... pop through more. It wasn't anything I would have really noticed had I not had it on next to House Labs, so I still do think it's a nice concealer, but because I do think that House Labs performs just a little bit better and that is already something that I own and love, I'm just going to stick to using that over this. Okay, this is a product that completely took me by surprise. It is the new Tarte Creaseless Creamy Concealer, and I had zero expectations for this, especially because what I remember of... What is even their original concealer that everyone was obsessed with? Shape tape, duh. That was one of the most makeup-y concealers I had ever tried. I know everybody- I loved it. I did not. So when I opened this PR package, I was like, do I even want to test this out? Like, I just, I know I'm going to hate it. And I didn't, I not only didn't hate it, I actually love this. And you know, that means a lot based on everything I've said about all the rest of these products so far. And we'll say about everything else. So this is supposed to be skincare in a bottle. There's definitely a marketing theme here with all of these concealer launches. So Tarte says that they infused all of our skincare into their new creaseless, creamy concealer with almost 60% skincare ingredients in each bottle. That's very interesting. I wonder how that would compare and like what they're categorizing as a skincare ingredient. We can't trust things like that. But this does contain maracuja passion fruit, cloudberry, caffeine, bacuchiol, and niacinamide. If they were just like, this has vitamin E, I'd be like, get lost. So this claims to be an anti-crease formula that won't break down or settle into lines. It's supposed to cover the look of dark circles, redness, blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and more, smoothing out life's creases, and supposed to leave your skin looking more hydrated and moisturized. I didn't believe anything that they said when I first saw that. I was like, no, I bet this is going to crease real bad. They have 34 different shades and the two shades that they sent me are 22N light neutral and 29N light neutral. 22 is definitely just too bright for me under the eyes. So I have been going for 29. This is definitely creamy in feel, but at the same time, it's very, very thin. And as you start to blend it and kind of spread it out, it just starts to feel even thinner. So it's definitely not comparable to Shape Tape, which again is like... thick and creamy. I'm honestly kind of surprised that they chose to use creamy as the main selling point of this product because I feel like a lot of the times when you hear that with concealer it's a turn off because you're worried about that creasing and I know it's creaseless creamy but that like reads as an oxymoron to me and I feel like there are just better ways to describe this instead of creamy. But anyway, like most other concealers that I try these days, this does look beautiful upon initial application. It has medium to full coverage. It has that like hydrating skin-like effect. But again, I still wasn't expecting much knowing that I had that same kind of experience with the Milk Concealer and that turned out terribly. But this wears so well, like better than how slabs on me. Like this is probably the most minimal fine line settling and under eye creasing concealer I have tried. in I don't know how long. And that's not to say that fine lines are not visible with it because they definitely are. It's just that products doesn't settle or cling in those lines as heavily as other concealers I've tried. I don't think that it looks as amazingly brightening and hydrating under the eyes as the House Labs concealer. but that's something that really gets toned down once I powder it. Like it looks amazing without powder, but I have to powder my concealer. So once both of the concealers are powdered, I feel like that is less noticeable. So this is one of the few products in this video that I am truly, truly impressed by. I have reached for this so many times since I first tested it out. So I am going to continue playing around with this. I feel like I need a good couple of months to like really see if this is something that would replace house for me entirely. But until then... I'm gonna keep using it because I'm really loving it. Next up is a product that I was weirdly really excited about. I don't know why. I feel like I don't typically get excited about a pressed powder, but I did. This is the Rare Beauty Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder, and it's described as a weightless tinted powder that does it all. Instantly blurs, smooths, reduces shine, and sets makeup with a natural finish that stays true to you and your skin. They say it has a diffused cloud effect that lets radiance filter through, layering seamlessly and undetectably over bare skin or makeup. There are 14 different shades in this powder, and I picked up the shade Porcelain. The way that they described this product and the marketing that I saw... before the launch on social media made this seem like it was going to be more of a skin perfecting powder than I felt that it was for me. Most powder is going to blur to some degree, but I just didn't really feel that