CAS - Central Authentication Service

Overview

• CAS (Central Authentication Service) is a system to facilitate a universal login for users.
• It is implemented at Western Washington University, providing a secure method for accessing services requiring authentication.

Features

Login Process

• Users are required to enter a Username and Password.
• A warning is provided if the CAPSLOCK key is on.
• Option to "Remember Me" is available for convenience.
• Links for password recovery, change, and logout are provided for security purposes:
  • Forgot/Change Password
  • Log Out

Security Note

• Users are advised to log out and close the web browser after accessing authentication-required services.

Browser Requirements

• Cookies must be enabled on the browser for Single Sign-On to work.