this did that any more than a standard powder for me, and it definitely didn't seem to smooth my skin at all. So those claims were kind of fails for me, but the biggest fail about this powder is the fact that it does not keep my oils at bay whatsoever. No matter what, I have to repowder with this, but even when I do that, my skin still looks greasy by the end of the day. One of the days I captured footage with this is when I was wearing the CL Skin Tint, and that's definitely a very hydrating, glowy product. With that, oh my god, my skin looked... horrible by the end of the day. So greasy. My makeup did not hold up at all. It looked so, so patchy. So that was a mess. And I wanted to try it with the Maybelline skin tint instead. That's definitely still a glowy product, but not as dewy as CL. And while that definitely helped, my skin still looked oilier than I would like it to at the end of the day. So I just... didn't love this powder in the way that I was hoping to. If you have dry skin, I could imagine you really loving this, but if you are somebody like me that not only needs powder to set makeup and help it to last all day, but also to keep oils at bay, I would just avoid this. I don't think you'll love it. Let's move on to bronzer. Everybody was raving about the new Makeup By Mario Soft Sculpt Bronzing and Shaping Serum. This is a liquid bronzer that is supposed to be Mario's softest sculpt yet. It warms the complexion with a sun-kissed glow and softly shapes targeted areas with a sheer natural second skin finish. There are seven shades and the three shades I was sent are fair, light, and light medium. I have the same issue with these that I do the other bronzing product that he has, the light cream bronzer in the pan. And that's that. With the exception of this deeper shade, these look quite muddy on my skin. Like they're just a little bit too cool and undertone for me, but I will say I'll give it to them. The formula feels divine. It has an incredible... incredibly lightweight gel serum like texture and it's super easy to blend so it's definitely a very easy to work with product in general especially Because it's also something that I can build up and blend on top of powder And that's something that I feel the need to do with this product because not only is the finish here by itself But once I set it with powder, which again I have to do I have oily skin It kind of just like disappears to me This product is the epitome of no makeup makeup because not only is it sheer and coverage, but it has that Perfect, slightly glowy skin-like finish. So even though the shades were not great matches for me and I definitely was wanting more warmth from them, I think... I thought that I was going to end up loving these until again, I wore them throughout the day and saw that they just don't hold up well for me. Not only do they fade majorly by the end of the day, but they also go a bit patchy. And that doesn't happen to me with my favorite bronzing products. Even my favorite cream bronzers, which is nude sticks if you're curious. That doesn't happen to me with that. So for me, there's no need to replace any of my bronzers with these. Speaking of nude sticks, that was an unintentional transition. They launched something called a tinted blur sculpt stick. And this is supposed to be a... subtle contour stick. So they say it's a lightweight cream to powder, ultra soft matte contour stick that creates a natural subtle contour and adds dimension to the face. They only have this available in three shades. I'll show you quickly the two I have nude light neutral and nude medium neutral. So this is obviously the one that I was using and I know it's supposed to be a contour, but even still, I feel like it just pulls a little bit too cool on me, which is a shame because this is such a beautiful product. Similar to the bronzing stick. It feels ultra creamy to the touch, but as you blend it, it starts to thin out and go dry and powdery. But not dry like it feels dry dry on your skin, just drier than the wet creamy feel at first. And I also have said that I feel that same way about their bronzing stick, that it's like a cream to powder, but this one takes that to another level. It just goes so... thin and powdery. It's amazing. Despite that difference in texture, it is so, so easy to work with. Honestly, maybe even a little bit easier, even though I think the bronzing stick is already super easy. It just glides across my skin. It's so blendable and buildable, and it has a gorgeous soft matte. slightly blurred finish. And if you would like to see what this looks like side by side next to the bronzing stick, I have a couple of screenshots to show you here. The contour stick is definitely less pigmented and more matte in finish. So while I really love the way that this feels and applies, I just don't think it's quite the right product for me personally. Not only is it just a little bit too muddy on my skin tone, but it also just doesn't have quite as much coverage as I would personally like. Again, that is totally fine because this is supposed to be subtle and more natural. So if that is what you were looking for and you have oily skin that can handle a cooler undertone, then you'll love. Next up is the new C'est Du Bronze... Bronze? Du Bronze? That's it. That's what it's called. Du Bronze. This is a soft focus, effortless liquid bronzer that is available in six different shades. I was sent the shades Sand and Salt. Again, both of these are just not... quite warm enough for me to use as bronzers. I mean, this one's way too dark, so I wouldn't use that anyway, but that is like, that's giving very cool. Let's see how they describe that actually. Oh yeah. It's supposed to have cool undertones. Fair to light? What? No. Too dark for me. So shade range is definitely not amazing. There are not only not very many shades, but they, yeah, have these cooler undertones. Light to medium tan looks truly warm, but I don't know for something that's supposed to be a bronzer. It's like. This is something that is like a hybrid between a serum and a cream. Compared to the Makeup by Mario bronzer, I would say that this one is definitely creamier and just more emollient. It's a formula that's really nice and easy to work with. It's blendable and buildable both underneath and on top of powder. And the finish, I would say, looks really juicy and dewy when you first apply it, but it does kind of settle down on the skin to look... a little less wet. I was surprised by how much I loved this at first. I think it looks really beautiful and while it's not the kind of product that I always go for because I do love like a nice soft matte bronzer, I thought that this was going to be something I added to my collection until I took a look at the wear footage. Compared to my favorite Nudestix bronzer, it just definitely doesn't wear as well. That dewyness does start to translate to be... a bit too shiny on me and it also looks a little bit patchy by end of day. So close, but not quite. Oh my gosh. Next we have a product that really ticks me off. It is the, wait, did I skip something? No. I really like to go in order with like creams to powders to my brain. It is the YSL All Hours Hyper Bronze Bronzing Powder. So this is described as a soft powder bronzer that leaves your skin with a 24 hour healthy sun-kissed glow. Who is leaving bronzer on for 24 hours? Remember when that used to be like a really big marketing point for makeup brands? Like last 24 hours. I'm like, who's doing this? Even back in my crazy party days in college, I never had makeup on for 24 hours. Anyway, there are five different shades in this and they sent me two shades that are just not the best for me. This one right here is far too dark. It is shade three. Shade two definitely works a lot better, but only if I have self-tan on. If I don't, it looks too orange. I did go to Sephora to take a look at shade one in the store and I was like, that kind of looks like my perfect match, but I did not realize that this is $65. Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's talk about how this performs first. So I would say it definitely is a nice bronzer. It applies well. It blends well. It has a nice, like they said, soft matte finish. So I think the way that it settles on my skin is really nice. It has great lasting power. I want to be honest. I think the packaging sucks. Like I get what they're doing. It's YSL. I know, but this is, I don't like it. Sorry. So is it nice? Sure. Yes, it is a very nice bronzer, but if I did not know this was $65 and you handed this to me and like discreet packaging that didn't look like this with let's say like the L'Oreal infallible bronzer. And you had me test out both of those, like a split face kind of test. Would I know or think that this is worth $65 compared to the other side? No. So if you are somebody that likes luxury beauty and that is fun for you to splurge on things like this, it makes you feel like you're treating yourself by all means, go for it. I am certainly not judging you, but I just don't think that this is worth $65. Like if you're going to charge $65, you need to be amazing. And I don't think I would say that about this. Like, yes, it's really good, but not $65 really good. Let's move on to blush. First step is the new lawless pinch my cheeks, soft blur. cream blush. I don't know what it was about the marketing of this product, but it got me. Just the way that the shades looked, I was like, my God, you're beautiful. They have six different shades and the one that I picked up is Angel. It's like the most perfect color ever. So this is a weightless, creamy, velvety soft texture blush that delivers long wear, buildable cover allegedly for the cheeks and lips. Oh, I didn't know they were saying this is also for lips. Okay, so let's talk about this. This is a super, super creamy. balm to powder as well. And honestly, like you would think it wouldn't do that when you look at how creamy this is, but as you start to blend it in, it goes so thin and truly has a powder-like feel. It has a soft matte finish that when put on top of glowier complexion products looks really nice and fresh and not too flat. But this just doesn't wear well on me either. I was so bummed because again, I think the shade is... gorgeous and just that like fresh look at first. I loved it, but it definitely does go a little patchy at the end of the day and just isn't something that I'm going to keep in my collection because of that. I'm sad. We need to talk about these. The House Labs Color Fuse Glassy Blush Balms to be specific. These are serum based high pigment blushes with 70% skincare and proprietary complexes that hydrate and make the skin look more plump in a long wear glassy balm. This comes in eight shades. I have four of them. They actually, I'm so bummed. They sent me the entire range of colors at first. When I saw some of those like hot, bright, deeper colors at first, just in the packaging, I was like, oh, there's no way I'm going to be able to wear those. And I immediately put them in my giveaway pile. But now that I've tried these, I'm like, I wish I kept them. So the shades I have here are glassy lilac, glassy pomelo, glassy hibiscus, and glassy rosette. And I don't think I have... ever felt another blush quite like these. They truly have the softest, smoothest, most amazing texture. And they somehow have a gel-like feel to them despite being packed into a stick. And they're very, very slippery, but not greasy whatsoever. So when I was first watching these and playing around with them, I was like, there's no way that this is going to like work out and last because they're just like slick, so slick that they're so easy to work with. It's like a little too easy. I start getting suspicious when things feel that good. And I totally understand why they are highlighting this as a glassy product because these give you that glassy skin look. They have sheer to medium pigment and the most gorgeous skin-like glow ever. That does definitely get toned down once I apply my setting powder, but these are actually very easy to work with on top of powder, which I love because it brings some of that juice back without it being too much. So imagine my surprise when I realized that these actually wear so well. I just didn't think that that would be the case. It's really difficult to find products that are creamier and look juicy on the skin like that, that last well, but they have somehow done that with these House Labs blushes. I am so obsessed with these. I'm so excited to keep them in my collection. And honestly, I'm probably gonna run out and purchase a couple of those deeper, brighter shades because they just look so fun. And now that I know that this is not like a crazy, overly pigmented formula, I feel like those are shades that I would enjoy wearing. Thank you, thank you. Anyway, another very splashy looking blush launch was the give beauty dewy plump collagen cheek tint These are supposed to be high-performing liquid blushes that weightlessly flow over skin delivering deep hydration Streak-free radiance and a luminous long wear finish this tint hits different they say they Graciously sent me every shade in this launch of which there are six so I have hibiscus peony bouquet marigold Mary, Marigolds, Hibiscus, and Nightshade. And honestly, I just am not obsessed with this shade range. I feel like this kind of demonstrates something I was saying in a recent video, which is that I feel like a lot of these brands are- I'm launching blush collections that look really fun to the eye, but are not necessarily the most flattering on actual skin. Out of all of these, I think that Hibiscus and Nightshade are the most, like, actually flattering and skin-friendly, but I cannot wear Hibiscus because that is too deep for my pasty skin. This does have kind of a serum-like texture. It's similar to the C'est Cream bronzers, but definitely quite thinner. But this one is just not very seamless to work with. If you were trying to... build it and blend it. If you're just applying one light layer, then I think it applies just fine, but it's that building process where it starts to go a bit patchy. And I did try blending this out with both a sponge and a brush, and I got the same kind of patchy result with both. I was able to fill in those patchy areas by using a patting motion with a brush, so it's something you can definitely make work, but it's definitely not one of those products that you can just easily slap on and blend and make look beautiful no matter what. And when there have been so many launches of blush and bronzer like that lately, it makes me not want to reach for these. Before I apply powder, these definitely have a juicy finish on the skin. And after setting with powder, they obviously like flatten out quite a bit, but they look pretty patchy so I was like oh great I mean I'm gonna try to see if I can build on top of this I doubt it surprisingly I was able to build back up some of that pigment and kind of cover up some of the patchiness on top of powder so that is good but in saying that they definitely don't stay looking amazing all day long while the pigment does hold really well in some areas it definitely is a little bit patchy in others so this is a blush launch that was just kind of a big pass for me across the board between the shades it not being the easiest to work with and not wearing the best I'm like Nah, don't need. The last liquid blush I wanted to review in this video is the Huda Beauty Blush Filter. So this is supposed to be a pop of color with a filtered finish. It's described as a lightweight liquid blush with buildable pigments and finely milled micro pearls for a soft focused high impact glow. This packaging is so adorable by the way. I am obsessed with the like slightly see-through. So cute. They have five different shades available on this. I picked up strawberry cream and it literally smells like strawberries and cream. Yum. The texture of this is actually not super liquidy. It's really thin and it honestly has a little bit of a balmy to powdery feel, but I don't have any complaints about that. I like it. I think it's really nice. While this is a blush that is very easy for me to work with and I don't have any issues with it in that sense, there's something about this that I just don't like on my skin. At first I thought that maybe it was just because the shade wasn't the most complimentary, but... then as I was looking at it closer and looking at the footage, I was like, I don't think that's it. I think it might just be the kind of blush that once blended out in the way that I need to, looks a little bit too sheer for me. I don't know, I can't quite put my finger on it because I don't think the finish is the issue. They say that it has a soft glow finish and I would agree, it's like that diffused slightly glowy look. All of that's pretty, there's just something about this that I don't love on me. Every time that I tried this out, I was like, ugh. I don't like the way my makeup looks. So it's definitely not a bad product by any means. It's just not one I could get to work for me. The last blush I have to review for you guys is the Kosas Blush is Life Blush. It's literally what it's called. Blush is Life. Weird. So this is a baked dimensional and brightening blush. And it's available in eight different shades, which were all sent to me. We have Hype, Euphoria, which is definitely my personal favorite. Shocker. Blist. Thrill, Adrenaline, Butterflies, Swoon, that's a really good one too, and Dreamland. It's definitely a lot more pigmented than I was expecting given the fact that it's a baked blush. So it's one that you don't want to like load up your brush with, instead just start with a little bit. go from there. It'll build up quickly. The finish is definitely radiant and you get some of that blush lightery effect, which is really pretty. You guys know I love that. And it has great lasting power. So when it comes to the actual performance of this blush, I think it's really great. But I really was hoping that more of these shades would be more complimentary to my skin than they were. I feel like a lot, I like swatched and was like, oh my gosh, it looks stunning. But once it was actually on my face, I feel like a lot of the colors just like weren't doing... Me any favors if you are able to find a perfect shade for you in this range I think it's one that you'll really enjoy if you like a blush with a radiant finish But I am gonna have to end up giving most of these away because they just don't quite work out. Oh Dramatic the new Fenty Beauty highlights were so hyped up. I was like, oh my god I think this is gonna change my life because everyone says it's the demi glow light diffusing highlighter and the way this was described made me think of the hourglass ambient powders the essence pure nude highlight they literally call it a low-key glow it's not they sent me three shades one of which i just totally dinged so starting over here we have number one pretty pearls in the middle number two prosecco and on this side number three too too much i will swatch for you really quick so we have pretty pearls which is definitely my shade prosecco And Too Too Much. The shades are really nice. They actually say skin tone based highlighter. And I agree. These are like nice skin tone friendly shades. And it's definitely a good highlight. But it's just not what I was expecting based on what I was hearing about it. Because it's definitely not a super low key highlight. Like it's quite highlighter-y. And on my skin, I do think that it just looks a little bit too powdery. Like you can see that stripe of powder. Which is something that I just am not interested in when it comes to a highlight anymore. Obviously, I like a glow. as you can tell, but I want it to be one that melts into my skin versus sits on top of it with that stripe of powder. So for me, these ones just were not quite worth the hype. And neither was this, to be honest. This is the Iconic London Lit and Luminous Baked Highlighter. They only have this in one shade, which is called Universal. Honestly, can brands stop using that word? I feel like I need to do another video of like pet peeves, things I want brands to stop doing. That would be one of them. In what world is this universal? No, stop it. This one just does nothing special for me, which surprised me because I feel like there are products from Iconic London that I'm like, oh my god, these are so good, so underrated. This was not one of them. I think it's just too powdery, like you can even tell on the hand swatch. Powder. And if you are thinking, what are you talking about? That literally is a powder. What do you expect? I am going to show you what that looks like next to the Dior highlight. So here we have Dior. This is Iconic London. Like this just sits so much differently than this one. But that's just my opinion. That's my opinion! Moving on to eyes and brows, we have the newly launched Milk Tubing Mascara. This is one that I included in my recent tubing mascara showdown. I tested and reviewed 20 different tubing mascaras, had application footage and wear tests. So if you would like to see where that lands in the lineup, definitely check that video out. I will have that listed below. But for the sake of this video, I'll just say that. It's a good performing tubing mascara, just not one that is amazing looking on my lashes as I want it to be. It's just a little bit too straight, like there's not much curl to this mascara for me personally, and it's a little too voluminous for my liking without having the added length that I feel I need. So that's a pass for me, as is the Milk Kush High Roll Brow Tint. So this is actually described as a tubing eyebrow gel. I definitely didn't experience any like tubing situation when I removed this, but... I don't know. It's available in eight different shades and the shade that they sent me is Haze, which is their blonde shade. In using this, I just realized it's definitely not the right product for my eyebrows and like where I'm at in my brow journey. So my brows are microbladed and because of that, I really just need a pencil to fill in any areas where that microblading has faded or maybe wasn't as intense to begin with. And that's really difficult to do with a brow gel like this, because obviously it's going to get color on. all of my brow. So I feel like it just ends up building up color too much in areas that I don't need it. And at first this gives me amazing lift. I really thought it was going to be one of those that it's like that laminated effect where it lasts all day long, but no, the hold just isn't there for me. I definitely had areas of my brows that felt pretty flat. So all in all, not the right product for me, not to say it won't be for you, but it's not for me. Oh my gosh. One that I am so impressed with is the Mac Pro Locked Brow Gel. The hold with this brow gel is so, so long. impressive. I mean, see for yourself the before and after here with a full day of wear. The biggest complaint I have about this is the applicator. I just feel like it makes it tricky to be precise with small areas of my brows. It's such an odd shape. So that's the one thing I would change about it. But when it comes to the actual gel itself, good. All right, we have made it to the last category of this mega review, which is lips. Kosas launched a product called Kosas. hot liner, which is just their lip liner. I have two shades that I can swatch for you here. This one is infinite and this one is mega. Definitely really pretty shades. The texture of this is not quite dry, but it's also not really creamy either. It's somewhere in between. The pigment is just right with them and they have good lasting power for sure, but there's nothing about these that was making me like feel like I was dying to reach for them again. after the experience I had with the new Maybelline Lifter Liners. Those impressed me so, so much and for a lower price. So for me, when I have something like that, that I'm like, oh my God, it's amazing. It lasts so long. It's so creamy and it's cheap. It just, it makes me not feel excited about a product like this. Cause I'm like... What have you done for me lately? Again, not that. I think it's actually a very good lip liner, but the Maybelline Lifter Liners are just fantastic and $7.99 versus the $22 that these are. Tower 28 also sent me their lip liners because they just launched several new shades. So I will swatch what I have, which includes some of the OG shades, like this one. This is Fill Me In, Draw Me, Check Me Out, Paint My Number, Work of Art, and... Color me fine. So definitely some beautiful shades, but I just do not like the way that these feel. They are so dry and pencil-y, so much so that I'm honestly shocked that they have a little water drip and hydrating on the product page for this. I'm like, what? Like you can smell the pencil. They're so pencil-y. And while they're not crazy expensive, because they're $15, I just, I don't. think they're worth money like that. If I'm being totally honest, like this feels like a super cheap drugstore lip liner. Stick with Maybelline. Huda Beauty launched a product called the Faux Filler Lip Gloss. They launched it in seven shades and the shade that they sent me is glassy, which is completely clear. I'm gonna put some on right now. This smells real good. It's a nice sweet scent. I see where they were going with this doe foot, like you put it between your lips, but I honestly hate it. It's like I have to bite down weird. I didn't like. Zero complaints about this gloss after I initially apply it. It definitely feels comfortable. It has nice like cushiness to it. Really pretty shine. Like all of that is great. But I do find, sorry, I've got hair in it now. I find it thins out and loses that comfortable cushiness more quickly than some of my other favorite clear glosses. So like Amico Lay or Physician's Formula, I think that both of these are better. This is just definitely not something that I need in my collection at all. Okay. Products I wanted to love so bad. The Give Beauty Dewy Lip Plump Collagen Lip Gels. So these are actually in the same exact shades as the Cheek Tints, which I think is cute. I like when brands do that. So this one's Purple Irises, Peony, Bouquet, Marigolds, Hibiscus, and Nightshade. I think that these shades are actually a lot more flattering on the lips than they are on the cheeks. And like Nightshade even, you would look at that and be like, ooh, that's deep and dark, but it's. Sheer so it's beautiful and very wearable, but this is not for the faint of heart It is thick thick thick thick and it's definitely a little sticky and a little goopy with a super light layer It's fine But if you try to build this up to get a little bit more pigment from it you will very quickly get those like lip gloss string ease that stick together between your lips because it gets goopy fast. But it is so juicy and glossy. It kind of smells like cake. Oh, like it just looks so pretty at first. I love it. And the color I actually found lasts really well. It's just that the actual like thickness of this fades pretty quickly and all I'm left with is stick. So as much as I die for the way that that looks at first, I just, I don't want to keep this in my collection because I know I'm not going to reach for it when I have other things. that just feel better and last longer in a better way. You know? Editor Emily is going to be so excited because she loved this when she tried it. So surprise, you can have these. Second to last, we have the In Beauty Project Sun Balm SPF 30. So these are sunscreen lip balms. It is a mineral sunscreen, so it has 13.5% zinc oxide, which is SPF 30, as I said. Did I say that? And it comes in three different shades, which are... Pink? Whoa! Oh my god, I did not need to. I did not mean to squeeze all of that out. I'll do a hand swatch for you guys here. Do it with me. There's pink, latte, and rosy brown. If this didn't have sunscreen in it, it wouldn't be a product I would feel the need to keep in my lip collection because there's nothing about it that I am obsessed with in terms of feel. While it's definitely comfortable, it's one that is thinner, does not last very long, and doesn't have like a ton of shine. Hello. And it actually is very pigmented. I do think that that color is super cute. But with all that being said, the fact that this is an SPF 30 lip product that has zero chemical aftertaste... makes this something that's going to stay in my collection. And I mean, it obviously does have a shiny finish, but you guys know I like a melty, glossy looking product. So again, if this wasn't a sunscreen product, I wouldn't feel the need to keep it. But there are so many sunscreen products I've tried for my lips that stink. I do have a lip sunscreen showdown that I posted last summer. There were so many lip sunscreens I tried out, so many I hated, and very few that I felt were worth keeping. So that actually does say a lot about this product that I want to keep it because, ugh. The chemical aftertaste, like there's so many things that can go wrong with a lip SPF. This does definitely have like a tingling cooling sensation, but it's not one that hurts like so many of the lip plumpers that have launched recently. So it doesn't bother me at all, but in case that's something that would bother you, then maybe this won't be for you. And last but Well, kind of least. We have one of the products that I was most excited to test out out of everything in this video. It's the Fenty Beauty High Shine Gloss Stick. You guys are like, oh my god, that's so you. I know. So this is a lipstick version of their glosses. It comes in 11 different shades and I picked up the shade Is It Fussy, which is a really pretty, slightly purpley pink that I already just don't need in my collection because I've got so many things like this. But I can't- help myself when it comes to a sheer shiny lipstick. I have to try it. These were a lot more pigmented than I was anticipating. I know that they say they have medium pigment, but I feel like this just looks like full pigment on my lips. And while they definitely are nice and glossy, I do not feel that they have the, what do they say? Luscious shine that they described. Again, it was just another one of those products where I was like, it's good, but like, it's just nothing remarkable for me at this point in my life being 30 years old and having tried. so many makeup products over the last several years. I also think I would be more inclined to enjoy this if it weren't for the scent. It has the exact same smell as their lip glosses, which did not used to bother me, but officially does now. I don't like the way this smells. It's got that classic like artificial watermelon candy smell. I don't even know if watermelon's the right fruit, but something artificial and I hate it. No, that's everything you guys. This was a huge review. I really hope that this helped you out and that you appreciate me diving into all of these launches. I know that I don't like jump to review products right when they launch anymore. That's definitely something that I used to do more of, but I'm trying to be a lot more thoughtful in the way that I do pull reviews together. based on the way that I see products being reviewed on social media. And lately for me that means taking a bit more time to really get a true feel for these products and compare them to other things that I own or other things that have launched recently.
